After my second bachelor study at university in Amsterdam (Netherlands) I decided to travel by myself through Australia for a year. I like to hang out, have a nice dinner with good drinks, lots of laughs and share interesting (travel) stories. I am adventurous and sporty and I really want to learn surfing now I'm in Australia! I'm planning to work full time for a long period to save money to finish my road trip through Australia. That's why I'm looking for a room with fun roommates! One really important fact about me: I'm clean and tidy and respect others privacy.
Easy going, self sufficient, friendly and tidy, that's the dog, Salty. The human is OK too. I am interested in places in the general region, having moved to the area from far South Coast NSW. I am currently living at Numulgi in the hinterland looking after a house and some lovely dogs and I am intending to rent for a year or so while I get to know the region and choose a home to buy. We prefer to be close to a dog beach or in the forest but are also happy in town with a private leafy outlook and access to good dog walking spaces. I am active and creative and busy keeping up with the demands of a multi-faceted career. I make natural dyes and do botanical printing, I also work in adult education and professional and technical writing. I like cooking and baking, gardening and growing food. I am fortunate to love my work. I sometimes travel for work but mostly work from home or nearby workshop. A shed, roof, garage area or warehouse space I can use for workshop would be fantastic, especially if I could live in it! I'm good to live with because I am respectful of the space/time/social needs of others. I ask, listen and am able to express my own needs and perspective. I do not like drama. I make sure Salty is happy and other members of the household are comfortable with him and understand his cues and commands. Salty is pretty friendly, a desexed red Smithfield, he likes most humans and other animals, he walks away from drama with other dogs rather than be involved in aggression. I live a mostly healthy lifestyle, lots of dog walking and swimming - not much party these days! I still love music and dance. I drink alcohol now and then and I do smoke occasionally. I always make sure no one is offended or adversely affected by my smoking.

Close to Byron CBD...less then 10 minute bike ride, 25 minute walk. Roadhouse cafe 5 minute walk. Professional style kitchen and laundry. All bills included, unlimited WiFi. Single $350, Couples $425. Short term welcome. NO PETS...Lilly Pilli is a nature reserve with lots of wildlife.
Minimalist who looks for a zen and inspiring place in town :) Hello! I'm Rosa (31), from a warm place, the Canary lslands, in Spain. I've been living in NZ for the last 2 and a half years. I’m already in Byron! I’m studying yoga teacher training in Byron Yoga Centre, just in Byron St, in town. I’m also working remotely as a Senior Designer for a creative agency based in Wellington, NZ! I’m staying in Lilly Pilly at the moment in a short term place till I leave for NZ in August. I’m applying for permanent residency in NZ which is exciting! that’s why I need to be in NZ for 30 days. I’m coming back to Byron on the 13th of September to stay for at least 9 months so I am on the search for a nice place to feel home! I love surfing. Seeing sunrises and sunsets. I also love arts and especially photography, drawing. I’m all about people, sharing. I love practicing active listening, having a chat about anything and everything regarding life with either a tea or a glass of wine, having a nice social time listening to some music, and maybe sharing some vege dinner as I'm vegetarian, becoming vegan, but I don't mind people cooking or eating meat at all! I have no time for Netflix :), but happy to watch a movie together. I'm looking for a nice, open-minded and inspiring place where it feels good to invite friends sometimes but I'm definitely not into crazy home parties. I am a really active person during the day but pretty chilled by night. I'm super flexible and easy going. I've been living in so many different environments, I know how to behave in community, I’m super tidy and considerate and have lots of common sense. I don’t need much, just a room with minimal furniture (I'd rather prefer space) where I can unroll my yoga mat, set up a candle and some nice incense and find some quietness to practice some meditation and yoga if it’s too cold to go to the beach (or either a living room with some space). Also, a place where I can study, read yoga books, do online homework and also uploading some graphic design files to dropbox with a good wifi. I’m practising minimalism, so I carry all my life belongings with me, up to 20kg. Plus a longboard I just got. (I sold or donated almost all I had in Spain and NZ). Ideally, I'd love to walk to the Byron Yoga Centre (yoga lessons) and the beach (surf). Let me know if I sound like I could be a good match!
Mel and I have been living there for 5 years now and we reckon it's the convenience and quietness we've created. It's close to the shops and a short bike ride of 10 min. Into town. It comes fully furnished with linen and doona It's bright and sunny with a clean appearance that welcomes you home at anytime. By sharing the payments it makes for less expensive living and the friendliness of others to live with.. we are both active and eat at regular times a non-vegetarian foods. We welcome vegetarians as most of our recipes are without meat. Mel is a final year Osteopathic student at SCU AND I'm a Building Designer who swims and cycles most days. The room comes with all bills included along with unlimited wifi for your convenience. Give me a call for a viewing.
I am super easy going and have a ton of experience in shared living situations. I have been in Australia since February - living thus far in Melbourne but looking to experience a life in Australia outside of a big city. Always happy for a chat over drinks or watching TV but also very eager to embrace Byron's natural beauty.

Hey! I'm a student in the UK and moving to Aus in Sept 2017 whilst studying Public Health. I'm looking to meet easygoing housemates that may be willing to show me a bit of the area, or explore together if you're also new! I love the outdoors, hiking, cycling, yoga and surfing, but also down for a dance and a drink. I'm vegan and really enjoy cooking and learning new things. Would love to meet similar people, with a laid back approach to life. Hoping to stay at least 6 months but very flexible, as I may move around depending on what's available :)

I'm relocating from Canberra to the Byron area at at the end of Aug (earlier if possible) I have full time work as a carpenter there. I have a little Aussie bulldog girl and a chocolate amstaff boy as well as two female ferrets, so am looking for people that love animals and laughing. My time outside of work is spent writing/creating music, exercising and training the animals. If you enjoy joking/laughing, connecting, animals and are conscious then get in contact. Would ideally like to find somewhere within 20mins from Byron, on some acreage in the rainforest. 😊
