Hey potential housemates! I'm Isabelle. I'm 25 and am from the Central Coast, NSW. I'm a primary school teacher and have just accepted a position down in Melbourne starting in late January 2019. My boyfriend Ben (also 25) and I are making the move down to Melbourne in the New Year and are looking to move into a place anytime from New Years Day onwards. We are hoping to move into a respectful, fun and somewhat social, existing sharehouse in the one of the Northern Suburbs, preferably either Brunswick, Coburg, Moonee Ponds, Flemington, Essendon, Kensington, Fitzroy, Northcote or North Melb, as these are the shortest commute to work for both of us. Ben is a carpenter and stonemason who restores historic churches and heritage buildings in Sydney and across rural NSW. He's originally from the country, just outside the Blue Mountains, and is currently working as a Rope Access Technician spiderman-ing his way down Sydney's skyscrapers. Neither of us have lived in Melbourne before, and we are both very excited to experience all that the city has to offer! As we both work full time , we're fairly low key during the week. However on weekends we mostly like to go and see live music and a sports game, catch up with friends and family, go out for meals, movies, the occasional weekend away, go camping, indoor rockclimb, and explore the city! Ideally, we would love to move into a place for at least 6 months, sharing with another couple or 2-4 single housemates. We've both lived in various sharehouses before and are both very tidy and respectful/clean in all communal spaces. We are definitely looking to move into a fairly social house where eventually there is more of a living with friends than just housemates kinda vibe! In saying that, we are both also very independent/doing our own thing and appreciate a bit of downtime too. I also promise we are def not the kinda couple that make you feel super third-wheely! We would love to both chat further and pop round to meet you and your housemates and visit the room/place anytime in January! Thanks! :) :) Ben and Izzy
Hey! My name is Tuesdaii. I'm an Adelaide girl moving to Melbourne early next year to study Shoemaking at RMIT in Brunswick. I love yoga, coffee, plants, food & cooking, good conversation and real people. I am in search of a place to call home for the next year or so while I complete my course and work part time - I've lived in share houses for a few years now and would love to find a place that is both relaxed and considerate. I like to think I am a pretty chilled, open and down to earth person. I do my fair share around the house and am always enthusiastic about making houses feel more like home. I am known to come home with a bunch of new plants and to accidentally bake/make excess food to share! I am keen to find some likeminded people to share a home with. Ideally I would love to have a room to come to when I move over at the end of January and would be happy to make a trip to come and see the house and meet the people if it seems like it could be a fit/do a Skype Chat sometime ☺️
This house is beautiful when the sun comes through. Outside is filled with many plants, some edible, with a huge grape vine over head. It is a great place to relax in. We currently have a few vegies going atm too. We also have netflix, split aircon in main area, and a dishwasher. But we dont have a washing machine atm, as ours broke recently. Location: We are on the boarder of Coburg and Brunswick west, on Queens st. 4-5 minute walk to the 58 tram which goes to the CBD, 10-15 minute walk to the Moreland station, 1 minute walk to a bus stop for Ivanhoe line (5 minute ride to Sydney rd). Apparently it is also a good area for biking too, so we been told. About the room; The room is a decent size with a high ceiling and working split aircon, although not nearly as efficient as the kitchen one. There is a large cupboard with 1 panel being a mirror. The room is east facing so you get the morning sun. It also comes unfurnished
Please note: the rent is $150 pp pw for a couple, $300 total. Couples, look no further! This is the place for you! This room has built in robes, a private balcony, own bathroom and own open air study! If you want a place where you can feel like you have your own space and amenities, without the hefty price my place is perfect! My room and bathroom are downstairs so you’ll have tonnes of privacy. I like to cook and hang out in the dining/lounge but my room is also a bit of an oasis for me so we won’t be in each other’s pockets all the time. There’s also a shared balcony off the lounge which gets heaps of sun, as does the shared indoor space. 5 mins walk to the 58 tram, the bus to Sydney Rd goes right past the house or it’s a 20 min walk and it’s half way between Coburg and Strathmore stations giving you access to two train lines.
I'm a very easy going, reliable, responsible, clean, neat and tidy, friendly, outgoing, private, respectful of others space and privacy. I am taking 12months off after returning to melb from 25years in warrnambool & a divorce. I am looking for a long term rental. I have an 11year old fully house trained lap dog, who is the friendliest little dog I ever met! I'm open to sharing with any age group, any race, religion, sexual preference, I'm very open minded. I will spend a lot of my time alone, quietly, and might have some casual work 2days per week. References can be provided if required.
Hi, I'm Terri. I'm 31yrs old, a Primary School teacher and new to Melbourne. Having just returned from 2yrs in the UK, I'm moving to Melbourne for work in the new year. I'm a friendly, thoughtful, clean and respectful flatmate. In my downtime I enjoy, spending time with friends and family, exercising, reading and occasionally binging on Netflix. I'm looking for a comfortable and relaxed home. It would be great if we got along and became friends, but not essential.
Hi, My partner and I are leaving so there is a beautiful double room with en-suite available in our lovely town-house at a perfect location in Brunswick just off Sydney road. The house is very new and clean and comes with everything you'll need to live comfortably and more. The room comes with a queen size bed, built-in wardrobe and plenty of storage space and your own bathroom. It's a 3 bedroom house with 2 bathrooms and 3 toilets. House is fully furnished as well filled with brand new appliances. There's a descent size balcony which is perfect for doing BBQ's (something we'd love to do every now and then). Living in Brunswick and on Sydney road means there are plenty of shops, restaurants and cafes around the corner. In terms of public transport there's a tram stop 1 minute from home and there's a train station 5 minutes from home. And if you're driving there are plenty of on street parking in the area. Rent is $320 a week for single and $360 a week for couples which includes all bills (water, gas, electricity, Internet and Netflix). If you have any more questions or you'd like to come and see the place, feel free to call or msg me. Cheers.

Hi there I'm looking for a place that is within 15km from the city and walking distance to public transport. I'm a clean and tidy person who is considerate, I respect other peoples privacy and expect the same in return, I can be shy at first but eventually opens up to people :-) The type of flatmate I'm looking for is someone who is respectful, considerate, tidy and that includes respecting there flatmate's privacy, and most important is someone that doesn't treat the place as a party house or who uses drugs !
Hi I'm a 20 year old currently working in warehousing/logistics looking to move into a new place around the north/western suburbs of melbourne, I generally keep to myself and value a clean place and hope to move in with someone who is similar.

Favourite areas would be Carlton, Brunswick East, Parkville, Coburg, Abbotsford, Fitzroy and near suburbs. Price max 220-230, depending on the bills. ABOUT YOU: - you have similar interests so we can easily get along and share similar interests. - you shouldn't have pets I will consider all the offers, unfortunately I can't have any inspection till my arrival date. Thanks to anyone! -Sergio-

Katherine and I are friends from Geelong who both work as nurses in the Melbourne area - we are outgoing and friendly people. We respect having alone time, space and love to watch netflix. I (Bridget) love to get outside, go to the gym and walk! Kath loves cooking and could probably quote from any movie you ask of! Move time flexible across January (would both prefer late Jan), boy/girl we don't mind. Pretty keen on a team up - preferably in Essendon, Ascott Vale, Monee Ponds area. Early Bird is rubbish, so if your interested shoot me a DM on Insta @ englandbridget
I am a 27 year old guy who works as a registered nurse. I'm returning to Melbourne after a trip around the Americas. I'm back on the 13th of December. I am looking for a room of my own in a shared house, either with a pre-existing or new lease. I would like a nice home base where I can wind down after a shift. I've spent a lot of time living in sharehouses in Melbourne and know my way around all the fun and games that comes with living with other folks. I like to think I keep things pretty neat and tidy. I can get involved if there's a garden. I like to cook with other housemates every now and again, if you're into that. I respect the space of my housemates but I'm down to hang out and grab a beer. When I'm not working I like to play video games, brew beer, pack the car and go camping or play music.
Hi, I am Ren. My maximum budget is $730 per month including bills (if your house doesn't include bills, it's okay but please keep in mind I can't go over this amount as I am on Newstart). I'm looking for a friendly household with easy access to public transport. I'm social but also quite shy, so I'm happy to do my own thing or hang out with others. I'm going to be studying a Master of Social Work at Monash Caulfield next year. I'm really new to Melbourne, but not new to sharehousing. I lived in Brisbane for nearly 8 years and came here for the weather and a fresh start. In my spare time I enjoy making stuff with yarn, playing video games, or relaxing with Netflix. My favourite shows are BoJack Horseman, Star Trek Next Gen, Star Gate SG1, and the Good Place. I have chronic health conditions, so although I am house trained I would appreciate a house with a more relaxed atmosphere rather than one with a roster. I have asthma, so I need a smoke free home :) Oh, and I'm not vegan or vegetarian, sorry.
It‘s always hard to advertise yourself so I‘ll refer to what friends tend to say about me: funny, organized, compassionate and sociable are probably the adjectives that I heard most often
Move date: 10th January 2018 - max. from end of Dec. I'm a female photographer, a creative person, have a degree in cultural anthropology and now I'm a mature age student of Latrobe University - Bachelor of Nursing aiming to do preventative health promotion rather than traditional nursing. I'm fairly social and active, but craving my own quiet time between, I prefer a chilled home. I love art, I'm conscious of the environment, politics and social justice. I'm fun loving mix of extrovert and introvert qualities. I have traveled extensively and love cultural diversity. I like to cook healthy, maintain a clean environment, I'm out going on the weekends. I don't drink (other than the odd glass of a craftie), but rather socialize out and about, see an exhibition, be in nature, listen to music or go for a boogie with friends. I'm considerate, respect other people's privacy and property. I'm fine with smokers as long as it's outdoor. I like to find a good balance in spending time with my flat mates, have fun, creating a great vibe, and also to let them to be. I'm happy to go with any furnishing arrangements. If needed, I have fridge, washing machine etc. but they also can stay in my storage. I'm flexible with arrangements. I'm looking forward hearing from you. Cheers, Zita
One room (3 by 3 mt) with built in wardrobe and heating / cooling unit available. Rent is 674 dollars per month (but can increase) and bond is 1 month rent. Bills are average, internet is 15 dollars per person, netflix and spotify family optional. Very well linked with public transports, half way between Sydney road (tram 19) and Nicholson street (tram 1), Close to Moreland train station, plenty of cheap restaurants, a Foodworks superstore, bottle shop and everything you need for emergencies at walking distance. There are gym weights in the garage so it is possible having good light weights and body weight gym sessions. (If you have heavy weight you are welcome to bring them in, there is a barbell too.) There are also gyms nearby. We don't watch TV and we don't own one but if you have one to fit the house it's ok. The same is for the rest of the furnitures, have an idea from the pictures, I am open to improve a bit the place accordingly to everyone's needs.
