I'm a student doing a Masters of Bioinformatics at Melb uni, in the middle of a career change from data science, looking to live nearby for the duration of the degree and a bit afterwards while I find a job (~2 years). I'm 29 years old and have a lot of experience living in share houses, having lived with strangers while travelling, shared with 3 strangers in 2019, 2 close friends during Covid, and another 2 close friends since 2023. So I'm fairly good at communicating and navigating the typical hurdles that arise when living with other people with their own sets of preferences, expectations, idiosyncrasies, and the like.
- I have plenty of hobbies - 3D-printing, jiu-jitsu, painting Warhammer, Swordcraft, bouldering, MTG. Happy to share my interests with others, and partake in your hobbies in turn
- I like to cook big batch meals at the start of the week that I'm more than happy to share if the favour is returned. A few favourites are rogan josh, laksa, stir fry, and pasta with creamy chicken & mushroom sauce
- I have a car, happy to ferry people if needed/convenient
- I'd say I'm an ambivert, sometimes I like to chill on my own after a long day, sometimes I like to hang out in the evenings
- As I've grown older I'm less of a party person, I prefer a day spent with good friends, typically over board/card games, or a creative hobby like building/painting miniatures
- I'm in a committed relationship and so I'd be wanting to occasionally hang out with my partner at the house
