Hello everybody! My name is Andrés and I'm coming to Australia (woohoo) to do my PhD at Macquarie University. I'm arriving in Sydney on January 30th and I'm looking for a nice place, with nice people and nice location to live. I've been sharing a flat in Amsterdam during the last year, and before that I've been living in shared flats for almost 10 years in Barcelona... So, yes, I know almost everything about roommates, weekly cleaning and shared dinners... :) I am 29 yo, gay, clean, tidy and outgoing. I enjoy talking with flatmates, but also enjoying time by my own. I like cooking and share meals with roomies. I also enjoy outdoors, cycling, movies, netflix... a normal guy. Not a party animal, I prefer having dinner with friends or chilling at home... but sometimes partying is also nice. If you think I can be your next flatmate message me! I'm also available for teaming-up! Cheers! :)
I come with books (100+, fiction), a couple of box sets, a netflix account, and several shelving units. Im without a doubt an introvert, but that being said, I am warm and bubbly on my good days! I enjoy being a bit of a hermit sometimes, and will frequently binge-watch shows. Im not a party person, nor am I exceptionally clean, although I do respect shared spaces and how others may feel about mess. Im very independent (which is why im so desperate to move out of home) and Im always on time. I am a huge believer in equal human rights from things like marriage equality to each person contributing fairly. I'll always be respectful, even if we disagree. Im actively involved in Scouts Australia, as a current Rover and an assistant leader for Scouts. I've got a casual job in Gordon with an afterschool-care company so ill have a bit of a strange schedule but will still be home most of the time. Im hoping to find the cheapest place possible so I'd be happy to be part of a big share house to help cut down on rent. Ive just finished high school and am looking for my first place, so I wouldnt mind finding someone with previous share-house experience, however i am responsible and motivated, just a little new at this! Im looking to move somewhere between Hornsby and Gordon, hopefully along the train line or at least with good public transport! Feel free to shoot me a message about anything, because im open and friendly and just really super eager to move to a new place! :D
We are a looking for someone to share our spacious, brand new 2-bedroom unit in Gordon. The room is unfurnished but we can help furnish if required. The room comes with a built-in wardrobe and can accommodate a queen bed with room to spare. You will also have your own bathroom. The apartment is directly across the road from the Gordon train station and bus stop making it easy to get to Chatswood, North Sydney, Macquarie Park or the CBD, as well as being very close to the local shops, restaurants and cafes. The apartment is on the ground floor with a beautiful courtyard, a modern kitchen with dishwasher, large living/dining area and internal laundry
We're 2 housemates searching for a 4 bedroom house in the North Shore/Northern Beaches to move in at the start of next year. We'll be after others to fill the other 2 rooms (couples considered). We would be interested in an agreement for 3-6 months with the view to extend if things work well for everyone. We are ideally after people in their mid 20's but it's not a deal breaker for the right fit. Looking for people who are/have: •Laid back •Open minded •Good communication •Great sense of humour •Socially oriented We enjoy: •Board game, cheese & wine nights •Netflix •Ping pong •Cute pretend family nights •Hosting the occasional house party Please look somewhere else if you are: (we've been through the ringer too many times) •Uptight •Disrespectful •Messy/dirty A bit about us: Chelsea: 22 years old, Full time in admin, part time dog admirer & self professed beer pong champ. I spend my weeknights flailing in the kitchen yelling at Dan to check if the chicken's cooked; but for real, I love a good chat on the couch partly sharing my tub of Ben & Jerry's. Weekends are for adventures, the occasional house party and sleeping. My boyfriend stays with me most weekends, he's chill. Dan: also 22, I'm a mechanic by day and an open-minded armchair philosopher by night - happy to go deep on anything from ethics to the latest episode of the bachelor that I didn't watch. When I'm not checking Chelsea's chicken, you'll usually find I've headed out to see the latest music acts, having a jam at home or tinkering with cars and electronics.
Hi Guys. I am easy going person who is considerate and respectful of others' privacy, now looking for a room to rent. I like to socialize but I am not a party animal. I work full time and hangout in weekends. So, feel free to text me if you think we can team up or if you have a spare room to rent.
I'm open to any area of Sydney so long as it's near a train line as I work in the CBD. Am tidy and organised and am happy to keep to myself or socialise, whatever works! Ideally would like to find someone to rent a place with, kind of make it our own rather than be guests in someone else's place. Shoot me a message!!
Hi, my name is Tom and I come from a small town on the Mid North Coast. I will be commencing work at Fox Sports at St Leonards in November, which will involve mainly weekend and some overnight work. So therefore I am looking for accommodation nearby (or along the north shore line). I have been living in share accommodation for the past 4 years at uni which I enjoyed immensely. I am a pretty easy going, relaxed guy. I don't smoke or use drugs. I do enjoy a few drinks socially with friends. I like to keep the place clean and I like to think that I can cook, and I am prepared to contribute to the running of the household in any way I can. Cheers, Tom
Hey is that you?! I am looking for you!!! A very easy going girl who working at Chatswood looking for another girl to share the two bedroom newly renovated granny house. If you are working at the north shore or downtown at the CBD, Gordon is a very good suburb to live. Please feel free to give me a call to ask more. Hannah
My name is Scott Robertson and I am from Scotland in the U.K. I am 21 years old and I have just finished university. I wanted to travel Australia after finishing my degree. I am now staying in Sydney playing cricket and working. Most of my time here I will be working, attending cricket training, going for beers with mates and going to the beach. I am great to live with because I am pretty social and respectful. I will treat your accommodation with respect and pitch in with chours when necessary.
Hey guys!! We are looking for an awesome place to live, with like-minded people. Mounisha: I'm studying full time at MQU doing Science/Law (yes, I'm aware I'm a nerd :P) and also work part time at a driving school. I love my wine and netflixing, but if you are keen on horrible jokes and watching me lose at board games, I make decent company. I also really love puppies. Like, a lot. Isham: He didn't want to write his own bio, so I'm gonna write whatever I want here. This dude is a full time Commerce/Law student (how boring can he get????) and works part time as tech support. He's pretty quiet, but also really awesome once you get to know him. We're just looking for people who are fun and weird and love food. We're also saving for a wedding soon so looking for somewhere affordable but not too far from uni. If you think you've got room for us or want to start a teamup, shoot us a message and we can grab coffee sometime!
I like to keep my place clean and always clean up after myself. Organised living space. I spend a lot of time with my boyfriend so he would sleep over a lot or I would be at his. I may or may not it have a cat not sure yet. But I take full responsibility for myself and my possessions. I’m happy to help out lots with house hold choirs. I have a car.
i am looking for somewhere to make my home base where i can study when i go back to university next year. It would be helpful to be on a train line and near buses that can get me to Macquarie University. I am hoping to bring my dog with me. He is a small jack Russel X Shitzu, he is very very well trained, he doesn't run away and he doesn't go to the toilet anywhere but on grass. He is more like a cat than a dog, as he likes to get under my covers to sleep and will basically sleep anywhere he can all day long.
Hi, I am looking for a team up to get a 2 bedroom for $450-$550. I currently live on the northern beaches, but am looking to be closer to a train line to lessen the commute. I'm usually pretty relaxed, however like the house to be clean and tidy. Happy to spend a night at the movies or watch a season on Netflix with you. I have a boyfriend, who will most likely stay over around 4 nights a week, however will obviously pay for his share of the utilities etc. I also have heaps of furniture from my past apartment and would be happy to help out where needed. I would love you to get in contact with me if you think we would be a good match. Kind regards, Georgia
Suit mature person; own room, $60 a night on a semi-permanent basis. Perfect for Fifo (part-timer). There may be a choice of two rooms. Ideally I’m seeking a part-time house mate who has their own home else-where and comes to Sydney for work. $240 for up to 4 nights a week (preferably set nights mid-week). Fee includes electricity, gas, Wi-Fi, cleaners and gardeners. Although I'm often sociable and happy to share a meal and a drink occasionally, often I like my own space so alternatively I'd consider negotiating with someone who is away a fair bit on business and wouldn't spend a lot of time here in the hours I'm around. If you are seeking an affordable bed and shower, a nice lounge room to relax in and in a tranquil, clean well-maintained home to come to after a hard days work, this could be the place for you. I'm a female, Australian who has travelled a fair bit and lived abroad; I do shift work as a Support Worker for people with mental health issues and/or disabilities. You'd probably have the house to yourself a fair bit as due to work, I'm usually not home a few nights a week and I also go away regularly as my main hobby is kayaking - especially going away and exploring new waterways. I also enjoy swimming laps most days. Located in a quiet dead-end street there is safe off-street parking at night and plenty of on street parking nearby through the day as well as (as of Oct 17), time unlimited undercover parking with 24hr security camera's at a new three level Railcorp Commuter Car Park at Henry St Bus Terminus at Gordon Train station. The house is a block away from the major intersection of Ryde Rd and Pacific Hwy and just a few minutes drive to the M2. Public transport: house is half-way between Gordon and Pymble train station, about 15 minute walk to either (stations are on Sydney's North Shore train line, 30 Min's to city or beach, 10mins to Chatswood and about 15 to Hornsby ). Macquarie Park and University and North Ryde area are also within easy distance. Reference and photo ID required as is, 3 weeks bond. Rent to be paid in advance with a minimum of 2 weeks notice on departure. Rooms are fully furnished with either a three quarter, a double bed or a Queen bed depending on which room and all have a wardrobe, desk, chair etc but you would need to supply your own linen and blankets. The room would be yours to leave your belongings when away but I reserve the right to use it very occasionally should I need to - if this would be an issue, please discuss with me. Sorry but due to my garage being full with pottery and sporting gear, other than your room there is no additional storage area. If interested, please email to let me know a bit about you and your expected daily routine, when you require room, for how long and which nights each week you require room and I'll respond so please also give me your private contact details. The agreed fee is for one person only which is for a semi-permanent arrangement and as such is to be paid regardless as to whether you would be here or not - for example annual leave as I will be holding the room for you and it barely covers the cost of my expenses, ie. you won't incur 'credit's' for days/weeks you don't stay here. Casual arrangements can be discussed but attract a higher fee and obviously wouldn't secure a room on an on-going basis. LGBT friendly but sorry no children, pets and definitely no smokers, not even 'outdoor smokers'. Also, I'm not keen on housemates having guests over but if it's a special friend or relative, please discuss with me. Thank you and good luck!
I am outgoing, friendly and warm. I like to keep common areas clean and tidy and carry my weight with household cleaning duties. I am social and will happily join in on house family dinners and tv/movie nights. I study full time and work part time and am at cheer leading training two or three times a week these days as competitions ramp up. When I'm not doing those three things, I like watching catch up episodes of the block, binge watching netflix, going to the movies or going out occasionally for drinks and pool with friends.
I am 34 yrs male. clean and tidy person. I live in waitara at the moment. Looking for room for rent in lower north Shore. I am working full time and self studing at home.going gym 3-4 days a week.
Mature, easy going and considerate.. One who appreciates other people's space as well as their belongings. Looking for a place where it feels more like home, rather than just a place to sleep in. Also, looking forward to getting to know my roommates over a glass of red (or perhaps even a bottle) haha!! Hope to meet you soon!!
Hmm... What to say, what to say... I am a 32 years old jewelry artist. I am invited to Sydney by an art school to teach, share my knowledge and see Australia at its best. I don't smoke, I don't drink. What I do: I drive a motorbike, observe stars, take interest in astrophysics and philosophy, play chess, listen to hard rock, run everyday, listen to people, think, sculpt, paint, draw, read, do other artsy stuff... I am easy to live with and very respectful. Sometimes I tend to be quiet, sometimes chatty and from time to time I need my space, as all introverts do. I love animals (except spiders....).
