Hey! We're a young couple who loves to play video games, go out and be social. We're clean, enjoy cooking and love animals (but have none of our own). I'm working casually and will be returning to uni in a few months, so we are looking for a place where we can hang out during the day, binge watch some netflix or make some cookies. We don't mind a bit of housemate interaction but respect privacy of others. Bonus points for a dishwasher, heating and aircon. We come with our own bedroom furniture so we're flexible about furnishing. Slide into our dms ;)
Hi! My name is Kalinda (Kally, please) and I'm going to be moving from Townsville to Melbourne in June. I'm enrolled in a Bachelor of Creative Arts at La Trobe University, and work part time in retail, and also as editor/journalist for a sports website. Now that the boring stuff's out of the way, here's a bit about me :) As I'm moving across the country, I only know a handful of people in Melbourne, so I'm hoping to find housemates that I can be friends with as well, but I'm also respectful of your space and won't constantly pester you to hang out with me. I'm an artistic, creative person, and I love writing (especially novels) and reading. I'm a very chill person, who prefers low-key hangouts to going out on the town. I don't do drugs or smoke, and only drink occasionally (that's not to say I'm judgemental, because I'm not. You do you). I also love sports and gaming, but I won't be in-your-face about it (unless you also like sports and/or gaming, in which case we will become best friends). I'm an animal lover, and I come with a 1yo Border Collie named Kida, and a ragdoll/tortoiseshell kitten named Violet. Both are toilet trained and very affectionate (not especially good guard-pets, as they love everyone, though Kida will bark if someone she doesn't know comes too close to the fence). Kida is very well trained, yet very energetic as she's still a puppy, so she's a strictly-outdoor dog. -Side note: I'm from a small, relatively right-winged town in North Queensland. Please don't judge me on this. I may not be thoroughly educated on many issues, but I'm very willing to learn, and I'm sensitive and empathetic :) If you're LGBTQ+, vegan, POC, etc. I am 100% on your side, and would be honoured to be your housemate :)
Hi, I'm Nate, quiet and tidy, can cook and bake, like to play board games and the keyboard (but don't worry, I can plug in headphones and only I have to listen to myself play)
I'm easygoing, reliable and love a good conversation. Outside of my full time working hours working in facilities management, I play guitar, love running/hiking and exploring new places. In summer I pretty much spend most of my spare time at the beach. I like to keep busy, am a non smoker and drink socially only.
Both studying at La Trobe, 2 clean and social guys who like to be around fun loving people who are accepting of people different or the same as them, not looking for party animals who are going to be banging on the door in the am to get in every weekend maybe once a month is okay). We both work part time and have relatively stable rosters but they sometimes change up a bit in the holidays. We have been looking solo for 2 months now but have found the market is too competitive for students atm with a lot of full time workers or families taking the leases we're applying for, we thought this might be worth trying. Drop us a message to find out more about us :)
Hi there! I have spent last two years travelling in Australia and few Asian countries, I decided to go back to study (nursing), so I'm a full time student and part-time worker (health). I'm very easygoing and tidy Italian guy looking for decent place (6 to 12 months..) and great people to have a chat with if wanted, but mindful of others space. I lived with a vast variety of different people from different countries, I like to respect others beliefs and lifestyles as I like to be respected for what I am. I shared houses for quite long time, I love music (I love buy my records), cinema and cooking, I eat everything, but I'm practically vegetarian, I lived with vegetarians and we often eat and cook together, I generally cook my stuff though. I like wines and try new beers, I find Australian handcrafted one pretty good! At moment I don't have a tremendous budget for living (but I'm always in time with bills) and finding a place cheap or with expenses included would be awesome! If you feel like, say Hi;))
23 year old marketing professional looking for a quiet place to live in the northern burbs. I normally find myself out for brunch, at the gym or at work, but when at home I enjoy my own space as much as I love being social.
We have just secured a beautiful home in leafy Ivanhoe East. The house is a 4-bedroom house and we have one more room available. The room is medium sized (3.2m x 2.8m) with a built in robe and is unfurnished. The room is $180 per week and the bills (electricity, gas, water, internet) are split evenly. The rent is paid 1 month in advance to the real estate agent so you would need to pay 4 weeks rent AND a 4-week bond by the date you move in. ABOUT THE HOUSE: There are 2 main bathrooms so you would only have to share your bathroom with 1 other person. There is plenty of living space (2 large living areas) and a nice kitchen with plenty of cupboard space, gas top cooking, dishwasher and a meals area. The house has a nice big backyard that is easy to maintain and an outdoor entertaining area as well. The house has also has ducted heating and air-conditioning. PARKING: There is a DOUBLE garage and a driveway so plenty of parking available however the house is also located on a quiet street (among beautiful homes!). If you rely on public transport, the station is approx 10-minute walk away. FURNITURE: We have some (fridge, washing machine, lounge, homewares/decor) however there would be room for some of yours too (if you have any) for things like a dining table, outdoor table set, dryer and also another fridge as we would want 1 fridge shared per 2 people. The furniture pictured in the photos is not ours and the photos are taken from the real estate listing- we don't have any of our own yet as we don't move in until the 17th March HOUSE RULES/ SHARE HOUSE ETIQUETTE: There will be a house kitty, which we each put $5 in per week to purchase communal supplies such as toilet paper and cleaning supplies. There will also be a weekly rotating cleaning roster which ensures that jobs are shared evenly whilst keeping the house nice and clean :) We aren’t looking to create a “party” house but casual drinks on weekends with friends is fine/ so is the occasional party- we just wouldn’t want you to be throwing raging parties every weekend! ABOUT YOU: Looking for open-minded individuals who enjoy North side living. Someone around our age (e.g mid 20’s to late 30’s) that has experience in share house living. Either working or studying (or both!) with stable income. Must LOVE animals as you will be sharing the house with some who are treated as part of the family ☺ We want sociable people who are happy to share a glass of wine or cup of tea together when we cross paths however still independent with their own lives and respectful of privacy. It would be nice to have communal dinner together with Netflix or board games occasionally (obviously when time permits/schedules align!). Basically we are looking for fun, friendly, clean and respectful person who wants to create a HOME (rather than a ‘rooming’ house)- we want an atmosphere where we look out for each other as a share house family :) Non smokers, no couples and we aren't permitted to take any extra pets on the lease sorry. If you are allergic to dogs or cats- this house isn't the house for you. Would require you to be approved by the real estate agent as an approved tenant as well so you would need references.
My current roomie Hayley and I are looking for 1-2 other people to start a new share house with in the Inner North East! (All to have private rooms) About you: Looking for young people (e.g 23 – 35 years) who have experience in share house living. We want sociable people who are happy to share a glass of wine or cup of tea together when we cross paths however still independent with their own lives and respectful of privacy. It would be nice to have communal dinner together with Netflix or board games occasionally (obviously when time permits/schedules align!). Looking for open-minded individuals who enjoy North side living that keep communal areas clean (At our current place we have a rotating cleaning roster and a house kitty for buying cleaning products- we would be establishing this at the new place too). We aren’t looking to create a “party” house but casual drinks on weekends with friends is fine/ so is the occasional party- we just wouldn’t want you to be throwing raging parties every weekend. We are looking for people that LOVE animals as we have 3 TINY pets (please see description below). About the potential house: We are looking at 3 - 4 bedroom places – 3 bedroom places no higher than $570 total per week and 4 bedroom places no higher than $750 total per week. Splitting the rent would depend on the features of the room (e.g a master bedroom with ensuite would be more). We’re ideally looking for houses (not apartments) as we want a backyard and we would be starting a veggie patch. Also we both have cars so we are looking at places that have ample space for off street/ driveway parking. We have a lot of furniture (e.g fridge, washing machine, lounge, lots of homewares) but there would be room for some of your stuff (if you have any) as we can keep ours in storage if need be. However you would need to supply furniture for your own bedroom. About us: Liv: 26, over 6 years experience in share house living. Runs programs for adults with intellectual disabilities (Mon- Fri) whilst studying a Bachelor of Nutrition (so is very busy!). Animal obsessed, die hard triple J listener that enjoys catching live music and can make a sweet playlist. Clean freak and very house proud. Enjoys food festivals/markets, roof top beverages, a good day trip to explore all of the beautiful walks/parks that Melbourne has to offer! Would probably clash with strong right wings! Hayley: 23, dental nurse, originally from Bendigo. Also loves animals. Hippie that enjoys live music, Netflix binges, online shopping, bush doofs and checking out new bars/cafes in Melbourne! THE PETS; Boo & Ruby are two tiny indoor dogs that you could fit in one handbag however not the type that "yap", both are very quiet and well behaved. They are very clean dogs that attend the dog groomer every 6 weeks. Both are very friendly dogs that love lap cuddles however are well exercised and walked around 5km every day! They win absolutely everyone ever. Dexter is quite a reserved cat who loves dogs but unfortunately is petrified of cats so we are not in a position to take on another cat- sorry :( If you think that we would be people you would get along with, please get in touch! Our move date is flexible- we just need to give 4 weeks notice so wouldn't want to get stuck paying double rent for too long! Cheers :)
I'm clean, tidy, VERY quiet and respectful of people's space. I am happy to be sociable and have a drink but I'll also respect people's right to be on their own. I work full time in local government and exercise a lot so I won't be at the house much. I am allergic to cats so I'm sorry I can't live with you if you have one! Ideally looking for a room with ensuite but happy to compromise for the right fit :)
Hi! I'm french but I actually live in Spain for 8 years now. I'm working on a PhD in Political Studies and as a french teacher as well. I'm coming to Melbourne to study at La Trobe University and to conduct some of my PhD fieldwork. I've shared flats since I was 18 and I enjoy to have a good chat and laugh with nice and interesting people, but I also like to have my own space to study or listen music. I'm not really into sports but at least I try to keep fit. I do love music (to play and listen), movies and books. I really love pets (both cats and dogs) but I don't have one of my own.

We have already lived in a shared house in Melbourne and the experience was great. If you have anything that fits our criteria please do not hesitate to send us a message!

Hi I am a working female who is reliable and respectable. I am an independent person but do enjoy a chat as I think it helps when sharing, build up a little rapport. I always pay my bills on time including rent. I'm mostly vegetarian that includes non smoker, non drinker and a no drugs person. I've always been a clean person, house trained so I respect the home I live in. It's nice to have pride in the place you make your home. I enjoy seeing a movie, out for a meal, yoga and outdoors to clear my head after work. Grew up in country Vic so I still have friends and family I visit and I'd be away some weekends. If any of my blog resonates drop me a line.
I recently just got a graduate nursing position with Austin health which involves doing 8 shifts a fortnight and I would be around the house or visiting friends when I am not working. I have been living in share houses all through uni and I like to think I am an easy going person but I do like to keep things clean. I have been a vegetarian for years now but would be willing to cook meals with people. I have a beautiful dog called Bee who is a Border Collie, so I would prefer a house that has a backyard.
My name is Jamine and I am looking for a new long term home. A place that is important to me with flatmates I care about. :) I have been in few share houses since arriving in Melbourne 13 years ago (French-Tunisian originally and now Australian). I am definitely house trained, tidy, respectful and fun with a capacity for deep conversation too. I like getting to know the people I live with. Some of my best friends are ex-flatmates. I enjoy time alone as much as time with others. I live a beautiful life with meditation practice, dancing, working as a psychotherapist, locuming as a social worker, improv theatre, swimming almost everyday and attending some workshops or gigs. I would love to meet you all by coming in for an interview. Jamine :)

I'm musical, artistic and easy going. I like my own space but I'd also love to have housemates I can socialise with, maybe occasionally share meals and hang out. I'm fun loving and friendly. I'm also very honest with the people in my life. When it comes to conflicts or interpersonal issues, I like to sit down and talk it out like adults in order to find a mutually agreeable solution. I'm a non-judgemental person, and I try to keep an open mind. I'd love to live with people who have a similar approach to life. I'm generally tidy and organised but I'm not too uptight about it. I like to live in colourful, cosy places.
I'm from India. I am used to Flat-sharing. I'm neat, tidy guy. can help with house-hold chores. Will love to help you in cooking (Considering, you won't kill me if i make mistakes). I would love to play with your pet, if you have one, but if you don't, it's alright. Very helpful and have little bit of handsomeness from my papa.. Would love to hear from you! :)
Hi, I’m Mathew, 35 and I study Aerospace Engineering at RMIT University. I’m very clean and tidy, respectful of privacy, trustworthy and do my share of the housework along with paying bills on time. I’m friendly, social and always up for a chat. My course is a handful, so I tend to be on the quiet side when at home. I’m looking for a place within 30mins of the city, with a large bedroom for all of my stuff. It must be near public transport. My interests tend towards the geeky side of things, I am very good with computers and can always lend a hand with anyone’s IT troubles. Non smoker, no drugs, don’t drink. Looking to move around Easter time, preferably earlier. Bond and first months rent ready to go!
Hey! I'm a 24 yo bloke working full-time as a carpenter as well as building up my own business, and I do a fair bit of volunteer time in the entertainment industry. I've been out of home for a few years now, done the share house thing for a bit so I know the drill, happy to help with housework etc etc. I'm a bit of a workaholic, so I like having my own space to crash, but I'm totally up for social times as well. I have a cat, he's an adorable 5yo ginger short hair, very affectionate! As far as I know good with other animals, he definitely makes friends wherever he goes! I'm looking for some humans to share a house. Non-smokers preferred, but ok as long as you smoke outside. Pets ok, if you're keen shoot me a message and we can go from there! Also looking at joining someone else's share house if possible. Looking to move pretty much as soon as I can, and looking for long-term like at least 12 months, but I'm easy. Any other questions let me know!
Hi! Due to a challenging relationship gotta move out. Looking for a rather quiet room with backyard for my awesome dogger. I work at a charity in Kew and drive. Flexible moving date, at least 4 months stay required. I love nature, gardening, cooking, watching movies. Cheers Ana
I'm a pretty easygoing person who likes to spend my free time keeping fit, going out exploring new places to eat or just watching Netflix. I'm also a postgraduate student at Melbourne Uni, so I tend to work and study and am pretty quiet during the week. Ideally, I'm looking for someone with a similar lifestyle and would enjoy sharing the occasional meal together. I don't have many guests over as I prefer my home to be a quiet place to relax and calm down.
I'm happy, easy going and very clean :-) love to make a house feel like a home and undertake any extra work to keep a property looking good! I love watching FRIENDS, cooking, listening to 80s music, watching videos of dogs on YouTube and going on adventures! I am an experienced renter wishing to live closer to my work, preferably somewhere leafy and peaceful like Eltham or Greensborough as I love nature 😊✌🏻️🍃 I don't smoke, I'm respectful of others and very much enjoy being independent. I'm also somewhat flexible with my move date.
