I have a sick aunt at Chermside who I spend some time with and run errands for when I can, so I prefer a place in Chermside to get around easily with that- along with the supermarket and transport all being in the same place. I'm independent and easy going. Currently doing a Master's due to finish mid 2018 and then return to full time work if all goes according to plan with some other factors. I'm friendly but also have my own schedule, priorities and responsibilities. Looking for people who don't take offence to this and aren't looking for a new bestie to hang out with on the couch every night and all weekend lol. I enjoy a meal, a chat, a movie etc when I can. Looking to move urgently at the moment as a place I had lined up unexpectedly fell through via a short text message with 24 hrs to go before moving. Available - a inviting,spacious room 5 min walk from Geebung station,close to shops and parks with cycle ways. Chermside Library and public pool are also near. The postwar home has a patio with a calming view to the garden. There is limited internet in the house but can be extended to unlimited if required. The room can be furnished or unfurnished - EXEPT the bed (have no storage to remove the bed). The only bill is quarterly electricity split.A solar system exists to keep this cost moderate. Sorry no pets.
I own my home in Geebung and absolutely love living here, my home is large and mostly modern. The property is very close to Chermside shopping centre, walking distance to the closest train station (18 minutes into the valley), and in the morning only takes me around 15 minutes to drive into the valley however with traffic can be a little longer. The property is between two major arterial roads, Gympie Road and Gateway Motorway. The home has 4 bedrooms, two of which are furnished as bedrooms, one as a study and the other large spare room. Unfortunately only one full bathroom however it is a very large one with a shower, bath and two sinks. There is a second toilet located elsewhere in the home. There is also a large kitchen/dining/lounge area with a second lounge area. There is also aircon in each room.

Hi everyone I am trying to see if anyone would like to rent my current place with me, and my partner. I am looking to fill one bedroom. The rent for the entire property is $430 (However I wish to negotiate with the real estate on this price when renewing the lease later on). There are 3 bedrooms in this queenslander, the smallest of the rooms is quite small in comparison to the other two so this room will/should be a fraction cheaper then the huge ones. The smaller bedroom is available for $135-145 per week (depending on agreement of all parties), located at the back of the house, tucked away from the other two bedrooms, It has a double door wardrobe and a ceiling fan, there is also a nook that could be used for a study area or lounge space if you like (that would be included as your area). The main bedroom is at the front of the property and is currently our room. The second bedroom is as large as our room and also has two double wardrobes, and a ceiling fan ($145-150) The large living spaces of the property are furnished but can be rearranged and also would fit more furtniture if you have some to bring, the bedrooms however are unfurnished. There are hard wood floors throughout, and a balcony at the back of the property, large yard that is pet friendly (depending on how they all get along), I have a bull terrier that is still a pup about 11 months Millie, she is very loving and we also have a male cattle dog 3 year old Percy, who is very well behaved and friendly, if you have a dog we can look into council approval. Our main concern is that we need housemates that will be mindful of the gates being shut properly as it is a busy road, so pet lovers are very welcome. There is also space under the house that can be made into an undercover area or storage etc. There is undercover parking under the house and/or plenty of space out the front on the street. Sunshine train station is very close or alternatively Geebung station. The property is very central to shops such as westfield Chermside, dog parks, transport etc, we have netflix and internet available (depending on how much is needed).
Housemate wanted to share with one other person and cat. No dogs unfortunately as my rescue greyhound is very timid with other dogs . It is a lovely old Queenslander on a corner block in Geebung in North brisbane. Plenty of yard space and outside entertaining area. Two car car port, half of which is yours as well as heaps of street parking. Not a busy street but still walking distance from Chermside shopping centre and all forms of public transport (except the city cat obviously) Also we're literally next door to a coffee shop, just saying :) All applicants will have to be approved by real estate but you don't have to go on the lease so as long as you aren't black listed that shouldn't be a problem. The bedroom is a great size with a third room that is currently used as a study but is negotiable. Shared bathroom/toilet with a bathtub/shower. All bedrooms have ceiling fans and the bathroom also has a fan/heat lamp. Air conditioning is available in the living and kitchen area but the house gets a lovely cross breeze when the windows are open so we seldom needed it last summer. Massive bonus storage/living space underneath the house, all concreted with lights and powerpoints - three full extra rooms, currently not used except for storage because it's cold and creepy but would make a great craft area etc. Outside laundry with washer and dryer as well as a nice big hills hoist washing line in full sun in the yard. Currently have unlimited internet for $80/month so $40 each but it is out of contract and NBN is coming soon so if you're big into internet etc and want something better I'm open to it.

Great three bedroom property in Zillmere located on ground level. Each bedroom and the living room have their own glass door and patio out to the backyard. 10 minute walk to train station. Internet is $60/month split between three people so $20 each p/month. Power bills are quarterly and have not been more than $120 per quarter per person so far. Living room is air conditioned, kitchen + dining + living area is one big open space with all three bedrooms + main bathroom leading off it. Three bedrooms, one couple in the main bedroom, one spare bedroom with a double bed for friends and guests to come and stay, and a third bedroom for yourself. The main bathroom of the apartment will be yours, the main bedroom has an ensuite so we have no need for the main bathroom so you won't need to share. TV is not huge as we don't watch a lot of TV but there is one there. Fridge is less than a month old, washing machine is six months old and we bought it new. It's a super quiet street, easy as to find a park next to the apartment. There is a tiled patio space out the back where you can watch the sunset which is always lovely.

Bus route that comes through on neighbouring street. Brisbane Airport is 15min away. Loads of restaurants, parks and things close by to do. House rules are that you pay your rent on time, keep at clean/tidy house and room and must contribute to chores. The dwelling itself is a Townhouse with a tiled courtyard, outdoor clothesline, the surround area is quiet during the day and night, is very much a family type area.
