Nadia

$300/week34 year old woman

I'm a kind, good-natured mid-thirties female (she/her) looking for like-minded people to team up with or join a 2-4 bedroom home. I work as a government project officer 3 days at the office, 2 days wfh. I have 2 beautiful golden retrievers, so being a dog lover is a must. Penny (3.5) is an old soul; we volunteer as a therapy dog team. Murphy (2.5) is energetic and a character. They complement each other well and come with a robot vacuum cleaner. My day to day looks like getting up early walking the dogs, going to the gym, work, cooking a delicious dinner and having an early night. I study and volunteer outside of work so my weeknights are pretty filled up, but you might find me watching a trashy TV show in between. My weekends mainly consist of catching up with family, friends and life admin, going for adventures with Penn and Murph, training for a 10km or hyrox and cooking. I love food, cooking and eating, and pairing it with a nice wine or cocktail on days off. My ideal place: A spacious house with air conditioning and heating. Lots of natural light with a fully fenced outdoor area suitable for the doggos. A decent kitchen to show off my cooking skills and have kitchen chats. Close to public transport and parklands or a walking trail (We love Merri Creek). I really value an uncluttered and tidy house. Happy to have your friends and family over by not interested in a party house or hosting kick ons. We would share bills etc and maybe get a veggie patch going. About you: You are kind, friendly, easy going and an excellent communicator that has lived in successful share houses before. You work full time and also enjoy keeping fit and healthy. You love love love dogs, are emotionally mature, tidy and respectful. You enjoy having a friendship with your housemates but also have a life of your own. You like to cook and share a meal from time to time. You’d prefer to live in a community environment rather than a hotel. If this sounds like you, please respond with lots of information about yourself and what you're up to in Melbourne long term. I look forward to messaging you and finding our perfect home!

Kris

$450/week33 year old man

Hi Melbourne! My name's Kris, I'm a 33-year-old professional moving down from Sydney permanently around early June and looking for a great share house for the long term. I'll be starting my Masters at the University of Melbourne soon. I work in healthcare, which sometimes involves night shifts, but I'm very experienced with share house living and always super considerate about noise and respecting everyone's schedule. Longer term, I'll be transitioning into a law/government role after getting admitted here. I'm pretty easygoing, tidy, reliable, and respectful of personal space. Definitely enjoy a chat, occasional shared meal, or exploring the local area, but also happy doing my own thing. Think friendly but independent! I value open communication and keeping shared spaces clean and comfortable. The Important Bit - My Fur Baby: Crucially, I come with my lovely 8-year-old indoor cat, Booboo. She's very chill, quiet, well behaved, and strictly stays indoors. She's excellent with furniture as she has her own scratching posts etc. She mostly just sleeps! She get's along with dogs, but I've never tried to introduce her to other cats so not sure how she'll go. So, I'm specifically looking for a genuinely pet-friendly household that's happy to welcome her too. What I'm Looking For: A private room in a friendly, mature (ideally 20s/30s+) share house. Housemates who are clean, respectful, and good communicators. Long-term stay preferred. Reasonable access to UniMelb (Parkville/Carlton area) and/or good public transport links would be ideal. My budget is around $250 - $450 per week. Looking to move around late May early June. If you have a suitable room coming up in a cat-friendly place and think I might be a good fit, please send me a message! Cheers

Melbourne share accommodation and flatmates

Nicole

$225/week32 year old woman

Heya, I’m Nicole! The last 4 years since relocating from the country where I grew up I’ve been living in Werribee. Now, on the hunt to begin my next adventure excited for the new opportunities in an unfamiliar area surrounded with plenty of character and charm! After 10 years of admin life I’ve seamlessly transitioned into working as a liquor store attendant which has me thriving, hoping to gain new experiences and job opportunities along my way (such as some bar tending). My employment is based mostly in Point Cook however I am required at times to be in Hoppers Crossing and Ascot Vale locations as well as the potential of other stores located throughout Vic. Living within shared accommodation at present with a lovely housemate that is found off this website also (who I’m sure would be more than happy to provide a reference if necessary). Prior to this I was renting a property for 3 years that I shared with two other housemates and share house history previous to that. The sense of coming home 🏡 after a busy shift to a peaceful clean space is what I call paradise! Very quiet, rarely have guests (if I plan to im courteous enough to inform notice in advance) my circle is super small so mostly I keep to myself and enjoy might own company. Looking to find something around the $200-$250 p/w I am comfortable to pay (currently paying $210 excl. bills). Reliant on public transport as my method of transport at present, location of ‘home’ within an 10 minutes walking distance for easily accessible transport is a requirement (preferably to a train station). A private room is a non negotiable, preferably with a bed if possible, I have some items of furniture but not an extreme lot of stuff to bring with me. Feel free to message and let me know about your slice of paradise that I could potentially call home and be a new addition in your life! ✨
