I'm a doctor working at St Vincent's (from Feb) but mostly office hours with the occasional weekend on call and VERY occasional evening or night shift. I'm British but have permanent residency in Australia and looking to get my citizenship when I can (2019!). I tend to listen to music (everything bar RnB/hip hop & drum 'n' bass) more than watch TV & I have decks at home for pretending to be a DJ, but wouldn't use them while you're home. When I do watch TV, it's the news, politics and docos on the ABC or SBS or on-semand stuff from Stan. Happy to also sit and watch a film together with a bottle of wine in the evening. I like to cook and would be happy to share meals, although I'm veggie so equally happy to do my own thing. I also love to entertain, either dinner or a bigger group for drinks. If you wanted to have a houseparty I could be convinced, but only for special occasions! I like to have the odd big night out, although this tends to just be on the long weekends and generally on the scene, although I am trying to find what else gay Sydney has to offer (recommendations welcome!) I'm looking to get a house rather than an apartment and I will be getting a dog so please don't waste your time if that's a no-go for you!
We're an easy going, respectful couple from NZ. We're clean, courteous and aware of other people's thoughts and feelings. I work as an Account Manager at a Marketing Technology company. Meredith works in Architectural design and 3d Modelling. We love to go out to dinner or stay in and cook over a few drinks. We're partial to the odd sporting event or music festival. In saying that we love to stay fit and are quite career focused.
Hi, I'm looking for a furnished private room in Redfern and surroundings (Waterloo, Zetland, Eveleigh, eastern Alexandria, northern Rosebery...). $320/week MAX, all bills included. Spacious, bright, clean and tidy place, with friendly, sociable and respecful flatmate(s). I'm a clean, easy going, independent and respecful French guy who enjoys socialising, sharing a meal or a drink from time to time, visiting or going out with friends during weekends... Like to be kept busy! I'm working full-time in Waterloo/Zetland (normal business hours). Cheers!
My name is Djuna and I am an Australian PhD student moving to Sydney from Perth. I am super dependable and considerate, but sociable as well and am looking for flatmates who don't mind a chat. I will be doing my PhD at USyd and working, and between my hobbies of dancing, drawing and various forms of exercise I am hoping to lead a busy lifestyle! I love to cook and spend a lot of time being creative. As much as I love to hang out with my friends I also like home to be a peaceful place where I can relax and have my own space :) I am looking to relocate to Sydney towards the end of January but am reasonably flexible!
Friendly, clean, I like exploring and meeting people, good at giving people space and privacy. Medical school, working part time that involves travel.
I'm a full-time post graduate student at USyd who also works part time around uni, which keeps me really busy. I've lived in share houses in Sydney and the UK so am well house trained, and am looking for housemates who are ideally working full-time, equally busy and a house that can become a home. I'm friendly, social and would love to be able to have a laugh and share a drink and chill out with flatmates from time to time - but understand everyones need for privacy.
Large bedroom available in this spacious modern open plan 4-level townhouse in Eveleigh (between Erskineville and Redfern) for $350 per room per week. All rooms have built in wardrobes and balconies and there's a bathroom on each level. The kitchen, laundry and bathrooms are modern, fully equipped and clean, and the outdoor courtyard is ideal for BBQs. The area is super convenient, right next to Channel 7 and The Technology Park (ATP), 5 mins walk to Redfern or Erko train stations, plenty of cafes/restaurants and gems like The Carriageworks and The Grounds. Newtown is 10mins, Surry Hills 12mins, Sydney University, UTS, The Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and the City are all 20mins walk away. Getting to the beach on the weekend is a 25min bike ride away, we're surrounded by parks with tennis courts and other facilities and there's always plenty of parking nearby if you have a car. The rooms are suitable for respectful, single and social individuals in their 30s to make the house a home. What's good about this place: - great location! - bathrooms on each floor, so you'll only share a bathroom with one other person - modern open plan kitchen/dining with new gas appliances and instant hot water - each room has a built-in wardrobe and balcony - outdoor courtyard with BBQ - massive rooms with reverse cycle ducted air-conditioning - fastest internet connection available in Australia.
Hi, I'm Nicola. creative and fairly social, happy to have a glass of wine and a chat, yet i definitely like my own downtime, and am happy in my own company. Not a big tv watcher so there'll never be a tussle over the remote! (although if you've a good movie up your sleeve, happy to keep you company!) I pretty much like all types of music except country and western but don't make a habit of turning the volume up, preferring to read a good book or do a spot of painting/sewing/other creative stuff. I'm a clean up after myself as i go, in the kitchen and tend to keep my stuff out of common areas (unless you like books, then i'm happy to add to the bookcase!). Easy going and like a good laugh. Ideally a room with either a mostly north west or west aspect is what i'm after, for the light - it's all about the light! Even a mostly north with bit of east will make me happy, as long as there's loads of light for my artistic pursuits. High ceilings would be great but not a "must have", prefer an unfurnished room but i can also work with furnished. If you like to have the odd impromptu party - not crazy kinda party, more the dinner party kinda thing, or mates over, that's fine by me - i may join in, invite a friend or two of my own along, or leave you all to it, either way, i have no problem with that sort of stuff if that's what you like to do. I don't have a pet, but if you have one that'd be awesome! Dog/cast cuddles are the best!
Hi everyone, I'm Tom. 28 year old moving back to Sydney after sometime interstate. I work as a full time doctor so spend a fair amount of the day / night out and about. A spacious, 3 bedroom apartment is what city living is all about, with a free flowing interior. The living and dining room offers a versatile layout, with timber floors which open onto balcony with glorious district and parkland outlook. This apartment is all about lifestyle - walk to renown cafes in the area, or head over to Danks St for a myriad of shops and eateries. Sydney CBD, Surry Hills and Eastern Beaches are all within a short distance. Transport a breeze with buses nearby and both Erskineville and Redfern stations only moments away. There are some amazing cafes and bars walking distance.
LGBT couple, originally from New York. We're here getting our Master's degrees at Uni Sydney as well as working. Kiana works at ADCO and Maeve works at the horse stables at Centennial Park. We've been in Australia about a year and half and are looking for a great apartment to move into for the following year. We love to cook, go out with friends, bring a picnic to the park, and explore different parts of the city on the weekends. Happy to share a bottle of wine and enjoy the occasional party, but for the most part we are neat, quiet and studious. Ideally we would love some professional flatmates who are clean and friendly.
I am a primary school teacher from Canberra and my gf works in recruitment and is from Southampton, England. We are both super clean. We like to chill and exercise on weekdays but love to dance and have a drink or two on weekends! We are very respectful of our housemates :) we have both lived in plenty of share houses before and know the drill.
I am 25, bright and chirpy, I am quite sociable and outgoing but also like to keep to myself at times. I work part time and study Marketing part time, so I like to keep my weekdays super chilled and enjoy going out on weekends. I am always up for a chat, I don't cook so the kitchen will always be clean, but I am happy to taste test if you love to cook ;) I'll wash I like to keep tidy and don't tend to leave things around the place. I am looking for a like minded female to move into a new place with together. Looking to move around March/April Also I come with a fridge and washing machine if needed :)
Hi there! I'm 21 year old multinational (Danish/Swiss by blood) and I'm coming down under for one semester as an exchange student. When I'm not studying social sciences, I spend my time being busy with student-committe type engagement, making music, or picking up strange hobbies left and right (speed stacking, beatboxing, card magic or Kung-Fu to name a few). I've got a way to long bucket list when it comes to what I'll be doing while studying in Sydney, but going on trips into the nature, making new friends, learning to surf and busking are chief amongst them. I'm a great flatmate because I'm very easygoing and open. It's important to me that there is a sense of friendship between people that live together, even if we might not always agree on everything. Luckily I'm good with keeping things friendly and building respect for each others boundaries.
Hi, my name is Olivia and I'm from Sweden, currently living in Stockholm. I will be studying communication design in Sydney from February 20th for 2-3 years and I'm looking for a place to stay. Massive 3 bed, 3 level terrace house, just on the city fringe! Big paved backyard and tonnes of room with seating and balconies on 2 bedrooms (including your bedroom!). Amazing location - 9 minute walk to Redfern station and 10 minute walk to Erskineville stations. Tonnes of restaurants, pubs and cafe's in the area. The Alexandria hotel is only a 3.5 minute walk from the house and the Rock's brewery is only a few steps further. Fratelli Fresh is just on the corner and there are ridiculous amounts of cool cocktail bars in Redfern. Getting into the CBD is super easy by bus, train or a super quick cab. In fact, the 308 bus comes right out the front of the house. 2 bedrooms in the house have balconies and the other bedroom is up in the attic. We live directly opposite a recording studio and its quite fun watching the celebrities come and go from the front balcony. Only thing is that there are going to be apartments being built on our street this year which might be annoying if you are on night shift and need to sleep during the day. The front room looks over Mitchell road so does have some car noise however, its not too loud. We have no aircraft noise as all. The house is fully furnished and we really dont need anything, however you are welcome to bring in anything that can fit into the house. THere is not a tonne of room but we can definitely find some room for your stuff. We have a massive telly and TONNES of DVD's however the TV is a smart tv so you can just connect to a hard drive and watch whatever you want. We have a LOT of viewing options if you are that way inclined. We have a great back courtyard with seating which is a lovely place for an afternoon beer. There are tonnes of plants at the moment but most will be leaving soon. So definitely happy for someone to bring in any plants to the home! We also have some really lovely neighbours who are good for a chat. Oh yeah, we have one full bathroom with a bath and then one other toilet downstairs. Theres heaps of off street parking in the back streets so no probs if you have a car. We have the current lease until January 2018 at which point we will apply to continue the lease as the house is awesome. You dont need to go on the lease but we are ideally wanting someone who wants to stay until jan next year. Deffo not looking for short term stays. Rent includes bills which means Gas, Electricity, unlimited internet which is really fast. We all download heaps of stuff all the time and have never had any problems with speed. So, rent including bills is $320 per week. This will also include all household stuff; toilet paper, cleaning stuff and basic cooking things which maryann normally gets so you dont have to worry about that. Its a pretty good deal for such a great big room so close to town.
We have gorgeous and enormous rooms to be shared. The unit is located across Sydney Park, which offers several facilities such as lap pool, spa, gym, sauna, tennis courts, BBQ's etc.. The rent per week is $185. If interested, please give me call to arrange an inspection time that suits you Thanks

Tina works in Financial services Monday to Friday, out at 8am and back 6pm , then to the gym or some sport. Paul is a musician and works from home during the weekdays and he is out on gigs from mid week night through to weekends. WE HAVE AN INDOOR DOG We also have a small well behaved maltese Pomeranian named Miss Sochu McPoo who lives inside, doesn't bark and will greet you like you are her best friend. We would prefer someone who loves having a dog around. Can you spot her in one of the pictures ? :) We live active, busy lifestyle, health conscious and love adventure travelling. We like snowboarding, scuba diving and anything that involves being outdoors, or healthy eating and drinking wine /vodka (always in moderation). Tina is also into dragon boat racing. We have enjoyed having different housemates of all ages share the house with us. Our home is your home. The house is generally quiet . You will have Paul's singing practice and guitar practice going on during day time hours. The only other thing you may hear would be the pitter patter of Sochu's (our dog) feet on the wooden floors. We generally cook dinner on the week days after the gym so it is usually late around 8pm. We would love to share some meals from time to time with our housemate, have wine and a chat , its a great way to connect. We generally do not cook any meat but we are not vegetarian. Weekends, Paul is out on gigs, while Tina is usually out and about. Week nights we like to watch a documentary or a movie, we don't have the TV connected. We usually find something that everyone would like to watch or take turns choosing. OUR IDEAL HOUSEMATE We would love to become friends with you so some common interests would make it easier. Having said that it doesn't have to be a deal breaker. It is an ideal. You are responsible and clean up after yourself. You are balanced between sociable and home body. Not into loud parties , loud music but not a stay at home person all the time. You love animals and especially dogs You like a reasonably clean and tidy environment but not a total neat OCD freak. SOME OTHER IMPORTANT STUFF With regards to cleaning, we have a cleaner come every fortnight to do the floors, and bathrooms. You just need to clean after yourself when using the kitchen. We go away about 2-3 weeks every 6 months and we need a flatmate who is happy to look after our dog in our absence. There is not much to it, give her a walk a day and put food out. She will follow you around and loves getting pats. We would negotiate a tradeoff in rent reduction for the time. Please get in contact, and we can provide more information or if you want to make a time to come over and have a chat and see the place.

This apartment is located North of Newtown where it is just a minute's walk (downstairs) from all the cafes, restaurants, King Street shops, and Hollis Park, with bus transport virtually at the front door and 8min walk to Newtown Station and a 5min walk to Macdonaldtown Station. It offers privacy as it is not located in the central area of King Street but just a minute's walk away. It will be beautifully furnished as i will be moving in February (my style is minimalistic with pops of colour - greys and dusty blues) so please note that the pictures provided are of when the old tenants lived in. I am looking forward to making the space cosy and will be providing all furniture that i will be buying over February (TV, Sofabed (you're welcome to have visitors over), work area, lots of plants, herbs that I will grow in the balcony, washing machine etc.) I am also looking to do a slight minor renovation of the bathroom and kitchen. Whilst I enjoy going out, i also appreciate spending quality time at home so will be building a 2 person work desk where you will be able to work from home. Netflix and Stan will also be offered. The kitchen is modern with gas appliances and there is also a swimming pool and small gym in the complex. There is parking available (downstairs, indoors) if you require but will need to pay additional. Walk to Sydney University and RPA Hospital.
Lovely Modern recently updated room in a 2 bedroom, single storey terrace with a brand new double bed and mattress with organic cotton bedding, huge mirrored BIR with drawers, shelves and hanging space with hangers. New plush carpet, Desk and chair. My place has a stylish, eclectic and quirky vibe. I've recently moved in and started doing a few mini updates here and there. The bathroom is small with no bath and the kitchen is from the 90's, however I have all the appliances needed and everything works. Including instantaneous very hot water, Vitamix, toaster, stove kettle, water filter, dishwasher etc. Separate laundry with a front loader washing machine and dryer on the wall which are both easy to use. Unlimited Internet At the moment, 3-4 months max is all I can commit to. If you require longer and it all is working out living together, I'd be happy to talk about extending your stay. If you are only looking for short term, I would require the full amount of rent paid up front for stays up to a month only. Any longer than a month will be up to you if you'd like to pay weekly, fortnightly or calendar monthly. I'm also happy to accomodate a couple, gay or straight, don't matter. $450 wk incl. Only for up to 2 months max sorry. Note: There is a vintage white secretary/bureau desk and chair in the room now, not seen in photos.

Me and my dog are looking for a new housemate or housemates to move into our two bedroom terrace in Alexandria. Right on the edge of Redfern and a 7min walk to the station, the house is air conditioned and well lit, with a long leafy courtyard for evening meals/drinks. The room available is the larger of the two and has plenty of space for furniture. The rest of the house is completely fitted out, but happy to get rid of some of my stuff to make room for anything you want to contribute.
A spacious and light-filled townhouse in Alexandria. The house has 2 bedrooms on the top floor and two on the middle floor, the ground floor is living space. The house is modern and very clean with everything you would expect. It's secure and features 3 bathrooms, an internal laundry, as well as a full gourmet kitchen with stainless steel appliances and gas cook top. It also has a private rear courtyard and floor boards in the kitchen, living and dining areas. It's surrounded by a leafy, quiet neighborhood close to Newtown and Erskineville and 25 minutes walk to Central Station. If you've been looking at rooms in share houses for a while and don't like whats out there (messy, dirty, places with no air or space) then this is definitely what you're looking for! You would be sharing with professionals who work long hours so we consider our home a sanctuary. We each work hours that sometimes sync and sometimes don't so the house is peaceful most of the time. We enjoy each others company over an occasional glass of wine when we are about together and like to maintain a clean, uncluttered house. You'll love it as soon as you walk in the door! You'll probably love it before that having walked past Fratelli Fresh, Don Campos, Bread and Circus Wholefoods and Salt Meats Cheese - they're all just steps away! You would be a non smoker who is after a calm experience when at home. I'm looking for a female professional or student who is trustworthy and honest and easy to live with. If you've shared before you know how important this is. Respect and a willingness to keep things simple and affable for everyone is what will earn you points in this home! :)
Hi there. This place is 10min walk from door to train door at Redfern Station (tested out by myself) A bit about myself, My name is Ronald I'm a professional engineer in the rail industry I am looking at getting someone who's clean, non smoker, friendly and easy going to share the 4 bedroom town house with me. Preferably young full time workers professionals or students who plans to stay more than 12 months continuously. I'm an Australia born Chinese who speaks fluent english and cantonese(thanks to my granny who only speaks canto). I'm a very active person and i love all sort of sports eg. snowboard, basketball, wakeboarding, football, table tennis and more!!! I'm very sociable as well so I enjoy light drinking and chatting with my flatmates. At the same time I'd love my own space and time. So you may sometimes see me in my own room having a bit of red wine and listening to instrumental music eg guitar and piano music. Please note that this is NOT A PARTY HOUSE I have a total of 3 rooms available for rent. (2 rooms left, Emily who is a 2nd year fashion marketing student has taken Bedroom 2) The rooms are currently unfurnished but I am planning to furnish the room to the like of the long term tenants (ask me if you would like to know more). YES, sounds a bit too good to be true but i'd rather attract top flatmates with top quality rooms Each of the bedrooms are very large so there is an option to include a bed, a TV , a coffee table and a 2 seater sofa in each room so my you can really enjoy their own privacy in a studio like living. The living room will be equipped with a 60inch tv plus a 4 seater fabric sofa. There will be a no food in room and no shoes in house policy (just to keep the place tidy) so you will just have to share the 2.5 bathrooms, the kitchen and the living area. I am looking for singles to move in as I try not to crowd the place too much and this is NOT A PARTY HOUSE Please feel free to contact me to find out more.

I'm a social, easy going guy. I work full time in the city and am home most week nights. On the weekends I try to pack a lot in and every few weeks I head up the coast to visit family. I have a Boxer who is a total dude, he loves everyone and it would be great if I could find a place with another dog. I'm open to moving into an existing house or starting up a new house.
I am a second year medical student studying at the University of Sydney and work casually throughout the year. Generally, I enjoy peace and quiet, but don't mind sharing meals or a cup of tea. In all likelihood I'll spend most of the time in my room, but I often go for runs in the morning and like going out during the day. I also enjoy reading and discussing books, especially on recommendation. I'm clean and tidy and have respect for all communal spaces. I'm also willing to contribute to cleaning or cooking rosters if they form part of the living arrangements of the house/flat. Looking forward to hearing from you!
clean, tidy, friendly, chill but respectful. I'm study and work 5 days a week so i have income stable. I'm Rose. I'm student and part time job. I'm looking for a nice place where make me feel like home. I'm friendly, tidy, organized, sociable, easy going, and also respectable. If I'm a person who you looking for please contact me.
Environmental Consultant|Sustainability Practitioner | Serious food lover | Globetrotter wannabe I have a full-time job in an Environmental consultancy in North Parramatta and looking to move from my current suburb to somewhere more or less at an hour distance (max.) to both work and city. What I wold like in an ideal flatmate: - Cleanliness & tidiness (you've been warned, I'm a bit OCD, especially when it comes to dishes in the sink) - Friendly disposition (we don't have to be best friends, but I don't want to live with a stranger) - Some consideration for the environment would be great too (e.g. if I move into a house, I'm totally getting a compost bin!) Other than that you should know that I love anything to do with food (cooking, eating, even grocery shopping!) and I'm pretty keen on outdoors activities (and always looking for new companions for walks, hikes and the like)! If it sounds like we could be compatible, sent me a message ASAP! I'd love to hear from you. I'm also happy to look for a place together with the right person.
I'm a very laid back working professional and like to keep things tidy and comfortable around the home. I'm looking for like-minded laid back housemates who don't take life very seriously and are open to having a drink together now and then! I'm looking for a private room with its own bathroom and unfurnished.
Hi there! My name's Angie. I’m a Graphic Designer, I lead a healthy, active lifestyle, house-proud, clean, considerate looking to share a happy home with like-minded other/s. * While I am looking for long-term I am currently open to short-term for a few months until I find a new abode * Property ideal & location: 2-4 bedroom, 2 bathroom property in fairly central, well connected area. A spacious apartment / warehouse / townhouse or house. Must have a balcony or courtyard and outlook, be light-filled, modern with gas stove cooking pref. Looking to pay up to $350 inc bills. About me: I work freelance within various studios full-time M–F fairly long hours. I like to balance that by keeping fit with triathlon, pilates and weekend hikes. I enjoy shopping at fresh food markets, cooking, socialising, travel, languages, photography & nature! I am well travelled and have lived in France, South of England and recently in London for two years. Ideal flatmate/s: I love people and living with someone who is friendly, broad-minded, traveller, social, independent who enjoys to hang out sometimes as well, watch a series, share a meal, go to a gallery etc. People who want to make a ‘home’ not just renting rooms.
Hi! I am moving to AUS from the other land of OZ (aka: Kansas, the home of Dorothy, Toto, and the Wizard). I will be attending the University of Sydney Doctor of Veterinary program, so I will spend a lot of time studying! However in my free time I love running and being outdoors so if anyone wants a roommate/running buddy I'm your girl! One plus about me as a roommate is that when I am stressed, I productively procrastinate by cleaning.
Hi! I've just returned from doing my 2 years in the UK, followed by a short stint working in the UAE, and am now making the move from Brisbane to Sydney to complete a masters at USyd. Looking to move any time between mid January and the end of February. I'm looking for an affordable place, with good public transport links. More importantly, I'm looking for some friendly housemates - people who are keen to hang out socially every now and then, not just a house where we're constantly ghosting each other 😁. I'm an easygoing, friendly, clean, and straightforward housemate. I love cooking, eating, binge watching TV (the same as pretty much everyone else), live music, and pub quizzes!
Hey everyone! I'm moving from Canada to Sydney at the end of January to study education at USYD. I'm looking to find a place that will feel like home and not just a place to stay. I love being at the beach, going out on the weekend, and anything breakfast related (am also partial to a Netflix binge with lots of popcorn). Hoping to live with likeminded people who don't mind hanging out and having drinks now & then when work/school/etc permits :)
Newish to Sydney after spending the last two years living in Edinburgh. I work full time at a cafe in the CBD so I'm looking for somewhere inner-city-ish to live long term. I'm pretty easy-going, friendly and tidy. I like to hang out and have a few reds with housemates but can be respectful of people's space when they need it.
I love to be clean. (messily clean) And I love to cook (Cooking is one way for me to think too) I would say that I enjoy life and have a set of healthy philosophy to guide me. I love to travel and love to read ( I am reacently reading David Brooks' "The Road to Character") I appreciate art ( I was an art student in high school). Coffee shops and museums are two of my favorite places. I also go to gym. I like hiking too. I appreciate being alone and I enjoy group activities. I am going to study a master program of peace and conflict studies at the University of Sydney this month. I am looking forward to find more about Sydney.
