We are looking to rent out a room in Barton, walking distance to the Kingston shops, Foreshore, and Manuka. Ideally you would be available to move in from January 5 onwards. The bedroom has a built in wardrobe. You would be sharing a bathroom and would have your own car space. You'll be sharing the place with two female public servants in their mid-20s. Internet and netflix are around $35 per month.
Hello! I'm a public servant looking to move as my current lease is up. A little about me: I work regular full-time hours. When not working, I enjoy cooking, cycling, hiking, swimming and hanging out over a tea or beer. I am a friendly, easy-going housemate, hoping to live with like-minded people. No bedroom ghosts please :) However, I also value personal space and do enjoy my down time. I also value tidy shared living areas and shared cleaning. I won't go crazy over a dirty breakfast bowl, it's more the idea of having respect for shared living spaces. Any questions, and I'm happy to chat! Cheers, Grace
Hi there, I'm moving to Canberra in Feb 2018 for a new role in public sector. I'm originally from Sydney and am looking for a place for 6 months. I'm pretty outgoing but like my down time too. I am super clean and am looking for someone who is too! Preferably would like to share with one other person - happy to have a wine after work! I love sports and reading crim fic novels. In my free time I like to chill with friends, try new cafes/restaurants and workout/go for walks. I'm currently in Sydney but happy to meet over Skype and go from there :)
I'm a New Zealanders and I'm moving to Australia to study a Master's in Environmental Science at ANU. I love travelling - I grew up in Uzbekistan, Georgia, and Armenia and I'm currently spending the "summer" interning in northern California. Hobbies - cooking, reading, tramping and hiking, fitness, Netflix. I've flatted for 5 years so I'm very tolerant and respectful, and I'm tidy and pretty quiet. I’m looking for a room solo until about June/July when my boyfriend will be moving over from NZ to join me. So I’m interested in short-term single rooms or longer-term rooms that are suitable for couples :)
Room available in my beautiful, sun drenched tri-level 3 bedroom apartment. Highly sought after area, located on lake, in the hub of the Parliamentary triangle and in walking distance to popular Kingston and Manuka. Close to City and Braddon. Apartment has reverse cycle air conditioning, spectacular views, located on 3 hectares of manicured garden with bbq's in a parkland setting. Secure building with lift access, very quiet area, with a fantastic on site gym. There is secured parking available and depending on who is home at the time, it would be available for you to use. My apartment is fully furnished, even the linen is included, just bring yourself :)
Hi there! I'm Luella, 24 year old female. I grew up in Melbourne but am moving to Canberra for full-time work in January 2018. I will be working in Tuggeranong, but am hoping to find a place closer to the city. I've just finished an arts degree in sociology and literature. I love reading and learning new things. I'm a mostly quiet person but friendly and hoping to make some friends in Canberra. I have a long term partner who will be remaining in Melbourne for work so I will be going back to visit semi-regularly, and he will also visit occasionally on weekends. I have a lovely 13 year old cat named Mookin who, now he is older, loves to sleep and have a cuddle. He's an indoor only cat and a room with an ensuite would be ideal so his food can stay in there and he can keep to my room.
Hello! I'll be moving to Canberra from Melbourne in January 2018 to commence work in the public service. I'm after something in the inner suburbs, preferably within bus/cycling distance to work. I'm flexible in terms of house or apartment, but would prefer to share with similarly aged housemates. I'm clean and tidy, respectful of others' privacy and can contribute some furniture if necessary. I'm a food enthusiast, big soccer fan and always up for a drink or two. Let me know if you're interested!
Hello potential flatmate! I'm moving to Canberra in January 2018 for a new role. I'm originally from Melbourne and I work full-time in government. I'm friendly, tidy, quiet, and alway keen to lend a hand. I also make a mean risotto. In my downtime, I like to spend time with friends, read, curate my wardrobe and be active (e.g. yoga or walking/hiking). Ideally, I'd like to live in a two person household. I'm currently based in Melbourne, but happy to Skype or arrange a viewing in early January. Looking forward to hearing from you!
Hi, I'm François. I come from France and I'am staying in Canberra for an internship as a student engineer until October 2018. I will be working all day during the week. I'm rather a discreet person who should not annoy you if you need calm, but I would also be delighted to chat if you have time.
Hi guys, I've been living in Canberra for the past five years having moved here from Melbourne to study International Relations/Law at ANU. For the past year I've been working full-time in the APS as a graduate. I'm a fairly socialable and relaxed housemate and don't mind watching Netflix and having a drink with housemates every now and then with out living in each others pockets. I've lived in share houses for the last couple of years and like keeping the house clean and don't mind working in the garden on the weekends. During the week usually go to the gym after work, enjoy cooking and playing a bit of footy. Over the weekends I tend to go out for a few meals/drinks or head to the coast in the summer. Looking at moving ideally at the start of Feb as that's when my current lease will be ending, but happy to move in earlier if necessary.
My name is Lachie and I'm starting in the public service in February 2018. I clean up after myself and am very easy to get on with. I am more than happy to run errands to the bottle-o or KFC (as I am a regular customer). I'll do my fair share in terms of housework, garden maintenance as well as shopping duties.
Moving from Sydney to Canberra to start a graduate program in January 2018. Looking for people to share accommodation with, preferably in Kingston. I am an easy-going and organised person. I love to have a laugh. I enjoy sport/gym, cafes, and a bit of nextflix. I am neat and tidy, and respectful of others peoples' space. I also enjoy a bit of banter and company. Looking for a friendly house where everyone gets along, but also has their independence.
Hi I’m Hannah, a 24yo originally from Melbourne and will be new to Canberra at the end of January to start a public service position. I am looking to lease a room in a share house with people also working/studying full time. I am a quiet and considerate housemate, respectful of personal space and tidy up after myself. I enjoy socialising (incl. wine and cheese dinners/beers on a Friday), being active and am looking forward to getting to know Canberra. I'll be moving from Darwin so won’t have much furniture initially, however am also interested to team up for a new place and contribute to the set up etc. I’m keen to live somewhere within bike riding distance to the centre of town. If you’re looking for more information about me or think I’d be a good fit for your place, please send a message through the site and we can connect through social media etc. Cheers, Hannah
Moving up from Melbourne in early 2018 for a grad role in the APS. Relaxed, tidy, and happy to share my Netflix subscription. Regular occasional gym-goer and hope to do some hiking over the weekends. Flexible with move-in dates. Feel free to send me a message, we could meet up over coffee for a chat if you're in Melbourne.
Hi everyone :) Like everyone else i am looking for a room to live in ;) I am positive, outgoing and always up for a chat. I am very social, but also respect and appreciate privacy. I enjoy being active, but am also up for netflix and wine. I will be in Canberra for 6 months, as i will be doing an internship at the Danish Embassy. As i am travelling from Denmark, the room would need to be furnished, as i do not have room for my bed in my suitcase ;) I would also be interested in team ups, and I have a friend (fellow intern) who will also be willing to move in, if two rooms were available. Please shoot me a message if you have anything that might be of interest :)
Hi there! I'm Gee, 26 years old and moving to Canberra to take up a graduate policy role in government. I've been living in a sharehouse in Melbourne for the past 9 months and previously lived in NYC for a couple of months so have a bit of share house experience. I'm not looking for a party house and prefer a quiet and pleasant home to come back to after work. I'm clean, pretty laid back and understand personal space although I love to have the occasional glass of wine or dinner with my housemate/s. In my spare time I like to read, binge watch an ungodly amount of netflix, learn Indonesian and hitting the gym. I also love to cook! Living in Melbourne I'm keen to see what Canberra's brunch scene is like and my aim is not to be a homebody during the weekend. I have a partner so ideally I'd love housemate/s who don't mind if he visits. He lives and works in Melbourne though so he would only be around on the weekends every 6-8 weeks. I'll also be going to Melbourne every month. I'm planning to bring my car, so would need off street parking or a parking permit but I'm happy either way. I'd prefer to go on a lease, and happy to complete a rental application etc Hoping to come down to Canberra to look at some places in Mid/Late December and ideally would like to move in late Jan (although I don't mind paying rent a few weeks earlier if necessary). If you're interested, please send me a message and we can get talking :)
I'm 40 and just returned to Canberra after three years living in Sydney. Originally from NZ, but lived in Canberra from 2011-2014. I work in media and communications. I like to go for walks (including some pretty lengthy ones), head to pub trivia and play golf. I think I'm a very considerate person to live with and am happy to have a chat or keep to myself depending on my housemate's preference and/or state of mind on a given day. FYI, I found a housemate online when I moved to Canberra back in 2011 and we remain very close friends today. Hoping to find an equally awesome housemate this time around. Let me know if you're keen to catch up for a coffee -- or something stronger. Gavin

Hi, I am professional male originally from Perth. An opportunity to advance in my career has seen me moving to Canberra. Enjoy having a chat but also like my down time & privacy. Looking for some housemates with similar interests and enjoy a quiet coffee or beer.
Hello! I’m a professional that works full time, pretty tidy, can make delicious food and cocktails and am a very drama free person. I’m an outgoing introvert, so I love company, but will need my own space to chill and recharge at times. I’m well travelled and have been living in Canberra for almost 2 years, but have been away for work almost a year of that collectively. I technically don’t have any pets yet, but my sister has a cat she’s caring for that I’d love to adopt and love animals in general. So I’m definitely pro-pets. I'd prefer a non-smoking and drug-free household, and while I don’t consider myself a clean freak, would prefer to keep the communal areas pretty clean (dishes in the dishwasher and not left in the sink for days, no popcorn left in the couch... you know, the usual stuff). I’ve got enough furniture for a 2 bedroom apartment but am looking to upgrade to a house and share with people to reduce my rent spendings so I can hopefully afford a house deposit and smashed avo’s on toast. I’m looking to share with cool professionals that are respectful of space but happy to share the occasional meal and a glass of wine. UPDATE: I've teamed up with someone and we're looking for a bigger house in the inner south. We'd be looking for one or two more people to team up with. The idea would be to have a spare bedroom regardless (so a 4 bedroom house for 3 people, 5 bedrooms for 4) and have a couple of living spaces. We'd also be looking for people that would be pro-paying for a cleaner once a month and are good with both dogs and cats.
I'm moving to Canberra from Perth in order to commence a graduate position with the APS. I'm friendly and get along with different personalities. I like to explore so will be out most weekends. I enjoy going to gigs and the beach in my spare time and am planning on moving my car with me so that I can go on day trips once I'm settled in.
I work full time for Federal Government and I've been in Canberra since Feb this year. I am single, I stick to my room and am a considerate, and clean housemate. I'm a musician and a gamer, however I won't play music loudly unless you're not home. I don't eat meat. I have the most beautiful, gentle and sweet adult cat, who is impeccably trained and thus is easy to live with. I also have a 9 month old kitten, who is a total sweetheart. I keep a tidy home. I love coffee and do enjoy a drink, but I don't host any parties. I'm serious about having a place with good internet, air conditioning and heating. Importantly, I'm willing to do all the ground work to find a pet friendly house that isn't too far from Civic. Ideally I am looking for a housemate that is around my own age or older. If you feel like we'd work as housemates, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Hello potential housemates! I've just moved home from London after a few years and I'm moving to Canberra for work. I'm looking for a comfortable flat with excellent housemates. I like living in a friendly home, but i'm the first to recognise the importance of having time to yourself. I'm easy to live with, I like things clean and tidy, and I have terrific taste in Netflix. Get in touch!
