Hi future housemates! I am Clare. I’m on an early search-and-secure mission to find a new comfy place to live from late January 2017. About Your Place. It must be warm in Winter! (I really feel the cold!) Otherwise I am quite flexible re; house/unit/etc. I would prefer somewhere with nearby access to ACTION buses and within approx 30mins to Uni Canberra (although I am willing to consider most areas ie; Woden). Over the years I have shared with different genders, a variety of age groups, people from other countries and employed/students, so I know the Etiquette of house-sharing arrangements with a diversity of people. I would enjoy the occasional ‘group’ meal, chatting with other tenants or being independent depending on the vibe in the property. What I Will Bring. I am seeking a reasonable sized room to place a full set of queen size bedroom furniture. I will also bring with me general furniture which I am happy for other housemates to use. (If you have a lock-up shed to place unwanted furniture, that would be ok too.) I also have a lot of great quality kitchen appliances too as I like to cook and bake. About Me. I am a Transgender female and have a 'youthful' personality for my age! Although I like to socialise, I am generally quiet at home. I am a tidy person who cleans up after themselves and is respectful of other tenant's privacy. Sports-wise, I like Bikram Yoga, Badminton and Swimming. I'll be studying a Bachelor of Health Sciences at the University of Canberra next year. There is the possibility that I may work fulltime and study part-time if the perfect job falls my way over the next few months. At this stage, I will need to move into a new place from 21st or 28th January. I should be back in Canberra from approx 14th Jan for inspections, etc. Contact me if you have any questions ...
Hey! I'm Soraya - I am looking for an fun share house to move in to at the start of 2017, pretty flexible on time really. I am a social worker. I love to socialise, relax and have a few cheeky drinks. I would like a house where housemates spend time together as well as respecting each others space. I think I am easy to live with because I am quite laid back and easy to get along with! I am clean (but not crazy about it). I have a 3 year old english staffy named Dudley. He is very well trained and loves humans! We are a package deal, so housemates will need to be dog people.
I'm a considerate housemate that keeps mostly to herself but likes to hang out as well. I enjoy baking when I can find the time. I enjoy historical dramas and pop culture sci-fi.
Hey all, I am a pretty going person. Not overly fussed about the noise. I do my fare share of the cleaning and maintenance in the house. Moved to Canberra to study at the ANU. I am working part-time at the ANU as well. Originally an expat kid, grew up in Japan and lived all over Asia/Australia. Currently learning Arabic, but can speak few other languages as well. I love the outdoors, and I go hiking almost every second weekend. I don't mind pets, so that's a non-issue for me. Send me a message if you have place. Cheers
I'm currently studying full-time at UC and working two part-time jobs. I have been living in Canberra for nearly a year coming from the Central Coast. I like to be social and chat but also understand the line of wanted privacy. I am clean and willing to pitch in where as needed. I'm quite easy going and enjoy having or good laugh or listening to some good tunes.
Hi! I am 25, single and looking for somewhere to live in Canberra. I've been renting for the past four years in Canberra but my lease is ending shortly. I work 7am - 4pm, five days a week and when I am at home I enjoy relaxing and unwinding. I am away most weekends with sporting commitments.
I am a 27 year old girl who is social but at the same time likes a little bit of privacy. I am very responsible as a person and helpful as well. I do know how to cook, clean and keep my stuffs tidy. I am coming to the University of Canberra for my further studies early next year.
Quiet, relativity neat and courteous individual looking for a quiet house to rent for extended stay.
I'm a tidy, polite person to live with who loves a good chat. I'm a full-time University of Canberra Media Student from Brazil who enjoys video games, going shopping, watching movies, and TV shows (I love Game of Thrones), and making media, but also like some quiet time while I'm studying. I'm not much of a drinker, but I would have a few wines and go out occasionally, mostly when I'm not busy. I would prefer a place that is clean, respectful, and not a party house. I would like to live with people who are down to Earth, mature, clean their dishes, and pay their rent on time. I usually cook for myself, but don't mind a dinner get together.
Hello! I am moving to Canberra to start work with the Australian public service. I have previously worked for a children's charity and before that I studied history at university. My mum is Australian but I have always lived in the UK so it is a really exciting change for me! I'm looking forward to exploring the city. I enjoy cooking, sports, going to galleries, and watching films. I'm looking for a friendly house that I can use as a base to get to know Canberra. I don't smoke, like to keep my room tidy, and would enjoy living in a relaxed and friendly house.

From Katoomba, NSW originally, moving to Canberra to study at the University of Canberra (Bruce campus) in 2017. I like listening to music, and playing the guitar, and reading.

It is a nice and spacious house, close to Belconnen Mall, Belco Markets, Jamison Shops, and the Uni of Canberra. The house has 2 cooking stoves areas, 1 gas, and 1 electric. The house has central heating and also ducted cooling, so in hot weather, the house stays nice and cool. The bedroom for rent is small with limited wardrobe space, however this is about to change. The number 40 bus is the nearest one to get to ANU, although the walk to Belco Mall is 20 mins for more buses. We like the house to be kept clean, so a roster is set up for cleaning. It is essential that the future flatmate is clean and respects the privacy of the other people in the house.

I'm from Sydney but I'm moving to Canberra in 2017 to start postgrad study at ANU - I'm flexible with my moving date. I'm a mature individual, and I keep everything (but my sock drawer) tidy. I'm easy to get along with and I'm always up for a chat/being social, but am happy to keep to myself in the house if that's the go. I love sports, particularly netball, and am looking to get involved in a new club/team once I move. I'm a music fan (the non-snobby kind), and love to attend big concerts as well as local gigs. I'm open to different locations, though as a Sydneysider who has spent her life traveling and commuting to everything - I'd love to take advantage of the size of Canberra and live somewhere central.
I am moving to Canberra in late January/early February from Melbourne to commence an APS graduate program on the 6th February. I am looking to move into a share house with other people in their mid 20s. As I am new to Canberra it would be great to live with people I get on with socially as well and don't just keep to themselves. It would be bonus if the people I live with enjoy/tolerate my dad jokes and dry sense of humour. I would like a house that is kept clean in common areas, but I would say I am fairly easy going and I'm not going to yell at you if you haven't got around to doing the dishes yet (as long as you are going do them eventually) or your room isn't spotless. I certainly do not mind a party (preferably at someone else's house) or just a casual sunday drink, but it's sometimes also great to spend a Saturday night chilling on the couch and watching a movie. I would love to cook and share a meal with my housemates once in a while as well. I don't really have many hobbies, I love true crime podcasts and watching tv shows, going for walks and going to the gym. I've been studying for 5 years so maybe I will find some new hobbies now I am free haha. I would like to live in the inner/suburban north but I am open to other areas as long as it isn't too far by bus/car to work in the (north side) city centre. I am hoping to pay $200 a week (or less), but again I am open to up to $250 if the place and people are right. I would also prefer to live in a house/townhouse as opposed to an apartment, as I'd prefer having an outdoor area (even if it is small). Please feel free to message me to ask me anything :)

From Sunday 19th February 2017 we will have an available room to rent in our sharehouse, which is located in a prime location in Bruce. Short term rental until Mid May 2017 (three months) $220 per week. This covers the rent for the bedroom and all utility costs: UNLIMITED internet, electricity, water and gas! The bedroom is private, and furnished with a single bed, bedside table, and small desk. There is also a built-in wardrobe and a window that faces away from the main street. This room is suitable for a single person only, not for couples. The townhouse is single-level, with three-bedrooms, a large living and dining area, and an outdoor patio. The remainder of the house is also furnished, with a fridge, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer and other appliances available to use. This is in the perfect location if you're a student, with UC literally a 5 minute walk away, and regular buses to ANU about 300m walk away. We are also a five-to-ten minute walk from many government and private business offices in Belconnen. The house is located slightly away from the main street, giving a quiet atmosphere. Close to University of Canberra, CISAC, Westfield Shopping Centre, Lake Ginninderra, and heaps more. You'll be living with two other female housemates, both uni students at ANU in our early 20's. We would like to live with someone who is social and enjoys being part of a sort of family while we live together (sometimes chatting, cooking, eating, drinking, going out etc together). But we're also looking for someone who can respect the privacy and quiet-time of others. We are normally up until around midnight, so if you're normally in bed by 7pm, you might not fit in here. Ideally, you'll be friendly, respectful, tidy, female, non-smoker, and aged between 20-30 years of age. The bottom line is that we want to share our home with another cool person who is relaxed, but loves to have fun too! Sorry, no pets :( . Please send me a message if you feel like we would get along! :)
I'm a bubbly and friendly person who is easy to get along with. I keep to myself usually and work Monday to Friday as well as spending time with my friends so, I don't spend a huge amount of time at home. If we make friends though, I would be happy to cook dinner for everyone occasionally and have a drink or two together. I'm clean, tidy and respectful. I'm well organised and am able to work in with the needs of others (eg. Bathroom schedules etc, if required). I'm moving into a share house to save myself some money, as I have been living by myself for a while now. I aim to save and travel or buy my own place. Please note - although I am a smoker, it's generally a social occurrence. Im respectful of others wishes, I don't smoke inside and will only smoke outside the house on occasion if it is okay with others. If not, I can easily go without. It isn't a deal breaker for me.
Hey there! I'm Fateh and I'm a student at ANU. I have another semester of uni left, and am looking for accommodation between February and July of 2017, which is when I graduate, although I may need to extend my lease for a few months. I'm originally from India, and have been in Australia since 2014. I enjoy good music and good company. I like going to the gym and have loved sports since forever. I'm easy to get along with and have a decent sense of humour (I think). If you play any instruments we'll get along nicely! I'm looking for shared accommodation close to the city and if you are too, feel free to give me a shout!
