$300/week29 year old male

I'm originally from New Zealand and I've lived in Brisbane since 2016. I have spent this time living in shared apartments, so I'm accustomed to the responsibilities of shared living. I’m highly reliable when it comes to keeping common areas tidy and taking great care of the residence and its furnishings. I’d hope for the same from any potential flatmate(s), but at the same time I’m not a stickler and will show/expect some tolerance with these things. I work full-time in Bowen Hills – my current job involves doing shift work, which includes weekends/nights. I'm looking to change to a job that's Mon-Fri, but for now it means there will be times I have to get up super early for work, or return home after working a 12h night shift and just want to face-plant in to bed. So it goes without saying that I’m not after a party house - however I'd still like a social place and would love to be able to hang out with housemates to share a meal/drink from time-to-time when schedules line up. I'd rather not just co-exist in a lifeless house. Some hobbies include: - Hiking/bushwalking – I love to drive out to the many trails near Brisbane and enjoy the mint weather we have here. - Travelling – before the recent downturn I used to get away at least once a month, and frequently took time off work to travel overseas and backpack around. I can’t wait til this becomes a reality again. My most recent trip was to Mexico, and my next trip will be to NZ and the USA as soon as its possible. - Playing guitar and bass – I practice at home, but I don't play loudly if it would disturb someone in the house. I play through headphones to practice quietly during those times. After years of living in small apartments I would like to move in to something bigger with more communal and outdoor space, so I’d prefer a house/townhouse to an apartment at this stage. I only have my bedroom furniture, but I can purchase appliances or other items required for the household. Three absolute essentials are air conditioning, own bathroom, and a car space of some sort. Happy to tell you more about myself - just message or call me to get the conversation going.

$200/week20 year old female

Hi! I am moving from Melbourne to Brisbane, (don't worry I don't have Corona!), and I will be arriving around August 5th. Just wanting to put out a feeler for rooms: - Max $180 - $200/week including all bills - Parking access that won't be a pain - Dog friendly as I come with a lovable, clingy, well behaved and house trained 12-year-old Staffie - Easy-going housemates with similar interest and age as me (I'd love to make some new friends) - Furnished is preferable but not essential I'd like to be in my own place by the end of August :) About me: I am originally from Gold Coast but moved to Melbourne a year ago for work as a Flight Attendant and come from a strong hospitality/customer service background. I'm done here and want to come home. I am currently looking for work and hope to land something soon. I am super easy-going, polite, respectful of other people's things, and privacy and up for chat 9/10 times. Sometimes I like to chill out but Ill usually get bored of that pretty quick and end up doing something. I love staying active, such as run and I want to play sports this year if possible haha. I like a cheeky drink with good people and good music and wish to reside in Brisbane for about a year or 2. I come with an old soul of a Staffie who sleeps all day and is super clingy. His name is Bruiser and he is very well trained and behaved. Where I go, he goes so if you can't cater to a dog, thanks for your time. If you're looking for a social, respectful young gal for a housemate chuck me a message! Cheers :)

$250/week27 year old male

Hey! I'm Alex, I'm 27 and I'm looking to move from the Gold Coast to Brisbane. I'm currently working from home but will soon be doing 3/4 days back in the office. I work full time for a federal government department in the Brisbane CBD. My contract is until the end of December but I'm confident it should be extended. A few things that I'm looking for in a house/apartment: - Somewhere near the city (about 3 km from the CBD) - Furnished (although it doesn't have to be this would be ideal) - Room big enough for a small desk - Car park (I'm happy for this to be on-street parking) - Own bathroom (or sharing with one other - I'm very good at cleaning a bathroom just FYI) - Non smokers - Coffee machine (I mean, it's not a "necessity" but definitely convenient) - Close to a few good coffee/food/drink spots I'm friendly, clean and respectful. I like all types of sport and fitness and enjoy going out for food, a drink and live music. I'm also very happy settling in at night with Netflix or a book. I'm currently studying part time so some of my free time is spent doing that. I've got no problem cleaning and my current housemates will vouch that I can clean better than most! I've lived with both guys and girls so I'm happy to share with either; I'm currently living with two girls who will vouch for me if needed! Most importantly I'm after like-minded, clean and respectful people, I've lived in share houses before so I know how to respect privacy and contribute to the house. My budget is about $250 a week. Happy to provide any references or any other info you're after, please get in touch if you think I'd be a good fit for your place 🙂
