HI there, We are looking for two rooms to accomodate ourselves (Mitch & Bonnie (couple) and Tiffany) and our lovely dog Billie (labrador cross). Billie is sweet-natured, well-mannered, and has been house trained. She is taken for a run in the morning and when we get home from work, and is happy to chill out by herself during the day and when we're not there. She is also very, very cute. We all work full time in the APS, are clean, respectful of others, enjoy yoga, gardening and watching trashy TV. Can also cook up a storm. If you need any more info please contact us! Cheers, Mitch, Bonnie & Tiffany.
Hi! My name's Tim I'm searching for a housemate and a new place to call home! I'm 25 and work full time here in Canberra, although I'm originally from Melbourne. I'm an easy going guy who is neat, enjoys cooking, loves weekend chats (wine in hand of course) and I also do plenty of sport and hobbies to keep me busy. Ideally, I'm looking to join a place with a friendly and social vibe or to team up with another person who wants similar things from the apartment to get our own awesome place! I'm up for shared weekend dinners and enjoy the occasional movie night, good book or a night on town. As I work full time, I'd like to have a fairly chilled house Monday to Thursday that gives everyone enough space to do their own thing. I've lived in share houses for a few years now and I'm very respectful housemate's need for space to relax and recharge and am always happy to pickup house supplied and share the essentials. I am looking to get a master bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, but I'm also open to anything that has a roof and good housemates. If anyone has a spot available or would like to look at apartments with me as a team up, I'd love to hear from you! Thanks, Tim
I am a friendly and tidy housemate, who loves a chat over a coffee but also respects other people's space and privacy. I'm reliable and considerate. I will be starting my medical degree at ANU next year.
Managing a retail store in Canberra Centre. A peaceful preferably furnished bedroom with ensuite, clean and tidy.. a place to call home, free from any anxiety or unexpected surprises is what i am after As much as i enjoy a wine on the occasion i am not here to be clubbing, pulling all nighters, or bringing random unknown strangers home around the clock.. In saying that, your life is your business and so long as i can get my sleep we will get along just fine. I am not loud, arrogant and think it's extremely important for you to meet me and make that judgement for yourself. Being able to connect with people of all walks of life comes naturally. Be genuine, honest, reliable and have a sense of humour at the best of times! i am very much straight forward and open to any questions you may have to ask or want to know, so please don't hesitate. I have worked in retail and specifically luxury cosmetic retail, with a diploma in beauty therapy, also qualified as a Allied health professional. This will be my first time living away from Melbourne initially i was seeking to take up accommodation by myself, however after much thought; it would be nice to know i am not completely alone, in saying that its just knowing that there is someone else under the same roof every now and again. Jordan.
We are a respectful and mindful couple to live with, considerate of shared/communal and personal spaces. You can rely on us to do our part to care and clean for the home. Coming from Melbourne, we are excited to explore what Canberra has to offer and would love to be friends with our housemates as well. Feel free to message to get to know us better! Best, Jane & Peter
Hi all! I'm a recent enviro eng grad who is moving up to Canberra to work full-time in an APS role. I'm looking to move from anytime in January. I have no pets, am a non-smoker, I am tidy, I’m also a little bit introverted but I'm working hard to change that! I'm environmentally conscious and I love cooking plant-based meals, which I am more than happy to share (if anyone is interested). Other than that, I'm pretty easy going.
Hello! Joel and I are looking for somewhere homely to live for at least the next year, if not two. Joel works for an environmental NGO and is excited about the prospect of living in an energy efficient home. He likes board games, swing dancing and having friends around for dinner. I'm a public servant working in HR, and like to spend my spare time pottering around, finding bargains and cooking elaborate meals. We're both keen to find somewhere with friendly people who are up for having a chat, a game or an occasional meal together at the end of the day, and are open to starting a new sharehouse or moving in to an existing one anywhere in the inner north. Ideally looking for a house with a nice-ish kitchen and veggie garden potential. Our current lease ends at the start of February, but we are pretty flexible with move dates.
I'm moving to Canberra for a graduate program in January. I've been a landscape architect in Adelaide for 10 years, but now I'm starting from the bottom again. I'm looking for a room in either an established or new sharehouse somewhere in the Inner North. I know exactly four and a half people in Canberra, so I'm looking for some like-minded people to live with to increase my social circle, but during the week after work, I'm usually pretty quiet and keep to myself. I don't watch TV, but I don't mind if you do! I have a cat named Karen who everyone says is 'best cat'. She didn't get into a grad program so her Canberra status is uncertain, but I'd like to bring her with me if possible. I'm planning on bringing my indoor plant and record collection with me, but mainly so they don't melt in mum and dad's shed. I can contribute most household goods if we need to. My hobbies are reading, hodl and going to techno shows. I've been working fulltime and at uni for the last couple of years, so I suddenly have all this free time now that I'm finally finished! In my headphones this week; Space disco, Simona, Neil Young & Beaches. I don't have a paid account, so please contact me if you want to get in touch.
I am a friendly, polite. easy going and open minded person. I always keep my room and surroundings clean. I am respectful of others’ space and value having my personal space and a calm and quiet environment as well. I am 24 year old ANU student studying my final year (honours) in chemistry. My interests are reading, cricket (pretty much all sports) and occasionally watching tv/movies and listening to songs. I do enjoy a nice conversation and a meal every now and then. I do not smoke and have no pets and there won't be any partying either. I can pay rent weekly, fortnightly or monthly - whichever is preferred.
I have been living in Canberra for 2 years now after moving from Brisbane for a graduate role as an Electrical / ICT Engineer. I have been living in an apartment in Kingston/Griffith with my housemate for the entire time and would like to stay in the inner-south. I am in my mid-twenties, friendly, practical, very clean, like to cook and easy to live with. Flexible and happy to chill out and have a chat or do our own thing. I come with a massive movie collection and a good sense of humour. I am looking for someone willing for me to move in month-to-month as I am potentially going overseas for work Q1/Q2 in 2018. Looking to move mid-January 2018
In my mid-20's, looking to move to Canberra from Adelaide in Feb 2018 to start a public sector role. Looking for a place which is fairly central to the city, with parking, and own bathroom. I love cracking shit jokes, and making people laugh. Happy to socialise, but I am studying at the same time as working, so I would also like some of my own quiet space. On weekends, I usually sleep in, try (usually unsuccessfully) to hit the gym, dabble in some baking, or finding something to do around town. Looking for a neat, and tidy housemate. Doesnt mean it has to be spotless, but someone who will pull their weight around the place.
Hi hi everyone! I'm Millie, I'm 22, have just finished up my undergrad at Monash in Melbourne, but I'm from Tassie originally. I am currently working the Xmas period in retail but plan on moving to Canberra sometime in January before starting a grad job in the public service in Feb. I'm a tidy housemate, and have done the sharehouse thing for a few years now! I've spent some time cleaning up after other housemates so I definitely have an appreciation for tidiness (but not OCD) and I'm very respectful of other people, especially in the shared spaces. I am a relatively quiet person and just love to relax after a day at work with or without a wine, watching an episode of whatever is on or reading a book. I do love to occasionally have some friends over and light some candles with the record player on in the corner, but I'll always give my flatmates a heads up and it rarely turns into anything rowdy! On my days off I love to take a trip to the beach to go surfing or venture into the mountains for a nice long day hike. My last housemate had to hide the peanut butter from me, so that may be one of my downfalls... It's just so yummy and self-control can be pretty absent some days. I'm coming up to Canberra January 6th - 10th to do a little scouting and inspect properties and meet people, so if anyone has a spare room and would like to meet, shoot me a message! I then have the one-way ticket booked for Jan 25th, but I'm happy to start paying rent at any point in January. P.s. I don't have any pets but absolutely don't mind if you do!!!
Hey I’m looking to share an apartment in Braddon - I work in real estate and just been offered a manager role in Canberra, so I'm keen to move from Sydney soon.. I love all sports, love dogs, good food and I'm always up for a drink and good company.. and I'm very respectful of personal space and have house shared before.. I'm going to buy an apartment soon, but looking to house share and until mid year... Cheers! Matt
I've just returned to Canberra after living abroad for 4 years. I love travelling, the outdoors and playing sport. I am clean and respect people's privacy but also enjoy down time with my housemates, especially after a long week.
Hi there! I will be moving to Canberra next year working as a full time professional (8am-5pm). I am looking for temporary accommodation beginning February 18th, 2018 till Mid/late April. I'm clean and respectful around the house. I also respect privacy of others but don't mind a small chat here and there :) Hobbies include going on hikes and group fitness classes :)
I will be moving to Canberra in January to start post-graduate medicine at ANU. I have lived in share houses in Sydney's Inner West for almost 4 years, and have lived with a huge range of people. I have an little indoor cat named Eva, and we are looking for a relaxed place somewhere close to ANU or the Canberra Hospital to share with clean but relaxed individuals!
I'm an IT professional who just started a job located in Civic and I'd like to live somewhere close enough to walk/ride in to work. I need off-street parking for my car, preferably a garage. Avid PC gamer, definitely down to play some games if that's your thing, but it does mean I'll need space for a desk either in a reasonably sized bedroom or in a shared space. Looking for somewhere stable that I can settle into long-term.
Hi there, My name is Daniel and I am a 25 year old young professional moving to Canberra from Brisbane on 20th January 2018 for a new job. I am easy to live with as I am respectful of other housemates, clean, well organised, generally quiet but open to socialise with flatmates. I am an avid sports fan who plays social sports with friends.
