Hi, I’m Ren, a 31-year-old from China. I arrived in Adelaide in mid-March and I’m starting my Master of Social Work at Flinders University at the end of July. I’m looking for a room available in early September, around $220 per week. My current lease ends on September 12. Ideally, the new place would be a balanced distance between the university and the city centre—within a 30–40 minute bus ride to Flinders—and close to a supermarket. I’ll begin my social work placement next year and may buy a car by year’s end, so easy parking is important. A bit about me: I studied journalism in my undergrad, then worked as a reporter, bookstore manager, and in corporate learning and development. On weekends, I enjoy walking, hiking, reading, and listening to music—although right now I spend most of my time studying. I’m an introvert who values quiet and cleanliness—I always keep my living space spotless. My English isn’t yet fluent, so I may hesitate or struggle to find words at times, but I enjoy chatting once I warm up. I don’t smoke or own pets, but I love cats and dogs, so I’m happy to live with them.
