Hey there, I'm Jon. I'm originally from wintery Winnipeg, Canada, and have been living in Melbourne since Feb 2016. I'm looking for a private bedroom room in a 2-4 person share house and have to be out of my current house by Sept 12th. I'm looking for something longer term. I'm currently in Coburg, but want to move closer to the city, and closer to the freeway since most of my work is in the Eastern Suburbs. By day I work in a sales type job, and am also a part time music teacher. By night I'm a professional freelance musician. But don't worry, I'm very conscious and considerate of any practicing in the house, and usually try to do it around when people aren't around or outside the house entirely. I'm often out during the week nights rehearsing, but never in my home. I'm also sometimes/often away on the weekends a fair bit as a lot of my gigs are out of town. When I am around, I love to hang, chat, and cook. I'm a huge foody and cook quite a bit, and also love cooking for and with others ;) I'm a social creature and am looking for a home, not just a place to lay my head. I'd love to find people who enjoy hanging out, going for drinks or food, out to gigs and what not! I like my own space and privacy, but looking for like minded people I can become friends with! I'm a pretty active guy, when I'm not playing music or cooking, I like anything involving sports, reading, going to gigs, exploring the city and going out. Also a pretty serious backpackers and and always planning the next location. If this all sounds good to you, drop me a line! Cheers :)
New to Melbourne and looking for a room in a great share house or flat share. I am a young professional working full time Mon-Fri :) I'm pretty easy-going to live with and can switch between social mode and quiet mode very easily. Love a good movie, doco or tv show, down for house viewings of GoT and Rick & Morty if you're into that. Also keen for a chat, a glass of wine and a board game here and there. Prefer not to live with smokers as I am asthmatic and would like to live with other people who work during the day so our schedules don't clash too much. Don't have any furniture with me as I am flying over so if the room you have spare is finished that's a massive bonus! And if you are willing to help me pivot mattresses into my room then we can probs be friends :P Please contact me I need a house and a roof very soon lol -Matt
We're returning from living in Switzerland in February 2018 - looking for a place that could become available around then. Dylan is a social worker originally from Adelaide and Ezgi is studying a Masters in Construction Management at Melbourne Uni. We're both pretty easy going - enjoy our own space, but also enjoy a casual drink. Dylan loves cooking and we love good food. We enjoy travelling, weekends away camping and both volunteer as Scout leaders in our spare time. By the way, the dog in the picture isn't ours!
Hey guys, I'm Brian and I'm from Colombia. You'll have to forgive me if I wrote this badly as my English is a work in progress. I'm in Australia learning English at the moment and currently at an intermediate level and I will need to learn much more, so that's why I want to live with people that don't speak Spanish. Generally I work all days of the week so I'm busy most of the time but enjoy occasionally sharing a glass of wine or some food. It will be a little hard to communicate at times but I promise make my greatest effort! About me: I can say I'm fun and I'm really tidy and clean with some things like kitchen and bathrooms, (although that isn't to say I'm an obsessive compulsive about it) I love watching series on Netflix and watching soccer. I am only interested in living in the north and near the CBD with young people. I plan to move on October 10th and I am willing to pay maximum 700 per month. Tell me if you want know a little more about me!
Hey, I'm Jill. I've just been living in London for the past 2 years working in an advertising agency. I was living in Sydney before that but I am now keen to make the move to Melbourne. I like all the usual things - wine, trashy tv or Netflix, the occasional gym visit - and I'm neat and tidy and easygoing. I know a few people in Melbourne but am fairly new to the city so I'm looking for a place that feels homely with some nice flatmates. Would love to met anyone that may be interested with a spare room.
Hi there people. Myself I'm Chris, 31, Aussie world traveller type, Archaeologist working in the city for an engineering company. My gf Anna is 29, from Germany and works in tourism management, and is arriving early next month. I can move in anytime this month though. The details: preferably around the $1200 a month inclusive of bills, a little flexible depending on the place! Northern suburbs including: Carlton, Coburg, Brunswick, Collingwood, Northcote, Thornbury, Abbotsford, Fitzroy and so forth. Close enough to walk or cycle to public transport and shops on a quiet street. No party or hermit houses, something in between but respectful of privacy and space when necessary. Drug free drama free! Positive place, positive alternative people, preferably late 20s to late 30s. I'm the quiet, chilled, non drinker, into reggae, travel, outdoors, and films, whilst my partner is the social butterfly, hipster, feminist type that loves to keep busy. We are non smokers, into yoga, sustainable living, vegetarian, eco friendly, left wing, have a car for weekend getaways, and like dogs if you have them! Looking for a cosy, comfortable, relaxed, and fun place to feel like home. Where we can be ourselves and share things whenever it works with peoples busy lives! A veggie garden or some outdoor space, or a nearby park etc would be a nice bonus too. Any questions please just ask! Chris and Anna Sophie
Hello! I'm Angelica from Colombia. I'm currently studying myotherapy and working as a remedial therapist. I'm friendly, respectful, clean and tidy. I like to meet new people and places, read books, watch movies and tv shows and chill out.
Hey! My names Jemima but everyone calls me Mimes or Mimi :-) A little bit about me! I'm currently studying a bachelor of social work at Victoria University in Footscray and I work as a waitress. I love to draw, design tattoo's and chill in my room and watch shows like Rick and Morty, broad city and RU PAULS DRAG RACE! Tarantino films are my lifeblood. Overall I'm pretty clean and always tidy up after myself. I'm chill as a housemate and just like to go with the flow of the house dynamics. I'm happy with smokers, non smokers, drinkers, non drinkers, whatever you do, do you boo boo. I'm not a huge party girl but I love a drink and I love live music. I keep my weeknights chill. I take my partying out of the house when I do it (but feel free, go nuts) I like going to my friend's houses a few days a week and getting out of the house in general as much as possible between work and when study permits so I'm not home a whole lot of the time but am totally happy to hang with my housemates when it suits but I am respectful of peoples space of course :) It says 6 months but ideally it can be longer with the right roomies! I'm also potentially keen to start a new household too :) So swing me a message and I'll get back to you! XO
I'm a soon-to-be lawyer, working full time and also doing a bit of study on the side. Lover of all things podcasts, good food, good chat etc. Outside of work I love hiking, travelling and good times. I'm house-trained and am happy to live with guys/girls, I'm an LGBTI+ ally and am flexible with location but has to be close to PTV
Hi There, I'm currently living in Moonee Ponds but grew up in the inner northern suburbs of Melbourne. I have my own business in export with my office located in Northcote and looking to move closer to work. In terms of living im super tidy but not OC, I have lived with other lads before to no success. Having grown up in a big family of females I generally prefer those living standards. I do have a car and will need some sort of parking (doesn't have to be garaged or secure). Hope that's enough!
Hey! I'm pretty easygoing and tidy and responsible with bills and everything. I'm a case manager for young people and work 9-5 M-F. I like to sit and have dinner with housemates or a drink after work or brunch on the weekend. I go to trivia once a week, gym/barre/dancing a few times. I usually go out on Friday or Saturday night. I have two cats, they live inside and are very clean, litter-trained, and appreciate a warm lap to sit on. My move date is totally flexible, I just have to give two weeks notice. I'm looking to team up with two others to establish a sharehouse, or join an established one. Looking for a long term home. I have a super solid rental history and have shared heaps before. Happy to pay extra for a bigger wardrobe or ensuite. Let me know if you have a room that is in the $220-280 range, or if you want to team up :)
HELLOOOOOOOOO!!! We are two energetic and adventurous girls looking for housemates similar to ourselves. We are two friends from University looking to move closer to the city. We love wine, cheese and more wine. We enjoy going out for a bite to eat and a few drinks but do love a good movie night every now and then......the kettle is always boiling for our numerous cups of tea. We are clean, respectful of privacy, can cook, love to bake and we are easy going. So if you enjoy wine and cheese nights, cups of tea and a lot on unhealthy baked goodS feel free to message us!
Hi! I'm on working holiday from the USA and am looking forward to moving to Melbourne! I recently graduated from college where I lived with a variety of roommates, so I'm used to shared spaces and can get along well with others. :) I plan on working full time but still want to go on adventures and see the city.
I work full time in the pet nutrition industry in SE Melbourne/VIC. Like to go out on weekends or get out of the city, but just as happy staying in and going for brunch Sunday morning. Currently living in the north, so I'm keen to be east/south east to cut out a long and frustrating part of my commute. I love to cook, have netflix nights or chats over a glass (or two) of red, read and exercise and go out with friends. Looking to start up a lease on a place as I am equiped with nice furniture, a stable income and a very well behaved and housetrained cat/bunny duo. Would love to find people to share a home with, as opposed to just coexisting under the same roof. Hoping to get a 3 bedroom with two others, or even just one person and then filling the third bedroom later (I'd cover the room until it was full). As I have furniture and animals I would lease a place myself if I could, however I would have more luck getting a larger place with a second person and three people sound like a nice little family to me. Happy to have someone on a working holiday staying 6mo or more as the only furniture needed is bedroom stuff. And maybe a microwave and toaster if you have one... :)
On the market for a 4 bed house ideally with a garden and nice open living space where we can relax and entertain. I'm 27 and a doctor while Elliott is 23 yr old IT consultant who works fulltime while studying at RMIT. When not working I enjoy having a few drinks with mates or going to a good techno night. I also enjoy trekking and going on weekend trips when it gets a bit warmer! Elliott is much of the same, minus the techno! He also occasionally fosters dogs, will only do this if we all agree however.
