Hi, we are Marion (28) and Matthieu (31) currently on a wholiday visa in Australia till November 2019. We were both living in Cologne (Germany) working for a French car manufacturer before we decided to quit our jobs and go for a little adventure down under 🙂 Marion is French but she travelled a lot during her childhood growing up mainly in New Caledonia and Morocco. She is a thrilled and thrilling person, always smiling, always up for a good adventure, always active. Matthieu grew up in a bicultural family with a French father and German mother. He is passionate about everything he does, loves sports (playing and watching) and is always eager to experiment new things. We have been spending the first months of our stay traveling all along the East Coast from Melbourne to Townsville and enjoying everything the Australian way of life has to offer. We also worked on a cruise ship in the Whitsundays as part of a dive team and took customers out to discover the Great Barrier Reef from under the surface. Now ready to move on to the next chapter of our trip we just found a job in Brisbane and are looking to settle for the rest of our stay.
I'm a super bubbly young professional that works full-time in Morningside. I work 8-5, Monday-Friday and end up at the beach most weekends! Looking for a new spot close to my work to call home! I'm clean and tidy, but not to the point that I won't leave the occasional dish in the sink to 'soak'. I usually keep to myself however I'm always down for a house noodle/movie night or some wine after a long week. Looking to move ASAP!!
This is the BEST location to rent in Brisbane!! More photos will be uploaded soon!! This is a simple house on Main Street, right across the road from the Kangaroo Point Cliffs Park. It has everything you need but it's not lavish or fancy. Not to mention, this is an insanely good price for the location! The room available is the largest in the house. You could easily fit a king bed, plus a desk and wardrobe! It also has a gorgeous bay window which opens up and gives this room the best breeze in the whole house! The high ceilings make the house feel massive! We have pretty much everything to already make this place feel like a home. Your room is unfurnished but the kitchen and living room is already full furnished. The house has a really nice, big leafy backyard with beautiful shade. There's a big washing line too. You'll hardly remember that you're in the city! I love sitting with a cuppa on our back steps in the early morning; it's great way to start the day! There is onsite parking for you - parking space is right outside the front door, it couldn't be easier! And everything you need is super close. There's a 24hour IGA that has a 24 hour Subway (I know!) only a ten minute walk down the road! Public Transport - an easy, flat walk to Woolloongabba Bus Station, which has busses that will take you literally anywhere in Brisbane. - The 234 bus stops right outside our house and heads into the city CBD twice an hour. - An 8 minute walk gets you to the Thornton Street Ferry Terminal where there is a free ferry to Eagle Street! - There is also usually a bunch of Lime Scooter around the lace too! - It's a short, and scenic, 2km walk to both Fortitude Valley (along the Story Bridge) or to Southbank (via the riverside walk) The rent is $130 per week, but we all put in an extra $20 every week to cover the household bills and expenses. This is great because it means that we are never out of pocket when the bills roll around! So we transfer $150 to Declan every Monday. The room is available pretty much asap! So feel free to message me with any questions you may have!
Im a 32 year old teacher who loves travelling (great holidays being a teacher!), snowboarding, cooking, the beach, drinks with friends, checking out new bars and eateries and animals (although my dog doesn't live here sadly). I'm clean and make an effort to keep the main living area and kitchen clean. Id love a house mate who is interested in making the apartment a home and not just a place to reside. Looking for someone who is similar in age (28-34) house trained and also likes to keep the living areas clean and tidy.
Hi I’m looking for a place with an en-suite or own bathroom a must! I am very friendly, very chilled, clean, considerate, reliable, genuine and very social and also like me time. In my spare time I like to spend it with family, friends, keeping active, Netflix, spending time with my fur baby that lives with mum - I’m a big animal lover. I also have glowing references for you to view 😊
Hey! I'm Hussain, 28, currently a full-time student and also work at the airport. I enjoy new experiences, keeping fit at the gym, hiking and just being in nature. I love the occasional socializing and a drink or two every now and then. Clean, tidy and respectful. I'm also a pretty good cook ;) Ideally, I would love to be great friends with my future housemate(s) in that we get along, do things such as cook, eat, chill and hang out every now and then (no pressure haha) as opposed to being mere tenants with shared living spaces - it's not a prerequisite as i do understand we all have busy lives and varying schedules. The idea of a home rather than a house is appealing:) Preference for residences next to or at walking distances from bus/train stations and supermarkets etc.
I am 24yr (25 in October) old professional female. I have just moved to Brisbane and looking for a furnished room as I don't have any furniture I just have personal belongings along with my clothes. I am always a very bubbly and happy person, i am a bit of a old sole. I get along with nearly everyone I meet, I love to have a conversation but also like my own time.
I'm from Brazil, and decided to come to Austrália to improve my English skills while I study one VET course and work.
I'm looking for a place to stay in inner Brisbane. I work full-time and study psychology at the University of Queensland, so I have a pretty busy schedule. I'd like to move somewhere with a friendly sense of community.
