    $450/week32 year old man

Dear Potential Flatmate, I am writing to express my interest in renting a room in your flat/house. My name is Adam and I am a 32-year-old technical support specialist at Origin Energy. I am relocating from Sydney to Melbourne for work purposes and I am looking for a long-term accommodation. I am a friendly, respectful and tidy person who enjoys learning new things and meeting new people. Some of my hobbies include reading, exercising, yoga, hiking, watching movies and playing video games. I also like to socialise occasionally and have a nice dinner or a drink with friends. I appreciate a quiet environment for work and rest, but I also like to have some fun and good vibes in my free time or during holidays. I am single and I have a Jordanian background. I moved to Australia in 2014 and I love this country. I always pay my rent and bills on time and I can provide references from previous landlords or agents if needed. I am looking for a comfortable and convenient place to live in Melbourne preferably in the CBD or close the city with compatible flatmates who are clean, respectful and friendly. I prefer a private room with a double bed and a bathroom, but I am flexible and open to other options. I would love to hear from you and arrange a virtual viewing if possible. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. Thank you for your consideration and I hope to hear from you soon. Sincerely, Adam

    $240/week30 year old gender diverse

My name is Elizabeth but I go by E, I'm a 30 year old afab person who is looking for a place to stay with my pets, a 1 year old border collie and a 4 year old Hahn's macaw/miniature macaw. I'm friendly, easy going but often rather quiet person. I like my space but I am still able to be social with those who want to socialise. I'm good at staying clean and tidy, particularly in communal areas. The biggest mess I deal with on a regular basis is dog hair and toy stuffing thanks to Aragon but I am good at keeping in top of it and working out a cleaning schedule that works best for everyone. Bonus feature is I can identify most spiders and insects and can tell you if they're dangerous or not and am willing to remove them from inside the house. Not fond of killing them unless they're invasive or dangerous to attempt to relocate. I currently don't work because of disability but I am looking for future part time work from home or study opportunities. I'm on DSP so despite not currently working I still have a guaranteed source of income. When home I spend a lot of time with my pets or doing one of my many quiet hobbies. Which include writing, reading, gaming and arts and crafts. I do njoy my time to myself but I am also not completely antisocial and I'm happy to have a chat or a movie night ect from time to time. I am also looking to rent with friends in the future with is why my preference is a short lease because I am uncertain how long it will be until we find a place for the four of us. We do have plans to plan around any lease I end up on, including me paying for rent for two places temporarily so that I can complete any lease I'm on before moving in with them. About my pets: Border collie is named Aragon, he's 1 year old and super friendly. He didn't have the best start to life so has a few quirks but he is fully toilet trained, in active training to encourage wanted behaviours and he is very friendly towards people and other dogs but sometimes gets over excited and will jump which I'm working on training him out of. Hahn's macaw is named Zaiden, she is 4 years old and she is friendly but takes a while to warm up to other people and likely will only want to be on me but she will except treats from others and enjoys talking with other people. She spends most of her time in her cage unless I'm home and then I will let her out for exercise under constant supervision. She is toilet trained but if she has an accident I will clean it up and it won't leave a smell like other pet messes can. She's also provided with a wide range of toys to chew on and is constantly supervised when outside of her cage so I know she won't chew on anything she's not supposed to chew on. I'll take full responsibility for my pets and I will pay for or replace anything that is damaged by them, which is unlikely to happen since I have not hand any issues the whole time I've had them but I'm still stating this for others peace of mind.
