Hi there! Im looking for a room when my current lease ends at the end of August. Will be looking in either south brisbane/ west end area or Morningside/ bulimba area (cannot move earlier than mid-August). I don't smoke, and although I love any and all pets I do not have any of my own (will happily join in and pet sit yours if you have any!) I enjoy a movie night or a quiet drink together every so often but do like my own space. Not a huge party person so you can be assured you'll be able to keep your peace. I am an ex-chef so I love cooking for myself and others if that's your jam, but also totally cool if not! My ideal room is in a 2-3 bedroom flat/ apartment, if possible with my own bathroom (happy to pay extra of course) Ideally looking for only one or two other flatmates, so not in a large sharehouse. I have my own furnishings so unfunished is preferred. I also can contribute household appliances (I believe appliances should be used if they're there) what's mine is available for you to use and hopefully vice versa with a level of respect and cleanliness obviously. I also play basketball and netball and like to go for morning walks so I am usually out of the house for pretty long days during the week. In saying that, I am also understanding of people wanting their own space and quiet and will keep to myself when required / when I’ve had a really big week. I also love to crochet, go to the beach, watch live music and get out and about for my walks / sports. I tend to cook for a few days at once so I don’t spend a heap of time in the kitchen every day, I also am quick to clean and pack things away so it is like I was never there. I am one of 5 kids, so I am a bit used to a busy household and working with / around other peoples schedules for kitchen time or waiting for the shower etc. and of course very respectful of communal spaces and keeping them nice for everyone. As I work in the city and sometimes work long hours I do appreciate being close to public transport. And, like everyone I think, enjoy when there are shops / restaurants conveniently close to home. I have some furniture which I can take or leave so am flexible with furnishings and room size. I have lived in share houses for a few years now, but am currently back at home after moving back to Brisbane so I am flexible with moving in time but happy to move in soon! Also would love a long lease, preferably 12 months.
