While looking for work and waiting to study Vet nursing I mostly spend my time volunteering at various animal organisations to further my knowledge. I guess I am a down to earth, open, honest person. I love to laugh, smile, read and sketch.. Im a bit of a geek when it comes to games, although I don't play as much anymore. Creating things is my hobby, whether its a planting something just to watch it grow or a painting some furniture, small or big I am always actively doing something. Im a bit of a klutz and air head at times *forgetful* but very adaptable. I love to see others happy and believe honesty is the best way when living with anyone. I like constructive criticism, to discuss, Im always looking to better myself. I love to get to know any person.. but I would like to live with people that I can maybe collaborate with. I have two cats, Elye and Monk, they are beautiful and pleasant to be around, the least pushy, most visibly appreciative cats. Elye- Showed up on my friends door at 4 weeks old, tiny with huge globes for eyes that he never seemed to grow into. Loves to be spoken to and always knows when you're speaking about him. He is very sociable, loves to snuggle and is still very much a kitten, despite him being 2 years. Monk- Only still a little one, Monkey is full of energy. He has a very strange persona, skittish but brave? The reason his name is Monkey? He makes these little high gurgling noises much like his brother but he hardly ever meows. Everyone falls in love with this duo. Funnily enough even people that don't usually like cats become fond of them, they're just so unique and random. Oh, I have a heap of furniture that is in storage. This huge double door fridge, a 1 door fridge probably suited for outdoors, an 8 seater beautiful oak table, bookshelves, a washing machine and a few other cute bits and bobs. It would be great to get them out but if they aren't needed its no biggie. As I mentioned, I love to get to know people but I also love it when people take the time to know me. Please feel free to send me a message with any questions :)
I'm a Southern Californian native born and raised, have the greenest of thumbs, and the literal definition of a jack of all trades. Ain't nothin I can't do! Got my BA in Radio, TV, and Film, owned my own business for a while before moving to Japan for 4 years to teach English. Spent 3 weeks in oz a few years back, loved it so much I knew I'd be moving there after my contract in Japan was up! I'm currently a bartender and I LOVE it (my one cool trick is pouring rainbow shots, so heeeeey), and I'm on a work and holiday visa for the foreseeable year (get into Melbourne on August 10th). Looking to find someplace to call home and immerse myself into becoming a Melbournite... Melbournian? Melbs local! I'm no stranger to the city, LOVE it. As a Californian, I know all about fire season and droughts, so no worry about being Eco-conscious here! I'm clean, organized, and very self-aware. Not a water waster haha! I highly respect quiet and alone time, but love a few beers and a night out, or sharing a home-cooked meal (I like to bake...I hope you like to eat). My go-go dancing days in Osaka might be behind me but I still know how to have fun, whether in a group dynamic or by myself. If you wanna settle in for a movie night or games and beer then I'm there! I've just learned how to make a mean egg foo young, and my butt has a costco card so heeeeeey ya'll live-in bartender with perks here! :D Full disclosure: I'm coming into the country without a job (only so much you can do online!) but I have more than enough funds for several months to cover the lease, and I plan to hit the ground running and find employment asap! I'm super chill and laid back, tidy and organized (but not sterile), and responsible with the timely payment of bills and rent. Mature responsible person very good at adulting here! -I need a place with internet access -Private, furnished room -Short stay (~3 months) with room to increase stay (I shouldn't sign a longer lease if I can't find employment first, right? :D Hell if you know a place hiring then I'm down to sign a year lease!) I've been around, held all kinds of jobs, have all kinds of hobbies, and love all kinds of people. I'm animal-friendly (4 cats, 2 gerbils, and 2 box turtles here in Cali!) and super easy-going; also open to more places than those general suburbs I've listed, and willing to pay more on rent than I've listed if bills and internet are included, just an FYI. :) If you think we'd mesh well, I'd love to be your housemate! :) Any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to ask! I'm an open book :)
Hi, I have just moved from France to experience Australia. I am an IT professional and actively looking for a job (negotiating currently). I am searching for open-minded housemates who enjoy life. If you want to know more about me I'm happy to share a coffee with you. Cheers Dino

Hiya!! We are a couple in our late 20's moving to Melbourne at the end of September from Auckland, New Zealand. We are looking for a nice room/home to rent when we first arrive. Ideally for the first 1-2 months while we find something permanent but would consider something more long term if it worked out!! We are both pretty chilled, very considerate, super clean and tidy and pay rent and bills on time. We have been to Melbourne a couple of times but are looking forward to really getting to know what Melbourne has to offer!! I (Jamie) will be starting a new job with a company in South Melbourne, working full time Mon-Fri, Thomas is a musician/producer/DJ and has a few things lined up when we first arrive but given his line of work his working hours are flexible. We are looking for more of a home vibe rather than a party flat, respectful of people's own time and privacy but do enjoy a glass of red wine and good chats from time to time!! (and we are both animal lovers if you have a furry addition). During the week we are pretty quiet with work, the gym and chilling at home. In the weekends we love going out for meals, heading to the beach and when we move exploring our new city!! Ideally it would be great to be near public transport so we can find our way around when we first arrive before we buy a car. Any questions just let us know!! Also happy to Skype/facetime to meet before we arrive! Thanks:)
Hi! My name is Jasper, originated from southern China and I just came down here to Melbourne and started my Master program (Food Science) after spending four years college time in the U.S. I’m a very clean, friendly and respectful person as a roommate. I have an academic background of Nutritional Food Sciences and Sustainable Food systems. My interests include reading, cooking, traveling exercising, music, modern arts, and etc. I enjoy my time out with friends and don’t like to bring random strangers back to the house. Overall, I’m a really healthy individual doesn’t have any annoying hobbies. In terms of the type of room and roommate I am looking for, I hope I can find a place where I am able to spend my comfortably and (a) roommates that I can get along with very well. I don’t have a preference of living with guys or girls. But I do expect we can work it out and building a place that’s homey! Please message me if you are interested in renting a place with me or want to offer me a place to stay!
I'm doing a PhD in physics at the University of Melbourne. Australia is a very generous country so they decided to give me a salary/scholarship, which means that I can always pay my rent and bills in time, without having to rob any Woolies. In my spare time I like to do sports (running, swimming, yoga, soccer etc), annoy people around me playing my guitar, read books and travel as much as I can even if that just means going for on an adventure to the nearby pub. This is my 5th year living abroad in shared houses, before coming to Melbourne I lived in Ireland and Canada, so I am an international expert in the art of sharing a house. I value a lot the relationship with my housemates, so I'm looking for a bunch of people I can feel comfortable with, inside and outside the house, sharing dinners, drinks, lazy afternoons and any random moment life brings about. Luckily I also know how to respect others' privacy so I promise I won't follow you inside the bathroom. Living in a clean house is fundamental for me, so I hereby solemnly commit to put my efforts in keeping the place tidy and neat, and cleaning regularly.
I am a 26 year old German master student at the UOM and will be in Melbourne for the next 2 years. Having lived in shared houses around Europe for the last 6 years I know how to keep it clean and organized and most of all have a good time with the other house members :) I really enjoy reading, movies, sports, going out for a drink or food and enjoy the possibility to relax in my room and also chill with the housemates.
Hello, my Name is Dora. I'm 26 years old. I lived in Brighton, U.K for the last 5 years. I'm moving to Melbourne this summer to work as an engineer. I'm a clean and friendly person. I prefer relaxing at home or going to dinner / few drinks with friends instead of partying. I would love to live somewhere cozy and tidy that I can call home.
I am a 30 year old professional who works full time for a Royal Medical College in East Melbourne. When I'm not working I love exploring Melbourne and socialising with my friends and family. Lynsey =^.^=
Just got a job in the big city so am moving up to Melbourne from country Vic! I've lived in share houses before so always clean up after myself and am respectful of my housemates. Chilled out and enjoy a glass of wine after work in the evening :) I'm keen for exploring Melbourne! I love walking, gardening, reading and just chilling out on my days off. Cheers!

Hey there. I'm looking for a room to move in now. I'm an international student from Thailand. I study to be a chef at William Angliss in the city. I'm quite clean and tidy. I cook quite often and enjoy sharing my meals. Have a look on my profile more about myself. Please consider and let me know if i can go inspect the place and then we can have more talk.
Looking for a new place to stay starting around mid-august. About me: French Canadian law student from McGill Uni. I’m responsible, organized, and respectful of people’s space. Having been a counsellor for a while, I don’t shy away from real talks and good connections. I also like to go out and dance from time to time. I have already settled into a social life here, so you don't have to take care of me, while I'm obviously interested in the house life! Oh, and I like biking and volleyball. Kind of household: I am quite sociable and I hope to spend some time with my new roommates. However, I kinda like/need my sleep and privacy, so I don’t think a busy or party house would be the best fit. Animals = sure. People around my age = yas. Quick witted spirits = damn right. Gardening extraordinaires = yes please. Hit me up!
My name is Natalia and I am a Child Psychologist, on a working holiday from Chile, with a friendly and positive disposition. I am currently working as a full time Nanny. I have a passion for keeping myself healthy, doing yoga, dancing, exploring new things, drinking wine, and most importantly keeping great company!
Hey, i am Marie, i am looking for a nice cosy home. I am a pretty laidback and considerate housemate. I enjoy the simplicity of life, good company, yummy home-made food and inspiring conversations. I like to share good times with my housemates, and also like my 'me' time I love yoga, philosocphy and everything related to well-being in general. I enjoy cooking and sharing meals, travelling, music concerts and playing games. I am a non smoker. Always up for a good chat over a drink or a nice meal. I work as a French teacher full time and study massage therapy on the side. Really look forward to finding a space that feels like "home" ...
I'm friendly and socialable. Happy to lend a listening ear in the evening and to take part in house activities, but also keep myself very active so won't be lounging around the house every evening. I'm clean and tidy (but not to an obscene level) and am happy to share chores. I love travelling, comedy, podcasts and sport. I've lived in New York and Ireland and am enjoying getting to know Melbourne. After a lot of time in hostels I'm looking for somewhere to call home for a while!

We are a laid back couple originally from the UK who have been travelling around all of Asia for the past 3/4 months and are hoping to stay in the Melbourne area for 6-9 months to increase our travel funds with our working holiday visa! I was working as a bartender for over a year to start my travel funds. However, I predominantly have a background in Psychology and have recently just got back from working in Sri Lanka for three months running therapy sessions in local psychiatric hospitals, while my boyfriend was a manager of a local bar/pub. We enjoy cooking (we are big foodies!), having a casual drink, scuba diving and travelling (obviously!). We are a clean, friendly and sociable couple but are not party animals by any means and still enjoy our quiet time. We are open minded people who love to learn about new cultures and enjoy making friends from all over the world.
