Hello! I’m joining the mass migration to Canberra to start an APS grad role in Feb 2019. I’m very easygoing and social, and generally balance my time equally between home and social stuff out and about. In true millennial style I love my Gorman, smashed avo, regular wines and Netflix binge sessions. I have a strange affinity with vegetables and enjoy cooking them in new and interesting ways. I also like hiking and pretty nature walks. I’m looking for a housemate or housemates who are super chill, friendly and respectful. I love to create a beautiful space and have previously furnished my own apartment, so ideally I’d be looking for a new apartment or house. I have pretty much all the furnishings and appliances needed for common spaces. I’ll be overseas travelling until mid-December, with my move date flexible from then on.
Hello future housemates! My name is Javs and I'm a full-time young professional working in the defence industry. I'm a healthy eater, and I like to keep myself active and social. I'm honest, responsible, and clean. I respect privacy, but it's also cool to kick it if we vibe. If we don't, that's cool too 🙂. I value open, honest communication and if there are any issues or problems I'd like to get those out in the open and sorted out. If you think we might be good housemates feel free to give me a call. looking forward to meeting you!
I am pretty quiet, enjoy tea, chats and have great taste in TV & poetry. I'm currently working part-time in the community sector and loving it! Canberra has got me hooked on latin partner dancing, yeah I didn't see this hobby coming either :p
Current lease ends at January 22nd 2019, looking for a place to move in immediately after that > full-time phd student > friendly and easy-going > respect others' privacy > have a car (so that my roommate and I can go out and have fun on holidays)
Hi guys :) My boyfriend, Tom, our dog Neva and I are looking for a third housemate to join us in our home in Griffith. The available unfurnished room is large, with a good-sized window which lets in the morning sun, wooden floorboards and a ceiling fan for the summer. The remainder of the house is fully furnished with an open plan living/dining area, separate kitchen, laundry, and bathroom which will be shared between the three of us. There is a small third bedroom which we use as a guest room for family and friends. The backyard is huge with numerous raised vegetable beds, old fruit trees and a small garage in the back for storage.
I’m originally from Canberra and I love what this capital has to offer. I’m looking to move out of home and into a comfortable place in a great environment/area. I enjoy my solitude but loves socialising and going out and doing fun activities or going to cool events that are on. I’m currrently studying part time and working. Will be starting uni full-time next year @ UC. Happy to just hang out and I’m always down for a good d&m.
Hey there, my name is Rach and I live in Adelaide but I'm moving to Canberra in 2019 to work as a graduate in the APS. I'm looking for flatmates who are easy going, friendly, and enjoy a wine or two. I'm looking for flatmates who want to be friends, and spend the odd day or night together watching netflix/going for walks/watching the footy or having a BBQ. That being said, I'm also respectful of time to ourselves, and will need a bit of this to catch up on work and study, and go home to Adelaide every now and then. What can I bring to the table? Nice wine glasses, cheese knives and platters, coffee cups, and decent cooking skills. What can you bring? Hopefully a table! I'm good to keep things clean and tidy, pull my weight and pay my bills on time. In my spare time I like to be social, play with my dog Charlie (unfortunately he's not coming with me), scout out good coffee and good wineries. Coming from South Australia, I'm into things like supporting small wineries, local producers and farmers markets. It also means I'm used to being able to get anywhere in 20 minutes, so I'm looking for places in areas close to my work in Barton. If you think we'd get along, and you've got a room free around January/February 2019, please get in touch!
I'm easy going, fun, can chat about a really great range of topics and love music - almost any kind. I'm a single, mature age uni student, photographer and a bit of a nerd! And I'm not afraid of housework. :) I grew up in Canberra and love that I still call it home.
Just another bloke at the pub. I'm a former ANU and UC student and have done several sharehouses over the last 6 years odd, so understand the nature of various households. I'm flexible and able to adapt myself to the requirements of housemates, having lived with men and women of various individual natures. I am a Football (soccer) enthusiast, refereeing football and futsal regularly. I'm also playing local level (social) cricket on Saturdays, enjoy lawn bowls, pub trivia and local gigs. Anything fun, its all an adventure. I'm generally a sociable person, but have days where I'll disappear into a book or tv show in my room, as we all do. I'm Just a regular pleb frankly. I quit my previous job to travel to the World Cup in Russia, so I've been in Port Macquarie with my parents since returning from Europe. Currently on Newstart but I have 5 nights a week refereeing football/futsal lined up in Canberra so I will be able to readily afford essential living expences while looking for more regular work. Geographically flexible in Canberra area, mainly returning to Canberra for the purpose of cricket season. Trying to keep it on the cheaper side. Happy for a furnished or unfurnished room, any size. Any questions just give us a shout! Cheers, Matthew.
HI, I'm Krystel and currently looking at finding a room for the next 3 to 6 months starting end of September. I'm originally from France but have been living in Australia for the past 7 years so it's pretty much home. I am moving from Sydney to Canberra for work, and was hoping to eventually get my own place, but it'll be easier to get a room to start off with. I'm super easy going, very tidy, a vegan but I don't care what you eat (no joke! I'm not one of the crazy vegans), and don't intend on bringing the part home. I usually keep to myself but happy to hang out and have a chat every now and again. I am very busy outside of work, so don't spend much time at home so you'd barely ever see me yet I would pay rent! Win Win! I'm also looking for a place for 6-9 months as I'll then be trying to get my own place. Any questions, please ask :)
