Hello, I'm Christine, a 24 year old student currently studying full time at Latrobe University. I've just returned from a year living abroad in Japan and am looking for a new place to call home! I'd love to find somewhere long term with friendly housemates. I'm respectful of people's belongings, personal space and privacy and am very clean and tidy. My hobbies include art and video games so I do spend a fair amount of time in my room, as I'm also busy with university work too, but I do enjoy socialising as well and am always up for a good chat. I'm pretty easy going and laid back so I'm sure I'd fit in well with any personalities or house set up. I love animals so I'd be more than happy to share a house with any furry friends too! I'm hoping to find a place ASAP so I hope you will consider me for a future flatmate in your lovely homes.
Hi! I am a 20+ female from Malaysia and have been residing in Australia for many years, currently pursuing a Master degree in Landscape Architecture and will be working and studying in Melbourne starting next year. From my past 6 times of house sharing experience, and several times of sharing rooms at hostels, I have a reputation of being a clean, tidy, and responsible house/roommate. I speak 4 languages, namely English, Mandarin Chinese, Malay and Spanish; and I am an avid traveler. I have just done a big backpack round tour in Europe, had traveled to Japan, and did work and study in China, Ireland and Spain. I consider myself to be an open-minded and mature person, also should be fun to be with as told by my friends. I enjoy cooking and baking, which I don't mind sharing the food with my future flatmates. I am also into arts and design, photography, books, linguistic, culture and history, plants, fitness and DIY. Happy with locations within an hour public transport time distance from city center, within the public transport Zone 1 + 2, even if not listed in my "Preferred locations" section below. Please drop me a message if you think I sound like a friend-to-have / someone who should be living at your flat right now! I don't mind teaming up with like-minded people to rent a property too.
I am a super friendly, tidy, easy going young guy. I'm always happy to have a glass of wine and talk about our days or share a meal but I'm also respectful of personal space and privacies. I'm moving over to Melbourne on the 24th of March for a traineeship in dance. Outside of dance I like, reading, the arts, reducing my carbon footprint and being vegetarian (especially when I get to tell everyone about it). I'm happy to find a house but I'd love to make a home.
I am a working 31 year old female. I am awaiting my transfer information as to exactly what suburb I'll be working in, but I work as an optical dispenser for OPSM. I'm a relatively quiet person, I love to spend my downtime veging on the couch with netflix or a book, or out running around with my dog. He's a rescue who is 6, and I've had him since 12 weeks. He's not a barker, is very obedient and a sook. He'll smooch up for a pat whenever he can, but is more than happy to snooze outside in the sun. He doesn't dig or chew, and can come with references from real estates and previous housemates. I'm a little bit introverted, but I am down for a chat any time. I'm looking for a sort of quiet place, as I am a really light sleeper. I'm always happy to DD though, should the need arise. I’m clean, I’m tidy and I have always received my entire bond back. I’m looking for somewhere quiet and smoke free. I love video games, I love sport, I’m down for Netflix nights and live music whenever I can find it. I currently live on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, but will be relocating to Melbourne early April. Hope to hear from you soon!!
Hi, I'm Saad, I'm 28, and I just got a job with a business consulting firm in Melbourne CBD. I'm moving in from Sydney (last week of Feb). I work full-time, regular hours. I'm an easy going guy and get along with everyone. Not new to flat sharing, shared flats in the UK and Italy while studying there, had a great time. I like to socialise and go out on the weekends and catch up with some friends over dinner. On weekdays, I'm just happy with a good cup of coffee, a good book, nearby gym, and quick WiFi. Oh, and I also love adventure sports!
Hey! I'm a warm, open minded and respectful housemate always up for a good belly laugh, house movie nights, or just chilling on my own in the hammock with a good book. Huge animal lover, so pets are a plus. Vego, but anything but preachy. Musician, but respectful of the quiet hours. Ideally I'd love to find a place with a good garden to help out in, a bath, and I'm hoping for more of a sociable, friendly household; somewhere that's not afraid to go and grab beers together sometimes, while still keeping up a healthy respect for space and privacy too. Not looking for an immediate move, but just testing out the waters, and if the shoe sounds like it fits, let me know!
I’m Kushal, 26, from India, doing masters in Uni Melb. I am a cryptocurrency trader and do freelancing on Bitmex and Bitfinex. I have been staying with housemates for the past 11 years and I know all the nuances there are. I can move in without anyone having much to compromise. I’ve travelled about 8 countries and 5 cities (In India) and stayed at all places so I’m very accustomed to different cultures and backgrounds. I used to be a Banker at Goldman Sachs which was my previous job and I quit to pursue future studies in Melbourne. I like to keep my surroundings clean and cook my own meals and spend time at the gym apart from having a good time with my housemates. Please do let me know if you’d be interested to have me. Thank You, Kushal Shrimankar
A stylish Art Deco house, this is a very warm and welcoming space, lots of exposed wood, plenty of room and comfortable. Also it is a 2 minute walk from the Coles Sussex Road supermarket and other shops like Bunnings and Harvey Norman so shopping is very easy. Some storage is available in the back shed. Sydney road trams, trains and other shops are a ten minute walk away. It is quiet but if you want it, all of Melbourne is around the corner.
Clean, down to earth, relaxed and respectful. I (try!) to live a healthy lifestyle and since i grew up in the outback i love to get out into the green and go bush walking or just watch the clouds float by. I don't own a tv but i do like the occational movie or docco, pretending to play my guitar, having a hearty laugh or just chilling out. I'm studying Osteopathy at RMIT and would love a willing guineapig to practice osteo therapy (not essential of course! ) I have the privilege of sharing this life with a parrot named Jazz. She's house trained (well, ok, sort of), quiet, not screechy in the least, is a total sucker for neck rubs and has no shame in boldy investigating underneath your shirt, where she is also likely to set up camp and have a kip. I'm not on any social media, I'm a bit old fashioned, but can easily provide referees a-plenty should you wish to dig up a bit on me ;)

This is an unusually charming Edwardian wooden house with a flourishing garden in Queen Street Coburg. One bedroom will be free soon! the north-facing bedroom with substantial over-head and built-in storage space, it's a very companionable, secluded room, nicely furnished, in a sweet wooden Edwardian room in Queen Street Coburg. There is a storeroom in the back garden if needed, with a vege-garden and a cubby house. I search for well-grounded Buddhist woman with a respectful orientations towards life, happy in herself and who particularly respect Cats,of character, who greatly value a clean, sweet environment including garden, and is interested to form a home base. I prefer to live with reliable mature women of whatever age. I am a writer/artist/puppeteer who spent much of my adult life in India, for nine years sharing this home with my adopted Indian daughter and her young family. This is a quiet area with various PT options nearby and reliable safe street parking. Rent of $950/month Includes wifi and utility bills. A refundable bond of $800 is required as security. Incidental small household expenses such as toilet paper and cleansers we share on a monthly basis. If you do not wish or don't have time to contribute towards household cleaning and maintenance then an additional fee can be charged for that. I look forward to hearing from you. Apeetha A.
Hey everyone! I’m a responsible, clean, friendly musical type looking for a long term/permanent home for about 1yr+. Available to move in NOW. Read on for details! I'm a 28 year old friendly & housetrained musician, I have a steady income teaching voice, modelling, & working in events. Been renting for 11 years and never had trouble paying rent or bills. I'm super clean & tidy. I sing a lot but I'm apparently pretty good at it. (I don't mind if you sing badly though! No judgement!) I don't drink much but up for a wine now and then (I drink like 2 glasses max so I’ll ask for your help if I buy a bottle of red), I don't smoke (no indoor smoking houses please). I wanna live in a HOME, not just a house... with friendly people who have their own lives and value time alone, but also want to hang out regularly/chat at the end of the day over a meal or wine or tea and share a meal or do stuff together now and then. I'm done with houses where I hardly ever see anyone, time for a housefam vibe! Bonus points if you're musical/artsy, especially if you like funky music, and the decor style is art & houseplants. Super bonus if the house gets good sunlight…! I need somewhere off-street to chain up my little postie motorbike (garden/side path is fine). I come with hardly any furniture (so I'm looking for an already established place), but I do have a (very small, halfsize upright) piano I would love to bring, so hopefully there's a nook for it somewhere? (you are welcome to play it!) If there’s no room for it / already a piano in the house (!) I can put it in my studio, so no biggie. I'll be away for 2 months in either May/June or June/July, so you'd need to be okay with me sub-letting my room during that time (but I am very protective of my home & belongings, so you can bet your booty I'll be choosy about who comes in, and you get a say in it too of course. Usually I'd get someone I know from Tassie.) Hit me up if you think I might be a good match for your home! xox
Hey! I'm Lara. I'm from New Zealand and I've lived in Melbourne for nearly 4 years. I'm easygoing, reliable with rent and bills, and I'm looking for a place in the north-west suburbs. I've been house sitting around Melbourne for the last few years, so am keen to settle down somewhere for at least 6 months. I'm looking for a place where I have my own bathroom. I love music, travelling, theatre and film, reading, and yoga. I'm vegetarian, but it's not a problem for me if you eat meat. I work full time in the city, and I'm often out in the evenings at gigs or with friends. I'm tidy and respectful, and keen to find something soon!
