Lovely two bedroom house in Kensington. The available bedroom (at the front) is large with built in robes and ornate fireplace. I moved in mid December 2018 so have some furnishings now (including washing machine). Housemate would only need to bring furniture for their room.
Hey there! I'm Abbey and I'm from New South Wales' South Coast. I am looking to start my undergrad study (BSc) at the University of Melbourne in 2019. I'm looking for a place where I can stay at least for the first year of my studies, with some flatmates who are just as friendly and easy going as I am. I am highly organised and always willing to lend a hand wherever it is needed. I love music, nature and art, and am particularly passionate about wildlife (so I would be over the moon if you have any pets!). If I sound like someone who'd work well with you and your flatmates, please get in touch :) Cheers!
Hi! I'm a fresh uni graduate from Perth who's taken a dive into the deep end by accepting a job here in Melbourne! My field is Chemical Engineering and I'll be commencing that 9-5 grind at the start of January. My stay is only short term (about 9 months) before the company moves me onto the next phase of my program. I enjoy socialising and making new friends, as well as travelling and keeping active! I'm a massive sports fanatic with AFL, UFC and F1 being my favourite sports to watch. I also enjoy placing social sports such as netball and am looking to continue my passion for football by finding a local club to play for when I relocate. I'm a tidy person who enjoys spending time with housemates, yet values a little bit of 'me time' every now and again :))
Hi I am a young at heart 60 year old QA Manager with a local food manufacturer. Originally from England, I have lived the last 5 years in Melbourne, after spending 20 yrs in NZ. I am house trained, can even cook. I relate to all ages, my current best friend in Aus is only 31, whom my wife & I just recently went to Bali with him & his partner. I have plenty of life experiences having travelled much of the world. I enjoy most sport, quiz shows, British TV dramas, reading , music , a few beers with friends at the weekend. I am looking for a room as I have just gone through an amicable separation from my partner, we have decided she should stay at our current house & I would move out.
I ll be studying at University of Melbourne from Feb 2019. I'm a friendly nature and easy going character. I would like a roommate who is like minded ans also who doesn't smoke or drink .
Hey everyone, We are a couple, John and Dilys (28 and 26), looking for a place to live in Melbourne. We have recently moved here from the UK and looking to stay for at least a year. We are looking to move into a place at the end of January in the North, ideally Brunswick/Fitzroy area, but open to other locations. About us: John – Works as a civil engineer. Loves music, cooking and travel. Keen surfer and looking to improve whilst in Aus! Dilys – Works as a teacher. Enjoys seeing live music and comedy. Looking to explore Melbourne and make the most of the time here. We are looking to move somewhere with other likeminded people who are up for socialising, going out for a drink now and again and heading out on the odd surfing trip at weekends. We will both be working during the week so will be looking to live somewhere more chilled Monday – Friday. We look forward to hearing from you!
I’m moving to Melbourne in order to study. I love board games and other social activities. I’ve been working as a bartender at a cocktail bar in cowes and enjoy it so much. I hope to keep working in Melbourne if I can. I also love sports, watching; I’m not the most physically active person. I also love people and pets and really everything. Really I’m looking for a person who I can work with to maintain and work with to live. I don’t want to just be buying a hotel room for 6 months. And I don’t want to share a room with 7 people. If you want to know anything extra don’t hesitate to contact me! I really look forward to living in Melbourne and I hope I can find someone who is willing to tolerate me!
Hi I'm shahim 26 looking for a place close to Unimelb. I have lived in share houses before and I understand the most crucial aspect is respect (for the home, other roommates e.t.c). I enjoy sports, movies and chilling at home. I'm available to move in now and looking to stay for 12 months.
I’m a very easy-going and patient person. Very respectful of all walks of life. Would be keen to join a likeminded group of people who can give each other their own space but also come together for a drink/chat/hang. I’m clean and tidy and like to keep things simple. I’m a jazz musician and run a private music teaching studio (so I have a separate studio for that). If I practice it’s usually around midday when people are working and it’s very low volume anyway. I’m terms of fun, I spend a lot of time with mates, going to gigs and trying new places. Enjoy sports, cooking, reading and obviously music.
Hi! I’m Kate, 34 years old and working full time in public health research in North Melbourne. I am looking for a home for myself and my dog Archie. I love to cook, and particularly love baking. I enjoy a glass of wine after work, would be keen to start a veggie garden and are a clean and considerate housemate. Archie is an 8 year old, blind, Tibetan Terrier who loves long walks in the park, playing fetch (through sound and smell) and napping. He is blind but very quickly maps out his surroundings and is well trained.
Hey I'm Nick! I am a nerd at heart and will show you my awesome collection of figurines. I work full time in a typical 9-5 office job, however my true personality is reflected in my hobbies which include theatre and film-making work. I am hoping to find a household that has a balance of socialising over drinks/movies/banter and I will retreat to my room only when I need down time. I consider myself an easy-going person, always up for a chat and being silly because I don't take myself too seriously, and I'm just looking for like minded people to create a chill and friendly home environment with. I enjoy partying on weekends but I'm not looking for a "party house", I want my home to be a nice peaceful sanctuary to come home to. I'm respectful of shared spaces, and always leave things cleaner than when I found them. I am well and truly house trained and understand the necessity to share cleaning roles and be mindful of noise and how shared spaces are kept.
A couple from Europe looking for a place to stay from end of January untill end of April. We have our car 'Susan' so we will need a place to park her aswel! Easy going couple, up for dinners together but also respect alone time :)
Hi I’m Kasra! I’m a student and I’m looking for a place to share. I’m a also a barber and I enjoy playing sports. I’m not looking for a party house but a practial and peaceful place to share with others. I enjoy socialising on my free time as well as having my own space when I have work to do. Communication is important to me as it keeps peace in the house and pretty much making everything easier. Thank you for reading! Cheers
Hi, my name is Frida and I'm a 22 year old from Stockholm, Sweden! I do a degree in Politics and Philosophy at the University of Glasgow in Scotland and I'm going to Melbourne for an exchange semester. For fun I like to drink pints with interesting and nice people and explore new places (basic but hard to beat)! I'm a vegetarian since 5,5 years who has recently decided to go vegan, I don't mind living with meat-eaters but finding like minded people would be a plus. I'm clean and tidy with previous flatmates who can confirm! :)
Hey, I'm a 26y/o full time profession. Looking for a whole property place instead of apartments. I'm tidy, love cooking (wouldnt mind sharing my dumplings :p) and always down for a banter. I have some plants that could brighten up the place too! Would love to end up being good mates with future housemates! I do need a car space or some sort of arrangements..!
Hi! Looking for accommodation in and around Melbourne. Originally from Sydney and am starting a new full-time job in Melbourne. I am also studying for my Masters degree. I'm 27, non-smoker, no kids, no pets - but I don't mind if you smoke, have kids or have pets. I am quiet to live with but I am looking forward to meeting new people (as I don't know too many people in Melbourne). I am also very clean and will always wash up after myself. If you respect me, I will respect you :) Cheers
Hi, I’m Sophie and I’m a student who works a lot. I’m currently looking for a place to live where I can continue to enjoy this awesome city! I’m very experienced in the whole housemate situation, having done it for around 7 years. I’m super chilled out, love food and eating out, watching Netflix/Stan and going to the gym. I’d say my best attribute is my ability to sleep through the apocalypse; so perfect for anyone who is a shift worker. You could basically have a house party and I wouldn’t stir. I spend a lot of time out because of my busy shedule, but love coming home to hang out either on my own, or having a cheeky drink or cup of tea with housemates. I work on a 32 hour contract min, but usually more, so I’m always able to pay rent/bills on time and have never had any issues. I, like any decent housemate, like to keep communal spaces clean but don’t care how people keep their own spaces. I’m looking for a place I can feel at home in with someone who is relaxed and won’t mind an occasional friend coming over. Also hoping for a long term arrangement as moving is a massive pain and I hate realising how much junk I’ve accumulated every time. Preferably somewhere that has no more than 2/3 others as I’m looking to move somewhere with a few less people than my current situation, as much as I absolutely adore where I live right now in the heart of North Melbourne. Looking to move sometime in early or late March, but I’m really flexible as I currently have a place to live and it’s just a matter of replacing myself. Let me know if you have any questions at all as I’m an open book!
