I'm looking for someone to share a beautiful two bedroom apartment in central McKinnon. The room available is a generous size, with large built in robes, split system aircon/heating and your own ensuite. It will be unfurnished. The apartment is split over three levels, with a beautiful open plan kitchen and living area which opens on to a balcony. There is a laundry and separate powder room on the main level. There is a car park you are welcome to use (although it's a little tricky to get in and out of) as well as a separate storage area. The apartment is right near McKinnon train station and on the shopping strip. There is all day street parking available close by. The shared areas of the house are mainly furnished. The current housemates will be taking a few things so if you do have anything you want to bring this could possibly be negotiated. Bills will be shared evenly. Bond is one months rent. Couples will be considered. Cost for a couple will be $280. I'm currently on a month by month lease, however you will need to be approved by the real estate agent. I'm a 26 year old female, working full time in the Hawthorn. I like all the typical things - food, wine, going out with friends, a bit of exercise etc. I'm looking for someone of a similar age who wants to make this their home and would be happy to share the occasional meal and chat. I'm not after a party house but would like to have friends around for dinner and drinks every now and then and hope my flatmate would be comfortable doing the same. I usually spend a couple of nights a week staying at my partner's house in the city and vice versa - I'd be ok with someone in a similar situation. If you think this sounds like you please send me an email with a bit about yourself. A photo would also be good so I know who I'm talking to! PS. Furnished photos will be added ASAP.

Hi! I am looking for a housemate over the summer months from 1 November until 1 February 2017. I am looking for a female housemate, preferably a student who is fairly quiet and respectful. After reading below, if you feel that my listing fits your description of an ideal housemate, please message me and introduce yourself. I am looking for someone for 3 months only. Viewing available from mid-October. I am a 40 y.o. professional who currently works part time in administration and I am studying at RMIT. I am fairly social but most of the time I have my head in a book. I love reading and writing, and I sew from time to time for my online store which keeps me pretty busy. You will also find me in my garden tending to my veggie patch. I am looking for a like-minded professional or full time student FEMALE aged from late 20s upwards who is not only mindful of others, but respectable, and a good communicator. I tend to keep a tidy home without being obsessive. I am not a huge fan of loud and blaring TVs and respectful of others space. This is not a party house but more of a chill space. I am also a traveler, having lived in France for seven years so my mentality is very much that of an expat, even though I am Australian :) I am looking for someone for 3 months. I prefer someone who doesn't have a lot of stuff as my house is mostly furnished. I have some storage space available for small things, should you need it. I can't accept pets, sorry! A bus outside takes you to Chadstone Shopping Centre in 20min. There is a bus from Bentleigh station that goes to Monash Uni, Clayton. The room available for rent comes furnished with a comfortable Queen size bed, a tallboy for storage, a side table with drawers and some space in the built-in robe for hanging clothes. The house: There is a shared bathroom styled in the Art Deco era with a small claw foot bath. The shared kitchen comes equipped with microwave, gas stove/oven (only 2 years old) blender, mini electric BBQ, washing machine gas ducted heating, etc. There are high ceilings and newly polished floorboards throughout. I tend to be careful where I can, as I know that electricity and gas can be really expensive! Bond required: one month's rent. ($845) Please message me and tell me a little about yourself. I am usually available on weeknights and weekends to view the room. Steph is a Graphic Design graduate and Troy is a Industrial Design student. We both have jobs working in a deli and hospitality respectively. We have two pets, Freddie and Crackles, who are our little darlings. They are small, cage animals and are the sweetest, friendliest and cleanest little things. We love board games, the beach, family and being with our friends. One of our favourite things to do is share meals with friends/flatmates, Steph often brings home goodies from the deli. Steph has lived out of home for 8 years and Troy, part-time, for 2. We are both hard workers and are clean and easy-going. We both have travelled quite a bit and love sharing stories about our adventures, we'd love to hear about your adventures too. In our spare time we enjoy watching netflix and having a few bevs, going out for food is always a welcome suggestion too. Troy likes playing video games as well and is happy to share his consoles (N64, Xbox 360, Xbox One) and variety of games. I am an international student in Monash University doing double degrees in arts and social work. I might be a bit shy at first, but I am a very friendly, easygoing, polite and respectful person. I can speak both Mandarin and Cantonese proficiently and I would love to teach you about our languages and culture as well! I love reading books, watching movies and TV series. And I am a big fan of Harry Potter.

Hey! My name's Emma and I'm 22 years old. I am hoping to start up a sharehouse around the Caulfield, Carnegie, Murrumbeena, Hughesdale area at end of this year/start of next year. Let me know if you'd be keen on starting a home with me and I'll tell you more about myself! Also just a side note, I'm not really interested in taking a room in an existing sharehouse. I'm really hoping to start up my own place with someone so I'm really just interested in team-ups at the moment. I have a few nice places in mind :)
Hi, my name Elisa, I'm 32 and I'm a PhD student in Geophysics. I come from Rome (Italy) but since 1 year and a half I have lived in Camerino because of my PhD. From 17th of September to 15th of December I'll be in Melbourne for an informal training at Monash University and I'm looking for an accomodation for that period I'm looking for a room in a shared house or an homestay near the university (in one of the followed neighborhood: St Kilda, Elwood, Caulfield north and south, Carnegie, Oakleigh, Chadstone, Huntingdale, Hughesdale, Bentleigh, Bentleigh East, Ormond). Thanks Elisa
Single female, clean, quiet, respectful. Ive recently re-located back to Melb looking for a relaxed place for 4-6 months. I like animals but don't have any. Need furnished place, but not a problem. Have 2 adult children. Previously worked in aged care, and recently as a receptionist. Enjoy being outdoors, walking.
Hi everyone! I just returned from living in India and travelling around Asia for the last year. I was previously studying science and engineering at Monash Uni, but now am changing courses and universities next year. I currently study by distance through Open University, so I will be a study bug some of the time, but I love the odd wine and cheese night as well. I'm happy to make friends with whoever I live with, but I am independent so if you'd rather mostly keep to yourself, I am ok with that too. I am staying with friends as I just arrived back a couple of weeks ago, so finding something furnished where I could move in ASAP would be ideal. Thanks!
Hello. I'm gonna move to Melbourne from Japan in Next year. I'm very excited! So if you have a good room , please let me know. I am very tidy and friendly:-D
I'm Sam. I'm just about to graduate from Melbourne Uni with a Masters Degree in Creative Writing, Publishing and Editing and am looking for someone to share a place with. I currently work part-time as a waitress and will increase my hours once I finish uni until I find a job in publishing, which will most likely be in the city, so it would be convenient to live walking distance from a train station. I am friendly, neat and tidy. I enjoy horse riding, reading and binge watching TV shows. Ideally, I would only like to live with one or two others (females only, preferably also in their 20s), either in an established place or somewhere we rent together. I'm looking for housemates I can become close friends with, who enjoy watching movies and TV and going out for meals. I'm happy to live with students (as I've been one for the past 5 years) or with someone working full time. I love animals so I'm happy to live with any pets but don't currently have one of my own. I would love to get a dog at some point but I have no plans to get one in the near future. I have all of my own bedroom furniture and a few pieces for communal areas.
And international student in deakin from pakistan. Usually busy in studies but likes to fun when i am free.

Hello friendly faces! My name is Allyse, I'm 19 and I live in Mount Martha on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula. I'm looking for a room to rent until March 2017, preferably in the south eastern suburbs! I work two jobs local to me and planning to study Nursing at uni next year! I'm a bright, enthusiastic and very friendly girl. My main passion is music so I love going to gigs in the city and banging down a few beers every so often with my friends! I've been wanting to move out of home for a while and would love more than anything to live close to one of my favourite cities in the world, Melbourne (of course)! Feel free to send me a message as I would love to hear from you!! Allyse xx
Hi there ! My name is Matthieu and I am a 29 year old French guy who just finished his studies and found a job at Monash Clayton. I will arrive on October 29th and start work on the 7th of November, which gives me a week to find a nice place to live in! I lived with roomates since I started University, including a year in Quebec. I am known to be a very good roommate, very tidy and respectful of my roommates privacy. I will be working full time, so I would prefer to find a more quiet place. But I also enjoy parties and having a lot of fun during the weekends! I like to believe that roommates can be more than just bill sharers: I enjoy sharing beers, watching movies together and catching up around a nice meal. Please note that I really would like to find a smoke-free place. My hobbies include playing volleyball, squash and badminton, watching series (although I might need some subtitles ;-) ) and listening to music (I love concerts). I really like discovering the place I live in, and Australia will be a heck of a discovery. I will be more than happy to share my French culture, but also very happy to catch some of the Australian way of life. So if you feel like showing me around, and if you can bear my English, I would be happy to become your new roommate. See you soon! Matth
Originally from Perth, I'm currently studying teaching at Monash. I'm a quiet, low-key person at home, and when I'm not studying, I'm either baking or watching the footy. I've been living in a 4-person share house this year and definitely appreciate the need to be quiet, clean and tidy!
I am a very friendly and a warm person. I like to keep things neat and I mostly keep to myself reading novels or my kindle. I love to cook but rarely do so. I do enjoy an occasional social party and I adjust very easily. :)
Hi I have an unfurnished room available in a 2br first floor apartment. The apartment is reasonably new and has heating cooling, large kitchen, modern bathroom. The apartment will be furnished so all you'd need to bring is bedroom furniture (if you have a dining setting that would be awesome). It's in a really good location with shops, supermarkets, cafes and train station all less than 5 mins walk away. (Photos coming soon!)
One big room in a two-bed room apartment near Ormond Station for renting. With all required furniture including fridge, washing machine, bed frame and mattress etc. $180 per week plus shared bills. I am a new graduate and currently working full time so most of the time wont be at home. This place is quite and with very convenient transport within walking distance to Ormond Train station. There are two small cats living here, very cute and close to people. I am looking for some one who is willing to keep living place clean and peaceful.
WELL, IT'S THAT TIME AGAIN. Hey, my name's Alex & I've been living in here for around 4 years. A friend of mine & I were the first to find this place (i.e. we took it up when it was vacant) & instantly fell in love with it. It took us seriously about 5 minutes to decide that this was our new home. It's massive, so well appointed, so open & light-filled, has such a good energy about it and even after 4 years I'm struggling to find fault with this place. I mean, a house can always be improved of course but this one would take something like a jacuzzi in the courtyard & a rooftop bar with an outdoor cinema to make it noticeably better ;) We understand that most people base their next housing decision on commute times & public transport, proximity to their school or work, local amenities & services etc so we thought it would be helpful to give a brief rundown of the area in regard to these points : * 10 mins walk to Ormond train station, 20-25 mins to Flinders Street Station. 2 stops to Monash Caulfield. 4 stops to Holmesglen TAFE Moorabbin. * 15 mins walk to #64 tram, 35-40 mins to Flinders Street Station (via Chapel St Windsor & St. Kilda Junction) * #630 bus at the top of the street - 15 mins to Elwood Beach one way, direct to Monash Clayton the other way * Easy access to bayside and southern suburbs like St. Kilda, Prahran, Brighton, Balaclava, Elwood, Sandringham etc * All necessary amenities and services within a small radius - banks, ATMs, doctors, vets, gas stations, gyms, cinemas, supermarkets, cafes, restaurants, libraries, bottle shops, 24 hour convenience stores, fast food outlets, major shopping centres (Southland, Chadstone) and factory outlets (DFO Moorabbin) * Plenty of parkland with exercise circuits, running/cycling tracks, public open spaces, off-leash areas for dogs, sporting grounds, swimming pools etc If there's anything in this category we've left out that you would like to know about please ask us & we'll be happy to inform you :) There's some extras here that you don't get everywhere : Pro DJ sound system with Serato & double decks for your vinyl pleasure... the sound fills the whole of downstairs so beautifully and is awesome for some relaxing chill tunes over dinner during the week or brunch on a Sunday morning. It's also perfect for entertaining, whether it be a small dinner party or a proper late night knees-up. You don't have to be a DJ to use it (although it would be awesome if you were - just saying), it's easy to just plug your phone or laptop in & enjoy. To be clear, this may be a proper sound system but it doesn't make this a party house. We all highly value our neat, quiet and civilised space especially during the week when cooking a good meal & getting a good night's sleep is essential. Out the back there's a huge paved private courtyard with 2x BBQ's and enough seating for roughly 20 (Summer Sunday Sessions anyone ??) It's like having the beer garden from your favourite local in your own house. We also have sun lounges, deck chairs, a ping pong table & an inflatable pool we can use in this area when the weather is right. It's a lovely little space, especially now that we just gave the garden a full spring clean. We're looking forward to Summer !! Apart from the cool extra stuff there's a huge galley style kitchen with double everything (ovens, sinks, dishwashers, pantries, fridges etc), ridiculous amounts of storage space, dual ducted heating & cooling systems, separate laundry with modern dual washer/dryer combo unit, single remote control roller door garage with home gym (not used for cars, it's more of an activity & storage space), unlimited adsl2+ from Internode, huge lounge area with 50" screen & external speaker system, Playstation 3, Chromecast and Netflix. Oh and we also have a NES Mini arriving soon if you happen to be into retro video games :) So what about the bedrooms ?? (Refer to photos above) The first bedroom (unoccupied in photos) is full size - easily fits double or queen size bed. Comes with optional double bed with as new mattress (2 months old, only 1 user). Good condition carpet, separate ducted heating and cooling vents, louvre window with frosted glass / holland blind / flyscreen, triple panel mirrored sliding door BIR's, and all utility points built in (electricity, pay tv, phone, TV antenna). Everything in working order and undamaged. The second bedroom is almost identical - same same but different you could say. Also full size - easily fits double or queen size bed. Comes with optional queen bed with as new mattress (3 months old, only 1 user). Good condition carpet, separate ducted heating and cooling vents, louvre window with frosted glass / holland blind / flyscreen, double panel mirrored sliding door BIR's, and all utility points built in (electricity, pay tv, phone, TV antenna). Everything in working order and undamaged. **PLEASE NOTE** The first bedroom is available indefinitely, the second bedroom is available from November 29 until roughly the middle of February (exact date TBC) when Madeline will return from her Summer work placement. In regard to furniture for the room, we can provide the beds as stated above, study desks, bedside tables, chests of drawers etc etc. If you happen to be a couple and already furnished that's also cool. If you're somewhere in between we're happy to offer what we can.
