Oaks Estate is a beautiful semi rural suburb on the outskirts of Canberra and Queanbeyan. We are on the edge of the Molongalo and Queanbeyan rivers, close to shops and pubs and an easy drive to Canberra. The house is a lovely, light filled, airy, spacious, 1960's Canberra double brick style. It is a fully furnished family home with a huge back yard with lots of large trees and veggie patch. The house works well and is very comfortable. It has a modern feel as well as many reto features including the original bathroom with it's lovely big bath. Although there is only one bathroom there are two toilets. The neighbourhood is quiet and safe and very friendly and the street is lovely with a small park, large gum trees and a great walk around the river. There is plenty of storage space for extra furniture if you want to bring some of your own and rearrange things. The room is a inclusive of all bills.
Large house - 2 lounge rooms, Large kitchen and dining area. Easily maintained backyard with a second outdoor dining are and a covered BBQ area. We have storage under the house and have included internet in the price as well as an optional carport. We have solar heating so bills are cheap as well as an easily kept front yard too. The master bedroom is the room up for rent with its own bathroom (bedroom and seperate hallway entrance.) The bathroom will be yours but will drop the price if willing to share. Smokers are allowed, but cannot smoke in the house. Like stated before, rent is $225/wk but negotiable, however $225 will include your bills. Bills are paid quarterly and we have 2 outdoor dogs and a cat, so pets are considered.
We are currently looking for a new housemate to move into our spacious three bedroom house in Queanbeyan. Nathan and I are 23 years old and went to school together, now working full time jobs; I studied a design degree at ANU and now work for a Canberra design company. Nathan works as a public servant in the Department of Finance. We are both super laid back people that enjoy hanging out and having a laugh but also binge watching netflix and going out for beers. We are both active people and play social sports every week. Our house is at the end of a quiet cul de sac street ,it’s a 15 minute drive to civic and less then 10 minutes from the airport. The room available is spacious with lots of natural light and a built in wardrobe. There is parking available behind the house or on the street. Rent is $180 + Bills. We have NBN, heating/cooling and gas cooking!
Im cool and easy going. I like to keep shared areas clean and tidy. Give me a chat if you wanna team up. Im only looking for a female housemate. (Preferrably one housemate only but pets are fine 😊 as long as theyre clean ) I am a smoker so I need a housemate who dont mind a smoker housemate. Id love to share a glass of wine after a tiring day at work. Im cool with anything as long as we get good communication and things will work out pretty well. (Bills, rent, internet etc) Im an international student who just graduated Cert IV in Patisserie and finishing further studies next term. Im looking forward to move in as soon as possible.
Hi! I’m new to Canberra, I’ve just moved from Sydney. I love dogs and good food, and am easy going. I don’t mind a chat, movie or a glass of wine, but respect and appreciate people’s privacy and my own space too! Would love to move into a place asap. I’m currently working in the parliamentary triangle on an interim position until the end of April!
Hannah, almost 18. Lover of animals. I have been in a long distance relationship for 2 years now and I have decided it's time to move close to my boyfriend. Preferably southside Canberra but I am flexible! I currently work as a pharmacy assistant in Jervis Bay and I am studying my Cert III in Individual Support online. I don't drink, do drugs, or smoke. I love my boyfriend so it must be okay for him to stay over 2 or 3 nights a week. He is almost 19 and doesn't drink, do drugs, or smoke either. The date I plan on moving depends on when I get accommodation, the one I provided was just a general guess! More than happy to answer any questions and give my Facebook details for easier conversations. Thanks!
I'm a quietly friendly writer/ Freelance journalist. I'm quite introverted and addicted to my laptop and tend to be a quiet mouse in the house- I like a place with flatmates who just let me do my own thing, but there may be the occasional catch-up/ social with flatmates. I'm a single non-smoker, and have no pets or children. I never leave dirty dishes, I always clean up after cooking. At the moment I've lined up some housesitting from Feb 9 to 19 and from March 21. so I'm looking for short term options until Feb 9, or for the period Feb 20 to March 21. Please reach out! Thanks
Hi I'm Lachlan, I'm working full-time in the public service and am seeking accommodation ideally in the inner south/north of Canberra, though I'm open to anywhere. I'm friendly, easy going and have a good sense of humour. I am quiet, clean, mature and respectful of my co-inhabitants and ideally want the same in return. When I'm not at work or out exercising, I like to relax and watch Netflix, watch sport, play video games and read. I have a 3 year old well-trained Kelpie with me, so I'm looking for somewhere that is pet friendly and ideally has a yard. I'm happy to socialise and have quiet drinks. Cheers :)
Hi Im Gerard, I am moving down to start a new career in consulting after a career in the Army. Im 32 years old and vert active, I love the gym, boxing and hiking. I'm super clean and tidy, very friendly and love to cook. I will be away alot so you may not know you have a flat mate 😀.
My name is Tom and i have recently moved to Canberra for work within the defence industry. I am currently looking for a place to live as currently i am staying in googong with some good friends until i find a place. I am a very active person who spends most afternoons at crossfit or mountain biking. If i sound like someone you would like to share your home with or would like to know anything please let me know.
I moved to Canberra in 2011 and have been working for the APS ever since. I've bought a place here so I'm looking to rent until I move into it in August 2019. I'm an awesome housemate because I can keep to myself and get involved with the house. I'm housebroken and have lived in share houses previously.
Quiet and self contained, outdoor smoker. am only looking here because i cannot afford to live alone. I have a project car, and my only requirement for a place is it having a lock up garage for me to work on the car.
I am a social person who likes to also have her own space and can respect others also need space. I like to laugh and have a good time, I do not party but a casual red wine never goes astray. I am a clean person who likes to be organised, not anal about it, just don’t like mess :) I am a big animal lover too!
