    Kim

    $325/week34 year old non-binary

[I'm flexible on move in date and length of stay - I'm not flexible on location] Hi! I'm Kim, a 34-year-old queer Irishman (with PR) who has been living in Melbourne for about 6 years. I have worked as a public servant in the VPS for many years, most recently as a Senior Policy Advisor in the reform space at the Department of Education. I work 9-5 and I'm a bit of an early bird, so I wake before 7am (though I keep very quiet) and am usually in bed by 10pm. I'm a friendly and conscientious person who always tries to be mindful of others. Respect is extremely important to me, which includes not just keeping communal areas clean but also being mindful of noise for both flatmates and neighbours. I'm in the process of getting out of a damaging 6-yr marriage, so I'm keen to find a new place as soon as possible, for the sake of my own well-being. Apologies if this is a bit of an overshare, but I'm a bit believer in openness and transparency. I used to be a social butterfly (before the last few years) so I do love the company of people and would love to have a housemate that enjoys casual catch ups on our respective days and occasionally watching shows or playing boardgames together (though it's not a dealbreaker for me if you're keen on this). Otherwise, I'm likely to be either in my room reading or writing, or out meeting friends or taking a dance class. I am the co-parent of a beautiful 2.5-year-old blue staffy named Mac, who would ideally be able to stay with us part-time (as he will predominantly stay with my ex-husband). Mac is very well trained (including crate trained) and doesn't chew on furniture or anything like that. He was very well socialised as a puppy, so he is super friendly with both humans and other dogs. I have some bedroom furniture (bed, desk, etc) so I can make furnished or unfurnished rooms work. Please feel free to ask me anything you want to know!

    Rachelle

    $350/week28 year old woman

Hello, I'm Rachelle (f28) from the Netherlands. I've been in Australia for a year now on a whv and I'm looking for a new share house as my current one just isn't a good match. What I'm like as a housemate: I'm overall pretty quiet and keep to myself, but also like to chat. However I'm not much of a talker in the morning or after work, and like to just eat and relax when I get home. I'm more chatty on my days off. I'll be starting my new job in september as a tomato picker, and leave for work quite early, so I'm in bed early. I like to keep things clean and tidy in the common areas.🧹 A quirck I have is that I don't like sharing the kitchen while I'm cooking🍳, I don't take hours but if you could just give me space while I cook, that'd be great. I like to mealprep for the days that I work, so I won't have to cook those nights. Will try to do this when your not home, so I don't hog the kitchen for hours. I'm not into sharing meals, but happy to get take out sometimes if we want to eat together.🍟 I like to go on walks on the beach, daytrips, going out for drinks, events, festivals and catching up with friends. Looking for a considerate and clean housemate who sometimes likes to watch tv together 📺, or go out for a drink, but this is not a dealbreaker. Looking for a sharehouse with similar values: - Respect eachothers privacy and space - NO KIDS!!! (don't care part/full time/age I'm not interested in living with kids) - Give a heads up when you have people over. NO UNACCOMPANIED GUESTS in the house!!!, and staying over no more than 1 night in a row. I don't want to wonder if we're being robbed or your just having a friend over. - Clean up after yourself - Quiet hours (set together) ⏰ (We all need sleep) (I leave for work really early) - Cleaning schedule 🧽 (common areas, once a week) - NO smoking If you think this is a match or have any questions please send me a message 😊
