Heya! My name is Sammy I'm a 23 year old Sydney-sider who is making the jump down to Canberra for work. I'm social, easy going and enjoy a chat but I appreciate my space too. I've been living in share houses for a while so I'm pretty well house trained; clean etc. I like running, yoga and adventuring around; Shoot me a message! Cheers!
Disability advocate by day, author by night. Easy-going. Clean but not OCD. Happy to hang out, and at the same time, respect quiet times apart. Friendly. Love curling up with a good book. Say hi!
We are a young couple working full time as well as studying full time online. We are easy going and enjoy watching a game of rugby, having a drink with friends, or going out for a nice bite to eat. We both work very hard and are clean and tidy. We look forward to moving in with someone who shares the same interests.
Hi, my name is Stephen and I'm moving up to Canberra from Melbourne for work. I'm starting a 6 month contract role in financial services and looking for a place I can call home whilst in Canberra. I'm easy going, organised and friendly. Some of my favourite hobbies include squash, bike riding and vinyl collecting.
Hi there, My name is Rashmi and I'm a 26 year old public servant working in the Parliamentary triangle. I'm looking to move into an existing share house, or to start a new lease with another awesome individual. I've been living in Canberra for 2 years, but am originally from Melbourne. I've been share housing for quite some time and consider myself really clean and tidy, respectful and very easy going. I'm a self-proclaimed foodie and absolutely love making food for my housemates and hosting dinner parties. I'm also pretty active and do enjoy checking out the beautiful scenery around Canberra. Coming from Melbourne, I'm often away on the weekend, so you would probably have the apartment to yourself a lot. Unfortunately I don't have any furniture besides that in my bedroom, so I would be looking to start a new lease with someone who has quite a few things, but would happily also purchase furniture if I can find the right fit in housemate. I'm looking for someone with a similar mindset, is fun, likes to have a glass of wine here and there and wouldn't mind having some Netflix binge sessions ;) My lease is up on the 12th of May, so am pretty keeeeeen to get the ball rolling. Please contact me and we can catch up for a coffee or glass of wine. Cheers :)
Fun, active, lover of (red) wine, good food and yoga. I am a full time lawyer getting a 6 month rotation with my firm in the Canberra office. Would love to find a nice space and good people to live with as my home away from home. In my spare time you'll find me in a boxing or yoga studio, hiking or spending time with my friends. I am very social, but self-sufficient!
We love to keep our spaces clean and if you choose to team up with us, you will be coming back to a clean and fresh common space everyday. Basic hygiene will be well taken care of. You might even be in for home cooked food (baked, grilled and steamed) and the occasional pan-fried. Socially, we can be both self-contained and sociable, depending on your preference. I am into social sector and will be actively volunteering in Canberra. David has a background in writing, IT and policy and will be reentering the Australia workforce.
Hi i am a HR professional working in the APS. I am currently living in my own apartment but am considering to move into or team up to do a shared arrangement somewhere south of Canberra. I am very easy and quiet person. I am a workaholic so i work early to late in the day. Please message me if youd like to team up or have a place to offer (preferably furnished).
Hi all, I'm a 28 yo female, recent PhD graduate in genetics from Adelaide and I'm starting ongoing work in the public service next month. I'm currently living on a farm outside of Canberra, so I'd like to find a place in Canberra before work starts, because I am not looking forward to the commute! I'm friendly and social, a n/s and I enjoy brunch (if food counts as a hobby 😉), reading, bushwalking, and hanging with friends. I also love animals, so I'm happy to share with pets.
I am looking for a room. I am a middle aged man who is a full time self-published writer and performer. I spend most of my days writing (plus admin and marketing my books) in cafes. I have been a counsellor, cleaner and public servant. I am 'spiritually' minded, for want of a better word. I have been either house-sitting or renting for a few years after the end of a long relationship. The place I was sold. I have temporary accommodation thanks to a lovely friend. I like to meditate, go out to places like The Front Cafe or Smiths, art openings and other things around town. I have a lot of friends of different ages. I like reading and going into the bush and I can cook well. I cannot drive as I have a genetic eye disorder but my brain seems to compensate a lot; so other than driving I am quite functional. I am pretty clean and tidy. I can pretty much talk about anything and I am quite 'chilled.' Also, I have plenty in my bank account to pay rent with, just not enough to buy; I am also on the visual disability pension Look forward to hearing from you. Thanks.
After 5 years of uni and two degrees I've landed a graduate job (private sector) however its on the other side of the country! So I'm moving to our great nation's capital from Perth at the end of June/early July and need somewhere to live! my budget is around $200-250 per week, less would be preferable and I'd consider more if it includes bills. I've lived out of home for the past 2.5 years so am very used to sharing space with others. I've very house proud and like to have the place looking neat and nicely decorated. I'm coming over with a car and a suitcase so a place with some furnishings is preferable but not essential I can buy whatever I need. I have a lot of clothes and shoes so need a decent wardrobe and probably room for a tall boy and queen bed. I am allergic to cats so thats a no-go, dogs are fine! I don't know a lot of people in Canberra so it is important to me that I get along with those I am living with and my new housemate(s) will be keen to hang out, explore and drink with me. I'm super active, like to run and generally be pretty healthy, I cook a bit too. I like to be social outside the house on the weekends, going for brunch, shopping and other girl stuff. I also like to binge watch tv (OITNB, Rick & Morty, Jane the Virgin, How to get away with murder, the Mindy project, New Girl, Suits etc) I don't watch a lot of movies but when I do they are easy watching chick flicks, rom coms or will Farrell/Seth Rogan type comedy. Likes: chocolate wine cheese a good pub feed eating sleeping being organised not being hungover dogs Dislikes: bugs people asking me to repeat myself then interrupting me after two words with the answer to my question mushrooms being late If you feel I may fit into your household please let me know! and keep in mind I cant move until 30 June
Hello, I am currently looking for a room around Kingston or nearby suburb. I am currently studying, doing my internship, and working part-time. I am easy going, friendly, tidy and adheres to house rules. I have experienced flat sharing in Singapore for many years before coming to Australia to start a new journey. I have a bubbly personality. Most of the time I will be busy due to studies, work, and internship, but I can still mingle with housemates at dinner or whenever I can. :)
Hello future housemate, I'm a 27 year old Canberra native, returning to my home town after a 9 year absence. I work in consulting and am studying part time. I love to cook, am an avid runner and have been known to enjoy a whisky or two. I have a soft spot for 80s music, political dramas and foreign food. I'm an experienced housemate (8 years in sharehouses) who likes to ensure that common areas are clean and tidy. I also have most things required to set up a house, but am happy to put these into storage if they aren't required. If you're looking for an easy-going, respectful and sociable housemate who occasionally likes to boogie, get in touch! Cheers Dave
I've recently finished Uni in Melbourne and I'm starting a graduate position in environmental science in early March. The job is based in Canberra but also includes travel overseas and around Australia for short periods of time. I've lived in a share house for the last 4 years and I'm tidy and respectful of communal areas. I enjoy sports, music, movies and most outdoor activities. If you think I would be suitable to live with it would be great if you could get in touch with me.
We are a young couple (not a fancy one) yet have dreams; dreams not too big, but practical; not impatient, but calm; positive & full of aspirations, yet respectful & ethical; do not drink (hence sober), yet social. And on.. and on.. And if we end up teaming together, you can fill the rest... :)
Hey there! My name is Andy and I'm moving up to Canberra in April 2017 to take a role with the Federal Circuit Court. I'm a quiet, friendly, lefty 27 year old whose interests include playing music, riding bikes and other similar generic recreational activities. I'm looking for some cool, like-minded housemates who are willing to share their hard-earned Canberra-local knowledge with me!
