Furnished room in a share house
New | $168

North Melbourne, Melbourne

Furnished room in a share house

It's not a new home and it has aged but one thing that we have found in this house is that it is very homey, especially with friendly housemates who respects your privacy but still socialise with you every now and again. We do tend to share food sometimes but have been busy recently considering most of us have 2 jobs. It is also not a party house but we do like to get together sometimes. About the room: It is a 2 story house and the 2nd floor is all yours. You have a really nice natural light and full privacy as you have your own floor for yourself. You also have your own full bathroom and everything else is downstairs. What's also great about this house is that the location is very accessible: Flemington is only a few stops by tram and has quite a few good restaurants. Woolworths and Chemist warehouse is a 5 minutes tram stop away. If you want something closer then IGA is only 8mins walk and if you walk for another 2 minutes Woolworths will be just around the corner from IGA. If you are feeling lazy to do laundry or need a dryer, we have a laundry mat just 2 buildings away from the house. Tram stops are only 1 minute walk and takes you 15mins to get to the city. RMIT will take you 15 minutes Melbourne Uni will take you 5-8minutes depending on how busy it is. Flemington Station is 7 minutes walk away from the house and takes 15 mins to get to the city. Royal Melbourne Hospital is only 8mins tram ride.

Hi, I'm Stephane, 38, French and I'm relocating to Melbourne. I've been working as an IT consultant, sometimes on premise, sometimes from home. Mature and respectful, I'm also a keen photographer, sociable by nature, and always thriving in good conversations and cultural sharing. I'm looking for a private room in a shared house not too far from public transportation (I have owned a car in 15 years!) and am hoping to live with like minded people who can be friends as well as great housemates!

Tom

Looking in: Melbourne, South Yarra, North Melbourne, Burnley, Brunswick East

I am part way through my studies in Nutrition at Deakin whilst working 2-3 days during the week. I'm a mostly quiet housemate but love a wine and chat with good people. I am clean, tidy and very respectful of space and privacy. I am keen on fitness and have a weights set which would need a home with a yard (others welcome to use). Looking for two (at the most) housemates to move in somewhere cityside. This might mean us taking a lease out on a place or a room if you have one available. I am open to all types and LGBTQI+ friendly. If you have any questions at all please be in touch!

Looking in: Yarraville, Richmond, Armadale, Abbotsford, Fitzroy, Collingwood, Coburg, Brunswick, North Melbourne, Flemington, Kensington, South Yarra

Hey there future housemate! I've tried to be as open as I can to answer any questions you might have so please don't be creeped out by how extensive this. Saying that, please ask me if there are any other questions you may have. Herrreeee we go: ME - 27, study and work in architecture field -Easy going, reliable, pay bills, clean, decent human being etc. etc. -Indoor plant enthusiast (although they don’t always reciprocate) -Strongly believe that dressing gowns are underrated -Love to go out for breakfast but rarely am awake enough to enjoy it -Not a ‘box ticker’ -Wants a comfy home with wonderful and friendly housemates I'd say that I am open minded, responsible, accepting and friendly. All of that stuff. I can be social and enjoy a good chat but I also understand others need for personal space. I am easy to live with and I have no problems with communal meals and chores etc. if need be. I have lived with people that identify as vegetarian and LGBTQIA in the past with no problems. I am also respectful of the culture and opinions of others. It does not matter to me what you identify as but as long as you are nice, responsible and respectful. Happy to share my time with all walks of life that fit into these categories. I have shared individual leases in four houses since I was a wee lass where I have paid rent and bills separately- always paid all on time. I can provide you rental references. I am really looking for long term with reliable people that can hold a decent conversation, respects privacy and is comfortable to be around. Ultimately, I am looking for a 'home' rather than just a house to crash. HOUSE/MATE/S (YOU) -Considerate of other people/space/culture etc. -Up for a chat and occasional drink -Not a raging house. Or ‘clicky’ -USES MANNERS* not that much to ask guys - Hilarious (will settle for mildly humourous) -Up for meaningless intellectual banter -Wont push personal agenda (not arrogant) - Similar age -Lovely... just damn lovely BORING STUFF -$250- 300 -Longterm lease -Walking distance to PT and public amentities -No carpark required -washing line Let me know if you are interested in having me as your housemate! Please be honest with me, I will not take anything personally if am not what you are looking for.

Hey, I'm Calvin I'm a Masters student at Melb Uni who is balancing a whole bunch of things at with it. I'm working two jobs, do a lot of climbing and other things I'm into, and during busy times in the uni semester spend long hours there throughout the week so I'm quite busy during the week and out of the house for long periods, but really looking for somewhere to come back to after long days which is relaxed but social, and keen for lots of hangs and chats. I ride my bike everywhere so looking for a place that has a bit of room to house the bike, but also no need for a parking space.

Raul

Looking in: Southbank, North Melbourne, Melbourne, Fitzroy, Carlton

Hey, I'm Raul, a design student at the University of Melbourne. I've been living in Melbourne for a year, and have absolutely loved it. Flexible with the type of place I'm looking for, but I need it to be neat and clean, of course. Would ideally want to move into a place with a private room, an ensuite would be great, but I'll be alright without it. I'm out of the house for most of the day, but also do a lot of my work at home. If I can talk and hang out with my flatmates, it would be perfect, but I'll let you have your space if I get too annoying (I love my space as well). I enjoy watching football (⚽️, not footy sorry 😐), watching some Netflix and playing a bit of PlayStation (yes, I'd be coming in with my PS4, lucky you 😆). People say I'm friendly, clean, funny, and relaxed (take their word for it, not mine). Would love to talk about wherever I can move, so send me a message :)
