Hey!

I’m moving up to Brisbane from Melbourne for my masters in June and need a place to set myself up. I’m studying conservation science at UQ and will need to live somewhere that makes it easy to get to Saint Lucia :) open to any suburbs.

As I’ll be studying, I’m looking for a house that’s easy going, respectful, and tidy. I largely keep to myself and am pretty quiet but I am always keen to socialise with the people I’m living with! Just not looking for party vibes, guests every day of the week, late night noise, that sort of thing. Mutual respect for the house is also important to me and I like to keep common areas tidy. I will likely spend a bit of time in the kitchen, but I always keep it clean.

I’ll be working part time either in disability support or in hospo (likely cafe work) so I shouldn’t be causing any disruption at night. I don’t have any major preferences for housemates in terms of gender/age or anything like that. I do ask that you’re queer friendly though. I’d prefer to live with non smokers but as long as it’s kept outside and cleaned up it’s no big deal :) I’m not a huge dog person but don’t have any issue at all if you have one. Just don’t be offended if I’m not befriending your dog haha. Otherwise, I’m a big animal person.

In terms of the house, I don’t have too many requests either. Shared bathroom is fine. Furnished or unfurnished is fine. Prefer AC but not a requirement as such. I will have my car so I do need somewhere to park it. Ideally on the property but street parking is fine as long as it’s relatively safe.

I’ll be needing to move in anywhere between June 1 and June 20. A little earlier is ok too for the right place! Let me know what works for you. My budget is about $250 a week bills included or else a little less if bills aren’t included. I would really prefer something around the $200-230 mark though.
