My husband and I are out in Australia on 417 Visas, but hoping to make the move to permanent residency in the not too distant future. I am an OSHC educator while he is a chef (in a cafe). We are housesitting over the Christmas period but looking for something more stable for the months to follow. We love the outdoors and are very much looking to exploring more of what Queensland has to offer.

I am a semi retired researcher/musician, moving to the Sunshine Coast to be closer to my family. I love music, reading, art, nature, gardening/growing vegies, bush walking, travel, and enjoy being in peaceful environments. I am a quiet, but communicative, thoughtful and considerate sort of person, play the flute/piano, am a non smoker, a social drinker, and enjoy fresh food and home cooking. I enjoy watching TV (news, documentaries, good movies etc.), visiting local markets, music festivals, national parks, and spending time with my family.
I pay my bills on time or in advance Independant Keep to myself Non-drinker Non-gambler No TV, Radio or partying Vices include the ciggies and coffee. Pros are a bit more subjective. Sense of humour, for example. Would prefer to have housemates that are primarily women. I have no problem with guys, it's just common wisdom to not move into a place with a strange man. When you're female. Although some guys are way nicer than some women! We are all taking a risk! I also have no issue with age actually older is sometimes better for me because of the quiet. With the young ones I am more concerned about why you are branching out so young and wanting to be sure you're with people that can look out for you, than thinking ok I wont flat with young ones cos they arent responsible (that isn't true is it, some young ones are more responsible than older ones!). So with young ones reading this, maybe contact Anglicare or Centercare or a Community Neighborhood Centre about help for you, as being so young its not either of our faults that some of the commercial structures could be more youth friendly than they are. And these people might be able to help you with accomodation and bonds, depending on location and other paperwork stuff. Good luck and believe in and love yourself. It's a big decision to move out of home, it doesn't need to be scary, help is out there please do look for it, to have an easier transition 😊

I'm a softy at heart, have been sharing and touring for 20+ years, been a drummer most of my life but now returning to Uni in brissy to study science. Will stay a night or two in bris sometimes, and often in Mullum/Byron so I'm looking for a ZEN DEN in NATURE to be my base. I see myself living in an environment that feels like I'm in nature, with space, light, fresh air, birds, frogs, hopefully dogs, an outside-in feel, and people who care about the energy of the house, the world, community and creativity. I am open to coming to the area any time between mid to late feb, and think 3 months might be a minimum with a view to live there while I do my undergrad (3 - 4 years) I have been based in the same house in Bondi, NSW for the last 12 years. I enjoy cooking, like to garden, love animals, do a spot of yoga, am well-travelled, holistic and diverse in my world-views. Naturally introverted, though known for a big personality when the occasion calls for it! I ultimately hope to share a peaceful, clean and natural environment, with gentle souls. I enjoy a great chat, very caring, and thoughtful. I also enjoy my own company, and will be resting, re-charging, studying, reading, writing a lot when home.
