Hi, I’m Sai!
I’m in my late twenties and currently looking for a place to stay in Canberra. Originally from Colombo, Sri Lanka, I’ve been living in Sydney for the past four years and work full-time as a Project Engineer (8–5 schedule).
Friends would describe me as easy-going, analytical, and independent. I enjoy the outdoors—fly-fishing, hiking, and rock climbing are my go-to weekend activities. While I do value my personal space, I’m also social and enjoy the occasional shared meal, movie night, or backyard cookout.
Professionally, I bring over six years of experience in project support and management across industries like construction, infrastructure, and roadworks. I’ve worked with major firms such as Downer, Lendlease, Ventia, CPB, and BMD, often managing large-scale infrastructure projects and supplying traffic controllers, laborers, and plant hire services. Previously, I served as the Managing Director of ALTAR Traffic Control and co-founded ALTAR Industry, focusing on business development and operations.
I’m also deeply passionate about social impact and creativity. As the founder of a charity organization supporting Aboriginal communities, I work on building opportunities and pathways for Indigenous Australians, guided by my mentor, Thiru Kathir. On the creative side, I’m an independent filmmaker using storytelling to explore meaningful issues and spark important conversations.
