$350/week•38 year old woman
I'm a 38yo Support Worker (NDIS and aged care) looking at two options currently:
1. Entering an existing household with maximum 2 other occupants. Also happy to rent a one bedroom granny flat.
2. To team up with 1-2 people to search for a place together and make it a home.
My preferred areas are anywhere from the northern beaches to the central-western suburbs.
I have more pets than the average person, so my ideal housemate/s would appreciate animals too. I've spent 17yrs working with animals as a zookeeper- they are a big part of my life and my husbandry standards are high. A clean/tidy household is imperative to me, so it's important that our standards/values align in that respect.
The kids:
🐕 One large mixed breed dog, he's very chill and spends most of his day sleeping. Friendly with other dogs and is an indoor/outdoor dog. We're a Delta Therapy Dog team and visit old people's homes and corporate events.
🦜 I have an 18yo small parrot, kept in a large cage inside my room. Supervised when out of the cage- on my shoulder or just hangs in my room, so won't be a pest around the house.
🐍 I have 2 snakes contained in enclosures. If my room is large enough they can bunk with me, otherwise I'd need to take up a bit of space in a spare room or open area.
🐟 Small fish tanks, most of them will be in my room and the largest hopefully in the living area (makes for good decor)
Most of my time outside of work consists of tending to my pets, but my hobbies and interests when I have spare time are: wildlife, plants, nature adventures, beach combing, making nature-based jewellery, spending time with friends, eating out, searching for good coffee, healthy clean living, listening to music and the occasional beer.
If you have pets, I'm willing to care for them if you work away etc. I'm somewhat allergic to cats though, and I don't 100% trust my dog around them. So I'd have to say no to cats, sorry!
Please reach out if I haven't scared you off 😂 🤞
Thanks!
