    $300/week48 year old woman

Hi, I’ve just vacated a 1br unit on my own at Gordon Park for the last 5 years and due to the rental crisis, am now going back to share housing. I’m clean, tidy, quiet and looking to share with similar energy. I’m also doing part time study for a year to do my Masters online, so a place offering peace of mind and quiet during the week are high on my priority list. I’m looking to share with someone who is a bit settled in life and doesn’t feel that the household has to be ‘on the go’ and practicing a very full and active social life to feel validated. Preferably someone also in their 40s if possible or at least mature minded with life skills and is open to a broad range of ethnicities. I like my space and hope you do too, (no needy flatmates) but can be social at times when mutually convenient and not expected or pressured into it. I love doggos so if you have one that would be a bonus. I will probably taken them for a daily walk to unwind and make them some dog friendly ice cream here and there. I much prefer the company of dogs to people as I get older! I’m looking to stay around the Chermside/ Kedron/ Gordon Park/ Lutwyche areas for convenient access to transport and grocery shopping. I prefer to share with only one other so that there aren’t too many different competing personalities or quirks clashing, or feeling like you’re living in an hostel, and prefer to keep bills to a minimum. I have my own Netflix, but if you need to pay for multiple other streaming services etc and want someone to go halves, unfortunately I wouldn’t be interested in that as I wouldn’t use them and it wouldn’t be economical on my budget. I’m looking at around $300 week preferably all inclusive or happy to discuss and negotiate. Hopefully you don’t have excessive power and water bills either, as I have kept mine to a minimum to save money. If you have any questions or think your quiet low maintenance lifestyle could work with mine, please let me know. If your place has some storage space that would be a bonus as I’m also reluctantly forking out a few hundred a month on storage rental now, that could be kept in my pocket. Apologies for the long summary, but I believe in being upfront and honest, so that there are no nasty surprises later and hope for the same from you so that we can both increase the chances of things working out. Cheers Rachel. Edit: please do not message me offering a room if your main reason for doing so, is to collect bond for the purpose of spending it on your own bills. Bonds are a safety net against potential damage- they are not free tenant money and must be returned when the tenant leaves, whenever that may end up being. It is hard enough to find a place with many rooms sitting empty while those seeking accommodation even short term, are unfairly pushed closer into homelessness. There should be no empty rooms in a housing crisis. We are all doing our best- please be mindful of this, be flexible and check your expectations.

    Delphy

    $450/week40 year old woman

Hey everyone! Nice to meet you 😊 My name is Delphy and I have a 10yo Russian blue cat called Lucy 🐱 I am looking for an absolutely amazing soul (s) to rent a house with me! Where? I'm flexible, however, ideal places would be Kangaroo Point, Woolloongabba, Spring Hill, Coorparoo, East Brisbane, Fortitude Valley, Windsor, Lutwyche - Somewhere roundabouts but very flexible for the right place and the right person. I have a high up role and work Full Time in Woolloongabba, 3 to 4 days in the office and 1 to 2 days from home depending on workload (mostly at the office these days with the pressures of my workload) and often work 60+ hour weeks. I love peace and quiet and am considerate of other people’s space but I’m also very social and fun! I sound old and boring but I'm quite the opposite! I have all furnishings in storage to fill a home (Your bedroom excluded) Lucy is an only fur child and has always lived as the only pet in the house, I am not sure she would do well with other animals, sorry! She is very well behaved and will warm up to easily if you love cats and have her brush or toys close by. She is very much a Mummy's girl. If you too are struggling to find somewhere/someone and like the sounds of Lucy and I, let's chat or meet up for coffee asap! I can't bring Lucy haha sorry I'm not one of those crazy cat ladies who will put my cat in a pram or on a leash 🤣 but you will love her, I promise you that! Like all cats, you've just got to work for it 🤭🐈 *** My price is very flexible. Locations, not so much, I like to be close to the city and the water. 💥💥 I'm NOT looking to rent a room at this moment as I come with a full house of furniture and would prefer to Team up with one (or two) other professionals and get a house so we dont live on top of each other. If this sounds good to you, I look forward to hearing from you 🤩🏡
