My Homestay in Abbotsford, is a great apartment for International students or workers wanting a very quiet place to live. Its just a 5 min walk to the tram in Victoria St Richmond ( tram 109) which goes directly to the CBD or to the Collingwood or North Richmond train stations which are a couple of stops from the CBD. There are supermarkets, cafes and shops all close by. I have one cosy furnished bedroom with its own private bathroom and double bed available on February 17th. The mass amounts of parkland along the river is amazing, you can walk or ride along one of the paved paths that will lead you into town or you can be a little more adventurous and try running one of the goats trails or even brave some of the mountain bike tracks! At the front of the house is a 3.5 x 3.7mtr bedroom, with rather high ceilings and a large east facing window looking out over the street with its beautiful big Dutch Elms providing great shade in the summer! The room is currently being used an office, however bedroom furniture can be provided should it be required. This huge warehouse conversion has so much space - the photos don't do it justice. The location is great, tucked away right near the corner of Victoria and Church Streets. The 109 and 12 trams into the city are a 2 minute walk away, the 78 tram down Church Street is a 1 minute walk away. North Richmond station is about a 10 minute walk - even quicker if you get the tram. The bedroom available is a large double room with a walk in wardrobe. It comes pretty much fully furnished, including a bed and a table. The rest of the house is fully furnished, and includes a fusball table, bar and ping pong table. It’s SO close to the city - 15 - 30 minute walk depending what side of the city. I walk in to work and save a lot as I don’t need to catch public transport. There are so many bars and cafes around - there is always something happening in Collingwood. The building is around 12 months old and everything is new and clean. It’s a really quiet and apartment, I can hardly ever hear noise from the street or neighbours. Also has air conditioning, a dishwasher, and a new washing machine / dryer.
