AVAILABLE FOR 2-3 MONTHS (couples welcome): One furnished room in a charming 2 bedroom Queenslander on a quiet street at the end of a cul-de-sac. The house is cool and shaded by an old mango tree in the front yard. It's a 3 minute walk to Lutwyche Station which is very well-connected to the city (only 15 minutes to King George Square Station) by public transport. It's also a 1 minute walk to Kedron Brook, perfect for jogging and/or bike rides. Ideal location for someone travelling or visiting/studying/working at QUT Kelvin Grove, QIMR, RBWH (less than 10 minutes away).
I'm a tidy person, organised and responsible. I like cooking, watching movies and have some drinks sometimes. Hope I can find a place that I can feeling like home! I have been living in Australia for 4 years, majority of the time in Brisbane. I forgot to say... I'm from Brazil!!!
Convenience in Lutwyche. The living space is large and is located in an extremely convenient position in Lutwyche. Less than a one minute walk away there is a shopping centre (Lutwyche City), gyms (including Fitness First, Jetts, Snap, F45), pub and a mix of other shops, restaurants and facilities. Also within a 1 minute walk from the front door are regular buses direct to the City (12 min), Fortitude Valley (8 min), Kelvin Grove QUT / Normanby (6 min), Royal Brisbane Hospital (5 min), Chermside (10 min), Cultural Centre and more. The Albion and Wooloowin train stations are only a 15 minute walk. Despite being less than a few minutes walk from all these facilities, the street is quiet and backs onto a lane way which leads to acres of parkland and the Kedron Brook waterway. The Kedron Brook waterway has kilometres of walking, running and bike tracks. The available room is available furnished or unfinished and has a key lock. Both the bedrooms and living areas have smoke alarms installed. We have a kitchen with dishwasher, microwave and stove / oven. We keep the bathroom, lounge and dining areas clean and tidy. There is also a laundry (with washing machine), outdoor back patio and a large, private and sunny back yard with a hammock and barbeque. Rent is $190 per week (includes electricity, gas, water and unlimited WiFi internet) and bond is $380. This location would suit a single person who is after a very convenient position in a quiet house that is close to a shopping centre (30 second walk), public transport and the City, Valley and Chermside. Non-smokers only please.
We are two friends both studying full-time and working part-time and looking to team up with 1 or 2 others to find a house around the beginning of January, initially for 6 months but with potential to extend for longer. We're always down for a chat and a wine or a good Netflix binge but also respectful of having a quiet space. Looking for people who are friendly and easy going.
The unit is in a house that’s been split into three. It’s a pretty quiet area but super close to stuff like Coles and the train station. The room doesn’t have built ins as it’s an older property. It’s on the small and old side, but kinda charming. I originally moved in with a partner, but we have since broken up and now I need a chill, cleanish, easy going roomie! The house itself is fully furnished with absolutely everything, just the bedroom won’t be.
I'm currently working 2 casual retail jobs so am usually working part or all of the weekend. I am fairly active, I generally go to the gym of an evening and try to get outside as much as possible in my free time. I am neat and tidy and like to chill at night with a book or Netfix.
I am looking for a private room in a share house, would prefer my own bathroom but open to sharing. I have my own car and would like it to either be garaged or off-street. I will be working FIFO so only home 7 days in a fortnight. Easy going, obsessively clean, mother hen nature, love music (rock and metal) often out on weekends supporting my friends playing, or festivals/gigs. I'm sarcastic as hell and never stop cracking jokes at everyone's expense. I do like a chat and feeling comfortable to do so, but I really do enjoy my own company sometimes. Very honest and will say if I don't agree with how something is done. I'm chill and you can't easily offend me, I'm looking for somewhere where a positive outlook is welcomed.
Hi Potential New Housemate, My name is John, I'm a 24yrs old Dutch guy who's in Australia since May 2018. To give you an impression of my time in Australia I decided to devide my stay here into periods: - May 2018 - October 2018 The first five months of my stay I have traveled the whole continent by car, together with a friend of mine. After he went back to Amsterdam I decided to stay in Australia for a longer time. - October 2018 - May 2019 To make this possible I had to fulfill my 88 days of farmwork requirements, which I did in the Sunshine Coast. I lived together with the couple Tommy & Jon (40+) in The Glass House Mountains for seven months. A one week AirBnb-stay turned into a small gay household for more than seven months, the best period of my life! - May 2019 - November 2019 Back home in The Netherlands I have worked as an IKEA Sales man for 4 years, so it was an easy step to work for IKEA in Brisbane as well. As soon as my farmwork requirements were fulfilled and my Visa extension was approved I moved to Camp Hill, Brisbane. I've worked as a CheckOut coworker for 6 months at IKEA Logan. - November 2019 - Future At the moment I'm working as a Sales Coworker again at IKEA North Lakes. I'm living in the beautiful area of Lutwyche together with my housemate. Unfortunately the lease of our appartent will run out in January 2020, so I need to search for another place to live for the last 4,5 months of my stay in Australia. My contract at IKEA North Lakes is 40+ hours, what means that I'm away for work a lot. I have my own car as well, so that makes me fully independant. At the moment I've a 24hrs / fortnight contract as a Sales Co-Worker at IKEA Logan. Although this is not a full time contract, I am taking over a lot of shifts from my colleagues. So I will be away for work a lot. I have my own car as well, so fully independant during my stay in Australia. I'm aiming for a place to stay at the Northside of the river where I can stay till the end of my Visa period (May 2020). Are you the potential housemate who can offer that? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- About myself: My spare time consist of a lot of social activities, because I like to catch up with people and learn from them. I'm not a party type at all, but am always in for a casual drink and a chat. That's also the reason that I don't want to live by myself. It's simply too boring. Unfortunately it's still a necessity to mention nowadays.... I'm gay. All my former housemates were very open minded and also accepted me to invite friends to come over for a casual drink and a sleepover every now and then. Please know that I'm someone with a 'professional'-mindset, what means that I am aware of my housemates, their privacy and happy to adjust myself where possible. It's common sense for me to take part in the house hold tasks. A clean and tidy environment is a must for me. Maybe a bit stereotypical, but that's why I rather live with professionals than with students. I'm very curious what you think about my background and my vision of life. Preferably I want to move in as soon as possible, but am open to dates a little bit further in the future. Wanna grab a coffee to discuss the possibilities? Would like to hear from you. Dutch greetings, Gr. John
Quick version: I’m pretty much a massive nerd that’s into rock climbing and music festivals as much as video games and technology that’s looking to join/team up with one or more room mates to search for a place north Brisbane that’s got good internet and a dishwasher, washing machine, etc. Long version: Like it says above I’m as into playing video games and internet culture as much as going to the beach, rock climbing and anything like that! Really wanna do sky diving and bungee jumping sometime and there’s so many bands I wanna see it’s ridiculous. Dog isn’t mine- I just like dogs Currently I’m working full time as a Therapy Centre Coordinator as well as in NDIS Client Plan Management and it’s actually a lot more fun than it sounds! Kinda... I’m also studying IT at QUT part time at gardens point. Search area is anywhere north Brisbane just so I can go between work and uni a lot easier while keeping up with my rock climbing in West End/Ennogra, super cool if you do it too but if nah it’s all G. Close to public transport would be 10/10 My most ideal place would be anywhere that has good internet and a dishwasher because I’m hardly actually home so hand washing dishes isn’t something I’m keen on. I don’t really care about having my own bathroom or toilet as long as we both/all keep it clean and all that. I’ve got a queen bed and a desk I’d like to fit in my bedroom so space for that is one of the only real requirements I have. Having good flatmate(s) that I can get along with would be the other, I’m currently experiencing the opposite and it’s wack.
Hey, My name is Oli. I have just moved over to Brisbane from beautiful New Zealand. I am looking for a vibrant house, that is social but not a party house! I am a car dealer by trade and sell brand new cars. I work full time 6 days a week. Enjoy a good Ol bevy after work! Pay bills on time and am a good laugh !
Hi! My name is Hannah, I work part-time as a barista & study architecture online. Looking for potential roommates next year in a spot close to public transport. I’m very tidy & do keep to myself but like to hangout with housemates as well!
Hi, my name is Travis, I'm 28, single, gay, super clean, super tidy and super dorky. I'm respectful of personal space but also don't mind hanging out, specially if it involves Netflix and a big box of Cadbury Favourites although wouldnt mind a housemate who I can be friends with. I'm not a party animal but don't mind going into the city or somewhere nice for a couple drinks on the rare occasion, so I'd like a housemate who is similar in that sense and who has a friendly and easy going personality that's clean and tidy. :) I'm work night shift as a Environmental Services Assistant at the SVPHN in Chermside and Im studying IT full time at Tafe South Bank. Im after a place that has the following, - Pet free (Allergic to dogs) - Cigarette free - Drug free - LGBT friendly - Air-conditioning - Non party house - Off street parking - 1 other person maybe 2 max depending on the person/situation - Queen size room with built in (Unfurnished) - Ensuite or own bathroom - Storage (Preferable) - New or Newish house/townhouse or apartment (preferably) - Super clean, as I am really clean myself so ideally Id like my future housemate to be the same. I do have a few bits and bobs that need to be stored, some I can just chuck in the cupboard and under my bed but I do have a sensor dryer and also a mountain bike which I'd like to keep out of the weather. If you like what you read and feel I'm suitable please done hesitate to message me.
