Hi! I'm a 24 year old part-time student, part-time worker studying ecology and zoology in my final semester. I am social and outgoing but respectful of privacy, considerate, clean and tidy. I love sport and fitness, animals and food. I can move in any time as I am not locked in to a rental. Feel free to message me!
Welcoming room available in bright and airy Queenslander in Belgian Gardens. This is a high set 3 bed-roomed Queenslander with a large yard. It's fully furnished with fans and air-con throughout. The room has a double bed, bedside table, desk and wardrobe (am happy to store any of these if you have your own). The kitchen and living room are both a good size and the back deck is the perfect spot to sit and watch the mangoes grow. There is a separate second toilet. Close to beach and to the Strand, only 20 mins from the University and hospital. Huge shed that can be used for storage. Back deck with a breeze. Well trained dogs welcome. I am looking for someone to share my home – which often will mean having the place to yourself as I am away quite a lot. There are 2 rooms available which can either be used as 2 bedrooms rented separately or one as a bedroom and one a home office/study. Ideally I would love to find someone who wanted to rent both and I am open to discussing possibilities for this. Currently one of the rooms is furnished (double bed, bedside table, desk and wardrobe) and the other just has a built in cupboard (and a desk if needed) but I am happy to provide a bed for the second room if needed or any furniture can be stored if not required. All up for discussion with the right person (as is option of painting room colour of your choice :-) ). Belgian Gardens is a pretty quiet neighborhood, close to Rowes Bay and local shops. The house is walking distance to the beautiful boardwalk that takes you to Kissing Point and the strand and the cycle/running track to Pallarenda is 2 mins away. There is private parking and there is a bus stop less than 5 mins away. I am in my 40's and a social person who also likes their own space and am respectful of other peoples. I am looking for someone who wants a home – not just a room - this is a great spot and I would like to keep it well loved! If you are working full time, ideally over 30 and are a friendly, honest, reliable, active person who is relatively tidy and think this could be the place for you please do get in touch, I’d love to hear from you. Rent is $800pcm ($186/week) plus electricity for one room and $750pcm plus electricity for the other. Possibility of sharing second room as office space (with me) negotiable. Rent includes gas (cooker) and reasonable use of WIFI. Refs required (employer) and a months bond.
Easy-going, quiet, respectful of privacy and people's space and belongings, trustworthy. Very tidy and clean up after myself. Not a party person - prefer to have coffees, read a book. Happy to have chats. I will be working overnight shifts starting in a couple of weeks so will mostly be awake/social in the afternoons and weekends. I'm a student on a leave of absence this year. Trying to become more active such as kayaking and cycling. Love going for walks along the strand listening to music and ending up in Juliette's for a coffee. Love to travel when I have the time and money.
Hi there! I'm relocating to Townsville and looking for a place to live (duh!). I'm 26, originally from Adelaide but have moved around different remote areas in SA, QLD, WA and NT the last few years. My next move is to Townsville, where I'll be working for a community service based on Palm Island. I'm very outgoing and spontaneous, and love getting out and exploring new places, getting involved in my community but equally happy to chill at home with Netflix and a wine. I'm a big animal lover and have 2 dogs that live with my parents in Adelaide. I've lived in share housing for six years, so comfortable with sharing house work and bills, etc. What I'm looking for: I'm very flexible but ideally the following: own bathroom, WIR or BIR, car space, close-ish to Townsville City/airport area. I have some kitchen stuff, but I've sold all my furniture, so any furniture provided would be a bonus! :)
Hi! Have recently moved into a fully furnished flat in West End, less than ten minutes from Townsville city. The place has everything needed including a bed provided in the room on offer. Air conditioning throughout the whole house, and wi-fi internet is free and unlimited, as well as Foxtel. Short walk to shops and Rowes Bay, bus stop is right at the front door if needed. The bathroom is shared with me. I'm a sports journalist by trade.
Hi, we are a sweet Scandinavian couple in the start 30's, we are pretty new to Townsville, only been here since January. We are both working and are currently staying 7 km's from the city, but really wanna find a place closer. We are looking for a nice private place close to the city and the strand. Preferably with some sort of outdoor area, as we enjoy the outdoors a lot.
We are three Norwegian students going on an exchange semester to James Cook University in Townsville and are looking for a place to stay. We are kind and respectful people who love joking around and have fun, but can also appreciate a calm and relaxing environment. We love socialising and meeting new people and can't wait to get started with the semester in Townsville. It's going to be an adventure, and we'll get memories for life, maybe even with you? :)
Main bedroom available upstairs in Queenslander, all inclusive of bills, 500GB wifi and Foxtel. Couple/twin price $200 per week, bond is twice weekly rent. Has a ensuite and walk in robe. Rooms have their own entry so would suit someone with odd hours. Flexible with furnishings. Two single bed included/available. CASH ONLY, non smokers, no drugs, no pets. We have a friendly dog who will no doubt want to cuddle you and roll over for a belly rub. We rent the entire house and live downstairs. Laundry will be shared with us. We have no aversion to you being downstairs with us at times either. We have an 8 year old son. As it is a family home, we would prefer people who are not "party animals." Social is fine. You will need to fill in a rental application but you will not be on the lease.
Walking distance to the Strand and rockpool. Across is the Park. Great for swimming, climbing and out door activities. Close to the city. Quiet neighbourhood. Two split airconditionings, lockup garage

Hi! My name is Natascha. I am a Danish student studying at the University of Southern Denmark. From July to November, 2017, I am studying a semester at JCU in Townsville. I am 22 years old, and moved out of my parents house at the age of 19, thus I am used to take responsibilities. I am very organized and hope that my housemates appreciate clean surroundings as well. I hope to meet new people and get a lot of great experiences during my stay. And it would be nice to live with someone who is social, but still respects a closed door once in a while. My preferences: I look for a place to live near the city or JCU, preferably with other students or people in the age range of approximately 20-30. The house (and room) needs to be furnished, since I will not be able to bring my own things from Denmark. And it would be great if my potential room did not have a carpet, since I am allergic to dust. It is a plus, but not a must if there is a pool ;) When arriving in Townsville on July 12. I have booked a room for a week, thus giving me time to visit potential housemates before making a commitment. Feel free to message me with details of the room, if you think that I could be a potential housemate, and let's set up a meeting.
Hello there! My name is Anna and I am a Danish girl going to Townsville for my semester abroad at JCU. I am tidy, easy to live with, quite social, and love being outdoors. During my semester, I obviously need to pass all exams, but my main focus will be getting great experiences and meeting new people. Therefore, I hope to end up in a house were my housemates and I can be social at times while having the privacy to study at other times. As I moved out of my parents' house when I was 20, I am able to live by myself and cope with everyday challenges. I am looking for a share house that is already furnished, since I am unable to bring furniture. The location should be with easy access to uni and the city, either by bike or public transport. I arrive in Townsville on July 12, and have booked a room for the first week, leaving me time for visiting potential housemates before making a commitment. If you are looking for a new housemate during semester 2 this year, feel free to message me the details of your room, and we might be able to set up a meeting for when I am in town.

I am a Danish engineering student, going for a semester in Townsville (2. period 2017). Looking for a place to stay during my study period. I am easy going and prefer social flatmates, but also respect a closed door. Contact me if you want to know more.
Laid back, easy going bloke that is very considerate of others. Looking for a place to live that offers a little bit of luxury. Very interested in a teamup situation to find a fully furnished unit or house with a compatible person/s. I work 10 hour days Mon-Fri & rise at 4am so not interested in night-owls unless very quiet. I love Rugby League & most sports as well as watching a good movie or an entertaining series. Bit of a home body - don't go out very much these days - been there done that. Visit friends on Maggie Island occasionally for the weekend.
Hello, Moving up north in late June. Am a dancer coming up to join dancenorth full time. My weekdays will be full on but down for weekend adventures. Have lived in share houses for 7 years so have experience living with multiple people. Any questions fire me a message. Cheers, Sam :)
Heey, I have a room for rent in a shared awesome house for SHORT TERM (28/06 to 27/07). The house is located by the beach on The Strand by the rockpool. It is a nice house tucked in behind a unit so there is a lot of privacy from the main balcony. But you can still hear the waves crashing on the shore. :) The room has a queen size bed, desk, chair and other pieces of furniture, large wardrobe with plenty of storage. Weekly rent includes all bills. PM me if interested. I'm looking for someone willing to rent the room throughout this period preferably. Looking forward in hearing from you.
Located on the base of Castle Hill, a close walk to the city / strand / shops. Beautiful view over Townsvilel CBD and overlooking Magnetic Island to Cape Cleveland. Apartment is furnished, however the room is not, so bring your bed! You will have the main bedroom with ensuite and plenty of cupboard space! You will also have your own secure undercover car park. There is a pool on site.
Hi there! We are two German students who will be attending JCU from July to December. We are studying Biology in Germany and are planning to major in Marine Biology in a few years which is why we are so excited to visit Australia for the first time. We enjoy going out with new friends and spending time cooking or doing sports. We are non-smokers and fun to live with :)
Quite, clean and respectful. We are both from Townsville and need a place to stay ASAP. We are generally not home very often and are at work most the day. We do gym outside of work and we don't bring friends and people over regularly or at all. Although we are young we are mature.
Hey, My name is Dave and I am a 30 year old Canadian who will be living in Townville long term. I will be attending James Cook University taking environmental sciences. I am also a scuba diving instructor and will be looking for work in the tourism or hospitality industry while I am here as well. I am an easy going guy who likes to keep my space tidy. I am into fitness and the outdoors who also enjoys being social and would like to be living with like minded people.
