    MARIA

    $350/week55 year old woman

Maria, a highly organized and tidy full-time professional, is searching for a tranquil place to call home. I can consistently pay my rent punctually. I tend to be quite low-key and introverted. I do not drink, smoke, or use drugs. I AM NOT A PARTY PERSON. However, I am fine if my flatmate enjoys a glass of wine, provided they do not overindulge. I typically leave for work around 6:30 or 7:00 am and return home between 4:30 and 6:00 pm from Monday to Friday. ON WEEKENDS, I PREFER TO STAY HOME. I take pride in being polite, honest, caring, friendly, and respectful, and I expect the same from others. I hope to find a housemate who is non-judgmental, culturally open-minded, and down-to-earth. It is essential for me that my roommate is stable, drama-free, and does not see me merely as a source of rent or disappear without notice. I have a fondness for dogs and cats, although I do not have any pets myself. However, I would prefer not to be asked to feed or walk dogs when my housemate is away. I am looking for a room with an ensuite or a private bathroom, or a granny flat, along with adequate wardrobe space. I PREFER THAT THE MATTRESS AND BED FRAME BE PROVIDED, but if not, that is acceptable. I have my own furniture, but I do not wish to move all my belongings until I am certain about the place and my housemate. I expect a good heating and cooling system in both the house and my room. I EXPECT THE RENT TO INCLUDE ALL BILLS. I prefer to rent directly from the homeowner. Thank you, but I am not interested in subletting a rented property. I am looking for a long-term stay if I like the place. If my bond goes to RTBA, that would be ideal. I require a quiet and peaceful environment, not a space for hosting dinner parties, movie nights, or frequent overnight guests. If you wish to do it, I will expect to have a couple of days advance notice. I would appreciate some pantry space for my food, seasonings, and dishes in the kitchen. I HAVE MY OWN DISHES AND CUTLERY, BUT I hope the landlord will share kitchen utensils. I also require some room in the refrigerator for my food or a dedicated fridge for tenants. A reliable internet connection and both on-street and off-street parking are crucial. If someone who is around my age and wish to team up and rent a place, I opne to discuss about that. Please feel free to contact me. I appreciate engaging in conversations with others, yet I tend to be quite introverted due to cultural gap and language barriers. I trust that my housemate will honor my need for personal space, privacy, and time alone. If you believe I align with the type of person you are seeking, please feel free to reach out. Thank you.

    Stefan

    $250/week30 year old man

A bit about me: I’m Stef (he/they), 30, queer, and currently working in mental health while studying psychology and drugs and alcohol (work and study in Footscray and have a car). I’m tidy, queer, love plants, cooking shared dinners sometimes, try to go to the gym or classes at coburg leisure centre, going for a hike or bike ride, a boogie once and a while, or having a chat over tea or bevvie. I grew up in Northern Melbourne then spent a while backpacking the world, speak broken Spanish and Mandarin, and am quite independent, and can be a little neurospicy at times. What I'm looking for in a home and what I'd bring: I really value personal space, and knowing how to coexist respectfully. I would bring 8 years of experience living in sharehouses and shared spaces, and really value homes where people are kind, communicative, sex positive and easy going. A calm, social home with a balance of connection and independence, somewhere I can feel part of a community but also have space to recharge. I would bring wheels (can give a lift once in a while when I'm free), no pets, I can bring a plant or two if we need, otherwise I travel pretty light so a few pieces of furniture and a whole lot of potential to fill the space! Also a fan of gardening so can help with that, and love to cook a meal or two to be shared. Fav things about share house living: My favourite thing about share house living is the shared sense of community with mutuality, respect and safety. The little rituals that make it feel like home, the shared laughs in the kitchen, spontaneous chats in the garden, and looking out for each other. Thanks for taking the time to read my application! I'd love to come by for a chat or viewing whenever suits :) Warmly, Stef
