Hi Everyone, I am 26, moved to Brisbane about a year ago due to work. I am originally from Melbourne but I have decided to stay in Brisbane for another couple of years. I am an engineer and work the usual office hours Monday to Friday. My current lease is ending Jan 20ish and naturally I am looking for a new place that I will enjoy living in with housemate/s who I will get along with. Preferably I would like to live with housemates of a similar age (mid to late 20s.) I am hoping to lock in a place for 2017 sooner rather than later. I am a sociable person, always enjoy meeting new people and expanding my network. I would prefer to stay with housemates that are similar to myself i.e. tidy, friendly, reliable and easy going. The type of people that I can have a drink with on the weekend. I don't mind housemates having friends over, just not if they are going to keep me awake in the graveyard hours of a weeknight. I generally like to be busy and productive doing things, very rarely will you find me wasting away in front of the TV. I clean up after myself and don't leave dirty dishes lying around. Although sharehouses, are what they are, I do try give somewhat more of a homely feel about the place. You will often find me in the kitchen cooking up something interesting. I do enjoy cooking, but at the same time kinda cbf cooking for one every night. Would be happy to share cooking with others (love Italian and asian food) I don't own any pets, however, I do like cats and dogs and wouldn't be against living with either. Interests: cooking, keeping active, bike riding, running, exploring and travel, herb garden, markets, new restaurants, reading, keeping busy, doing nothing, beach, nights on the town (not every weekend) I am currently trying to save for a house so would like to cap my rent expenses to around $180ish + bills per week. If you think that we will get along and our requirements match then give me a buzz or shoot through a message.
I'm not moving until January. I currently work fulltime at Mount Coot-tha and I've been living in Taringa for the past 3 years. I have my own communal appliances and furniture to bring with me if needed. I enjoy eating out, going out, having a drink after work, binge watching netflix and going for runs along the river. I'd need to move mid-January, ideally looking to stay around Toowong/Taringa (train line / bus line), $160-180 - but pretty flexible. Shoot me a message if you would be interested in starting a new place or if you need a spot filled and we can grab a coffee - Thanks!
I'm a Graphic Designer working full-time in Milton (so anything within half an hour trip via public transport to Milton would do). My husband (43) is a student at TAFE and a handyman. I cook about 2-3 time a week, but without poisoning the air with unbearable spice smells though and never leave kitchen dirty after that. We hope to find a place with as considerate, quiet and tidy people as we are. We have no pets, but wouldn't mind if there are in the house (I especially adore cats). One more detail. I'm 155 cm tiny woman and my hubby is an average scale guy, and we don't have too much stuff with us. We are renting a standard spaced room (abt 10 m2) in a shared house now and totally fine with it.
I am a postgrad medical student studying in UQ and am currently actively looking for a place closer to the hospitals. I am mostly quiet keeping to himself but sociable when things are happening. Normally I don't party. Never did drugs. Don't smoke. I am also tidy and cleans up after himself. I work as a casual online tutor with a lot of savings - enough to last me till I graduate in 3 more years and start being an intern, so rents and bills are never a problem. I also have my own car, so parking is essential (can be on or off street).
I am a 27 year old American, living here in Brisbane studying my Masters degree. I am easy going, friendly, tidy, and independent. Looking forward to meeting like minded people in a healthy and happy environment :)
Im a 22 year old Male who will be studying full time in Southbank. I am ex Army and consider myself extremely clean and organised. Ive recently backpacked Europe for 6 months and love getting to know people from all over the place. Im looking for fun friendly and motivated housemates who like to keep the place clean, interact with each other and want to make the place a home and not just a sharehouse. Male or Female doesnt matter aslong as we all get along well and respect each others privacy and what not while in the house. As much as ill be busy studying through the week i wouldnt turn down a few drinks and a fun night out with my housemates. Can cook also :D look forward to hearing from you !!!
Hi guys, Just moved back to Brisbane after living up north for 3 years I'm currently living in a tiny place with my mum in logan, so you can imagine how desperate I am for a new place! I work full time, 8-6 mon-sat in toowong, so ill be out of your way! I'm super relaxed and don't mind a beer or two after work. I'm clean and respectful and would love to move in with people who are like minded, positive and can have a laugh with.
Quiet, loves animals, busy working bee. Looking for independent living starting in February. Please do not contact me if it is a share house. Thanks
Hello! We have a room in our Milton house available now (flexible move in date). THE HOUSE - The house has very spacious, open plan living areas. It is airconditioned. There is a separate laundry with washer and dryer. The living areas are fully furnished with all new Miele appliances so you need only bring your bedroom furniture. Whilst we don't have a huge amount of outdoor space, there is a small outdoor patio/BBQ area and yard. The bathroom is shared with 2 other housemates. THE ROOM - the room is very spacious and has a large built in wardrobe. It has glass doors that open up onto the patio. THE PEOPLE - You would be living with 4 housemates in mid twenties (two guys, two girls). We all work, and one of us is also studying. We're a very social household and are looking for someone who will fit in well (although we also enjoy time to ourselves and respect other's need for that too). You would also be living with an adorable 10 month old labradoodle named Winston. INCLUDED - rent includes all utilities (gas, electricity, water), unlimited internet, Netflix on the main television. There is no undercover parking on offer however there is street parking available with a residents permit. PETS - We have a very friendly (and non-shedding) 10 month old labradoodle named Winston so you have to be an animal lover. Unfortunately due to the terms of our lease we are unable to take any other pets. LOCATION - We are located a 5 minute walk from Milton train station and Park Rd, very close to the CBD and Universities, with a park at the end of the street and IGA around the corner. Note - I have not included any photos of the bedroom as the current occupant is in the process of packing up, however I will post some as soon as possible! If you have any questions or would like to come and take a look around please get in touch!
Hello, my name is Sophie. I am from France (born in the West Indies). I come for a few months (for the moment) in Brisbane to improve my english...and my life (VWH)! I will looking for a job as soon as possible. I am a friendly, easy-going person who respects other people. I am able to be social yet have my own space. If you offer, I am ok for swap the rent for doing a few hours cooking and cleaning per week. I like a clean space and house. I like pets, specially lovely dogs.
I've been renting for 5 years already, able to keep a place tidy. I'm able to cook, have my own furniture and am not too loud. I study engineering and science at UQ while also working part time. I'm looking for a place close to public transport with sociable and friendly people.
Hello there. I'm Lenin Jacob from India. I'm 23. I'll be coming to Brisbane on 17th February, as I got admission into UQ. For the initial days, I'll be staying with one of my friends, yet from 25th February, I'll need to live separately. I can only afford a place that is around $140-$160 per week (including all bills). Likewise, I don't smoke. I don't drink. I don't have a pet. I have no gender preferences for my flatmate. I could live with both, male or female. Let me know if you're interested in further negotiations. I might be happy to stop for a moment to chat with you.
Hi there! My current lease expires at the end of December and I'm going on a short holiday in January so I'm looking to move into a new place by mid-Dec. I'm an easy-going, friendly, and tidy housemate. Most of my time at home is spent relaxing, but I'm a student at UQ and work in hospitality so I'm not at home all day, every day. I'm not a party animal, but I do have a social life (haha) and enjoy getting together for a couple of drinks every now and then. If you've got any questions, please ask away! :)
"She's sweet. Funny, open. A really pleasant roommate." - Jemima, 2014* "Witty banter for days. Mostly at her own expense." - Arnold, 2013* "Looks like it's going to rain. Better bring your washing in" - Mum, 2016* *All quotes are true, names have been changed, but the people are real, although they may or may not have said these things loosely during off the record conversations. Happy to pay up to $250 dollar bills a week for: A private room of my own in a nice relatively new or renovated place with a yard/area appropriate for playing fetch. Ideally, I'd prefer my own bathroom. Happy to share a bathroom if it's with one other clean person. Sorry, but this gal is too old to share a bathroom with 2+ people or a house with 4+:) Learn a bit more about me below. And, ya know, hit me back, just to chat, truly yours, your biggest fan, this is(n't) Stan. What makes me great to live with? Well... I rinse out the chux when I've finished cleaning the dishes that I haven't left sitting on the sink for 1+ days. I love cooking for others and sitting down to a nice meal with glass of red. Sometimes the glass of red is the nice meal. Don't judge. I believe pretty firmly that garlic bread is life. Don't worry, I'm not a total slob-kebob. I meal prep, eat relatively clean and go to the gym in the hopes that someday I will have that #summerbod everyone keeps going on about. Plus it supposedly prolongs life. Fun fact: I'm a decent human who understands the concept of personal space so won't go looking through your room/things. Funner fact: This is probably because I'm too lazy and would much rather watch Netflix. Funniest fact: Funner isn't a word. Saving the best bit for last - I have a sidekick by the name of Duke Nukem; a nearly 2 yr old teeny 3kg mini fox x pinscher rescue pup who is a ball of energy one moment and passed out the next. He's quiet, but has barked at the wind (or ghosts) once or twice. He can also hop 3-4 feet in the air, generally because he's curious to see what's on your dinner plate on the table. He means well and I'm sure you'll love him nearly as much as he'll love you. We're a rad pair looking for equally, if not more so, rad people to make a home with in the new year. I know I said 2016 was gonna be my year, but I've got a reeeeeally good feeling about 2017. What makes you so great to live with? Well... I'm hoping you're a positive / emotionally stable person, who prides yourself on paying bills before they're due, are kind and laid back 90% of the time, are down for a good laugh and great conversation, and if you eat my food you really mean it when you say you'll replace it. Bonus points if you've got a pooch of your own who is open to making a new puppy pal. If ever you're out of town, I'm happy to feed and love the little puppa, and I hope if ever I'm out of town, you'll do the same :)
Full-time professional, fit, healthy, clean and tidy, animal friendly, studying part-time. Prefer own bathroom and car park in a new/near new complex within 5km of the city. Pool would be a bonus!

So I wanting to move out my current place by the beginning of January. Most of my friends aren't in the position to move out with me. 😒 I'm looking for 2 or 3 people to move into a house and call it our own. Based in Paddington, Milton, Red Hill, Ashgrove and Wilson. So if you are interested please don't hesitate to message me and send me your details. Let's hang out, get a coffee or a cocktail. See if we gel and all that jazz. A little bit about myself. I like getting into mischief :) I would consider myself a social bunny. I'm always procrastinating doing my uni work and rather be hanging out on the deck with a drink in my hand or literally anything. I'm easy going , open minded and creative person.
Hi! My spouse and I just moved to Brisbane from the US (San Francisco, California). We are new to the area and needing a place to live. We are planning to stay for about 1 year (not longer due to visa limitations) and looking to make a 3 - 6 month commitment. We are currently not working but job searching. However, we have been saving for quite some time so we can afford to live comfortably for the next few months while job searching. We are prepared to pay a bond plus a few months rent up front (to secure our place and insure our commitment). We are very active/outdoorsy and do a lot of traveling. Therefore, we are not at home most of the day. We love our personal space but also love a good BBQ around a pool where we can socialize. We love animals and would love to have one as a roommate. We would prefer not to share a bathroom and to have air con.
I'm a 21 year old qualified Graphic Designer, studying a new degree at UQ. I am bubbly, out-going and always keen on adventures. I'm in love with photography and all things creative and absolutely love my wildlife, so hopefully you don't mind me bringing some plants and a an abundance of art supplies. Looking for a place in January. If there is anything else you would like to know about me, feel free to get in touch. I would love to hear for you!

Hi there I'm a med PhD/ neuroscientist (super driven) recently back for the states, to help my folks through a transition. Now it's my turn. (House trained) I read a lot though I'm not really a homebody. I love to hang out, philosophise and have a bit of fun preferably with cool compassionate, empathic, humble, self aware, progressive, respectful people. I’m chill and easy going but passionate and engaged with the world. Life's about being positive and being able to talk to anyone no matter what their perspective but if you dont know who Donald Trump is or think he's a good thing, I'm just not the one for you. Troy
Hello stranger, I currently live in Paddington and work full-time in South Bank and am wanting to keep pretty close to South Bank for convenience purposes. I work in digital marketing and am quite creative. My lease is up end of Jan and everyone from the apartment is moving on. I have my own bedroom furniture. The apartment I'm in right now I found on flatmates a year ago. It's an epic place but everyone's moving on. More than happy to ask for references if that's your thing. A little bit about myself and my lifestyle... Full-time work keeps me busy and I love keeping fit. Bootcamp and gym take up quite a few morning/evenings during the week. I travel a bit with work and while the weather's warm I like to head coastal on weekends. I'm very social but with my hectic schedule also love my down time. I'm quite a chilled person and am open to negotiation when feeling out living with new people. I'm looking for people who have their own thing going on but are friendly and will be nice to come home to. If what I've written appeals to you, feel free to reach out. You can ask me anything. Sib :)
Hi! I´m moving from Norway to Brisbane to study at QUT in 2017. I am looking for a private room in a share house/flat place from the 15th of february. I love being active, but I don´t mind just relaxing with a few drinks or tv shows. Overall I would say that I am a pretty relaxing, tidy and easy going person. It would be preferable to have roommates around my own age (18 to mid 20s), but I can get along with pretty much everyone.
2 bedroom house in great location behind Suncorp Stadium and The Paddo. House can be furnished or unfurnished depending what you have. It has an open plan kitchen and a large balcony which is nice for an afternoon chill. Has a back yard and off-street parking. Parking permits are also available for the area. Plenty of storage. Walking distance to the bus, train and city. Close to shops, restaurants and parks.
Hi there :) My name is Ash, I'm 18 and currently studying at QUT and working part-time at Bunnings (free snags). I consider myself to be quite a friendly and easy-going person who enjoys socialising but also likes some time to myself. Mature-ish for my age. I enjoy having a coffee (or five), having a drink (or ten), spending time with friends, going to gigs and exploring the region. Don't mind some casual drinks but not looking to move into the next Project X. Very clean and tidy. Not a terrible cook. Current lease ends mid Feb so looking to move out around that time. Send me a message if you think we'd be a good fit!
I'm Jack! currently living in Kenmore and looking for a place in or around the city to live for a minimum of 3 months. I'm self employed and usually out of the house for at least 5 hours a day. I like to stay pretty active, love getting out of the house on little adventures but at the same time love just chilling in the house watching a movie or playing some video games. I'm generally out and about all weekend. I'm a closet nerd and a massive fan of all sports. I cook all my own meals but happy to have a couple of shared dinners a week. Ideally we would be friends because I'm always down for a chat, movie, workout, or a trip down the pub! Looking to move in on the 10th of jan but happy to move in earlier. Cheers!
Hey everyone, my names Nic I'm 22 and am looking for a new place in brisbane. I work full time and study part time. I enjoy going to the beach, surfing, hiking and keeping fit. I am clean and easy to get along with. I am very social but also enjoy some time to myself. I am looking for a place with people who are clean, relaxed, easy to get along with.
Hello, my name is Celine and I am 20 years old, from Norway. I will be an exchange student at QUT the 1st semester of 2017. I study engineering and i take my studies seriously even though i also like to have fun and go out in the weekends. I´m really looking forward to get to know Australia and Brisbane. I´m respectful and understanding as well as tidy and clean (even though a little mess every now and then never will be a big problem for me). I am very active, social and outgoing and I´d love some new friends who can show me the city! I´m looking for a private room in share flat/house with roommates around my own age (early/mid 20). I´m looking for some social roommates, who also are interested in getting to know me and sometimes do some activities with me. As i said it would be nice if you also had some sense of tidiness and respect, but I also like to socialize and have friends over in the weekends so it would be nice if you are fine with that (or are joining in). So hopefully you want a new flatmate and friend, like me, to share your days and apartment with! /Celine
