Hi! My name is Patrick, I'm 25 years old, originally from Germany and I study innovation management in Aarhus (Denmark). I'll be in Melbourne for an exchange semester starting July 2019 and I'm looking for a shared flat to join for these 4-5 months :-) I'm keen to make the most of living in Melbourne, including going out to eat/drink, going to (live music) events and the odd museum/art show visit. I enjoy going out just as much as a quiet night in and I'm looking forward to likeminded flatmates to hang out with. I'm easy-going, sporty, occasionally interesting and hopefully a bit funny now and then. I've been living in shared flats for a couple of years now, so I guess you could say I'm house-trained and used to being a respectful and tidy flatmate. Anyway - if you're into sports, especially football (soccer), (electronic) music (no worries I have great headphones) or you're a series geek who loves The Office and GoT, we'll get along especially well :-) Cheers, Patrick
Hi, I'm Durukan. I was 24 years old. I was working as a engineer, but decided to quit and now I live in Melbourne. I prefer a place close to the city center because I don't want to be away from events. I'm friendly and fun. I'm open-minded. I also work here so most of the times I'll be at work. Reason for coming to Australia is to improve my English so I enjoy talking. Always happy to hearing from you.
I am a neat & tidy student who is pursuing his Master's degree at Victoria University Cityflinders campus. Along with that, I have a job in Melbourne so it is possible that I could be the least available person at the flat but I would love to have a chit chat on the weekends. I respect the privacy of others but would love to hang out with my flatmates occasionally. Likewise, I would like to help with cleaning and cooking as well.
*Full disclosure-I am seeking a private room in a house or sharehouse, not a shared room* I am great to have a chat with about anything popular culture. I highly value cleanliness and hygiene. I don't demand that my room be massive or anything like that. I like being productive and organised. If the house is within walking distance of or a tram ride to the nearest train station that would be great. If you could provide me with an ironing board and vacuum cleaner that'd be nice, but I am willing to buy my own. If I want to have friends over for the night, I will let you know well in advance. I love music and I would like to be allowed to listen to it freely in my own room, and with headphones on while using the kitchen and living areas. I rarely drink these days, but I would still like to be allowed to store any alcohol I may buy in the fridge. The kind of set-up I'm looking for is to have a desk, a wardrobe and a window. In terms of the shower, my preference is for it to be behind glass as opposed to a curtain. Heating is an absolute must, especially in the weather we are experiencing this season. If there is a mirror in my room, I would like it to be full-body length. I am fine with moving in with a family, as long as it is not a family of young children
I'm Tom. I'll be looking for a new place to call home in the coming months and keen to find some likeminded cats with whom I can happily co-habit. THE HOME & VIBE: I'm searching for an established home--not a house--where my housemates are kind, respectful, fun and treat each other a bit like a lil' family. I'd love to live with people who are clear communicators and want to actively contribute to a supportive, clean, calm, healthy, happy and beautiful home environment :) Two or three other housemates with similar wrinkles/receding hairline (i.e. age) of 25-35 years old who are settled, and on a lease with a long-term mindset would be ideal. Home is more of a sanctuary for me: it's lowkey and homely with adult furniture (i.e. slightly more curated than a random couch found on hard rubbish day. Though don't get me wrong, I do love a good hard-rubbish find); home has a communal atmosphere, where we can watch The Bachelor and complain how sad the show is but secretly enjoy it at the same time (the many house plants can also watch and enjoy with us). Maybe my new housemates could help me hunt down the best parma spots in Melbourne. Admittedly, I think I've already found the best (The Birmy in Collingwood), but I'm open to be challenged. ABOUT ME: I'm 27 going on 65—my spirit age—and originally from Tassie (i.e. generally nice, like to bushwalk, want a Suburu Outback, two heads… you know the drill). I moved here 4-5 years ago so I like to think I have enough 'Melbourne points' to now be qualified as a fully-fledged Melbourne person. As such, I Iove a good brunch and trying out new courses to learn things like pottery, as everyone my age in Fitzroy has probably already done. I.e. Up with the trends. I work full-time in marketing at realestate.com.au and keep very busy with that and other adventures. My mantra: Sky's out, thighs out: Love the sun (lizard is my spirit animal), always wearing shorts and like to be in the sun doing whatever: biking, napping or sipping on multiple, back-to-back cups of tea (can never have enough) while pretending to read my book or chatting to whoever's around. Fast facts: Apparently I'm a tad awkward but in a good way (I take it as a compliment?). I'm gay, not that it matters but just FYI in case that bothers you, and also because I want to be around friendly people with generally progressive attitudes. As evidenced in the previous sentence, I'm not afraid of the Oxford comma. One day (in the far future when I'm ready) I want to get an Italian Greyhound. Recent Netflix binges: Chernobyl, Schitt's Creek, Special, The Good Wife, Terrace House. LOCATION & PROPERTY TYPE: I’m searching in Clifton Hill, Cremorne, Abbotsford, Richmond or Fitzroy because I work in Richmond, bike my way around (or PTV when desperate enough) and I prefer the north/east vibe. Ever since I left home 7 years ago, I've lived in apartments and this time around, I want to live in a house again... with a yard and all those simple pleasures in life I took for granted growing up :)
live in brunswick and looking for a share house or a likeminded housemate to move somewhere with in surrounding city suburbs or cbd itself! i’m also ok with slightly west or slightly north. i am a fashion/business student, super outgoing but also love privacy and space at times! love going out to fun places, so would be awesome to have someone who enjoys similar things - or a few dranks at home is ok! I want flatmates who can be friends and fam, as i love hanging out together and supporting eachother as friends do. I am respectful and quiet when need be, but naturally have an extroverted personality. I like things clean and tidy, but this is definitely excused on the hungover morning afters :) Obsessed with all things netflix, beauty, makeup, fashion, rnb/rap, FOOOOOOD 🤤 I consider myself a creative person, so i would love likeminded individuals. Sagittarius ♐️ I would prefer my own bathroom, but it’s not necessary. A car space would also be preferred. I like modern, sleek looking places! If sharehouse, i would need an unfurnished room as i have my own belongings. I am looking for a female sharehouse/flatmate(s)/to team up with. Since i love the chic sleek look, i would prefer a team up as we have more control over finding a nice modern place and get to go through the fun of decorating! Pleeaaaaaase don’t hesitate to shoot me a message, i would love to chat further with anyone interested 💕 all the love xo (I know my thing states “no smoking and no pets”, but i am not phased by either - especially pets. i am definitely 420 friendly and would love to find a house or housemate the same! is not a big issue if you are not tho, as it’s more of a social thing for me xx)
Hello! I’m Mariya 😊 25 year old POC, working part time in retail and studying art full-time. I have a cat (son) named Leo - he’s 3 years old and is a fully vaccinated, house trained, chilled kitty. He’s an indoor/outdoor cat. I have been house sharing for 6+ years, I am considerate, clean, respectful, and easy going. Left leaning, LGBTQIA+ and 420 friendly. I'm friendly and sociable but also appreciate my alone time. I like to live in a clean environment (particularly the bathroom and kitchen) but not overly anal about mess. Ideally, I'm looking for a place long term to call home with like-minded people who knows how to share a home. I work part time but get consistent hours + AusStudy so I’m pretty good at paying rent + bills on time. I enjoy all the usual stuff like art, music, film, eating out, going to shows, gigs etc. I'm not a party animal but do like to socialise which I do mostly outside of my home. Occasionally, i will have a friend or two over at the most. I tend to keep it pretty balanced during the week due to uni and on weekends I’m either at work or out and about catching some rays with friends or family. However I am also a homebody so I really cherish the time I spend at home when I get the chance, and when i do i like to listen to some music while making art, hanging out with my cat. I hope to find a place by the end of August, I'm starting my search early as i'm really keen to find the right place with the right people! ♥ Feel free to send me a message if you have any other questions!

Hello! 29 year old working full time as a designer in the skateboarding industry. Currently working in Port Melbourne. Looking for room in the Collingwood area as my current lease ends in 4 weeks with housemates all going separate ways. Clean, respectful and mature (sort of). Spare time is spent socialising, writing, recording music and travelling. Would love to hear from you if I fit the bill! Thanks :)
I am Elly, 36 year old PA with an adorable dog called Ace! I've been share housing since the early age of 17 - I know how to do it right! I work full time in medical administration. Looking for a room to rent in a share house or bungalow where my dog is also welcome. He’s great with other dogs and loves all people. I also have an apartment in Richmond so I am looking for a place to live when I’m not there so that my commute to work isn’t so long. In the meantime I Airbnb that apartment out. I’ll be going between the two houses. I volunteer once a week cooking/chopping/portioning at Fare Share (they're an organisation that rescues food, cooks it and then distributes it across Victoria to people who need it). I've literally walked across two countries with a 5kg backpack, this made me slightly more interesting (I think) and it taught me that a smile goes a long way in a country where you don't speak the language. Also, I have to keep active so that I can justify eating fried chicken, popcorn, ice cream and burgers...sometimes i get the balance wrong. I like to keep fit, cook, hangout with my very good friends, listen to music (can't play though) and drink coffee. I'm a good housemate. Pay stuff on time, notice when things need replacing, can sense when people need their alone time and most importantly - Emotionally stable :) (seeking same)
I'm Muireann, and I'm looking for somewhere to settle in and call home in the inner north with 2 or 3 other housemates, preferably similar age or a little older. Currently studying full-time (RMIT - M, Tu, F), working casually (Savers), and freelancing on the side (events). I'm ready to interview and move. The vibe I'm after is: homey, cozy, a bit social, and with people who understand their own boundaries and respect others' boundaries. Open and honest communication is best - reading between the lines doesn't always work for me. I'd like the odd gathering or to have friends around, but I'm not after a wild party house. I come with skills in cleaning, cooking (not a chef, but not terrible) and replacing toilet paper rolls. I also come with a waffle iron, but not much in the way of furniture (I could potentially buy something the house needs). I would suit housemates who prefer a clean, tidy, fairly well-presented home, with some knack for recycling. Having an animal around would be ideal - if there's not already an animal in the house I would like to look at the possibility of fostering a cat or dog.
I'm currently living in Perth, but looking at moving to Melbourne for the lifestyle, university and of course the many cafe's it has to offer. I've completed my bachelor's degree in Biomedical Science and work at a medical center- However, once I move to Melbourne I'll be working at a private hospital. I love for my space to be tidy and organized - my style is simplistic, just like my outlook on life - love to keep the vibes positive, have a chat and wind down at the end of the week (wine may be included).
