This large, renovated 1920s/30s home has a very peaceful, calm and homely feel. Beautiful leafy outlooks from all the rooms and plenty of sunlight helps to create a little oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the every day. However, having said that there is still plenty to do in the area. The house is only a 20min walk to the beach!! and an 8min walk to Church st Brighton, which boasts great cafe's, restaurants, shops and a cinema. It's also only an 8-minute walk to the train station (Sandringham line). The city is only a 20min train ride away! You're close to Elwood and St Kilda but it's that little bit further out to be a bit calmer. Having just moved out of St Kilda myself, I'm really appreciating the tranquility of the area but also feeling more safe. The room available is very large, has polished floorboards, almost floor to ceiling windows that looks out onto the beautifully maintained garden and a brand-new IKEA wardrobe. Not to mention ducted heating (for the winter!), the house stays very cool in the summer. Plus, you only have to share the large, newly renovated bathroom with one other person :) The house features a big living room with stunning leafy outlook, polished floorboards, ducted heating, very large bedrooms, 3 toilets, plenty of storage space, car port and a beautifully maintained garden. It also boasts a huge, ornate bath (if you like your baths :)) Please note: The room can come fully furnished with a double bed, double mattress, bed side table, chest of draws and desk or can be unfurnished (except for the wardrobe). If you would like the room furnished it will be an extra $10 per week, so $250 pw.
Hi I'm Rob, originally from NZ, been living in Melbourne almost 5 years now. I'm 28 and currently working in the events industry. Just finished up with the Melbourne Marathon and now moving on to the World Cup of Golf for the next few months. I like to keep healthy and try to get out mountain biking a few times a week. Grew up with 3 sisters so very much house trained, friendly and considerate of others. Have a fairly busy life from work, but always try to have a catch up when i have the time. Happy to live with quiet or sociable people, have lived with both before and get along great with either. Love animal's but don't have any myself
My home is like my haven. I love to relax, chill out, and keep a loving, peaceful space. I'm from London, and have come to Melbourne for the summer to see if I potentially want to live here.. (Very exciting). I'd love to find a place near the botanical gardens and the ocean if possible, and share with someone who doesn't mind my slightlyobsessive love of meditation, yoga and good energy :)
Amanda: 28, loves blankets and Netflix. Jem: 27, loves ice cream cake and the beach. Bonnie: 6, blonde, loves treats and pats. Is a dog. We've been friends for years and housemates since July 2015, but our lease is up and we want a bigger/nicer place, hopefully in the beach-adjacent area. Jem also comes with a huge 60" smart TV and golden retriever. Amanda comes with the sunny optimism of a golden retriever. Both fully employed, clean, and good conversationalists. Non-smokers. Good DVD collection.
Hi my name is Matt, Position Postion!! I have a bedroom available in my Brighton apartment located on the water side of St Kilda St (Beach Rd). We are right next door to the Brighton Yacht Club and Brighton Baths! A truly magic spot to live! You can head out our back door down the Street 100m to the water overlooking the Yacht Club. Take a right for a run or ride into St Kilda on the famous Bayside bike path like we do all the time or take a left on the path to Brighton Baths (100m) where I swim and train in the gym located there. You can also take a stroll out on the pier for unbelievable sunset views of the city. Our last roommate moved back overseas. I'm Looking for a trustworthy individual who is responsible, reliable and clean to share a 2 bedroom first floor apartment in the quiet suburb of Brighton. The property is around a 10 min walk to local well known shopping strips and train stations located in Bay and Church streets. The room is in a beautiful older style 2 bedroom apartment with well kept gardens and secure gates. The apartment has everything you would need, literally just move in! Room is furnished with a new double bed, large wardrobe and huge chest of drawers. If you would like to bring any furniture or a bed anything can be rearranged. I am a busy with work and travel a lot so would like someone I can trust to enjoy the place while I am away. I have a lovely girlfriend who does not live with me, but stays on occasion. When I am not working we love to ride our bikes into St Kilda and Sth Melb, go away on weekends down the coast and travel everywhere. When we are home we are very social, happy, outgoing people who love to chat, cook beautiful food and chill out. Bond is $500, and i will need at least 4 weeks notice if you would like to move on. We have awesome wifi, gas cooking/heating and elec everything else. If this place sounds like somewhere you could call home please send me some information about you and I can arrange to let you check the place out. Cheers Matt
Mainly looking for team up - I am wanting to move from South East Suburbs to Bayside area Brighton - Port Melb for a sea and city change. I have a little girl who is 8 that lives with me and we have had housemates on & off over the years. I have a full house of modern furniture & all kitchen amenities, I do like my house to look quiet stylish. Hoping to find someone that is looking for a home to share in those areas and start looking at places with me, I have started looking already but I feel, even though I have a strong rental application that due to the price of houses in these areas my rental application may be weakened on my own. We are super easy going to share with young people who are still (respectably) coming in at 5am on weekends or older people who have a very chilled lifestyle. I do have a little dog who is my daughters very best friend that I need to accommodate for also. About us: I am a professional who works as a financial controller full time, we both snowboard & I wakeboard also, always doing fun adventurous things. My daughter is fairly hilarious and depending on you she will either be your new bestie or she will leave you be, she's a little more grown up than most kids her age. We're not home a lot, go away a fair bit and am always out & about doing things. I am pretty clean, even when things can get a bit untidy you generally don't find much dirt in my house, I am very easy going though and understand not everyone enjoys cleaning as much as I do. The only time you will find this to be untrue is when I am flat out busy and have been popping in home for 5 minute pit stops with no time to clean, but I always still try to be considerate of others.
Heya my names Glennys I'm 21 and I work full time in Fashion Design. Im looking for a nice little Bayside home preferably to share with girls of similar age. Im fun, friendly and socialable but do also like my own time. And im looking to move out as soon as possible xx

Room is mid sized with a double bed or you can bring your own. Room has a window looking out over the inground pool and spa. 2 bbq' outside. One a 6 burner gas bbq and the other a half 44 gallon drum which is used for bbq; and a fire pit. Very easy going housemates. We keep fit. Hi! I recently moved to Melbourne (from Germany) and started my PhD here which should take me around two to three years. I'm looking for a place that is either in walking distance to Monash's Clayton campus or in a more lively area with good public transport, preferably close to the beach. I'm practically working full-time, sometimes very late, but I do like to go out for dinner and drinks. I'm very much into music and movies but I'm very used to wearing headphones. Besides that, I have a talent for fixing things with mostly great success. Cheers, Hagen

Susan is very creative and works as a graphic designer while I work in Motorsport and currently reintroducing a Formula 5000 race series to Australia which keeps me busy during the week. Weekends we like to get out and about and sometimes head beyond the city. Currently staying with my boss down the coast but both keen to move closer to the city.
Hi. I am a quiet living, friendly, retired lady who likes attractive surroundings. I am very clean, enjoy walking, gardening, visits to the Arts Precinct, reading, sleeping, movies and occupy myself a lot with writing memoirs and designing books. I eat very simply, stir fries and salads are favourites. My background was legal and also cultural activities which makes me quite diversified in my interests. I was born at Byron Bay, NSW and that makes me a water/nature lover.
Hello, I'm female, early 30's.... looking for a room URGENTLY!!!!! I'm a qualified Vet. I have savings. Rent will always be paid in advance, on time. I do have a large but very friendly dog. He is an older dog, sleeps all day and is basically a big lump however he will bark like absolute hell if someone knocks on the door or if there's intruders around. He sleeps beside my bed at night (in his own bed). He's toilet-trained and never had any accident in the house. Really the only flaw with him is that he will EAT continuously if given the opportunity! I clean up after myself and my dog. I've shared with people in the past and I'm definitely a very considerate person to live with. I'm a non-smoker and don't drink very often. I don't know anyone in Melbourne so I'm certainly no party-animal! Also, I should mention that my dog is very good with other medium-large dogs but due to his size, he may injure a small dog. He has been raised with cats and is fine with them once slowly introduced. If any or all of this is of interest to you, please let me know :) (Long term preferred but willing to accept short term also) Preferred suburbs - Clayton, Oakleigh, Noble Park or anywhere near the beach as long as you're within 1km walking distance to a train station. Move in date - NOW!!!!! Regards, Kris
I am a new graduate Occupational Therapist seeking a new start in a new city! I currently live in Adelaide but am wanting to move to Melbourne to start my new professional life. I am a tidy and respectful person and will always pull my weight within the household. I love to travel and have been to quite a few countries in the world in the past few years, which I hope to continue doing. I really enjoy being social and meeting new people. I'm looking for flatmates who are easy going and welcoming who can point me in the right direction for starting the new chapter of my life.
Hi There, Myself and my partner Sophie, are moving with work from Sydney to Melbourne on December 1st. Sophie is from Scotland and I am from Ireland, we will be moving to Melbourne for the foreseeable future and are looking for somewhere short term for now but possibly waiting further if everything goes well. I love most sports and Sophie loves music. We both enjoy a Sunday roast and a few drinks some weekends. We would like to consider ourselves fairly social and friendly people :) We will be working quite a bit so Monday to Saturday's we are usually rather quiet and unwind with movies after dinner if we are not working late. Ideally we would like to share with another couple who would enjoy a few glasses of wine/beer, board games and some questionable music :-) But we are open to whatever options available and look forward to getting to know more people here in Austraila. Cheers
