Hi future housemates! I am Clare. I am seeking a decent sized room to place a queen bed with space for a table/chair/desktop computer which I use for study purposes. I have a houseful of furniture which is going into storage and I will only bring what I need with me. I've had a lease on a large house propery for two years which is ending soon and I am returning to the 'room only' accom option in a share house for the next year or more. I am a Transgender female and have a 'youthful' personality for my age! Although I like to socialise, I am generally quiet at home. Sportswise, I like Bikram Yoga, Badminton and Swimming. I'll be studying a Bachelor of Health Sciences at the University of Canberra next semester. I am okay with the occassional group meal and chatting with other tenants or being independant depending on the vibe in the property. I am a tidy person who cleans up after themselves and is respectful of other tenant's privacy. I can drop-by for an inspection and meeting most days/times, so let me know if you're interested. I'd prefer accommodation that is located in the surrounding suburbs of UC with easy access to public transport routes (ACTION buses). Thanks! PS: I am flexible with move dates around the 5-6th Nov. Either a few days prior or after that weekend is fine by me.
This house really is the perfect share house, you will not feel cramped or infringing on someone's personal space here with: -each bedroom having a locked door with a key for privacy -two bathrooms one my housemate and I share and another (less appointed smaller one) with a toilet and shower in the laundry - second toilet that is stand alone -massive kitchen with gas top that is fully pimped out with -retarded amounts of gadgets for those who love cooking -large dining area -large lounge room -large backyard for those who like gardening -people who smoke outside are welcome, we have a large front deck and a small covered one out back -we have a small garden shed -locked storage under the house that is as large as the entire house The perfect person is someone who has a stable job, pays rent on time and honours their commitments. We like to share work around the house but also relax and drink wine and talk smack. Jaded professionals who work standard hours who worship cats will have an advantage and will thrive living in this environment.
I am moving to Canberra from Perth in the week beginning 7 November 2016, so happy to move in any time from then (flexible as I will be booking short-term accommodation for when I arrive). I am a 21 year old accountant (will be working in the CBD) - I have lived in Perth nearly my whole life. My interests include cooking and swimming, and generally spending time in the outdoors. I am friendly and approachable around the house but am also able to provide my housemates with space (we all need it!) at times. Please let me know if you think I'd be a fit for your house!
5-bedroom townhouse. The bottom floor has my bedroom and study, a communal lounge-room with entertainment system, eat-in kitchen and dining room. Upstairs has a large lounge-room. The bedroom in the photos is available, with large built-ins, a bed and desk. There is also a bathroom with toilet and shower. The downstairs bathroom has a bath if you feel like one. I have a dog. She is very friendly and smart. She is an inside dog, so preferably you love/like dogs, or are at least comfortable with them. Wybalena Grove has a website you can look at. The rent is $170 per week including all bills and WiFi. Bond is 4 weeks rent. If you are interested in applying, we are looking for an individual that wants to share the occasional meal together, doesn't smoke, knows how to clean up after themselves. Additionally, I want to know how you will be able to pay the rent. Are you working permanent, contract or casual? Full-time or part-time. If you're a student, what financial support do you receive? If you're a shift worker, and work nights - anyone coming home after midnight on a regular basis won't work - you will wake the dog, and she will wake the house. Sorry.
I am a 30 years female who are going to live in Canberra for ANU PhD Program in January 2017. It might be we can build Team-Up and start to find a new house. I am looking for easy-going and friendly housemate. I prefer for a neat and tidy friends.
I am a practical guy - have renovated kitchens, bathrooms and know how to fix and repair things. I live on the coast - looking for a Monday-Friday place around Canberra to pay bills. Have a 5 year old Jack Russell x Foxy that travels with me, so a dog friendly place is a must,
I'm an easygoing person who enjoys spending most of my home time quietly. Am more than happy to join in house activities but tend not to party at home. Not much of a cook (can make a great pumpkin pie) but enjoy cleaning. I currently work in Hospitality as a barista and have hours that range from 9am to 11pm. I'm studying at UC doing a Bachelor of Human Nutrition only in first year. I enjoy scifi pop culture, Anime, Historical Drama, politics, and TV shows that make you think. In my down time I like to do crafty things such as beading, sewing and other needle crafts.
Hello, Im Nils, a 23 years old dutch student currently studying at the ANU for my master thesis project. At this moment i live in Macquarie, but we have to move out by the ens of this month. So, im urgently looking for a place to live. I like to make music, read literature and do sports. Im also a social person and easy to get along with. Originally from Melbourne, moved to Canberra working full time in a large company servicing Genotyping Technology which keeps me busy during the week. Enjoy the outdoors; climbing, hiking, skiing etc. Keen to go explore the country, especially the Blue Mountains, so if you're keen then come adventure with me on the weekends. When doing a chore, I like to clean all the mess in an area, and not just mine. So I am looking for a designated and flexible week-by-week roster. Often I am too busy during the week to share meals, so I tend to solo cook after work. But if I do come home early, I always keen to share the experience :) Looking for flat mates my age, i.e. Full time workers who can keen themselves busy. I am curious about people, so I enjoy getting to know people from different backgrounds and ethnicities. I am straight and accept everyone from all walks of life.
Hi My name is Thibault and I am a French student. I have been in canberra for 4 months so far and I am starting a PhD in physics at the ANU in october. I already live in a sharehouse right now but the lease is ending so I need to find a new place. I have been living with flatmates for the last 3 years so I am used to it. I am easy to live with and clean (without being a cleanliness freak). I am often working late during the week, so you may not see me a lot but I like spending some time with my flatmates during the week-end. I don't have pets but I like animals. I don't smoke but I used to, so it's not a problem for me if you do. Finally I am a musician (guitar and drums) and I love jamming session so I would love to move in with other musicians.
I'm desperately looking for a place within the next 2 weeks I'm a gamer, and love to socialize I'd rather a room mate I get along with not someone that just exists I have a car Work Part Time Study at AIE Keep clean Need a furnished room And need internet Contact me ASAP!
I'm currently studying full-time at UC and working two part-time jobs. I have been living in Canberra for nearly a year coming from the Central Coast. I like to be social and chat but also understand the line of wanted privacy. I am clean and willing to pitch in where as needed. I'm quite easy going and enjoy having or good laugh or listening to some good tunes.
Hello! I'm moving to Canberra from Brisbane for 3 months for work. I just finished uni, studying economics. As a housemate, I like to socialise with the occasional wine, but definitely am not a party gal. I don't smoke or have any pets, but I do have a boyfriend who would visit occasionally (he lives in Brisbane, so not that often). I enjoy keeping a clean home so if you do too that would be perfect. As i'm only coming down for a little while i really need the room to be furnished, with a bed at least. Let's chat!
I am quiet, easygoing and thoughtful. I like cooking (sourdough bread, yoghurt, and sauerkraut for example) gardening, reading, natural health, singing, dancing, crafts and much else. I've recently started as a supervisor on an environmental restoration project near Bungendore and this will be my first time to live in Canberra. Before that I was staying on farms in Australia and East Asia for three years learning about natural farming. I would really like to stay somewhere I can get a vegetable patch going.
This property is minutes walk to Jamison Plaza and transport as well as being close to Calvary Hospital, Belconen Markets, Belconnen Mall and UC. Included in the rent is also the cleaning of shared areas of the property. This is a quiet house so ideal for professionals and serious mature students.
A large master room with own toilet and bathroom, kitchen and living room are shared with other roommates, the room is fully furniture with basically everything you need, and all kitchen staffs are provided. It is relatively convenient for transportation and fresh market that merely approximately 200m to bus stop with direct bus going to Canberra city and Westfield bus interchange, also it is provided with outside parking. The rent is 150 per week and bills should be shared with other roommates.
I'm currently still completing year 12, and intend to do further study at UNI. I've been working at a cafe for 3 years and enjoy it very much. I can be a social person, chat about mutual interests and enjoy getting to know people. I also enjoy my alone quiet time as well. I can confidently say I am mature for my age, due to growing up with a single parent and three younger brothers. Also meaning I am no stranger to cleaning up my own mess as well as assisting to keep the household tidy. I'm into reading and watching a few different TV shows, also a huge cat person, so wouldn't mind moving into a house with a cat or any type of animal! I've been in Canberra for majority of my life and intend to stay here. I'm not planning to move out until later in the year however, and just want to extend my feelers out to see what's available. Thanks!

Available from Saturday November 19th 2016, we will have an available room to rent in our sharehouse, which is located in a prime location in Bruce. $230 per week. This covers the rent for the bedroom and all utility costs: UNLIMITED internet, electricity, water and gas! The bedroom is private, and furnished with a king single bed, a student desk, desk chair, and a bedside table. There is also a built-in wardrobe and a window that faces away from the main street. This room is suitable for a single person only, not for couples. The townhouse is single-level, with three-bedrooms, a large living and dining area, and an outdoor patio. The remainder of the house is also furnished, with a fridge, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer and other appliances available to use. This is in the perfect location if you're a student, with UC literally a 5 minute walk away, and regular buses to ANU about 300m walk away. We are also a five-to-ten minute walk from many government and private business offices in Belconnen. The house is located slightly away from the main street, giving a quiet atmosphere. Close to University of Canberra, CISAC, Westfield Shopping Centre, Lake Ginninderra, and heaps more. You'll be living with two other female housemates. One uni student at ANU, and one young professional. We would like to live with someone who is social and enjoys being part of a sort of family while we live together (sometimes chatting, cooking, eating, drinking, going out etc together). But we're also looking for someone who can respect the privacy and quiet-time of others. We are normally up until around midnight, so if you're normally in bed by 7pm, you might not fit in here. Ideally, you'll be friendly, respectful, tidy, female, non-smoker, and aged between 20-30 years of age. The bottom line is that we want to share our home with another cool person who is relaxed, but loves to have fun too! Sorry, no pets :( . Please send me a message if you feel like we would get along! :)
