My name is Tayla and I am a 21 year old from Bombala NSW. I have recently completed a bachelor of nursing degree and have secured a full time position at The Canberra Hospital which is a 12 month contract. I am an easy going and friendly person who loves to socialise but I also enjoy my personal time as well. I don’t have any pets however I love animals and would not mind having any around. I am extremely clean and tidy. I’m looking to find someone or people who are in a similar position and need someone to rent with for 2019.
I work fulltime and study aswell. Im originally from QLD but moved here for work. I'm always busy and like to keep to myself, but will still socialize as I think communication matters while we share a house! I have 2 small birds and am looking for someone who wont mind living with them. I will need an outside area for them and also an inside area, they don't take up alot of space.
I'm fairly quiet but I'm always up for a good board game or card game. I work reception for a physio in the city 4 days a week. I'm not overly active but I do like to do my own thing at the gym or go to a class. I love to show off my cat, Elizabeth. She does not work. She's 13yo and snoozes most of the day. She loves to be around people so having housemates would be really good for her happiness.
My name's Jasmine. I'm 19 originally from the Sunshine Coast and moved to Canberra for work in January. I'm social so always up for a chat but also will respect your privacy. I work full time and also some weekends. I enjoy coming home and having a cheeky bev as well.
Okay so a bit about myself, I have lived in share housing for almost 3 years now, so I definitely know the drill. I’m 19 years old, I work as a dental assistant in Manuka. For fun I like to hang out with friends, eating, movies, drinks all that kinda stuff! I do keep to myself quite a bit when it comes to share houses, just because I’m normally so tired from long hours. So you’ll normally find that I like to be in my room chilling out watching Netflix. I guess what I’m really looking for in a home is just a clean environment to be honest. Xo Lauren
Great house only 15 minute drive to Barton. A huge room and your own bathroom very well maintained and clean. Large backyard with great mountain views and two minute drive to the shops. The house is very clean, has modern furniture, well maintained and has both cooling for summer and gas heating. It also had a massive new solar system for green energy and to help reduce electricity bills.
Hi my dog and I are looking for a place! I am moving to Canberra to start my grad job in February 2019! I'm willing to move in as early as December 2018 though as I know renting will become extremely competitive come Jan/Feb time. I studied at ANU for five years so I'm already very familiar with Canberra. I am quiet and I'm clean. I will look after our common areas e.g. kitchen, bins, it's not a big deal. I'm extremely easy to get along with and have stayed with mates before who can vouch for all this! On weekends I will probably stay in, go on hikes, run errands, and/or brunch. Drinking/partying/being rowdy isn't my thing. If I invite anyone over I will tell you in advance and it will be during the day and not at nighttime. I've been looking at places to stay on Allhomes and Realestate and I'm very interested in renting furnished places in Kingston. The 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms ones are around $600 per week. Somewhere that is close to work, gym, and post-office. I will probably just order groceries off Coles Online so a supermarket being close by isn't necessary. I really want to bring my small dog, Mary, over to Canberra with me so I'm trying to look for a pet-friendly place that will allow dogs. It'll be difficult but I have friends who have found places like that last year AND I am also willing to pay extra. She's small (3.5kg), super friendly, potty-trained, non-shedding, can do like 15 tricks, and loves other dogs. I would like a flatmate who has had some experience with dogs before but that's not necessary (not because I want you to look after my dog, I'll get a dog-sitter for that. Just want to live with someone who will be careful about not accidentally dropping grapes or chocolate or other toxic food items on the floor and other little things like that that only dog owners or those who have had prior experience know more about). I can also make a few trips down to Canberra on weekends in November/December to inspect the properties with my dad who knows a lot about these things. Oh and you can definitely share my Netflix account :) I'll message you my social media accounts (FB and IG).
Originally from Canada I’m very chill don’t really cook much but I do love eating Also, I don’t mind a few social drinks. I work 4 times a week and study 4 times a week so between school and work I’m really busy. I’m a minimalist so I don’t have a lot of stuff.
I am 21 originally from Newcastle but am studying in Canberra. I am clean, tidy, thoughtful and considerate. I am also very chill, friendly, respectful and open! I study music and work a lot so I remain pretty busy but also love to hang out and have fun going to the movies/gigs/beach/shopping etc.
Hey, I’m James, a full-time public servant looking for a place to live in the inner north or south! I’m friendly and social, although respectful of others’ privacy. I usually keep myself busy most evenings and weekends, so often retreat to my room to rest when I’m at home. Always up to hang out or share a drink or two! I’m very clean and organised, so would be hoping to live with others who are the same. Only looking at apartments, preferably modern ones in a newer complex. Would prefer a room with a private bathroom and carspace. Happy to join an existing flatshare or team up to start a new one. Send me a message if you think we might get along!
Hi, I'm Daniel and I work full-time in the public service. I've been living in a 2-person sharehouse in Watson, and lived in a 4-person sharehouse in Braddon previously. WHAT LOCATION I'M LOOKING FOR: I'm looking for a place within walking distance to the Canberra Centre, or somewhere close to a bus stop. THE HOUSE/ROOM I'M LOOKING FOR: The place I'm looking for would ideally have an ensuite, covered parking space, dishwasher, washing machine, and a bedroom with enough space for a queen bed, large desk, and digital piano (not necessary though!). WHEN AND HOW LONG I'M LOOKING TO MOVE: I can move in with a few weeks notice, but am flexible with a move in date. I'm interested in a 12 month lease, but am happy to negotiate. WHAT I CAN BRING: I've got furniture for my room, but can also offer an iron and ironing board, large chest freezer, and some things for the kitchen. If there's anything else you're looking for, let me know and I'll see if I can help too. My ideal housemate/s would be friendly, sociable (but also understanding of personal space), tidy, and of either gender. I believe it's important to have a coffee/beer/dinner every now and then so we wouldn't be complete strangers to each other, but I value me time too! If you'd like to chat or meet up over coffee, let me know. I'm also happy to provide references.
Well, I love video games, music, movies and board games. I’m a pop culture nerd who is looking to move closer to the city. I work most of the day do you prob only see me at night during the week, but weekends I like to go out and have fun. I enjoy being social but respect others privacy.
(Revised 15/11/18) I have a new house-sit through to Christmas 2018 before heading home to Melbourne for the Christmas break - now seeking furnished (must be furnished!) accommodation from early January 2019 to whenever! Interstate mature, female contractor, working in ACT until June 2019 - prefer ensuite or own bathroom but will share a bathroom; rent to include bills preferably. Off-street parking required - will not park my car on the street. Non-smoker (don't wish to share with smokers), very clean, tidy and organised. Location anywhere but not too far north or south! Sometimes social but otherwise a busy life. Don't mind sharing with a cat household.
I’m a really easy going person who likes to socialise every now and than but I also respect everyone’s personal space and privacy. I like a clean and tidy space and clean up after myself. My hobbies includ: going to the gym, drawing/painting, go out on adventures, being out doors, watching youtube/Netflix, listening to music. My career: I am currently working as a beauty therapist as part time.
Hi future flatmates! I'm Courtney and am a student wanting to study in Canberra to be a high school art teacher and another teaching pathway. I currently reside in Ballarat and work at a winery as a waitress/caterer an hour away from where I live. I am wanting/needing to move early January anywhere in Canberra. I am an easy-going, super bubbly person that can have a chat to anyone. I love to sit down and have a joke, eat food and talk about food, and my passions are drawing, painting and leisure roller skating! I love love loooooove my music and have a record player that is open for anyone to use. I clean up after myself and help out with the dishes, and a very smiley social person that will dance anywhere. Yet, you won't hear me stumbling in late drunk because I am a non-drinker. I respect people's privacy and needs for self-time. I also have a partner (in my profile picture) who is living in Canberra on his campus, so it's just me applying to share! But you will see him often and can make friends with him also. Thanks for reading my description! Hope to hear from you
I have been living in share houses for the past 7 years so I have a lot of experience in living with people. I am currently working full time so hoping for somewhere that is quieter during the week but always up for a chat over a meal or glass of wine. I love cooking, hiking, and of course binge watching Netflix. I am a respectful and considerate housemate who enjoys alone time as much as I enjoy socialising.
Hi, I am Hassan. I am interested in teaming up. Currently living in Flynn, ACT. If you are genuinely interested in teaming up or have a room to offer. Please don't hesitate to call or text me. thanks
I'm an outgoing, nice and responsible Colombian that would be working in Colombia's Embassy in Canberra as an intern for six months. I am a Political Scientist and a Professional in Government and Public Affairs, so I love to talk about politics and public service. I am really organized. I love to read and exercise. It's my first time in Australia so I am really excited of getting to know the culture and all the wonderful natural places Australia and Canberra has to offer.
I like to watch football, hockey and rugby match. I love music so much. I'm a very open, easy-going & cool person. I enjoy having few talks and drinks whenever I'm free & also respect others privacy and personal space as I also needed mine at times. A tidy, clean & well-mannered person. Sunday is normally my "Netflix, Chill & Relax" day :D but I don't mind going for a walk if my housemate needed a company. I like to cook but I also like to try new foods. I'm from Malaysia, studied in Brisbane before :) I'm looking opportunity to work part-time as I want to earn extra pocket money.
Hi I'm Ethan, I am a neat person who generally doesn't say much. I enjoy playing video games and rock climbing. I recently started a new job in Canberra but have lived in the region for my whole life. I am an electrician so if there are any electrical issues around the house I can probably sort them out.
I'm a lawyer (formerly a Canberra local but currently overseas) coming to Canberra for a 3 month work stint. I've lived in a lot of sharehouses and think I make a good housemate; I'm tidy, quiet and will be working weekdays and probably away every other weekend. I only need a place until mid-Feb but am flexible about location (preferably south side or city for an easy commute to Tuggeranong)! I'm interested in either a self-contained apartment/granny flat or a room in a sharehouse with its own bathroom. I look forward to hearing from you :)
Hey everyone, I m an airline pilot moving from Melbourne to Canberra at the end of the month, looking for a place preferably close to the airport.. I will spend some nights away for work and work shift work. I would prefer an ensuite if possible. I am easy going, don't mind cooking, and get along with anyone. Enjoy a quiet night in watching Netflix and talking crap just as much as going out and seeing a movie. hobbies include ultimate frisbee, car racing, water-skiing, motorbikes and hanging with friends
My name is Annie I am 24yrs old and I am currently on exchange in Singapore. I will be returning in early December to complete my final year of law school at the ANU. I also volunteer at the Kimberly Community Legal Service and work as a cook at the Canberra Food Cooperative. I am mostly vegetarian but I have been flexible in Singapore, so I could try the local dishes. I love food, and really enjoy cooking for people. As it will be my final year, I would appreciate the opportunity to live close to the uni and my work. I am mostly quiet and tidy but I do love to have a beer, listen to local music and chat too. I've even made a couple of home brews over the years, but no longer have access to the equipment. If there is anything else you would like to know about me, please don't hesitate to get in touch. I am always happy to video call too. Best, Annie
We are two masters students graduating from ANU and excited to start our work lives! We are both easy going and love socialising. We are respectful towards others, their culture, privacy, and property. We pay all our bills on time and are neat and tidy. Our ideal Friday night is binge watching with tubs of popcorn or clubbing outdoors. We have lived in share houses before and are up for it again or for a whole property on rent. Open to long-term contracts and keen to discuss more!
I’m an Executive Assistant at the ANU and I’m either at work or the gym late most days. I love a clean home where I can relax and I actually enjoy cleaning! I can’t cook to save my life so I order all of my meals already made (don’t judge!). My partying days are behind me but I do enjoy meeting new people and having a good d&m and a laugh. I’m respectful and trustworthy and hope the same from my housemates. I’m hoping to find some lovely people to move in with who are positive and happy and great to be around.
I'm currently working full time in IT and love it! I'm respectful of boundaries but always up for a chat. These days I'm pretty quiet but still like socializing every now and again. I'm into cars, I like playing PS4 and I'm a Scotch Whiskey connoisseur.
Looking for inner North share house for shorter term 3 - 6 months, with possible extension. I work full time Monday - Friday, and keep busy with dance classes/training on weeknights. On the quieter side but enjoy a chat. Clean, tidy and responsible.
Moving to Canberra for a summer internship from Newcastle, so will be working full-time in the city. Ideally looking to sub-let an entire place, looking after the place while they're away over the break. It'd be great to find somewhere within walking/cycling/bus to the city, as well as being close to some cool venues for food and wine! I'm neat, clean and tidy and very easy going! Young, male full time student from the Newcastle/Hunter region. During the week, I'll relax either by watching Netflix or listening to music. Hoping to explore what the area has to offer over the weekends!
