The place is a 8 minute walk from the station and shops along Poath Road in Hughesdale and 20 minutes from Oakleigh central. Access to buses that go to Chadstone SC, Monash University Caulfield and Clayton, Southland SC and plenty more. It also has cooling upstairs and heating downstairs. An outside courtyard and backyard. It’s in a townhouse setting but can barely tell that there’s neighbours and generally a quiet neighbourhood as well. The room itself has a lot of light, a large built in wardrobe and overlooks the courtyard in the backyard. All bills, internet and what not is already set up so would be easy to move right in.
Hi potential flatmates, I am a PhD student from Germany and I am in Melbourne at least until end of August next year to do research. In my spare time I like to just hang out outside with friends, hopefully also on the beach now, or watch movies and series. If time allows, I enjoy going out to things like concerts and festivals or just a nice bar on the weekend. I have lived in different shared flats for the last 8 years and I am looking for a social flat, which feels like a home with fun people who like to enjoy a few beers and chats in the evenings or on the weekends. Since I have to work and write a thesis, though, it would be good to not have a crazy party every night. Location wise, I really like Oakleigh! Aside from that, would like somewhere closeish to a train station going to Clayton and possibly close to some nice bars. Having an outside area/garden would be great, too :). I am looking forward to getting to know new potential flatmates and friends! I am looking to move as soon as possible, have to give my current landlady 4 weeks notice, though. Cheers, Julia
This is a beautiful 1930 Art Deco 2bedroom house with a full garden and backyard. Bedrooms are at the opposite end of the house so you will enjoy your own quiet and privacy. The shared bathroom is centrally located with the toilet being at the back of the house. Kitchen is fully equipped with all glasses, plates, pots etc. The fully furnished medium sized room has a Queen size bed, 1 x side table, 1x tall boy, 1 x wardrobe and 2 x shelving units. You will need to supply your own linen but pillows and doona can be included if required. There is plenty of excess storage in the house should you require. While the room doesn’t have air-con the house has double brick walls and Hugh ceilings and is cool in summer. Room looks out Over garden and has an opening window to allow fresh air in. Rent includes all bills but does not include food or cleaning products or Netflix. Permit Street parking is available if you own a car. The house is 2mins walk from Hughesdale Station with the city CBD only a 20 min train ride away. 10 mins walk and you will find yourself at Chadstone. The food options in the area are endless with Deliveroo and Uber Eats delivering from Carnegie, Oakleigh and Chadstone food venues.
Hughesdale train station is across the road. Chadstone shopping centres is 5min walk. Oakleigh central and restaurants are with in 5min drive. Good place to get around if you drive, is close to the M1 and Dandenong an warrigal roads
I'm Bemes and I am starting out here in Melbourne. I am a Systems Analyst by profession and I enjoy the outdoors. I am an avid runner and I've just done my first Melbourne Marathon. I am looking for a place with responsible flatmates. I prefer a quiet place that has an inclusive environment.
Fun personality, love photography and animals. Worked in the media and now in Key Accounts. Very independent and respectful of others. Social but also like quiet times too. Very tidy and organised. Easy going, honest and welcoming. From Melbourne. Looking to team-up if interested :)
Hi, I am Vik from India. I work full-time as Project manager in Dandenong South. I am an open-minded, easy going and tidy person who respects people's privacy and personal space. Few things I enjoy are Coffee, food, music, movies and yoga. I don't mind occasional drink, but not a binge drinker. Looking somewhere near by to Carnegie by December 8th, but I also consider surrounding suburbs as well.
My name's Joe, I'm 21 and studying LInguistics at Monash. I work in a cafe part-time and am looking to move closer to uni for next semester. I don't smoke and only really drink socially. I would describe myself as perpetually sunburn-prone and clean, although I've been told that I'm funny, bright and smiley. It's always weird to gas yourself up like this but I was "a pleasure to have in class" so what more do you need to know? Above all else, I'd like to move into a place with good vibes, preferably near PT or bike paths. Maybe a spot to put some of my pot plants If I sound like a good fit for your place, then I hope when we can sort something out!
G’day my name's Matt, I'm 25 years old and I'm searching for a new place to call home. Besides being bloody good at paying rent and bills on time, here's a little about me; I keep myself pretty busy between work, uni, gym and seeing friends. I work in sports retail part-time while studying a business degree at RMIT. I have lived in two long term share houses, and very well house trained. I’m a sociable person who is looking similar housemates who don’t mind a chat. I enjoy a beer or wine and the occasional night out, but would also be keen on a movie on the couch. I have a budget between $170-200 for the right place and considering any areas in Melbournes Eastern Suburbs. Places of interest would be Camberwell, Balwyn, Kew, Glen Iris, Ashburton, Hughesdale, Malvern, Toorak, Windsor, Hawthorn.
Hey there, I'm Ramya. Will be moving there on February 15th 2020 for the March intake - Monash University(Master of Media and Communication). I'm very adjusting to people and places, so not very particular in terms of requirements. I'm always up for a jamming session with a drink. I'm from South India, so I can also give you a taste of how the culture works here. I'm also very outgoing, so we are sure to have a good time :) Hoping to hear from you soon.
