Hello! I'm Flo, from Scotland and Michael is from Perth, W.A. We are looking for a fun and friendly new share house. We are vegan, ethically minded folk who have 3 adorable pet rats so our new home must be rattie friendly. We're happy, mindful, laid back, respectful people. Home is important to us and we are looking for a place to be proud of. Both of us have had plenty share-housing experience and understand the necessities of being a topnotch housemate. We love cleaning, sometimes we play rock paper scissors to see who gets to do the dishes, really. Also we are pretty dedicated dumpster dive masters so there's often plenty of savaged food up for grabs! I really like plants, gardening, music, and a good old chill sesh, Michael is a keen photographer, cyclist and d.i.y'er. Both of us enjoy cooking and spend a fair bit of time creating taste sensations in the kitchen, totally up for sharing meals now and again. We both work full time day jobs and enjoy getting out amongst nature for camping trips when we can. Feel free to send me a message if you would like to know anything more.
Currently moved down from Brisbane, am quiet type but friendly and get along with most folks. 45 yo, non-smoker, love doing my own thing on computers and hanging out with various people when I'm feeling sociable :)
Two of are PhD and Masters Research students at RMIT and other one is at University of Melbourne. We are quiet and clean and tidy would like a place calm and neat as well. We'll be in the Uni's most of the day. Like to have some fun time once in a while as well without any harm.
I am a boss at cleaning the kitchen and living / communal spaces ! I can cook simple meals and love to share a glass of wine or a meal , as well as respecting personal space . I don’t have a boyfriend at the moment , so I bring just me and my awesome sense of fun :) I am looking for my first long term rental / out of home and hope to find a clean affordable space with up to two people to share with ...
I love to cook, clean, put on some music, enjoy a glass of wine and can entertain you with terrible puns! I have just moved back from London, looking for great new flatmates to make Melbourne my home away from home.
Hey there! I'm 29 year old chef from Finland looking for a nice place to live in while i'm still in Melbourne. I've lived here for the past 6 months now and looking for a place for the last 3-4 months. I'm social, active and looove cooking all kind of vegan stuff ( eventhough I'm not a fully vegan though). Working full time, respect one's privacy but open to have a glass of wine here and there. Really easy going and like to keep my place clean and nice to live in. Hope to hear from you soon!
Hi Guys, I’m looking for a place as I am moving to Melbourne beginning of November. I’ve been given the opportunity to transfer from Perth to Melbourne and continue working in my current role for 12 months. I’m looking to explore, chill with some wine, listen to good music and make some friends.
I am an open and friendly old soul. The three things i love most are people, art and the environment. I have a little bit of experience in share houses, as i have lived in mine for more than 2 and a half years now. I consider myself as responsible and tidy so you’ll never have to clean up after me. Typically, i am completely sociable and love having any and every kind of conversation. Whether that’s over a meal, herbal tea or drinks i am down! I love the feeling of community and the idea of sharing with others but, with that being said, i also enjoy my own energy from time to time and will also be respectful of the personal spaces of others too. As an (LGBTIQA+) identifying person, having a safe space and caring environment is at my core. I believe in acknowledging everyone’s needs and putting in the work to make a house a home. At the moment i am working casually in front of house spaces and engaging in community initiatives. If you would like to know more, please don’t hesitate to message me. Faith :)
Hey , I’m from Sydney, currently working as an Event Coordinator. I’m friendly, clean, easy going and considerate. I live a healthy lifestyle , I go out with friends to bars and restaurants on the weekends or stay home and watch Netflix. I’m always happy to talk, but also respect space and privacy as I hope for the same. Im looking for a private room , and it would also be great to find a roommate who lives a similar lifestyle and doesn’t party too hard. I’ve been sharing for many years and found good communication to be the key to a functional and happy household😊 If you have any questions please feel free to message me. Thanks !

40, landscape architect, currently full-time in the CBD. Though I'm looking to study part-time and work 4 days/wk. I’m on a health kick this year, so I’m up at 5am every weekday and off to the gym before work (I’m very respectful and quiet in the morning). I enjoy my career, so often I’m a late worker or school night lectures, and asleep around 9:30. I’m a very deep sleeper... (have fallen asleep on the train ride home and woken up at the end of the line!). So you wouldn’t have to tiptoe around my weekday schedule. Weekends are as the wind blows, love a Netflix night in, a whiskey with mates, or a drive to the country for a hike or a swim. I’m neat and tidy, but not germ-phobic. Look we’ve all dropped a carrot on the floor, rinsed it, and used it in our dinner am I right? I’m respectful and can read people well. Happy to follow your lead if you’ve got the ‘i need quiet time’ face on. I’ve also got a comfy car named Kiki if you’d like a lift to the markets or a dip in real ocean water... Port Phillip Bay is no substitute. I prefer LGBTQI housemates, if only for some affirmative action and world domination scheming. I’m a decent home cook, and happy to share meals. I do have months where I’ll eat anything and everything (more gym to make up for it!) and months where I enjoy the discipline of 5-2 or keto. I’ve got bedroom furniture only, resigned the rest in a recent breakup. I adore pets, unashamedly I’m a crazy cat man. My beloved Sophie passed away this year so I would be thrilled to live with another furry companion if you have pets.
I'm super respectful of people's space, I need alone time to recharge (introvert life) but I also love a glass of wine and a chat. I work as a high school English teacher, I love my job and it affords me the ability to be financially responsible. I've lived by myself for a year and I have lived with housemates before and I understand how important it is to be mindful of others. I'm from werribee, I work there but I want to put a healthy distance between me and the suburbs (and parents). For fun I like to go out and try new food with friends, watch films, I'm not sure - I guess it depends on how tired I am.
Just off the Northcote High Street, the apartment is walking distance to Coles, 86 tram, train, cafes, bars and restaurants Great location, very new, only constructed this year. Room and house is fully furnished with modern furnishings. You will have your own bathroom. Possibility of extending length of stay after 6 months.
2 BED/ 2 BATH, light filled ground floor apartment up for grabs LOCATION: Corner of High St and Beavers Road. On the 11 and 86 tram line. BUILDING: Brand spankin’ new (we’re the first tenants), suuuper secure (in fact, so secure I’m still having nightmares about the time I walked out in slippers without my keys), Bicycle Thieves (the newest cafe by the guys behind BAWA Cafe and Sloane Ranger) is in the process of being underneath (or for you, down the hall), a great rooftop with that Rucker’s Hill view of the city + BBQs, picnic tables and sun lounges. I can confirm that the rooftop is as great for early mornings cups of tea and journaling as it is for boozy cheese boards with broken-hearted friends. APARTMENT: The master bed has a floor to ceiling, wall-to-wall window so it’s incredibly bright. It also has an ensuite and walk in the robe. Second bedroom has a BIR and the main bathroom is right next door. Being a new building, everything is eco-friendly so bills are uber cheap. European laundry. It’s ground floor so there is a ‘uuuge courtyard that goes the length of the apartment and we’ve been the most careful with flinging off those sticky picture hooks so everything is as clean as a whistle. Also, BUILT IN FAMILY-SIZED SMEG FRIDGE! Put yours on gumtree and use the money to buy an expensive celebratory bottle of bubbly and pop it over our freshly mopped floors. I’d like to add (because I think it’s important and particularly in an apartment building) that the neighbours are lovely and while they’re great at making themselves scarce most of the time, the gentle bustle of people close/‘we’re both at the door so now we have to chat’ chats are very wholesome and grounding. COFFEE, BOOZE + BRUNCH CLOSE BY: Tinker: opens early, great batch brew. All Are Welcome: Sparking water on tap. Always dogs. Poke The Bear: Very good lunch soups + Wide Open Road coffee Joe’s Shoe Store - spicy margarita (duh) WELL IF IT’S SO GREAT, HOW COME YOU’RE LEAVING? HUH? Well ladies and gents, it’s none of your damn business. No, really. It’s been great but being originally from Sydney (don’t hold it against us), we needed extra bedrooms for family come and stay. It’s sad and regretful but it’s not the apartment, it’s us (pinky swear it.) THE NITTY GRITTY: Rent: 530per week/2303 per month. Lease ends in January 2019 with an opportunity to renew. Available: From 8th of October, 2018.
My partner and I are 22yo and our friend Kyle is 18. We are all very relaxed, opened minded, and are looking to move closer to the west/north side (with some exceptions). I work in Australia post in sunshine and currently live in a Pakenham (It’s insane I know!!). We are all relatively private people, and like our own space but do love to socialise and hang out. We all love the outdoors as well. My partner and I have a dog named Hannibal, he just turned 1 and don’t let the name fool you, he is the biggest sook for affection ever. He just wants love, kisses, cuddles, and maybe some of your food ;) (but don’t worry he does not beg). He is fully house trained, very obedient and short furred. Brad is currently studying and looking to work with me after his studies, hopefully by next year. Ideally we would like to all have a room of our own, but my partner and I are also happy to share one larger room together. Being close to public transport would be great, as none of use a car. Closest to train stations would be ideal, if not any buses work too. Hopefully we are what you are looking for :)
I'm Irish and moved over here last October. I lived in Fitzroy for 7 months and then moved to SA for 3 months. I moved back to Melbourne because I love it here and I'm hoping to be here for another year 🙂 I'm 25, fully house trained as I've lived in share houses for a while now! I'm pretty chilled out during the week with a Monday-Friday 9-5 job (I'm always down for a Netflix Binge) but I like to go out exploring on the weekends. When I'm at home I love cooking and baking! I like keeping things clean and really just want a place that feels like home that I enjoy going back to. Thanks for reading this (I know you'll have a lot to go through!) and if you have any questions please let me know! If it helps, I come with plants 😛 Cheers!
Looking for a some good folk to move in with. 2 or 3 people max. 30 years and over or mature late 20s folk. Don't mind living in flats or apartments but would prefer to be in a decent size 3 bedroom townhouse, house or Unit. Busy with work during the week (utilities pricing models and organisational transformation) and have plenty of family and friends in Melbourne - hence I may not be home most days earlier than 7.00. Weekends I have a fairly hectic social life so I'm out most of the time. My interests are the occasional visit to the gym (generally to see if anything's changed), watching sports, golf, political-satire and the ever eternal quest for a decent wine shop in the area. You'd be surprised at the some of the stuff people say to flog you a bottle !! Not interested in a party house - my London days are truly behind me. I have a place being built at the moment but unfortunately it's a little too large for my needs and will probably rent it out to a family as its school zoned pretty well. Plus I cook awesome south indian curries (That's right ... not just you're average Indian!!) and occasionally get mum to sort me out with a decent week's ration - which I'm happy to share. You'll never do Indian take-away in your life. I guarantee it. So .. If you're interested, PM me.
I'm from Brissy and have just been offered a new role in Melbourne and will be looking to move into a room for 6 months. I work fulltime in aviation and will be working in Tullamarine, so looking to base myself in easy distance to the airport. I am social, but also like to have my own down time and respect everybody's space. Love wine, cheese and coffee so will happily fill the kitchen with these goodies at any chance. I will often be flying to Brisbane to be with my partner, and every few weekends he will fly down to stay with me for two nights so we get to see each other, happy to discuss this with potential roomies.
The house is a two minute walk from fabulous High street in Northcote. There is a great community vibe and lots of places to explore! There are three train stations (Merri, Westgarth and Northcote) close by and the 86 tram that can take you to Collingwood, Fitzroy and Melbourne CBD. The house has a lot of character with high ceilings, wooden floorboards and plenty of indoor plants. There is a large living area with a gas heater that works really well. There is a separate kitchen with gas appliances and a dishwasher. The bathroom has a shower and a spa! There is a laundry with a washing machine which leads to a cute outdoor space for summer hang times. The house is fully furnished so you only need what is required for your room, however we are open to more indoor plants :) We split the bills three ways- gas, electricity and internet.
I currently study at Unimelb/VCA. Looking for a new place and to move out relatively soon. I'm 24, a fairly soical guy, but definitely love my own space. I'm very clean, organised and respectful as a house mate. For the most part I'm pretty focussed on school and am there most of the time, 5 days a week. I also love to cook. Usually on the weekends, if I'm not working. I'll go see theatre, check out a festival or two, or play some tennis, squash or indoor soccer. I like the odd tipsy board game night with housemates and am always down for watching a movie or just chatting. I'm pretty efficient about moving out and have a good rental history. So let me know if you have any questions. Warmest regards Hugo.
Hi! As a couple we’re looking for a room! We met each other during traveling. I’m (Tess) Dutch and Callum is English. We’re both looking for a job in Melbourne (hospitality/retail). I love food and like to spend some hours in the kitchen. Callum is a musician. He plays guitar, sings and writes his own music. We’re both very easy going and interested in Melbourne’s music scene. We like to go to gigs, drink some beers or have an easy night at home and watch a movie or play cards. We’re friendly, flexible, chatty, tidy, crusty and like to do things together your our flatmates!
I'm easy going love cooking, am sociable but not a party animal and have always gotten on well with flatmates. I love meeting new people and flatmate outings but I also respect personal space. I like tidy kitchens and communal spaces and bake lots and am always happy to share my treats with my flatmates. I work a lot and also have other activities going on so I'm not home a huge amount either so no fear of hermitting!
