    Lauren

    $300/week35 year old woman

Hey everyone! I'm Lauren. Sadly, the time has come to move out of my current gorgeous abode in the Maleny area as the property has sold to new owners. I'm soon starting an interesting new job (making healthy vegan ice cream, hello) in Woodford, and therefore looking for somewhere between here and the Glasshouse Mountains region (as everywhere else further north or east would create too long of a commute; I'd like to keep it to 30-40 minutes if possible!). So — Maleny, Balmoral Ridge, Witta, Beerwah, Glasshouse, Landsborough, Beerburrum, Peachester, Elimbah etc.; I would tentatively consider Caboolture if the perfect place turned up, though infinitely prefer living in nature to housing estates and perpetual traffic. (UPDATE: Also including suburbs like Caloundra West and Buderim to expand my options, since I would rather find the right place with the right people than keep my commute shorter, and may be returning to independent support work to supplement my income and flexibility while other life pieces fall into place.) And, I can move any time between now and end-September (after returning from North QLD for a music festival), or during October if nothing ideal turns up before then. Now, some of the more interesting points about me: I'm a spiritually-minded, highly creative, conscientious, earthy, affable person who loves my peace and quiet and early nights — though I’ll gladly hit up the odd gig or festival or cultural event that catches my interest, not to mention share in deep and engaging conversations about our wonderful, mystifying, quirky world; a sociable introvert, you could call me. Aside from my TBC role as an ice cream artisan, I toggle between various passion projects of the writing and photography persuasion, and do some work from home as well as out in the community. As implied above, I simply adore nature and would love to be somewhere I can wander (a lot) around forests, mountains, water, or parks. (On the note of walking, I've recently returned from five weeks of hiking from France into Spain, so I'm a little obsessed, as well as kind of a travel nut, though in my mid-thirties I'm finding that I crave more peace than adrenaline from being on the move all the time). Also very environmentally-/health-minded and care about things like recycling, composting, water filtration etc. — putting back into the earth and our bodies that give us so much — that others don't think so much about. What I've also missed in my days of travelling (and, before that, living with a partner for 2.5 years), is living in a supportive, likeminded sharehouse; somewhere that feels like a soft landing, not just a place to sleep. My favourite living experience EVER was in an all-female home in Annerley, Brisbane, where kitchen floor chats about life, shared nourishing food, potluck dinners, composting and wellness practices and more were the norm; I learned and healed so much from living here. While it's not necessary (though ideal) to have something same-same this time around, I'm a contrarian Aquarian and therefore like living in places that are a little alternative/community-minded/conscious...and very curious to see what options are out there! There's a lot more I could write, but I'll save that for in-person gabs. Last thing, my budget is capped at $280-300 inclusive of bills; I mean less would be fantastic, though it would appear those options are few and far between these days, so...I'm considering a liiittle over what I'm comfortable with for the right place/people. Most of these points are open for discussion; I'm always willing to see what the Universe has to show me that I can't yet imagine 😉 Let me know if you have any questions, and maybe have the right abode for me! Much gratitude ✨🌱

    Erin

    $400/week42 year old woman

Hey there, My name is Erin and myself and my 14yo cat Boo are looking for happy, positive and uplifting place to live anywhere from Brisbane to the Sunshine Coast or possibly further north if something is available. Ideally we would love to live somewhere near nature or the beach, but we’re also not too fussy and can adapt when needed. We are looking for any type of long term accommodation, and that could be a room in a share house, a granny flat, a studio, etc. we don’t mind, because as I said we are very adaptable, but ideally we’d like a calm atmosphere and I would prefer an unfurnished space, as I do have my own bedroom furnishings. We’re both house trained, considerate of other peoples space, and we pretty much keep to ourselves, but also like to have a bit of a chinwag when the mood is right. I’m a big believer in communicating openly and honestly, as to not create any unwanted tension, because the last thing anyone wants is to go home and feel as though they are walking into a negative atmosphere. I’m an open book and happy to answer any questions you may have 😊 This is a poem that I wrote which describes who I am I'm a hippie at heart, I appreciate nature and see it as fine art. My spirit is free, I like to burn candles and drink peppermint tea. I talk to animals and they listen to me, I'm a little bit quirky you'll start to see. I get overwhelmed while I'm in crowds, I'd rather be daydreaming with my head in the clouds. Solitude is how I improve my mood. Being in nature makes me feel renewed. I'm not for money or material possessions, living life to the full is my ultimate obsession 😊💖✌️
