I'm a 29 year old composer/musician/filmmaker from New Zealand. I work 4 days in a music shop, and spend my other days out and about, working on projects with other writers/illustrators/songwriters. I'm clean, tidy, relaxed, and a good communicator with a love for swimming, reading, health/nutrition, having conversations about philosophy/psychology and just generally learning about the world. I often like to cook with/for friends, and having the odd sing/jam with musicians, but I'm also very respectful with regards to my music-making - it's mostly acoustic stuff or choral. I'm looking for a long term home and am flexible with move-in date. If you reckon I might be a good fit feel free to send me a message :)
A little bit about me....so I'm 31 and arrived in Melbourne at the start of November. I visited here last year and totally fell in love with the city so wanted to live here longterm. I'm working as a Studio Manager for a design agency which is working out really well and just generally loving settling in! I'm looking to make friends as well as housemates so it's hugely important to me that I find the right fit. I'm pretty sociable yet sensible Monday to Friday and love quiet nights in, dinners, running and a casual glass of wine. On the weekend I like to let my hair down a little and go out for drinks and the odd night out or exploring the outdoors. Saying that though, I'm 31 and the nights out are becoming less and less so I definitely don't want to live in a party house. I'm chatty and sociable but also pretty independent. I'm incredibly tidy so living with non-likeminded people would be pretty stressful for me. I'd say the most important requirements of my new pad are good people, relaxed vibes, tidiness and a good location. I'd love to meet you and see if I'm the right fit for your home :)

Hey , I am from California, 31 years young, and been living in Melbourne for 4 years. Looking for a friendly warm home with chilled wonderful people. I am into the outdoors, music, rock climbing, surfing and camping and the odd festival. The following would be some good indicators we would be a good match: - Flatmates that hang out a bit at home or outside on occasion - Kitchen is full of delicious smells and occasional dinner gatherings (I once opened an Outback Steakhouse in the middle of the desert, opened from 4am-7am serving sous-vide roo sliders) - House is not full of couch potatoes in front of the TV - Clean house with uncluttered common areas I design user experiences in health technology and have no problems paying rent on time and helping with any tech needs. In my free time I practice acupuncture/massage and design brass jewelry. Warm Regards Eric
I'm moving to Melbourne to start university next year at VCA in Southbank, and am looking for any nice place to live. I'm somewhat introverted and quiet but easygoing and up for socialising, and I'm also easy to get along with. I am a photographer and love art, music, films, games, and pretty much anything creative. I'm also vegan and an animal lover, and great with pets.
Hi, I am looking for a share house with friendly people as I need a new place to live from January on. I am working full time at a University in IT and like spending my spare time with friends and playing sports but also like to have a good chat with my flatmates. Beside of that I'm a clean, tidy and easy going person. The preferred length of stay is flexible, I am happy to discuss longer or shorter, the move in date is also not fixed, basically looking to move in January. I have a lovely miniature schnauzer together with my ex-partner so I would welcome the option to have the dog living with me full or part time.
Greetings! We are a couple in our late 20s, on the look out for another couple (any orientation) or single. We also have a beautifully friendly, well trained 3 y.o. staffie named Gravy. He will probably melt your heart. Fair warning. We live in a lovely, fully furnished and bright house in Northcote. The house features an outdoor spa (perfect for chilly nights!) under a couple of palm trees. Enjoy a drink on the front or back porch while listening to the birds chirp away. An open plan gourmet kitchen that leads to the spacious dining and living areas, and a study/music room. *Please note that one of us is a performing musician, so this space is used semi-frequently for solo practice (guitar, violin, occasionally drums), and about once a week for full band rehearsal. However, there are other shared spaces away from the study/music room. If you need absolute quiet all the time, this house is probably not for you. Just getting that out there early on!* The room going is has built in wardrobes and good morning light. It will be empty and can comfortably accommodate a double size bed. If you are a couple, it will be $292 a week. Modern bathroom with a full size tub. We are all about the comfy couches, and the house has three of them to enjoy. One is a pull out bed, and we're a guest friendly house (family and close friends). Watch the game (of thrones) on the flatscreen, or for all the music enthusiasts, a pair of Paradigm speakers to crank the tunes (we love our vinyl records!) The backyard is quite sunny, and there are couple of egg laying chickens in a run/coop down the side of the house. Located just a stone's throw away from the marvelous Merri Creek park and CERES, this is the perfect spot for anyone who wants the balance of city and outdoors. A 5 minute walk from the train and tram, you can be in the Melbourne CBD in 20 minutes. Multiple buses are just one block away as well. Everything you need is within a 10 minute walk - world-class restaurants, trendy shops, live music venues, galleries, and cozy cafes. We keep the house pretty clean, and ask that you do too. We find that a 24-hour grace period for dishes/general messiness etc. helps keen the harmony in tact :-) We do ask you respect the shared spaces by not leaving a mess behind for longer than that. Looking to live with people who are happy to pitch in with gardening and household to-dos. This generally ends in beers and high fives. House bills are split evenly. 300gb broadband wireless internet gets the job done nicely. A little about us: Greta and I have happily been together for 5+ years. We both work 4-5 days a week (out of house around 8am-6pm), and usually have weekends off. We like to cook most nights, and get out of town when we can. We both love science, exploration, music, red wine, the wonders of the universe, and plotting the demise of Pauline Hanson. We enjoy having an open home, where friends can pop in for dinner or a beer throughout the week- we would want you to feel welcome to do the same! We also value sleepy times and generally don't make much mischief on weeknights after 10 or so... (we have a neighbour with a toddler who can't handle bass-heavy music through the week after 9pm). Greta (28 years old) - GP doctor by day, super chef kitchen extraordinaire by night. In her spare time, you can usually expect to find her watching puppy videos. Will (29 years old) - I've been living in Melbourne for 4 years, and am originally from New York. I'm an active musician, and work as a furniture removalist during the day. Hugely competitive scrabble player. Gravy (3 y.o. human, 21 dog years). Cuddles and walks. Staring contests, especially involving food. Good with pretty much anyone and anything (but terrified of cats). In his words: Boof. Hnnggggg. Bwoof.Spa Gourmet Kitchen Study Back Yard Washing Machine Dishwasher Dog Chickens Built-in Wardrobe
Hi, my name is Lauren and I currently study Naturopathy full-time at Endeavour College. I am very passionate about my studies and my interests outside of study include cooking, bushwalking/hiking (and any variant of outdoor exploring activities), making my own natural herbal remedies and socialising! I am originally from Sydney and made the move to Melbourne early February 2016 to start a new chapter of my life and complete my degree. I believe that I am a very considerate flatmate. I am not new to share-housing and I always clean up after myself and am very considerate of other flatmates. I really look forward to meeting anyone who is interested in living with me!
The home is a 3 bedroom house share, We have a spare bedroom for visitors. Great sized backyard with established herb garden.(If you want to do more, feel free!). It's a great place to relax and activate some Vitamin D. Front yard (with lemon tree) great space also. We, the current housies, are 32 y/o Jono and Tammie. We both individually have full time work. We like a house where socialising, discussions, glass of red, shared meal etc can be had. Of course respect that this is each person's personal space where chill out is possible and respected. Great location for commuting and living, 5 min slow walk to either Northcote or Croxton Station, "St Georges Road Trail" for bicycle and number 11 tram there also. Northcote Plaza and number 86 tram is a slow 10 minute walk. Friendly cul-de-sac. (we get to know the neighbours here :)) Any gender, with similar age preferred. Really depends on the person, so feel free to chuck us a line. We are looking for someone who wants to live in a house with other people, not just have a room in a house with other people.
Hi, I'm Tess and here is a bit about myself. 25 yo, just graduated from architecture school. I'm passionate about art, cinema, music and of course design, basically anything creative. I'm currently working as a freelance designer while negotiating a full-time role in architecture hopefully starts early next year. I'm house trained, clean, sociable, but also respectful to people's personal space. Often spend my weekend out hiking or hunting for good gigs. Always up for a shared meal, occasional drinks or a boogie with good tunes if it's your thing :) I also enjoy quiet time just working or chilling with my laptop. I'm currently looking for a room in a shared house for long term stay, a place I can call it home :)
JUST MADE THE MOVE TO MELBOURNE ON NOVEMBER 4TH! I'm a 31-year-old female from the beautiful town of Telluride, Colorado! I am here on a Working Holiday Visa because I want to learn all about coffee, the Australian way. I work as a head barista and ran a couple of my own small businesses back in Colorado. I am extremely fun to be around (very sociable), but I also am very understanding and considerate. My friends call me "Mom" because I take care of everyone. I am clean and dependable (I always pay rent way before it's due). I like to go out, have quieter nights in, but don't mind the occasional dinner parties (I love to cook heaps)! I love traveling and getting to know others from different cultures, so I am very excited to meet more Aussies! I used to live in Wellington, New Zealand, so it makes sense that I should make Melbourne my next home! I am open to any housing situation, including subletting, but I prefer to have my own room.
Hey potential roomies! I'm Jacinta. I'm 22 years old and currently seeking a place around Northcote/Thornbury as my current lease ends in January. I'm studying Media and Communications at Latrobe University and working around 4 times a week at a restaurant/bar in Preston. I'm looking for a queer friendly place, I have a girlfriend that you will see very often! I'm looking for not only a house but a family home. I would like to live with lovely people who are social and keen to hang out/cook dinners/drink beers, however respectful of privacy and downtime. In my spare time I'll be out in the sunshine, riding my bike, hanging out with friends, etc etc. I'm tidy but not a freak. I like plants, listening to records, drinking coffee, reading and watching occasional shitty reality TV. I would either be keen on starting up a shade house or moving into one. I'd love to meet you! Love, Jacinta. X
Hello, I'm Rachel, a 28 year old kiwi girl looking for a place to call home in Melbourne. Preferred areas: Northcote, Collingwood, Abbotsford, Fitzroy. Available from 17th November (earliest). I would love to find a friendly/homely household who enjoy each others company at home (and perhaps a bit of shared cooking), but of course also respectful of space and privacy. A little about me and my interests: I am a nurse and currently employed full time. I have just returned from London back to Melbourne for work, after a fun-filled year of travel and adventures. I like bike rides, yoga, markets, espresso martinis, cafe hopping, the beach, cooking and eating delicious food, and I love going on fun weekend getaways. If you have a spare room in a friendly house north-side please get in touch! :)

Hi, I'm Emmilee! I'm currently a student and next year I'll be studying social work at RMIT in the city. I also currently work part time. I'm looking for a room in a sharehouse that isn't too far from the city as I'll be travelling there quite often for Uni. I also need a room with an ensuite as I like my privacy quite a bit. My max budget is $200 but will go to $220 including bills. I'm very clean and tidy and roommates that are also clean and tidy is a must for me. I'm not very loud, and I tend to stick to myself most of the time.

I would preferably like a one bed or studio but i am open to sharing with the right people, i dont mind a drink and a laugh but i am here to finish the book first and foremost. I have been in Melbourne on and off for over a decade, I am from the UK and I have a scouse (Liverpool) accent, you will get used to it or we can communicate in hand gestures and interpretive dance. all the best Mark
We are Nat & Quinn, a 27 yr old female (gay) and a 6 month old kelpie. I run my own business as a graphic designer and work in the city, and Quinn goes to puppy day care 5 days a week and is exhausted after a run at night, so is a very quiet little miss of an evening. We go on adventures all weekend, and tend to cuddle up to a book or a movie after work. Quinn is well manured, minus a bit of jumping up to say hello, but that's getting better with constant training. I have my certificate in dog obedience so i am always training her new manners. I spend my weekends and spare time training Quinn, walking and running, coffee drinking, and brunching. I spend my time at home reading, designing (drawing) and just hanging out. I'm super chill, and would love to live with similar people ✌🏼️ if you'd like to know anything further, please don't hesitate to contact me. thank you Nat
I'm Canadian on a working holiday visa in Australia for a year! I love being busy so truthfully, I won't be home too much. And when I'm home, I'm usually sleeping, listening to music, or watching Netflix! I love music and work in the industry, so shows and concerts is where I'm usually at! Living with me would be easy-- I'm nice, clean and fun, but also laid back at the same time!
We're a young professional couple with two dogs. We're looking for someone who's interested in saving money or getting debt free to help us do the same and the long term team/friendship that comes with it. We have good taste in music, food and people, but I guess everyone thinks that they do... We moved to Melbourne in October and want to team up to get a nice place as close to the city as possible for the best price possible - with a yard for the dogs (Tell him he's dreamin'). Steve: A Canadian Engineer working in Southbank and master of the meme, Steve's pretty stereotypical Canada in a lot of ways. He's an outdoorsman and fly-fisherman that does engineering as a necessity to fund his addiction to chasing fish. Also an aspiring ninja that hasn't reconciled the fact that his luminary childhood dreams of world domination will most likely never come to fruition. Sometimes prone to write SJW stuff online. Mic: Mic is an Australian that works in retail management for a national chocolatier. She's keen on live music, animals (her Facebook feed is literally about 75% raccoons, dogs and otters), a major foodie and Beatles fan. If you don't understand or empathise with the plight of women in the modern world, swipe left - or whatever you do on Flatmates... Mana and Mocha: Mana is a 4 year old brindle staffy X who has mastered the art of the guilt trip. Having easily the most expressive dog's face you'll ever see, she likes to lounge around or run around or do anything fun really. Her favourite place to be is snuggled with someone - or the park, or... y'know what? She just likes to be Mana, wherever that is. She does fart a bit, though. Mocha is a 4 year old tan kelpie with OCD. Whilst waiting for her food or begging for yours, she can be easily fooled into chasing a ball instead, which can then be used to your advantage to eat in peace or get her to go outside, etc. She's a snuggle magnet with a turkey neck. Great for winters in front of Netflix, but sometimes she gives you this really judgmental look, like "What are you doing with your life? Stop watching Mad Men and go outside for a bit." *Disclaimer* Not to be political, but we're left leaning tolerant people that don't subscribe to bullshit norms and get pissed off by cruelty to animals, which means that you can complain to us about your problems and get support to chase your dreams, but we won't clean up your shit or entertain revisionist bullshit that puts Tony Abbott on a pedestal. Hate isn't welcome in our lives. If you don't genuinely like dogs, it won't work - guaranteed. Oh, and Sunday morning is for homemade pancakes. It's a ritual. Sometimes I'll make crepes instead of pancakes, but it's usually pancakes with homemade mascarpone and some sort of fruit or chocolate sauce we've made. I can always make more to feed the house.

Hello, I'm a young hardworking professional from Nigeria. I'm hardworking, intelligent, social and fun to be with. I'm very tidy and clean, and also respects privacy. I'm accommodating, friendly and easy going. I need a PRIVATE room for rent in Melbourne City and surrounding suburbs to move in ASAP!!! I'll be happy to live with clean, tidy, happy and friendly flatmates or housemates. Do not hesitate to contact me with suitable offers. Thanks.
Hello! My gorgeous housemate is moving out on/around 15th January and I need someone to take her place! Looking for a female housemate - sorry men! Available is a medium-sized room with built-in robes in a cosy flat in Northcote on Rucker's Hill (Cnr of Clarke St and High St). Your bedroom won't come furnished, but the rest of the house is! (Also totally happy for you to bring whatever furniture you like, and we will make room for it and can rearrange the place so it feels like home to you). It's a beautiful, recently renovated and light-filled apartment that stays nice and cool in summer! Everything is pretty straight-forward - large living/dining room, good-sized kitchen and bathroom, shared laundry, plenty of places to secure a bike, and on-street parking (there is a car space but my car uses it. We could chat about this if you need it). We're lucky to live in an awesome location - down the hill you have Westgarth, with the beautiful Palace cinema, restaurants and cafes and an a-maz-ing gelato shop (Seriously. Best gelato in Melbourne. Even better than Messina). In the other direction is High St in all its glory - Northcote Town Hall, Northcote Social Club, heaps of pubs and bars with live music, restaurants, groceries, quirky shops, etc. The 86 tram is right on our doorstep and Merri Station is a 5min walk. We also have an amazing view of the city from our driveway, so the New Years Eve fireworks are pretty special from here! About me: I am a writer and theatre-maker, and next year will be returning to study my honours. I'm a classic introvert, and am usually at my happiest reading or writing in my bedroom. I am most comfortable with housemates who won't be offended if I run off to my room for hours on end. Having said that, I also really enjoy social gatherings or sitting in front of a film and will often be out and about with my friends on weekends and weeknights. I have a boyfriend who stays over a couple of nights a week; on the upside I stay at his a couple of nights a week, so you'd get the house to yourself a bit! I love cooking, and will likely thrust baked goods upon you on a pretty regular basis. I'm a really relaxed housemate with a great sense of humour, and I'm really open to discussions about how everything runs in the house. Rent is $215p/w ($869pcm) + bills (about $90 per month for electricity, gas, water and internet) I'll get you put on the lease, which currently runs out next August with opportunity to renew. We have great landlords and a really helpful agent. Room is available 15th January (or thereabouts). Sorry, no men! I'd prefer a female aged 22-30 (but don't let age stop you!) Give me a text/email/call and we can arrange to meet! Looking forward to meeting you. Cheers, Laura
