Hi, I'm Isabella, a 23 year old student from Germany working on my degree in psychology. I'll be studying at Monash (Caulfield) for a semester as an exchange student starting in February :) I'll be staying until mid July, so I'm looking for a place to stay at for about 6 months, but I can be a bit flexible . A bit about me: I love art (museums, exhibitions, doing some of my own, you name it), music, reading, exploring and being outdoors. I'd describe myself as chatty, very open-minded and easy-going. I've been sharing an apartment for 2,5 years now and it's always been great getting to know new people, maybe going out together for a drink sometime or doing other activities together. I've spent some time living in different countries and it's always been a great experience so far. If you're looking for a friendly, down-to-earth and fun roomie, I'd love to hear from you! Isabella :)
Amanda: 28, loves blankets and Netflix. Jem: 27, loves ice cream cake and the beach. Bonnie: 6, blonde, loves treats and pats. Is a dog. We've been friends for years and housemates since July 2015, but our lease is up and we want a bigger/nicer place, hopefully in the beach-adjacent area. Jem also comes with a huge 60" smart TV and golden retriever. Amanda comes with the sunny optimism of a golden retriever. Both fully employed, clean, and good conversationalists. Non-smokers. Good DVD collection.
Hello! I am a nursing student and usually work in health/cosmetic medicine or temp in offices (until degree is finished). I am making the move from Syd where I have held a lease for years and had my mix of good and bad flatmates. I don't really want the hassle of managing a house and flatmates on my own anymore. I have a house full of cool antique and vintage furniture in storage which can come with me or stay there. I am a good person to live with. I take quick showers, bathroom is tidy after I use it. If I cook I wash and dry same night, wipe down and no food in sink! I empty bins, tidy as I go etc. I keep to myself but can be chatty if you feel like it. I have a very good sense of humour. I come with two quiet dogs. I don't have people over or make noise. All my flatmates have loved my dogs. They would need a corner in a living room for their day beds or a really large bedroom so they could have beds in there. Believe me they sleep a lot. One is a greyhound and one is a mix. No barking, very good in the house. May raid bins if given access, so they have to be supervised if kitchen is open or bins on floor. Never any accidents in house. They don't smell doggy as regularly cleaned. A covered area in back yard or access to a garage would be needed for when I am at work so they can be dry and warm. I am extremely responsible and hard working so all bills and rent are paid on time every time and my dogs have the best of care and no responsibility is on anyone else in house to care for them. I have lived with 19 year olds up to mid 50's. I do Taekwondo and weights. My two best friends live in Yarraville. I love being busy and in my downtime I watch good drama or home Reno shows :) I like to eat out as well. I have been known to down G&T's or champagne and come home drunk once in a while after dancing all night, but that is rare these days, I lean to the left in my politics and would probably like a house that recycles etc..
I CAN SEND YOU VIDEO OF THE HOUSE. *About the Room and the House* The room comes furnished with two nice, bouncy and comfy single beds that I like to join together to make one huge bed better than having a Queen or King size double. It also comes with two short book cabinets, a small heater, a pile of throw blankets, massive closet with neat drawers. A mixture of the warm lighting from the ceiling and pinkish lavender wall puts out a romantic vibe to the room. Separate toilet and bathroom is shared with the kindest housemate you can ask for, as well as a kitchen equipped with oven, microwave, dish-washing machine and fridge. The house has a welcoming vibe to it. Please don't mind the many pictures glue tacked on to the walls and the disco mirror ball, we like to think we are artsy and fun. Add your color to the mix, and we'll appreciate you for that! I think aside from the spacious living and dining area, the most alluring feature of this home is the illusion of retired living you can experience with the back porch. We live for the brunches, lunches, dinners and coffees just sitting out at the back reminiscing the youthful past we are actually still living in. Blessed by trees and really good ventilation, the house keeps itself cool under the summer sun. The granny neighbor once complained how she got cold from staying indoors, and just sat out at the porch for warmth. *About the Area* Elsternwick is only the best suburb in the South East for a young hopeful. Why do I think it's the best? Coz it lovingly surrounds you with all that you need to create a blissful, creative, relaxing and supportive backdrop to the busy rush of your modern living. Nothing too much here, and nothing less. It's just enough as it is. Some killer brownie points for the area: - 10 minute lazy walk to the massive Elsternwick dog park. We abuse this local hotspot for its healing attribute involving lots and lots of puppies. It won't hurt to wish for a cute meet to happen here. - 20 minute jog to Elwood Beach behind the dog park. Getting close with voluminous container of water somehow help wash away sorrow. Deep pier thoughts with freezing breeze blasted to your face from the shore is a wake-up call to live life better. Brighton Beach is a 10 minute drive. - 4 minute sprint to Elsternwick station, tram stop, and bus stops. I love the location of this flat. 30-40 mins of tramming to CBD with Melbourne University as the end stop, or go quick for 20 minutes on the train. - 5 minute walk to the strip of Tudor-style shops comprised of delis, cafes, restaurants, coffee shops, froyo, Coles, Officeworks, pharmacists, yoga trainings and fitness centers, bottle shops, fruit and veggies, butcher, and lots of lots of bagels. You don't need to drive anywhere else for your basic necessities. The area boasts a colorful range of cuisines; Vietnamese, Mexican, Thai, Hungarian, Polish, Chinese, Israeli, Japanese, Greek, Italian, Korean, Middle Eastern are the ones I can remember on top of my head. There is also a classic beloved ice cream parlor, and lots of health food stores and cafes. Classic Theatre one of the earliest theaters in Melbourne is across the station, and still hasn't lost its charm. The fascinating Jewish culture of Elsternwick's early settlers can be experienced with the Holocaust museum just across the street. - 5 minute walk to the strip of crazy fashionable bargains you get from Elsternwick's famed op shops. Have you seen how many they are? I can spend the whole Saturday just flicking through the stuffs on sale, imagining the lives those items have touched. Just don't get caught up by the cheap prices. Only purchase what's necessary for you. ;p - the area is youthful with the mushrooming of new hip cafes and restaurants and the swarm of young adults moving here, but it's amazing how the Jewish culture and the many respectable elderlies and young families juxtapose this phenomenon and balanced it all out. *About the Housemate* Lachlan is a twenty-something, freelancing game graphic illustrator who spends most of his time working from home or studio. You are in for a real treat living with him for his ample supply of non-PC jokes, consoling herbal teas and chocolates to help you through the rough patches in life and to celebrate life itself. I learned to have better work ethics and morals sharing space with him. We'd love to welcome someone who is light hearted and open yet appreciates privacy, peace and respect, and is relaxed about house cleaning. Clean up what you see needs to be cleaned or forego it to another time if you are too busy. We are not one to kill each other over trivial matters. Growing pains of living in your twenties is enough to handle already, so loving and supportive housemate is most welcomed to this home.
I'm a PhD student at University of Melbourne. I am from Colombia and have spent my last five years living in different places abroad, the last two living here in Australia. I'm really laid back, easy to talk with. I'm tidy and clean or at least try to keep things like that. I want flatmates to socialise with but also keep each other privacy. During my free time, I like to watch TV/movies, explore the city, go out with friends, try restaurants.
Heya my names Glennys I'm 21 and I work full time in Fashion Design. Im looking for a nice little Bayside home preferably to share with girls of similar age. Im fun, friendly and socialable but do also like my own time. And im looking to move out as soon as possible xx
Hey guys and gals, I'm just putting my feelers out there. I'm looking to move out late Jan/early Feb. I'm fairly flexible moving in later though, but would really like to be settled by mid Feb. A little about me: I work at two jobs one in Out of School Hours care and the other as a nanny. I also do the odd babysitting job here and there and I'm due to finish up my undergrad Psych degree in June. I'm laid back, reliable, bubbly and warm. I come house trained and would like to move in with others who have a bit of house training... or common sense but I'm not picky. I like music, Netflix, masterchef, the beach, a chin wag, hanging out with my mates and enjoying a glass of champers every now and then. One of the major things I'm looking for in a housemate/s is compatibility and people I can become mates not just people I live with. Would love to share a meal and a chat at the end of the day but understand everyone needs their alone time. Now comes the tricky part: I would really love to catch up with you my potential housemates before things get to far along but I'm going to Fiji between 5/1-24/1 so ideally we'd catch up over the next few weeks. If I sound like the type of person you'd like to live with shoot me a message. P.s I come fully stocked with everything you'd need in a house except couch, dining table and chairs.
I am a Student in Monash Uni, Masters in Business Information Systems. Quite chill on all aspects of life. To each their own. Like to travel, explore, party occasionally, 420 is da bomb. Also quite involved in technology, working on a start-up right now. Looking for a nice and easy going atmosphere.
Hi there, this is David. I'm a graphic designer and artist from Bogota, Colombia. I'm looking for a nice place to live with happy and easy going people. At the moment I'm studying and working part time. Im really chill guy, pretty much into art, design, cultural activities, sport and cool parties.
I'm quiet and clean, I love keeping gardens and reading in them. Otherwise i like playing around with new recipes in the kitchen. I do odd jobs for a living to bring in money but have centrelink to fall back on when its not the season for work.
I work part-time and am also a part-time student at Monash. I enjoy keeping fit and healthy. I play a bit of social netball and am currently enjoying F45 as well. I’m not a crazy neat freak, but I do like to keep the house neat and tidy. I'm not a party-animal either, but I do love socialising at bars, and I'm a big fan of brunch, because breakfast food is the best food...

LOOKING TO MOVE BY ASAP. but i can take as long as i want, as person i'm living with is a friend of mine.
My girlfriend and I are recently moved to Melbourne and looking for a room in a friendly house share. Both Irish, friendly and outgoing couple. Susan is very creative and works as a graphic designer while I work in Motorsport and currently reintroducing a Formula 5000 race series to Australia which keeps me busy during the week. Weekends we like to get out and about and sometimes head beyond the city. Currently staying with my boss down the coast but both keen to move closer to the city.
Hi. I am a quiet living, friendly, retired lady who likes attractive surroundings. I am very clean, enjoy walking, gardening, visits to the Arts Precinct, reading, sleeping, movies and occupy myself a lot with writing memoirs and designing books. I eat very simply, stir fries and salads are favourites. My background was legal and also cultural activities which makes me quite diversified in my interests. I was born at Byron Bay, NSW and that makes me a water/nature lover.
Hi guys, I'm Phil, obviously looking for a place to live/share. I'm living in a share house in aspendale at the moment but am looking to move a little closer to the city to get closer to work (if possible). I'm really easy going, play a lot of sport, environmental scientist "by trade" and am currently working as a project supervisor in the contaminated land industry. During the week (after work hours) I'm usually at footy training or trying to stay fit in one way or another, which means half the time im home late and straight into bed. i'm a non-smoker and don't drink during the week generally, but enjoy a social drink on the weekends. Looking at medium to longterm place to stay, but pretty flexible either way. i'm a very friendly, respectful and tidy person (can't live without a dishwasher though!). I've travelled a lot so I've learned to get along with people from all walks of life, I think travelling gives you a better perspective on life and people in general anyway. Next trip is Japan in Jan if you're keen? ;) Potentially could have joint custody of a cat (ie. 1 month on 1 month off - its a long story), but if you don't like or can't have pets I wouldn't bring him - he's equally happy being where he is atm full time too.
Hello Melbourne! I have recently moved (from Brisbane) for work and I am looking for a place to make a home. I'm in my twenties, love staying in with a glass of wine and good company equally as much as I love weekend adventures. I'm tidy and mature and can clean up after myself. I work in marketing. I have no furniture to bring but happy to furnish my own room. I do require a place with space to park a car. My boyfriend lives in Bendigo so I am also looking for roommates who don't mind him being over on the weekends (dw we're super considerate!). Looking for a home with great people! It's a plus if you have a puppy 🐶 I had to leave my little shihtzu in QLD. I'm open to any location 15-20 minutes from the CBD. Feel free to send me a message.
I'll be starting a new job as a nurse in early February next year working part-time (4 days a week). I'm looking for an unfurnished room from the end of January for 12 months. A little bit about me ... I'm friendly, easy-going and sociable. I like to keep my space clean and tidy. I enjoy traveling and spending time outdoors. When I'm not studying or working I enjoy socialising with friends and being out and about, but I also like a bit of downtime at home. I'd love to find housemates with similar values and interests.
I'm an easy going, friendly dude. I am clean and tidy and always like to make sure people are comfortable living with me. I am a pretty social dude, so I won't constantly be holed up in my room if you enjoy my company. I work hospitality 6 days a week and like to be doing things most of the time though, so I won't always be around the house.
I'm a pretty relaxed 20 y/o guy looking for people happy to be friends with housemates. I'm working 2 jobs part time until I start an electrician pre-apprenticeship in April, and when I'm not I'm usually out with friends as much as possible so you'll have the place to yourself! I have a super friendly 4-year-old Australian Terrier (who somehow makes everyone love him) so a place with some kind of outside space is definitely needed. The lease on my current place runs out in Jan so I'm not going anywhere til then :P

Anna and I are two British girls looking for a place to stay in for the next 6+ months. We are searching for a private room each (over that hostel vibe) that would ideally be furnished. We are a friendly and respectful pair that are up for socialising with housemates but can also respect other people's privacy :) we know how to tidy after ourselves and partake in general household chores.

In my spare time, I love to explore and walk through new places, swim, spend time with friends and check out live music gigs :) Over the last few years I have spent quite a bit of time travelling, so I understand how to live with people. Hi I work full-time in a stable professional job and am currently studying part-time (marketing). I'm an easy going, social, respectful and tidy person, looking for similar in a housemate. I have a fairly active lifestyle and am out of the house a fair bit. During the week, with work, gym and socialising with friends, and then on weekends out studying at the library or again having fun with friends. A bit about me personally: love to stay fit (gym, running, swimming), travel (anywhere really), often like to plan weekends away, a bit of a foodie (though not the best cook) and always up for a good time. Currently living out in Mornington but looking to move closer to the CBD towards the end of Jan. Open to moving into an existing share house or teaming up to find a new place together.

Hello guys, we are looking for a nice room to stay my boyfriend and me. We both are passionate travelers and in Australia since almost a year and would like to stay for the rest(2-3 months) of our time here in Melbourne. We both are working full-time so we wound be at home to much. If you are looking for friendly, responsible and nice people that treat your home with respect then we are the right ones :-) We are not home-party people but like to have fun maybe by a dinner all together or 1-2 drinks any day. The most important thing that we are looking for is that the place has to be near a tram or train station. I hope this gave some information about us and please call me if you have any other questions Best regards Liron & Pascale
