I have just moved to Canberra from a small town in the Snowy Mountains NSW and need to find a pet friendly place for me and my two pets. I have lived with housemates for 10 years - from many walks of life. I'm mature, reliable and laid-back. I am very self aware and responsible. I have a full time job in Canberra. I like wine, skiing, mountain bike riding, reading and movies. In summer I love getting outside most days doing something in the mountains or rivers and lakes with my dog Mack. A bit about my pets - one is a Tabby cat named Molly (3 years old), she's been an indoor and outdoor cat and is fine living with dogs and generally keeps to herself. The other is a Kelpie x Blue Heeler dog named Mack (6 years old), he is extremely intelligent and has a gorgeous temperament. He is great with kids and adults, cats and other dogs. My animals are well trained (as much as a cat can be) and are very well socialised with other people and other pets - including horses, chickens, goats etc. We have lived in suburbs and on farms. I've moved them around the country so we are all well travelled and easily adaptable.
I'm a 46 year old professional from Sydney working for a company in Braddon. I'm planning to stay only 4 nights as I will be travelling to back to Sydney for the weekend.
Hi, I’m a student from Malaysia looking for a place to stay in Canberra for one month. I’m tidy and easy-going and I also respect your personal space. I go to the gym but also enjoy reading at home or chilling with friends over a cup of coffee or beer.
I'm a responsible, easy going Engineer and really I'm just hoping my future housemates don't leave all of the housework to me. I'm single, come with the most adorable little rag-doll cat you'll ever see and I mostly spend my spare time relaxing with Netflix, movies and games. I'm happy to cook & socialise as well, although I generally keep to myself.
Clean, quiet, Post-grad student, Always out of the house, I’m looking for a place to move into around the end of July. I’m an early 20s postgrad Politics student at ANU. Really keen for a nice, calm and peaceful place where I can feel comfortable living in. I’ve moved out of home and interstate to Canberra to finish off my degree. I’m share-house trained, straightforward and easy going. My hobbies include eating out, exploring the world, reading, photography and film. Please don't hesitate to flick me an email if you are interested in becoming my share-house room mate. Thats all from me
Clean to a fault, keep to myself, but very friendly, when I'm listening to something it's on headphones, I am a bar manager so I leave in the afternoon and come back at around 6 AM most days so the chances of you seeing me are rare.
25 year-old recent graduate working fulltime. Looking for a place for myself and my very friendly indoor cat Cairo, preferably within the inner-north or Belconnen areas. I like to get out of the house on weekends and keep pretty quiet during the week. I like living with housemates that want to get to know each other, but am conscious of the need for downtime. Always on time with bills/rent etc.
I completed my undergrad from Malaysia, after that I went back to my home country Bangladesh where I worked for a while before deciding to pursue my Masters program at ANU. I have always loved to hangout with people from different cultural backgrounds, more like a easy going person but also sometimes need my own personal space. Not a clean freak but quite a clean and a tidy person.
I'm a nice guy, full time student studying a postgraduate degree at ANU, looking for a place to stay until 2020. I'm moving from Sydney to Canberra in July and hoping to find a place ASAP. I speak Indonesian and a bit of Spanish, I like reading books, running and hanging out when I have the time. I'm pretty easy going but I also like my personal space during exam periods. I don't mind living with smokers but I'm not one myself. I don't really drink but I don't mind the occasional with mates. The ideal place would be close to ANU, under $200 per week, with easy going and responsible people - men or women doesn't matter too much. If you've read this far and think it might work send me a message. Cheers :)
We are a hardworking, sociable couple. Tristan is an engineer and I am a full time 4th year social work student with two part time jobs. We have been trying to find a place of our own but every inspection we go to there's 15-30 people and we never get selected when we apply. We have to move on the 30th as the house we are currently living in has been sold, this has all been causing us a lot of stress. We have now rented a storage locker and have stored most of our belongings in there, we will accept basically anything at this point. We would like something short term since we intend to keep applying for a place of our own, but we also have no idea how long it will take to find something so committing to be out by a certain day would be undesirable as well. Neither of us are party animals or smokers. We are pretty new to Canberra so this could be a good opportunity to meet new people and make friends. In Darwin we really enjoyed game nights with friends and going out for trivia so ideally it would be cool to end up living with someone who may be interested in doing those things as well :) We are not fussed whether the room is furnished or not as we have a bed but it will easily fit in storage
Hi future housemates, My name is Richard, I'm 29 and working full-time in the APS. I'm very laid back and sociable so get along with just about anyone. I keep pretty active, used to be a keen rower and now have a go at just about anything to stop going stir crazy! I've lived in share houses before so I'm happy living with housemates, doing my bit around the house, chilling out at home and respecting each other's space. I am neat and tidy, non smoker, social drinker but definitely not a huge party animal. Looking for a larger room as I have a King sized bed to accommodate my height.
I have recently accepted a role in Project Management in Construction,Canberra. I commence the end of June 2018. Looking to room with similar aged people. I enjoy being active. I don't know anyone in ACT so I would like to get to know my roommates socially. I enjoy NRL, Oztag, gym, movies and the odd Whiskey & BBQ.
I work full time as admin support/receptionist at a psychology firm. I am also a qualified makeup artist and do occasion weddings/formals on weekends. In my spare time I like to catch up with friends, go to the gym, cook and clean.
Hey! I'm Claire and I'd say I'm a really easy going person who is tidy, organised, friendly and social, but also respects personal space. I love being outdoors, travelling and playing with animals. I'm a full time uni student and work part time and am looking for a place somewhere near the city and the ANU campus.
Hello! I am a recent high school graduate and have just moved to Canberra from Sydney to work here as an Apprentice in the public service for IT. I am of South Korean background and moved to Australia when i was younger. Currently I am staying with my sister while I find a place to move out to. I am very self aware and i actually enjoy cleaning up after self. I also enjoy company and definitely look forward to meeting new people and spending time together but i also understand and appreciate the need for privacy and time alone.
My name is Ahmed and I'm 32 years old. I work as an assistant lecturer/research assistant. At the same time I'm a 3rd year PhD student at ANU, studying molecular biology at JCSMR. I'm a very respectful, quiet, clean, responsible, non-smoking and tidy person. At the weekend, I like to enjoy cooking and sharing my food with my housemates. I have been living in Dickson for the past year. Looking for a room reasonably close to ANU. I'm flexible with the duration of the lease and ready to move as soon as possible.
Hey, I'm hoping to move into an existing place with a friendly, easy going and sociable housemate. I'm looking for a decent sized bedroom, with my own bathroom and car park. I work full time in the APS and study a Master’s part-time at ANU. I'm originally from Perth and moved to Canberra at the start of last year. I’m 25, a non-smoker, pet-free, I don’t take drugs, I won't steal your food from the fridge... all the things you want in a housemate! I’m also very neat and happy to send a photo of my current place. I’ve lived in a number of share houses over the years (with guys and girls), so I’m pretty sociable and easy to live with. I’m a fan of social sport, cooking/eating, casual drinks, music (I come with headphones) and solid TV series (I'm currently watching The Handmaid's Tale, Parks and Recreation and Veep). Sadly my current housemate is moving to Sydney for work, so I'm exploring other options. I'm interested in living around Braddon, Turner, Acton, Reid, or Civic. I'm relatively flexible with move-in dates and am hoping to find a place for 6 months or longer. Please get in touch if you think I’d be a good fit! Thanks, Sam :)
