I'm a young professional working in media and communications moving to Melbourne from Adelaide, looking for short term accommodation while I find my feet in a new city and lock in something more long-term in the near future. Living independently for the last 6 years I am a clean, bubbly housemate who pays all bills on time, keeps communal spaces clean of my things and am generally pretty laid back. When i'm not at work i'm usually out with friends at dinner or movies, gym, or with family so i'm rarely lingering around the home.
I'm reliable, tidy, friendly, can cook (not a masterchef tho!) & pay my bills on time. I'm willing to pull my weight with the cleaning & am respectful of others needs & privacy. I'm a Kindergarten teacher and do agency work within northern & western suburbs. In my spare time I like to catch up with friends, go shopping, go to the movies, go to markets or visit family in country victoria.
Hi everyone this is David. I work full time in the city as an accountant. Really easygoing and laid back. Usually, I will be at work or in my room studying, or at my friends' place. If you want to have a quiet, neat, friendly flatmate, you've found one~ :)
I've just moved back to Melbourne from the Gold Coast after almost 2 years away, looking for something mid/long term, with just a couple of housemates of a similar age, guys or girls, who are clean and casual. I'm laid back, very social and quite active, clean and tidy and understand a need for good housekeeping. Not really much of a tv watcher, and I spend most weekends out of the house, though if its a nice day outside, having couple beers in the backyard aren't going to go astray either. I like cooking up a good feed and I'm happy to cook for more than one. I have a 4 yr old Carpet Python that is extremely social and well handled, though i understand snakes aren't everyones cup of tea, if it makes you feel any better, the enclosure locks and she hasn't got opposable thumbs so it's very hard for her to escape! Plenty of photos on Instagram link. I have taken a few weeks off before i start my new job in civil construction, will be working mainly the M80 upgrade and Citylink works. Will be working up to 6 days on site so really want to be able to come home to a relaxing environment. I like working on my car, or doing any car maintenance, I cant remember the last time i paid a mechanic to do something for me, so I would REALLY like to have a garage space or at very least, under cover off street parking to keep my ute. My other car is just a run about and not fussed where it's parked, be it on a kerb down the street, under a tree, in a tree, bloody whatever. The ute is currently in storage, but it can't stay there forever, so would prefer to have it with me in Melb. I'm on the left in the photo!
Warm and welcoming period brick home in the heart of Moonee Ponds. Close to public transport, Puckle Street shops and Queens Park. The house includes a large lounge with quality furnishings, air-conditioning and gas heating as well as a study. The kitchen is retro with modern appliances and has a fabulous walk in pantry. The backyard is huge with a large covered/heated deck, outdoor dining area with BBQ and beautiful gardens. Ideal for entertaining or just relaxing. I'm looking for a reliable person who can pay their bills on time and can clean up after themselves. Unlimited access to the Internet and Netflix included in the rent.
Located in the heart of Moonee ponds, surrounded by all the shops, cute cafes, and restaurants. Woolworths is located just 5 min walking away. Transportation is super convenient as moonee ponds junction tram stop is just at your door step, and moonee ponds station is 8-10 min away. As you could see in the picture, it is a new apartment and has spacious living and dining areas, trendy appliances and fittings. It comes with 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom, 2 parking lot! You will be taking over my previous housemate's room who will be leaving on July 20, so room won't be available till then. The lease for the apartment is until september 1st however, im planning to renew the lease for another year. Hence, the room is also suitable for someone who is looking to stay for a short term. Room is unfurnished, however all the other common areas such as living area, kitchen, dining area are furnished. Common area for the apartment is located in our rooftop sky lounge, facing melbourne city's beautiful skyline and surrounding suburbs. No min / max stay 🙂🙂
Hi, I'm a full time Myotherapy students, Part time remedial massage therapist and a yoga teacher. My schedules are full and I look for a place where I can call home. I'm a good talker but after long-day of work or study require me to hide from the world with Netflix, pot of tea, sleep. I don't want a place to just sleep though and I like having chats here and there with housemates. I do love movies, book, wine (more of drinking with people but very bad at drinking lots) and coffee. I'm interested in health in general and mind-body stuff due to my passion and study but I 'm not fuss making rules for myself. I just like to enjoy the moments and navigate life with joy. I do have a beautiful boy cat who is very quiet (he only meows when I come home) and old soul. He is scared of everything for some reasons so he doesn't make troubles like knocking things down or making a mess. I have furnitures for my room so unfurnished room would be great. I can move pretty much anytime, ideally I would love to move in before 6th of August. I'd love to hear from you if this sounds like what you are looking for.
I have lived in quite a few sharehouses over the years. I am friendly, clean and respectful. I am a writer and study creative writing at RMIT. I am vegan but not fussed if you aren't.
Hey there pals! I'm looking for a private room to move into before September 10. I love the Moonee Valley area and would preferably like to stay put around here or somewhere nearby. I just left studies in creative writing at La Trobe and am working as an administrative assistant and developing my own business selling prints of my art. I spend a good deal of my spare time at home in my own space, painting and drawing. Because of that, I might be wrongly perceived as reclusive to some but I always love having a good chat and am always up for doing things as a house. It'd be great to find a place with roomies who are likeminded and also enjoy that sense of company and actually being friends with who they live with. I also love yoga and am learning guitar. I'm a tattoo addict and Seinfeld is my go-to show. I appreciate a clean house and am very respectful and I always have money for rent and bills in time. I don't have pets but would love to be pals with yours if you have any! Excluding rats and mice and ferrets and shit. Not into that. Message me if this sounds like I'd be right for your place :)
I’m an outgoing but laid back person who works a hell of a lot of hours but when I’m home I love to kick back, relax, cook some food and binge watch tv. I like my own space but also love the company of housemates over a shared meal and a couple of drinks. I’m definitely a clean housemate to live with, which is a bonus. I’m always keen for spontaneous trips so I’ll be down to just drop everything and go for a weekend away with my housemates
I am currently working in aviation in customer service at Perth Airport, and moving over to Melbourne to be a long haul International flight attendant. (my training commences in late July ✈️👍🏼) A bit about me... I have been in aviation for 3 years. I love to socialise, love making new friends, and love to explore!). Ideally looking for someone who understands shift work/(is in the airlines too if possible), likes to go out for a drink sometimes, likes to keep fit like go for walks, and more importantly is clean/clean-ish! And I guess if you're nice that's a bonus too!
In search of a housemate to fill the second bedroom in a cute 1940s place 10 minutes from Sydney Rd. Room will be available at the end of July/beginning of August when my housemate moves back home to Brazil. The room is medium sized, gets lovely afternoon light and looks onto the backyard trees, and is unfurnished; would comfortably fit a double or queen bed plus a desk and drawers or similar. There is a built in robe in the room plus space in the hall closet if you need. The street parking permit is available, or the carport that I am currently using, negotiable. Within a 5 minute walk are: Puckle St with Coles, Aldi, Kmart and all the cafes and small stores you could ask for, the train station and a five stop ride to the city, the bus interchange with several bus lines regularly running to the northern suburbs, the 59 tram to the city via Melbourne Uni and only a few minutes to the weekly Flemington Farmers Market. Queens Park is also at the end of the street with a swimming pool and a pretty lake for picnicking.
I work Full Time, and ride a bicycle for the rest of time. I'm not really home much, but enjoy just coming home, cooking, having a bath then going to bed. This means generally I'll keep to myself, because of the long hours out and about, but I do enjoy sitting on the couch and watching TV or a movie with someone. I'm a fan of horror movies! I train for cycling every day, and sometimes ride on an indoor trainer as well. It's not very noisy, and I wouldn't do it whilst people are asleep. I own 5 bikes though, and would need some space for them! I want a cat, but know it won't work too well until my work arrangements change! I'm not in a rush to move out, as I've lived out of home for a few years, and have now just moved back in with family. I have a bed, some bookshelves, and that's about it. But willing to start new house and purchase majority of stuff if needed!
Hi, I'm 22, well travelled and have a wide variety of experiences. I'm pretty easy to get along with, clean, and well organised. Currently enrolled as a full time student, but take advantage of semester breaks and days off to work, so I'm usually pretty busy. That saying, I'd like to find a housemate that I get along with, and could share the occasional drink or dinner with on a quiet night. As a bit about what I like to do, I like keeping fit, and plan to compete at Crossfit over the next few years. I try and learn new things, and am currently enrolled in German lessons as I'd like to do exchange there in another year or two. I grew up riding motorbikes and mountain bike riding, and from time to time I go camping with friends, and I love the odd solo hike through the forests. I'm always trying out new things to see the best of what life has to offer. Not a big party goer, but if I have some friends going out and I'm not busy it's a guaranteed yes! Looking for something that's pretty long term, and ideally has somewhere to park my ute as I occasionally need it to travel to work. With the right place, anytime between 01/08 and 20/08 as a move in date works for me. Please give me a call or send me a text if you'd like to get in contact. Thanks
Hello, I work full time in the Community sector. Ideally would love a modern apartment / townhouse with a spot for my car (on street is okay). Happy to share with either male or female. 😊
I'm a professional pilot looking for a medium term accommodation in order to settle into a new job in Melbourne. I am married with a daughter who are living interstate. I am leaving my own house to find a place to live in Melbourne which has the same homely love like cleanliness, well maintained, safe location and within 30min of Essendon. The start date is not confirmed yet
Hi! I'm Emma and looking for a place preferably in the inner suburbs, close to work and training. I'm currently working part time at woolies (yes can get you that sweet 5% team member discount ;)) and do acrobatics (gymnastics) 4 times a week, so I'm pretty busy and between the two don't have much free time. I'm pretty chill, clean and enjoy some nice banter once you get to know me
Easy going full time professional looking for accommodation in Essendon or surrounds. Recently finished 8 months travel around Australia so I have a few stories to share. I'm pretty focused on work during the week but don't mind a few quiet drinks and a bbq of a weekend. Not sure of length of stay required yet, but likely 3-6 months. Contact me for more info. Cheers...
Relocating from NSW to Melbourne for work. Looking for accommodation for a few months prior to my partner moving down. Working Monday to Friday. Looking for a relatively quiet house near public transport. Pretty easy going, enjoy sport and the odd beer. Mid 20's, have lived in multiple share houses before, clean and honest.
THE ROOM - Can fit up to a queen bed, has a split system air conditioner, a double mirrored wardrobe and a nice sized window. THE BATHROOM - You will have your own, very modern bathroom with a large shower, toilet and sink with storage cupboards underneath. (your room being on the bottom floor will only be shared with the garage and the laundry that is in the garage so it will very much be your own space) THE SHARED LIVING SPACE - Is a modern, spacious and bright area with a toilet, study area, kitchen, dining and living room that goes on to a balcony which will have a little sitting area and BBQ. We have it all fully furnished and stocked up. We will have unlimited wifi, and keep our bills to a minimum which varies slightly each month. We are looking for someone likeminded who cleans up after themselves in the common areas and is easy to get along with and also enjoys a social catch up from time to time. There is a tram stop only 50 meters from the front door and a Moonee Ponds Station about a 15-20 minute walk. There is also a Coles supermarket and lots of other shops, cafes and bars close by. Also a public outdoor pool and a lovely park close across the road.
Hi, I'm Maria! Im 26 and working full time in facilities and maintenance management. I also work in retail on the odd weekend as a casual, which I really enjoy. Clean and tidy, which goes without saying. Quite the extrovert, love having a chat with a wine/IPA, but also happy to have a quiet night in with a book/Netflix binge. Currently living in the western suburbs, and looking to make the change to the east to be closer to work (Richmond). I never really know what to say in these things, so if there's anything you want to know, please ask away! Hope to hear from you soon :)
I am fun and outgoing, love a chat and to sit down for a meal with the people I live with. I cook and bake a lot. Very clean and respectful. I also like my quiet time to sit down and relax to watch my shows. Study part time at RMIT in the city and work part time in retail. In my spare time I like to bake and cook, love going out for a meal, tv shows, movies, adventures, on weekends I am usually with my partner or at work. Walking distance to tram or train lines is a must. Not interested in a party house, looking for like minded people to live with. $700 a month including all bills is my max budget. Female only households!!!! Looking for a room with built in robe. I also have all my own bedroom furniture. So will need a decent size room as I have a queen size bed, dresser, bedsides etc.
