I'm a PhD student at Uni Melb and I'm looking for a private room to move in at the start of next month near the Parkville Campus. A bit about me - I'm 28 years old, from India, with interests in science, engineering, tennis, cricket, all sorts of foods and beverages. I actually cook some pretty decent food, love to share conversations over beer, coffee, wine (beverage of your choice really), and debate and discuss about anything under the sun. I respect others needs for the occasional down time (and prefer some of it myself) and prefer quiet neighborhoods for that reason. I'm looking to move in at the start of September, but I'm flexible by a week or two. Hope to find a great place soon!

Hello everyone! I have just moved to Melbourne from Atlanta, Georgia in the US. I will be living here for a year. I’m looking someone with a room available to rent or someone (or multiple people) who would want to team up to find a place of our place of our own. I’m looking for a place with a rent under $250 a week. I would prefer to live in or around Carlton, Fitzroy, Collingwood, or Northcote, but it does not have to be one of these areas. However I do need easy access to public transportation and the city. I am 21 years old, gay, and I want to pursue a career in a creative/artistic field. I have many interests. Some of them are art, music, fashion, hiking, spending time outdoors, and sometimes just chilling out and watching Netflix. I am new to the city and would love to spend some time exploring the area. I would really like to have roommates who like to socialize and hang out. I would like my roommates and I to be friends. Please message me if you are interested or have any questions! Thank you, Mason
Hey there , my name is Mamie. I’m from Canada (Montreal to be precise .) I recently came back home to Canada from being in China for two years (I was teaching English) . While I was in China ,I did the roommate spiel . I am respectful , open minded ,friendly , clean and tidy . I’m a social butterfly but at the same time I like my own personal space. I get along with literally anyone and everybody lol. Since being back home in Canada I feel stuck :/ in the sense of I need a new adventure. Therefore I plan on doing a working holiday visa . I plan on arriving in Australia 2020 and will be working full time . Looking for a place in Melbourne. Yes I know I’m a few months early in posting but I figure the earlier the better . I don’t have a preference on the gender I live with . Whether male or female as long as everyone gets along. Cheers!
I’m Malaysian Chinese, have been working in London, Hong Kong and Singapore. This year relocating to Melbourne for a full time professional role in the financial services. In short, I am tidy, mindful and friendly. Below are elaborations about myself. #Personality# • Responsive listener – I enjoy listen to others’ experiences/ stories without judgement because it helps to broaden my own perspective from learning different points of view. • Observant – I love to keep my minds actively engaged with the surroundings because it enables me to take a step back and peer into ourselves and others to practice mindfulness. • Adaptable – I am easy going and flexible to adapt to changes in the environments/ situations. That means I am open to accepting opinions and practices different from my own. #Character# • Honest – I like to keep things transparent, leaving no place for misunderstandings. My friends love to hear from me when they need genuine feedback. • Reliable – I keep my promises/ obligations and always committed to do it well without excuses. I have a good track record on my bill payments since started working at age 20. • Responsible – I am very organized and have a strong sense of duty. I enjoy the environment being in good order and have disciplined myself to follow the cleaning routine/plan to avoid procrastination. I spent most of my time reading, browsing the internet for buying / selling, and researching ideas for investment/ business. As for sports, I enjoy going to the gym, swimming, hiking and going out here and there exploring places. Interior design is my main interest. I learn lots of DIY and became a very handyperson who knows wide range of repairs or maintenance work around the home.
We are a Scottish couple looking for somewhere to call home, meet new people, and relax in for a few months. We are both considerate, tidy, friendly, and like to have some downtime, but we also like to have a good time at the weekend with a few glasses of wine or beer. In our free time we like to socialise, exercise, & explore the city.
I'm a 23yr old psychology graduate moving back to Melbourne in mid-September after having spent a couple months overseas. I adore decent coffee, live music, philosophy, travel, men's fashion, skate boarding, and gaming (..look, this became a thing when I was searching for anything BUT my thesis to waste time on). As far as living with me goes, I've been renting for over seven years, and have learnt a lot about what being a sweet sweet wonderful housemate looks like over that time. I'm very clean, as well as easy going, and I am reliable. I don't have strident expectations as far as contact goes--it'd be swell to be blessed friends with my housemates, but simply catching up here and there is entirely fine. As long as there's a kind and fair atmosphere in the house, then it's happy days! I've spent the entirety of my student life working part-time in a retail environment to get through the uni grind, and will be working steadily in men's suiting 'til I find work in my own field. I'll also be spending a lot of time preparing for masters, which means plenty of hours doing research assistant work, mental health work, and volunteering--so I'll be out of the house for a considerable amount of time! You won't need to worry about me cramping the entirety of your space. Don't hesitate to get in touch; I'm overseas until the 18th of September, so texting won't be the best method of contact--feel free to simply inbox me! x NB: Although I've listed myself as available for a six month lease (and would be entirely happy to proceed with this, especially if the place is a swell match), my preference is for a shorter lease term initially, so as to ensure everyone is happy with the living arrangements!
