Hello all, I am looking to sublet my 2nd double bedroom for 3-6 weeks from January - February 2019. Located in Richmond, the single-fronted Victorian house is bright, freshly painted, newly furnished, and has a small west-facing courtyard. My wee tabby cat Layla also lives here. DETAILS: Rent = $295/week Bills =$35 / week Deposit = 2 weeks rent Start Dart = January (flexible) 2019 End Date = mid-February 2019 The room comes with a double mattress and bed base (I also have bedding if you need it), but is otherwise unfurnished and up to your taste and needs. There is a magnificent fully-restored marble fireplace (though not operational) with newly built-in wardrobes either side. The window gets afternoon sun and overlooks the courtyard. The room has new carpet and has been freshly painted white. There's also a TV outlet in the room should you want to have a TV, as there isn't one in the living room. All in all I’m looking for someone who values a peaceful and happy home, and who will appreciate and maintain the space equally with me. I look forward to hearing from you with questions or to come see the house. Kindest Stephanie
This brilliant house is hidden behind Burnley station, in a beautiful collection of houses all surrounding a park. Vegetable boxes, a fire pot and outdoor table setting will make the courtyard a haven in every season.
Long-term room available in Richmond for a girl. I'm looking for someone easy-going, organized and friendly, preferably in her mid/late 20s. If you have a good sense of cleanliness, it would be amazing! No party animals, please! You will be sharing the flat with me: I'm Brazilian on my late 20s and have been in Melbourne for 6 years. I am a Psychologist and I work a lot, so I love to be at home chilling when I have some free time. The apartment is super illuminated and with plenty of windows, as well as fully furnished - you just need to bring your bags and move in! Your room currently has a single bed. You can change it for a double bed at your own cost. If you have a car, there is no problem - there's a car park in the building. The location is the sweetest possible - tram 70 is just 2 min away and Burnley station 5 min. You can also choose to walk 8 minutes to Bridge rd, where you can get trams 48 and 75. There are cafes and restaurants close by, Melb uni Burnley campus is just a couple of tram stops away (you can easily walk til there!) and Swinburne uni is two train stations away - if you ride a bike, it will take you 20min to get there. Bills (electricity, water and internet) are NOT included in the rent and are paid monthly - depending on the usage, it's around $80/month per person. Bond: 3 weeks. Talk to you soon :)
Room available in modernish townhouse located at the Burnley end of Richmond. The house has 4 bedrooms, kitchen -with dishwasher, oven and cooktop, lounge room, and two bathrooms - one is an ensuite to master. There is underfloor heating in winter, but no aircon unfortunately, so fans are the go in summer. Bills are in addition to rent and include electricity, water and internet. There is carparking available- either on street parking with a permitt from council or the parking spot is availble at an extra $40pm. The unit is close to public transport. Burnely train station is about a 5minute walk, and trams on Swan and Bridge road are 2mins or 7mins away. The lease is through an agent and rent is month to month. Everyone is on the lease and you would be too. Bond is $950 (website wouldn't let specify). The room available has a built-in wardrobe and can fit a queen bed, desk, and shelving. The room is on the second floor where two other bedrooms are, and the shared bathroom. The room is available anytime from the 13th of Dec . Can come furnished for $200 (i.e. buying leaving housemates things), or unfurnished.
This house is all about the location. It is a 5 minute walk to Burnley train Station, 10 min walk to Vic Gardens and there are awesome bars and cafes all within a stones throw, The house has also got a great backyard that is perfect for having a few beers or a BBQ.
Seeking MALE FLATMATE. This the east-facing upstairs room of a classic terrace home. You get an enormous bedroom, plus an ensuite and a wide deck to survey the neighbourhood from. There is tonnes of natural light through the french doors and a 2m-wide built-in robe. There is the possibility of buying the current queen bed. What's great: location is amazing, the house is extra amazing (for inner city living the house is very very large), easy access to public transport, cafes, restaurants, pubs and the MCG. The house has a massive kitchen, lounge and dinning area, ducted heating, and a sunny courtyard with a BBQ. The house comes with one off street park and there is plenty of street parking (parking permits are required). The bedroom is unfurnished while the rest of the house is furnished. Considering the street is in the middle of Richmond it is nice and quiet, and has a very friendly feel.
Modern 3 storey townhouse, brilliantly located in Richmond. 8 minutes walk to Burnley Station, about 6 minutes walk to the Swan St tram stop and right near the Burnley entrance to the freeway, you won't have trouble getting around. We're offering a large room with air-conditioning and exclusive access to a small decking area suitable for storing a bicycle or something. Re: parking, there are a few unrestricted spots nearby and there's also some 2P 7am - 7pm spots that don't seem to be patrolled (current tenants have parked for months on end to the tune of a single fine).
Room in a lovely newly renovated Richmond workers cottage. Room is beautifully sunny with a large original window that looks onto the front porch. It’s close to all the shops and bars that Richmond has to offer. The room has a double bed, and storage space for your clothes. You also have access to our kitchen, bathroom, living space and gorgeous courtyard round back.

Five mins walk to train station (Burnley Station) and 10 mins to city. Close to Bridge Rd / Swan Rd night life. Large furnished living area, kitchen and private rooftop balcony. Come and live the 3121 dream... Tucked away down the Burnley end of Richmond, our home is a bright and spacious haven with loads of character and quirks - just like us! Featuring three big bedrooms (one could be yours!), a shared bathroom, roomy kitchen and living areas, and a great outdoor area/ beer garden - the house is all set up and ready for you to move in (although we wouldn't knock back a bigger fridge...) The available room easily fits a queen bed, desk and drawers and includes a built in wardrobe and lovely fireplace feature. Street parking is available (we have one spare permit) or you can take 75, 48 or 70 trams and walk to Burnley train station - all just 5 -10 minutes walk away. If you like to ride or run, there is a park and the Yarra river trail at the end of the street. The best part of our place (other than us, of course!) is that we are within easy walking distance to all the great cafes, pubs, breweries and restaurants along Bridge Rd and Swan St! When it comes to the boring/practical stuff - we split all bills equally (gas, electricity, water and internet) and share the cleaning duties between us. Rent works out to be $999 per month (a bargain for such a great area!) This is NOT a party house, but we do like to unwind with a wine/ beer or few at the end of a hard day and our weekends are for total relaxation... Please message if you would to arrange an inspection - Tuesday or Saturday arvos are best.
The house is on a very quiet street, yet it is only 5minute walk to trams, 10mins to coles, plenty of cafes pubs and restaurants in the area. It’s only 10minute tram journey to the city. Light and bright house with a screened windows and skylights in living space. Polished floorboards. Reverse cycle AC. Gas cooking. Shower over bath. Laundry taps. Ample storage space in hallway. Courtyard receives afternoon sunshine. Unlimited internet $30/ month. Rent has been paid until 14th December. Tenant must be on lease which expires in April.
Claire, Maddie and myself are looking for someone to temporarily join us from 20 December 2018 to 3 February 2019 ONLY (our lease is up). We have lived in our much-loved home for just over a year and occupy 3 of the 4 bedrooms. Our house is located in arguably the best part of Richmond, just off Swan near Church. The house is double storey with 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, laundry and a HUGE open plan kitchen, living and dining area downstairs. A further 2 bedrooms and bathroom are upstairs. The house has central ducted heating throughout, and air conditioning in the lounge room and upstairs. Your room is generously sized with a BIR and located downstairs. Furniture included. Outside has a decent sized deck/courtyard and a Weber - perfect for a few drinks and BBQ in summer.
Super bright and cozy apartment in an amazing location overlooking Burnley Park. It's a 6 minute walk to either the 48/75 tram on Bridge Rd or the 70 tram on Swan St. It's a quiet building on a beautiful, quiet street. The unit includes a washer/dryer, however, all of the furnishings in the lounge will be gone. I'll be sourcing furniture/kitchen stuff, so if you have anything you want to bring along, let me know. There's parking in the garage under the building as well as plenty of street parking. I'm looking for someone who can stay on for 6 months. Rent is $235/week and the bond is $1,260.
If you're looking for a furnished bedroom right in a 70s brown two storey townhouse and are clean and pay rent on time, this might be the place for you! About the place Its brown, its brick, it’s tiled and has brown carpet with an open plan kitchen (electric cooking sadly) and living room. There’s bedrooms and bathroom upstairs and a small side courtyard with concrete and astroturf and plenty of outdoor furniture. The room is furnished with a queen bed and mattress protector. I can supply some sheets and bedding if required. It will have lamps, shelves to store things. There are built in robes. (The picture is actually from previous tenants, it will be replaced on 20/11/18 when i have a chance to re-take photos) Rent Rent is $250 a week aka $1085 per month PLUS bills (electricity, internet and water) split 50/50. Couples are $1300 a month PLUS bills split three ways. About me I’m a weekday 9-5er. The house isn’t a party house, I tend to keep quiet during the weekdays and go out on weekends. I like living in places that are maintained equally by both housemates, especially in kitchens and bathrooms. I love live music and cats. About you You know the work involved to run a house and understand that ‘clean as you go’ . You understand if you spill wine on the carpet, you immediately sop it up and will pay for any carpet cleaning if needed. You pay rent and bills on time and preferably have a different schedule to mine so that we have an opportunity not to fight for showers every morning. You don't have pets and aren't be allergic to cats if I got one. If you eat meat you're thoughtful enough to turn on the exhaust fan and use a designated fry pay. If you're a guy you put the seat back down and clean up the toilet after you've used it. You also don't have much stuff. This is really important! The house has very little storage and I've just moved from a much bigger place to a smaller place. We only have a tiny tool shed which is full. So its much more ideal for someone whose a backpacker or re-starting their life and doesn't have much stuff. Required ID, any references and proof of being able to pay required. I value my home and would rather not waste yours or my time. Its a hard rental market out there so I'd like to not jeopardise my relationship with my landlord! You will need to sign a sub-lease agreement outlining terms such as paying rent, cleanliness (rotate chores each fortnight to just vacuum and mop, change bathmats), splitting bills 50/50 and a few other things to ensure you don’t jeopardise my lease with my landlord who has rules about nailing holes to hang up stuff, using blutack, doing vehicle maintenance, damaging property, reporting maintenance issues, etc. I will require bond equivalent to a month’s rent, which of course will be lodged with the RTBA as per Victorian law. Interested? Message me telling me about yourself and give me some days/times you’d like to see the place. ****I just moved into the place as of 14 November, so as you can imagine the house is chaos and I need a chance to unpack hence availability. If you're okay with chaos and need a place sooner and we get on then I can consider early but don't want to make promises. I lived in my old house for 15 years so you can understand how much stuff I've accumulated that I need to find homes for! Its a much smaller place than my old house****
This is an apartment which is kept very clean and household duties are shared in common areas. Being in an apartment we cannot have parties, animals or no smoking. We are located right near the tram stop to the city and a train station. Lots of cafes in Bridge and Swan Street and a Saturday fruit & veggie market few streets away
