The house is a mere 5 minute walk to Canterbury Station, which will get you to the CBD within 20 minutes. The shared areas are spacious, including dining room, living room, kitchen, laundry, study, deck, terrace, courtyard, and double garage. Your room will be the second bedroom, with built in robes and adjacent private bathroom (we have our own). The room is 3.8 x 3.1m. We have plenty of furniture for all of the shared areas, including a 55" TV, Xbox, Wii, Foxtel, Netflix, washing machine, all kitchenware, BBQ and enough movies/books/board games to never leave the house again. We plan to upgrade our fridge and couch (unless you have these). You'll just need whatever you want in your room, but there will be room for more in the shared areas if you like! The images are from the agent so the furniture will be different. Unfortunately we're only allowed one pet on the property. $320 p/w for a couple or $270 p/w for an individual, not including bills, which would be split evenly. *Update* - Thank you to those who have already contacted us. The room is currently leased pending the landlord's approval and we will remove the ad when that happens.
Looking for a place to live while I finish my degree!! I enjoy staying active and hanging out with friends. I’m a regular volunteer at the Brotherhood of St Laurence so I get amazing discounts on furniture and bric-a-brac if you’re interested. While I would ultimately love to become mates with my new roomies I fully understand that everyone needs their own space - so do I! I’m currently studying at La Trobe but I want to stay to the east to be near the family. I have two dogs but they are fully vaccinated, well behaved, and mostly sleep all day!!
Hi there, I'm Eilonwy. My lease recently expired, and I'm looking for some new scouting room mates to sign a new lease to. I'd like to be wherever we land until I have completed my degree in biochemistry. I am boisterous, active, happy and organised. I'd love to make friends along the way, but I also enjoy my privacy. Please feel free to contact me. Thank you p.s. love to cook; would love to be able to share and have meals with my room mates :)
I'm an easygoing visiting fellow/researcher with VU from China, married, who don't smoke or drink or keep pets. I am visiting Melbourne for a 12-month period. Most of the day, I'll stay in my room reading or writing or go to uni or public library. Not a party type of person, I highly respect others' privacy. BTW, I will be most likely to do a lot cooking as well. I teach English at a local university back in China, proficient in English language, so communication won't be a problem.
Hi Hello! My name is Alex and I'm a 22 year old student who is currently working as a waitress to pay my bills (so I make a top notch cup of coffee if that helps). I'm half way through my degree of Professional Writing and Editing at RMIT, and like to read, write, go out with friends and binge Netflix when I really should be doing homework in my spare time. I'm a very friendly, bubbly and tidy person by nature, and love sitting down and sharing a bottle of wine over a good chat and some good tunes. So if any of this appeals to you, just give me a buzz. Look forward to hearing from you! x
38 Years old male, professional manager, works in Project Management firm in the Docklands. Also a MBA student. Clean, tidy, organised and responsible. Quiet and want to have my private time, although I always like to have good chat and solve the world's problem over a drink :-) Regards
Hello, my name is Jacqui. I have lived in share-houses before, and while I have lived with my mother (the past 7 years), I have been offering my services as a house-sitter. I am a quiet, honest, friendly person, and I study BSc full time, as well as volunteer in astrophysics research. I work casually as a science Educator for high school and primary students, and spend almost every evening at home - as I do a lot of study and research (I'm not one to go out a lot). I enjoy living with others, as I appreciate company when I come home, which is why I have always had a pet growing up! I am looking for places in Hawthorn/Hawthorn East/Camberwell/Malvern/Balwyn/Canterbury area, as it is close to my university, and easy to get to and from the city (I have a full license, but don't own a car, so I use PT). My budget is $160 p/w. I realise that is quite a low budget, but at the moment that is all I am able to afford. If you are interested in contacting me with a possible place, please keep in mind I will only respond to ads that are in my budget.
Hi! I'm a pretty laid back person who is looking for a place that I feel comfortable in and get along well with the other residents. Some days I like to go out and socialise, other times need to sleep and binge watch tv. I'm planning to head back to study at the start of 2018, but am looking for a place to live close to Swinburne University before then :) I like horror movies, coffee and chinese food.
Hey. I'm just back from travelling around Europe for 2 months and am looking to move somewhere close to the CBD or a train line. I moved to Melbourne about a year ago after many years of living in London (I'm originally from Adelaide). I'm 43, work as a lawyer, I like travel, music, books, art, film. If this sounds okay, please message. Cheers Polly
Friendly and fun guy working full time in the city and studying marketing at Swinburne. Originally from Geelong, but lived in Melbourne since graduating high school quiet a while back, and recently returned from a working holiday in London and traveling Europe, lots. Clean, considerate, quiet, but social and enjoys a few drinks.
Hey guys, I'm a Personal Trainer who works at a local Hawthorn gym, I'm super active and energetic! You'll find me out for walks most mornings and just generally outdoors especially when the sun's out =] I try to bury my head in books most afternoons if I have the time, and am a podcast nut! I'm known to order a disproportionate amount of uber eats but also love to cook when I have the time, which unfortunately isn't often these days. A couple extra fun facts include, that I worked as a professional Tennis Coach at Melbourne Park between 2010 - 2014 and completed 7th grade Violin whilst at Melbourne High School. I absolutely thrive off interpersonal interaction but am not much of a party type. I'd much prefer to enjoy a nice bottle of red over dinner with friends and stimulating conversation. Thanks for taking the time to read through, hope to hear from you soon.

I am an easy to get along with guy who is a clean roomate. I am sociable but reserved and dont stay up late partying. I thoroughly enjoy eating, including indian, italian and malaysian food. I love to spend time in cafes. I also take a keen interest in politics, history and sport following Essendon in the AFL.
My name is Jack Allan and I am currently studying Telecommunication engineering at RMIT, I have lived on student accommodation and currently reside in West Footscray. I’m mature, house trained and not looking for anything close to a party house. I’m interested in retro electronics, obsolete media and I collect both of these. I am currently receiving Centrelink and am working casually at The Reject Shop on Bourke street so I’ll need easy access into the city via public transport. Even though I rely mainly on public transport I have my green p’s and have a little Mazda that I will park somewhere near the house. I’m looking for an unfurnished room and will need a room that will fit a queen bed, desk and bookshelf, preferably with a BIR. I also have couches and a 55” TV that could help populate a loungeroom if needs be. Also looking for something in either the East or North. Send a message through if anyone has anything available, cheers.
I work full time as a consultant for a skin care company, I stick to myself at home but love to socialise with my housemates. I enjoy cooking & binge watching tv shows. I have a five year old rescue greyhound named Frankie who lives mostly on my bed, he's house trained & loves a good cuddle. I like to read in my spare time & always up for an adventure. I spend every long weekend camping so don't expect me to have any rowdy parties but I do love having an occasional games night with my mates.
Hey, I'm Kitty the little 20 year old Tasmanian who is little lost in the big city. Living over here with no family times can get a little scary without having a place to call home. I am respectful, clean and an all round happy person. I am studying full-time at Monash university and working at Super Glue in the city. I am a very social person that is not opposed to having a boogie every now and then. My current lease is up in February and would like to have accommodation sorted before I am back at University.
Hi there, I'm easy going, quiet, respectful of others, reliable and love to laugh. I have a small male cat, 7 years old. He's very loving and gets along well with other animals. I'm currently employed full time and work 9 -5.30 Monday to Friday in Box Hill. I'm looking for a clean and safe place to live, preferably with another female around my age.
Kiwi guy living in Melbourne for the forseeable future. Open to longer lengths of stay however 6 months is a solid baseline. I tend to keep to myself however I'd never consider myself antisocial. Usually pretty quiet. I do have a 10 week old kitten however she's very intelligent and well trained so she keeps tidy. Love all things nerdy, reading and travel. Any other questions feel free to contact me. Cheers.
I am a starting PhD student (on a generously paid scholarship). I am quiet, respectful of others, and always diligent and on time with payments as well as other responsibilities. I am glad to say I have never missed or been late for any bill or payment! Because I am starting my PhD, I will not be very socially active in my spare time. This means you will never have to worry about me being loud, negligent or of an inconvenience. I keep to myself, but definitely like to make sure whoever I am living with is going well and that they are happy with the arrangement. I am, however, always down for a chat. I do not drink, smoke or go out partying. I am pretty quiet, but really conversational if the feeling is mutual!
I'm looking for a quiet location, with public transport in walking distance, for 6-12 months, ideally near Box Hill or Blackburn. Must be LGBT friendly. Moving between now and March 12. I'm very clean, neat and quiet. I do not work or study due to diagnosed chronic pain, but my income is reliable. I have been sharehousing for 2 years so far and never had any trouble paying bills. I have a rental history, and some furniture/appliances (depending on where I end up, I'll keep what I need), including my own mattress. I don't drive. I am single and I'm a very quiet shy person, definitely not a partier. I don't drink or smoke or take drugs. Gluten free omnivore. Happy to share my cooking sometimes if you're up for that, I make great roast pork :) And of course I contribute to cleaning. I like to write and draw on my computer, I enjoy art and I love cats. Am I right for your house? Please send me a message if you have any questions! Thanks for reading!
I'm Norayr (Norry), 23. Looking for a room in Melbourne's Inner Eastern Suburbs, relatively close to work. I work in Aviation as a flight instructor. Love travelling, cooking, catching up with friends, pets (I have a yellow lab but he won't be living with me) and music! Requiring a medium to large unfurnished room. I have my own furniture. Looking for a room in an existing sharehouse, or team-up.
