Current landlord has decided to sell their house, so looking for somewhere new to live. I am a 23-year-old Law student at UC; I also work part time. So busy during the semester, but have a tendency always to find the time for a drink and chat. I am hoping to move into a house with good people who enjoy each others company, but at the same time don't live on top of each other.
One of our housemates is leaving shortly and we are looking for someone to take their place. The room is $150 per week (Paid monthly, making it calculate to $650 a month). Share house with 3 humans and 1 dog. The bedroom available has a built in robe and is large enough for a queen size bed, desk and small bookcase. Window overlooks shaded garden. The rest of the house is furnished but plenty of space for extra furniture. Plenty of extra cupboard space available throughout the house. Fast internet available (80/20) You will be sharing a bathroom and separate toilet with two of the other housemates. Large kitchen space, shared crockery and utensils. Plenty of off street parking available. Rent is due monthly by the 12th - $650 per month. Bond is $650. Gas and electricity bills are split 4 ways. We don't pay water. Smoking outside only. University of Canberra is a short drive away or a slightly longer ride. Bus stop is a short walk away, as is the shops.
Quiet, relativity neat and courteous individual looking for a quiet house to rent for extended stay.
Large home with unlimited broadband WiFi, Foxtel. Close walking distance to local shops, public transport and University of Canberra. Bedroom available is large with built-in-robes, carpeted and window blinds. You will need your own bed and bedding. BBQ area out back with shaded table and chairs. Perfect for either Uni students or workers being superbly located.
Hi, I'm a friendly, tidy, and considerate 21 year old student looking for a sharehouse in the ACT. The lease to my current place (that I've rented for three years) is ending in early January but I'd love to move sometime this month before the Christmas rush, so I'm quite flexible on dates. I'm often out and about either with uni or work but in my spare time I enjoy baking, cycling, second hand shopping, board games, hiking, and reading. I currently don't drive which is good for the flexibility of an extra car space for guests and other housemates!! However, I do ride a bike and will need a safe place to keep it.
I'm neat, tidy and can make some mean banana bread. Full time student studying to become a highschool teacher!
The house is located within walking distance to UC, Institute of Sport, Institute of Technology (Bruce campus); 10 minutes of driving to ANU, City center, Australian Catholic University. Kaleen Coles is within the walking distance. Renovated kitchen and bathroom. Ducted gas heating. Unlimited internet included in rent. Spacious backyard with veranda and barbecue. The room and the house are fully furnished: new refrigirator, washing machine, etc. The room is in the new part of the house, build five years ago. It has its own bathroom, build-in-robes, double bed, double glazed spacious window looking in the garden, woolen carpet and a lock. The owners of the house moved overseas due to the work.
Hi guys, My Name is Leah i am a 27yr old Chef. I have been a chef for the past 11 years and still enjoy cooking at home. I currently live in Sydney but am looking to move down to Canberra in the new year. I will be coming along with my fur baby also known as Zeus. He is 2 years old and an adorable (Large) labrador x mastiff. I am very outgoing and love going out for random activities but also love plonking in front of the tv after work and watching netflix for a good few hours. I play a lot of sport so will be finding a Soccer team and also AFL team once i get to Canberra. I enjoy hanging out with mates and going for beers. I am a clean person and am prepared to help out where/when needed. I am after some like minded people who are down to earth and keen for a beer every now and then. If there is anything else you would like to know about me please feel free to contact me with any questions. Look forward to hearing from you. Cheers Leah
We both love reading, animals, basketball, swimming, the odd social drink, movie nights and baking. Looking for easy going people to live with. Will be studying and working part time. $150 each or a little bit more providing utilities are included.
The property is in a quiet street opposite a reserve. All rooms have large windows and a view of the garden outside. The house is quiet, relaxing and very chilled out. The house has ducted heating and evaporative cooling in all rooms for winter/summer. The bedrooms are furnished with linen and towels are provided. The only house rules are that shoes are not to be worn inside the house, and to respect other people’s privacy and space. I do enjoy a chat with my house guests and to share a wine, cooking and meals. Happy to go walking and exercise together, or out socially! But I am also happy for housemates who want to keep to themselves. There is a large backyard and large vegetable garden if you are interested in growing your own food. Outdoor Storage space is also available as well as undercover space for parking bikes or motorbikes. A desk for study can be arranged if needed. The house is a short walk to local shops where there is a supermarket, chemist, cafe, take away, hairdresser, dentist and service station. It is also a short distance also to Bruce Stadium, the AIS and University Canberra (UC).
Hi! I’m looking for a room in a share house while working and starting post-grad study next year. I would love to find a place that is available in January 2017, but for the right share house I’m happy to be flexible. I’m friendly, respectful, reliable, and clean and tidy. I’m pretty quiet, so I’m not looking to move into a party house, but I’m easy to get along with, and I’m looking forward to hanging out with my future housemates!
I have studied in quite a few places, including Hong Kong, Australia and the United States; such experiences have made me cosmopolitan. I am also a tiny person and willing to help out whenever I can :-) Looking forward to sharing a house with others and creating a happy living environment together!
Hi! I am 25, single and looking for somewhere to live in Canberra. I've been renting for the past four years in Canberra but my lease is ending shortly. I work 7am - 4pm, five days a week and when I am at home I enjoy relaxing and unwinding. I am away most weekends with sporting commitments.
Looking to see what currently available and if there are some people out there roughly around my age looking for a room mate! Okay to move out at any time, just trying to find the right people to live with. Prefer to have the master bedroom with ensuite if possible as I don't particularly like sharing bathrooms which comes from previous times with room mates being grubs (the worst!) Not looking to live too far away from the city or Belconnen and not looking to live on the Southside either, inner south is okay but nothing further (sorry peeps) I work full time as a PA and enjoy sports, online gaming, music, gigs, hanging out at home and good food and drink! I am in a relationship and would like to live together but I know not all places have space for couples but keen to see what's available if not that's totally cool! Please feel free to message me if I suit what you are looking for in a flat mate :)
I am friendly, neat and quiet mature age student (part time) looking for reasonably priced share house arrangement for 2017. After many years in Sydney and overseas I am returning to Canberra to be closer to my family, start a new job (4 days a week) in January and continue my studies. I am not much of socialiser but I am reliable when it comes to paying rent (and other household costs) and helping out with the maintenance of house. I prefer living in long-term sharing set-ups and I have been living with my current flatmates for the last 3 years and we have all been on good terms. I am sad to leave Sydney but I am hopeful and thinking positively about new prospects in the ACT.
Close to shops, bus stop and walking distance from university of Canberra!! The house is very large and spacious, there is a shared bathroom for the room available. Lovely little garden/outdoor space. The bond above is not entirely accurate because it's based on the total house not the rent we all pay. The bond is $614.
A wonderful large share house with close proximity to transport, local shop and school. The room is spacious with built-in wardrobe. The transport include one bus to City (near ANU) and one bus to Belconnen (10 minutes to University of Canberra). The internet is VDSL2 and its fast. Common areas set up with fridges, utensils, crockery, cutlery, tables and more. Short or long term lease available Available Sunday 30 October 2016.
1 room available in a beautiful town house at Lawson near University of Canberra. You will be staying with young couple. The house has 3 rooms and 3 toilets so you will be using alone the one toilet.. The house is fully furnished. The rent is $250 including all bills.
Hi I am looking for one person (over 30) to share a three bedroom house with me (female). There are two bathrooms, a big double garage and two living areas so there is plenty of space. You will have the main bedroom with ensuite and a spot in the garage. I have some furniture but not enough to fill two living areas so you are welcome to bring yours and make the place really feel like your own. I work regular Mon-Fri hours. I'm easy going, neat, tidy and considerate, had plenty of practice sharing. I generally lead a healthy lifestyle. Am into sport. Like food and wine. Split bills - gas and electricity. Gas heating. Shopping centre close by. Backs onto parkland with cycle pathway. Grassy backyard Small front courtyard quiet street Bus stop is about 200m away Two people max in house

Hey guys, I have recently graduated and have fortunately secured a 1 year grad program in canberra. I'm originally from the Sydney. Love to cook and bake, plus like being physically fit. So I guess gym is my forte. My grad program starts end of this month (october). Hit me up with a message if your interested.
Hey all, I am a pretty going person. Not overly fussed about the noise. I do my fare share of the cleaning and maintenance in the house. Moved to Canberra to study at the ANU. I am working part-time at the ANU as well. Originally an expat kid, grew up in Japan and lived all over Asia/Australia. Currently learning Arabic, but can speak few other languages as well. I love the outdoors, and I go hiking almost every second weekend. I don't mind pets, so that's a non-issue for me. Send me a message if you have place. Cheers
I'm a bubbly and friendly person who is easy to get along with. I keep to myself usually and work Monday to Friday as well as spending time with my friends so, I don't spend a huge amount of time at home. If we make friends though, I would be happy to cook dinner for everyone occasionally and have a drink or two together. I'm clean, tidy and respectful. I'm well organised and am able to work in with the needs of others (eg. Bathroom schedules etc, if required). I'm moving into a share house to save myself some money, as I have been living by myself for a while now. I aim to save and travel or buy my own place. Please note - although I am a smoker, it's generally a social occurrence. Im respectful of others wishes, I don't smoke inside and will only smoke outside the house on occasion if it is okay with others. If not, I can easily go without. It isn't a deal breaker for me.
I'm a clean and tidy young professional that is looking for a decent place to live. Pretty relaxed and quiet usually but knows how to have a good time. I work a 10/4 roster and when I'm not at work I'm usually heading off on an adventure with some crew. Love fishing and diving and the outdoors. Definitely interested in a longer lease/stay after getting to know housemates. .
Relaxed 22 year old male with a naturally happy disposition seeking place to stay while studying primary school teaching for 4-5 years Into video games, movies and gym, always up for a chat or an impromptu adventure, ideally looking for a place I can feel at home and enjoy the company of the people I am staying with, love standing around having a good yarn about nothing and everything - I don't smoke and I drink occasionally I enjoy boxing for fitness/fun, am a mediocre table tennis and billiards player but make up for lack of skill with enthusiasm as I do with all aspects of life Am an experienced cook and live a clean minimalist lifestyle I have my own car and don't mind driving for a late night kebab run love animals so any home with pets would be well received!
Hi! I'm looking for a flat mate who is also looking for a friend. I am a young professional student who works full time and is fairly new to the area. I'm a tidy person who respects others privacy but am always up for a laugh and to hang out :)
I am a 27 year old girl who is social but at the same time likes a little bit of privacy. I am very responsible as a person and helpful as well. I do know how to cook, clean and keep my stuffs tidy. I am coming to the University of Canberra for my further studies early next year.
A little lowdown about me! I'm 26, easy going, friendly and a bit funny. Originally from Newcastle, England, I've been living in Australia since 2014. I've travelled the East Coast and lived in the outback for 16 months, but planted my roots in Canberra since February where I've been lucky enough to be sponsored as a permanent resident. For work, I spend my days entertaining the youth of today in early childhood education. Socialising and road trips are two things that make me very happy. My friendship circle here is so diverse but it's great and we're always keen to expand! I do enjoy a cup of tea in the mornings so as long as we have a kettle I'll be happy. I'm a pretty clean person and I would expect whoever I'm living with to have the same respect in regards to keeping a place tidy. I think communication plays a huge role in a house share, I feel that by living in a shared house you need to be open and honest about any issues that may arise to make living a happy life even easier :) I'm a socialiable and pretty happy person so I would love to live with someone who isn't just hiding in their room all the time. However, I won't be clawing your door down for company as I still enjoy to just chill on my own sometimes, too. I'm pretty laid back, but as I work in childcare I have 0 tolerance towards hard drugs being used in the house or around me. However, if it's the weekend I'm always keen for a little drink or two. If you think you've got the perfect place just send me a quick little message and we can get something arranged! I have all my own furniture, too, so pretty much happy to move in hopefully within a week or two of viewing and agreeing upon the place :)
I am a tidy, friendly, happy person who enjoys my own space but also likes to be social. Work takes up a fair bit of my time but I like to have down time as well to do other things that I enjoy. I am happy to clean regularly to keep things tidy. I enjoy cooking and baking. I do not have much of a green thumb but am excellent at watering plants. I have lived in Canberra for almost 5 years now originally from Newcastle, NSW. I love the beach and get back to Newcastle as often as I can. If you have any questions, feel free to ask 😊

The kitchen is fully stocked with appliances and we have an aerial downstairs for TV. The room is pretty large, you can easily get a queen bed plus other furniture, and there's also a fitted wardrobe and shelves. There's a study area at the top of the stairs if needed.
STILL LOOKING: You will be staying in a fully furnished provincial bedroom facing the courtyard, you will be sharing a bathroom. Everything in the apartment has been interior designed in the spirit of French provincial, contemporary and industrial styles. The room has a soft and heavenly queen bed-a mattress topper, spacious built in wardrobe, extra storage space and a study table. I am open to you bringing your own small furnishings however, it must suit the style of the interior design. Location: Very convenient!! Getting to UNI-Bruce, opposite UC, 2 mins walk to 300 Blue Rapid, next to the 3 and 7 inner city bus lines. It is 3 stops from ANU and takes 10-15 mins to get there. Getting to Shopping centres: It is 10 minutes to Belconnen Westfield, 10 Minutes to Canberra City. There are street cafes and convenience stores located in the complex. Long term stay- more than 6 months is preferable. Room available from 26th October. The housemate MUST BE 1) CLEAN AND TIDY: The tenant must help me do cleaning once/twice a week- oe take bins out. If you do not clean up after yourself: ie wash plates & cooking utensils after use, leave messes around the house, do not help take out the bin - we will probably not make a happy household. What needs to be done? Vacuuming, mopping, cleaning kitchen, dining area. A person who stays in the apartment must have an acceptable level of cleanliness. :) 2) Respectful of others, not making unreasonable noise after midnight nor invite an excessive number of people and throw wild parties. I am a later year uni-student and pretty much over college parties. Soz. 3) Pay their rent and electricity bills on time and not give dumb excuses as to why they can’t pay. They must be fiscally responsible and have a stable source of money/income whether its from family or work. 4) Is easy going and friendly 5) Has a personality – could be humorous and fun. Ie would prefer if the person didn’t hole themselves in their room all the time à la ‘unilodge style’ 6) I also occasional hosts guests as part of my interest in meeting other people of different cultures around the world. So you must be OK with living with guests. Some people I have met include Norwegians, Germans, French, Chinese and Indians. Ideal people include: (Long list- I know right?) 1) A couple is ok. 2) It would be awesome if you liked playing board games, chess or like puzzles. 3) Non-smoker: I am not entirely discounting smokers, but absolutely no smoking inside the house. Absolutely no drugs. 4) Enjoy watching TV series, movies and Netflix 5) Enjoys home cooking, various styles. 6) Not be passive aggressive, nasty or have bitchy tendencies 7) Is a person who enjoys travelling, learning about other cultures and languages. Who am I? I'm an ANU BSc/LLB student. I like to play tennis, watch movies, series anime, hang out with my friends, learn about other cultures and languages, I love to meet new people. I occasionally host guests from around the world! I love pop culture, art, foreign films and discussing about stuff in general :) Thanks for reading this really long post, congratulation for getting to the bottom of the ‘essay’. I’ve made the list really detailed and specific cause I really care about my living environment. Message me if you are interested in staying here. Look forward to speaking with you! Leonard
