My lovely apartment is very easy to access, in a small block of 12. The neighbours are very quiet, and there is always plenty of parking around. It's about 5 minutes on the bus to Ashfield station, and from there, 10 minutes into the city, 10 minutes to Newtown. Burwood Westfield and Strathfield are also very close by and easy to get to. The room would also be great for anyone studying at ACU, as it is very closely located, or anyone studying at USYD or UTS, which are really easy to get to on the train. My apartment is fully furnished already, so you only need to bring your bedroom furniture, and I can assist you with looking for things if needed. You are: reliable, treat where you live as a proper home and with respect, keep common areas tidy, and don't want to live in a party house. If you have a car this is the place for you! There is an off street car port that is all yours!! I don't own a car so there's no need to worry that the spot will be taken while your out! Buses to Burwood and Ashfield are a short walk around the corner. And the IGA and local cafes and restaurants are a short walk away. Parks and the Cooks River are also a short stroll down the hill. It is a 5 minute ride by bicycle to Croydon station and 10 mins to Campsie and Canterbury. I love this place because it's light, bright and airy! The lounge room gets plenty of sun because the place is split a split level there is plenty of space for two people to be comfortable. Right, on to the other stuff about me: Currently studying - Diploma of Costume at Ultimo TAFE, i'm creative and fairly social, happy to have a glass of wine or a G&T and a chat, yet i definitely like my own downtime, and am happy in my own company. Not a big tv watcher so there'll never be a tussle over the remote! (although if you've a good movie up your sleeve, happy to keep you company!) I pretty much like all types of music except country and western but don't make a habit of turning the volume up, preferring to read a good book (SciFi is my go to - i have Asimov books i have been lugging around with me for the last 20 odd years, to get rid of them would be tantamount to sacrilege!) or do a spot of painting/sewing/other creative stuff. I'm a clean up after myself as i go in the kitchen and tend to keep my stuff out of common areas (unless you like books, then i'm happy to add to the bookcase!). Easy going, open minded and like a good laugh. Ideally a room with either a mostly north west or west aspect is what i'm after, for the light - it's all about the light! Even a mostly north with bit of east will make me happy, as long as there's loads of light for my artistic pursuits. High ceilings would be great but not a "must have", prefer an unfurnished room but i can also work with furnished. If you like to have the odd impromptu party - not crazy kinda party (although i DO love a good costume party!), more the dinner party kinda thing, or mates over, that's fine by me - i may join in, invite a friend or two of my own along, or leave you all to it, either way, i have no problem with that sort of stuff if that's what you like to do. I don't have a pet, but if you have one that'd be awesome! Dog/Cat cuddles are the best! Still figuring out what my superpower is.
I'm originally from Canada but have been calling Australia home for the last 2.5 years whilst studying a Masters degree at UQ in Brisbane.
