Health Sciences/Law Grad moving to Canberra to take up a Graduate job. Looking to live with easy-going people in a relaxed environment. Tidy and conscientious, typically quiet but also like to socialise.
Hello. I'm hoping to move out of my current sharehouse anytime from the 1st January - March, to somewhere in the inner north with a bit of garden space (I'm keen to start a veggie patch). Ideally somewhere with 2-4 other housemates who don't mind the occasional shared dinner and a good chat. I work full time in the public service, and aside from that like trips to the markets/op shop, cooking, trying to garden and watching if you are the one with a gin and cran. if you've stumbled across my profile and think your place may be right for me please get in touch :)
🎸🍸🏍✍🏼🍾☕️🎾⛳️ Social mid-twenties ACT public servant looking to team up/move in for a six-month lease somewhere with a little character in Canberra's inner north while I wait for an off-the-plan build. I like regular bar sessions, eating out (although would be great to cook more and eat in!), golf/tennis/walks and music from the Pixies through to Beyoncé. If you're the type to want to drag someone to the gym, I want to hear from you, because my membership is well under-utilised. If you're the type to avoid the gym at all costs while maintaining an expensive membership, we're likely soulmates and I also want to hear from you. I come complete with Netflix and Stan subscriptions, a smart TV, two (!?) coffee tables, a Nespresso, too many CDs, DVDs, and books, and a front-loader washing machine (currently in storage). I love dogs but am unfortunately allergic to cats. Ideally browsing in Braddon/Turner but happy to look at surrounds! Hit me up for a chat!
Hey, I'm Steph! My boyfriend Andrew and I are recent law grads who are about to start work in Canberra and are hoping to find somewhere long-term. Pros: - Easygoing - above average pizza maker (feel free to call me Masterchef Stef) - Mildly entertaining Cons: - We nap a lot
Friendly | Social | APS Grad | Music lover | Neat | Non-smoker | Relocating from Perth in January | 😊 🌎 🍷 🍳 🎶 📷 🎓 __________________________________ Hey there, I’m moving over from Perth in mid-January to take up a grad position with the Department of Education and Training. I’ve lived with over 1000 people (if you count my time at college), so I’m very experienced when it comes to being a great housemate! Since uni, I’ve also lived with a number of housemates, both girls and guys. I’m a big fan of music and I’m an avid Triple j listener. I’m also really into travel, good food, social sport, photography and having a few casual drinks! I’m a good cook, a non-smoker, pet-free and meticulously neat —but not in a crazy way! Ideally, I'd like to live with 1-3 people, preferably with those of a similar age. I’m a very easy-going and accepting person, but if you’re a Pauline Hanson supporter, or if you prefer smooth peanut butter over crunchy, we’re probably not going to get along! Send me a message if you think I’d be a good fit for your existing place, or if you'd like to team up and find a place. I'm also more than happy to put you in contact with my current housemate if you'd like to make sure I'm not a complete weirdo! Cheers, Sam 😊
Hello! Moving down from Brisbane in early January to start a new APS job/ study part-time at ANU. Ideally looking for a house that is more than a financial transaction. Someone/People to hang out and explore Town with etc. But also totally understand those people who want to respectively sit in silence in their own rooms reading Harry Potter with a face masque. In terms of living together, I have lived in pretty much every type of share house situation now. So sharing chores, communal cleaning and respect are ingrained values. I am flexible on: - Start Date, - Length of Stay, - Room Type, - Bathroom situation and - Suburb. Let me know if you have any questions! Will/
Hi there! Jordan and I are friends moving from Brisbane to Canberra on 28 January 2017 to work in the legal profession. Neither of us has spent much time in Canberra, so we're keen to stay in a cool place potentially with others and get to know the city. We're looking for somewhere to stay for 6 months. We promise to bring bad memes, good cooking and excellent lawyer jokes to the house. Please let us know if you have any questions or suggestions!
I am moving from Brisbane in early Feb 2017 to start a new role, so I'm looking for shared accommodation with some friendly people in Canberra. I've been renting for a few years in Brisbane, so I'm very good at cleaning up after myself, and I'm comfortable living with either guys or girls. As a housemate I am tidy, friendly and considerate, and I am looking for housemates with similar qualities. In my free time I try to get outdoors and go for a walk/hike, and love spending time with friends. Also love getting stuck into a good Netflix series! I have a good sense of humour and I enjoy a good laugh, and don't mind the occasional wine. I'm looking for an unfurnished room, and as a bonus I also come with a couch and front-loader washing machine! (but can put those in storage if they're not needed). I can flexible with my move-in date starting from 4 Feb, but looking to be moving by 19 Feb at the latest. If you think I might be the right housemate for you, I'd love to hear from you
Easy going, friendly couple, she's studying full time and working as well and he will be doing a working holiday visa and working full time. We get on with pretty much anyone. She's Vietnamese, he's English, both pretty chilled and respectfull but equally do like a drink. Looking to move before the end of Jan.
My name is Chaniago, 24 years old. I'm an Indonesian international postgraduate student at ANU. I'll be moving up to Canberra in February. I'm looking for any kind of accommodation. I'm pretty tidy, chilled out, love a good chat and am considerate. Thanks.
I'm moving to Canberra in February to work as an APS Graduate. I'm an easy going and friendly person, interested in sharing a place with someone that I can become friends with. I'm pretty active and love exploring new places. I love all kinds of food and I'm keen to experience the restaurants and cafes that Canberra has to offer. I'm a pretty tidy, respectful and understanding person. Feel free to message me to have a chat.
Changing careers and moving to Canberra for a graduate job in a government department and very keen to make new friends. Very neat and tidy in shared spaces. Would love to be in a house where housemates keen to hangout (i.e. go for the occasional brunch/coffee/movie/drinks etc.) and also happy to have shared meals
Hey yo! Joel here! I'm originally from Malaysia and am looking for a place for me to settle for at least one year while I get my masters done. I'm studying Masters in International Law in the ANU. I will also be working and studying to be admitted into court. Hence, I will be fairly busy in 2017. In terms of being a flatmate, the thing I value most is cleanliness - I like keeping things tidy and clean, especially the bathroom. I respect privacy and hope to receive the same. Having said that, I am a rather social person. I love the idea of sharing a conversation over a meal, or even perhaps doing something interesting over the weekend. I'm pretty open minded and respect diversity in any form. I may occasionally sing in the shower though, so I guess that is something to be aware of. =)
Norwegian embassy intern staying in Canberra for the next 6 months. I've been living in East Asia for the last two years and will go back to China after the summer. I'll be quite busy during the week, but hope to find some easygoing flatmates who doesn't mind eating dinner together once in awhile (preferably mid twenties and older). I'm a big fan of keeping common rooms tidy and clean, and your room is your business unless kitchen equipment mysteriously disappears. I'm fine with a party at home once in awhile, but prefer a majority of quiet weekends and minimum of noise after bedtime.
I'm an APS grad and my girlfriend and I are both good cooks, love movie nights and drinking tea. We are relatively quiet and neat but enjoying sharing meals with our housemates. We have both lived out of home before and bring a lot of furniture and appliances to our next household. I am originally from Launceston and we are making the move from melbourne for work. Our hobbies include gaming, yoga, gardening, baking and searching for the best Japanese food in town.
I've just finished an arts/law degree at ANU and am looking for somewhere to live when I start full-time work in Canberra next year. I'm an easy-going and respectful housemate who appreciates the occasional housemate hangout (hopefully featuring wine/tea and trashy TV) but also understands the need for personal space and quiet time. I've also been living out of home for the last seven years so I'm totally house-trained - I pay bills on time, clean up after myself and know how to share and respect common spaces.
working full time as a registered nurse Very reliable, very clean and very tidy Relocating to the ACT in 2017! 🙃 Not moving down till June, preferably looking for a house with 1-2 other female flat mates! I have no pets but love pets so much 🐶🐱
Hi and welcome to my listing. I am originally an Adelaide girl, with a newfound Canberra spirit. I am interested in living with like-minded individuals... ones that have a love for anything wine and food, participate in life and have mutual respect for the people residing in their house. I am studying occupational therapy and looking for a shared house to call a home during my final placement between 20th Jan - 22nd March. I look forward to meeting potential future housemates. Jessica :)
I am a bubbly 21 year old who was born and bred in Canberra, currently working part time while studying. I am looking to move into another share house/apartment as my lease has with my current housemate. I am a very clean person and enjoy cooking and keeping active as well as being social with friends. I enjoy spending time around Canberra and am keen on being able to make new friends. Although being extremely social I appreciate the need for personal time and space and as someone who both studies and works I also understand the need for me time! I am excited and happy to meet with people who have rooms for rent around the city/central Canberra due to work location :)
Hi there I'm Daniel, a former Kiwi here in Australia working and studying here in Canberra. I'm easy going, very clean and considerate of other peoples privacy. I work as a Taxi Driver so have good social skills and care about my customers. At university I'm doing a bachelor of Entreprunship. So I have great creative ideas. My partner she is Chinese, very smart and kind, enjoys her study and works in retail part time.
I'm University student looking for a room to rent in Canberra over the summer while I am doing an internship. I'm a clean and tidy person, with an easy going attitude. I'm always up to explore new parts of the cities that I am in and try new things! I'm looking for a room ideally from Jan 20th to Feb. Feel free to shoot me a message if you have place available for these dates!
Hey, I'm Karla. I'm a 21 year old law student moving from Melbourne to Canberra. I'm the gal on the right in the picture. I mostly split my time between spending way too much money on quality coffee, going to gigs and trying not to cause permanent damage to my kitchen when I cook. I'm pretty laid-back, clean and I make a mean guac.
Hi there, My name is Anna and I am 22 and moving to Canberra to study at ANU postgrad next year. I am looking for accommodation hopefully within walking or cycling distance of the ANU main campus. I'm pretty easy to live with, and although I study a fair bit I enjoy a social environment- eg. Meals with housemates/ the occasional bev. Would prefer a non smoking household.
I am a Danish exchange student, who will be studying at ANU for 1 semester starting Feb. 14th 2017 in order to finish my BA degree in anthropology. I consider myself openminded and easygoing, fond of travelling and meeting new people. I have been living with different roommates for the past 4 years, and I truly loving living with other people. I also know how important it is to have a lovely living-environment, especially when it comes to balancing between being friends and having fun on the one hand, and respecting privacy and keeping the place clean and a nice place to live on the other.
Hi, I'm Gemma - I’m 29, currently living in Sydney, but moving down to Canberra in January of 2017 to start a Bachelor of Writing at UC. I would love to live in a home that is open minded and friendly ... incidental (or planned!) chats over tea/wine, the odd dinner party, mid-week cook up etc - but also a place where people do their own thing! Home is important to me, and I love doing everything I can to nurture a space. I guess I like doing things that lots of people like doing (!) - reading, movies, music, tea, a bit of yoga, the odd beer in the sun, making chutney, good conversation. I’m relaxed, considerate, clean, and reliable. In an ideal world I would like to move in mid January, but if a great place came up I would be very willing to discuss the possibility of moving/starting to pay rent in early January. As you will notice, I am an outdoor smoker... just wanted to mention that I am (obviously) very considerate of those that don't smoke (I realise it is very rare to smoke these days). My preference is definitely to move into an established sharehouse - largely due to moving interstate. However if a great bunch of people were setting up a house, and the circumstances worked for all, being part of a new home could potentially be discussed... hope to hear from you, very best. Gem
Hi there! I'm a Graduate medical student from the University of Sydney, starting work as a doctor in 2017 as an intern at Canberra Hospital. Non-smoker, no pets, LGBTQI friendly, generally laid back sort of bloke who loves animals, music and impromptu kitchen karaoke.
I am a current honours student at the ANU. I am looking to join an existing sharehouse or team up and start a new one. (I'm really flexible with move dates pretty much anytime between now and February would be fine) I play and/or watch just about every sport, and love, relaxing at home binge watching tv shows and movies, having quiet nights in with a few quiet drinks and good company, And having nights out. I am always up for a chat or a few laughs and am almost always happy to cook. During the summer I am often traveling or skiing overseas otherwise I'm home most of the time. You should message me if you are looking for a fun , friendly , tidy, and organised housemate.
I am a Spanish student who will do an internships in Canberra for 5-6 months, starting in early February. I am looking for a female flatmate(s). I am a very friendly girl, who likes to have conversations over a glass of wine, although I also like to have my own space. I am a calm, tidy and very clean girl. I am a good cook, so I do not mind cooking for my flatmates as long as we split the rest of the tasks. I like to do sport, especially horseback riding and everything that has to do with being in the countryside. I like all kinds of movies and series, so my flatmates will always have a Netflix partner. If you have a flat relatively close to downtown Canberra, and you want to share with a quiet but friendly girl, please, do not hesitate to contact me.
I'm a quiet, private professional person looking to get settled in Canberra before I find my own place. I go to bed early and get up early most days for a run or a bike ride. I'm moving from Darwin to start work in Canberra on January 16. My party days are behind me, but I like good conversation.
24. Work full time in the city. I have been living in shared accommodation for the last ~5years. Respectful of peoples space and privacy. Always keen for a beer or gym sesh. Generally away for a couple of nights a fortnight for work. Keen to be able to walk work. Open to all durations of leases but the longer the better.
Hey, I currently live in Perth and am moving to Canberra for work with APS, would ideally like to find someone who is wanting to share a place together. I enjoy a beer on the weekends, love to watch and play sports, pretty chilled out. Please let me know if you are interested or would like anymore details. Thanks, Anton :)
Hey guys! I'm 23 years old and have lived in Canberra for one year. I'm currently completing my Masters of National Security at ANU part-time and working full-time as an Associate in a government relations consulting firm. I'm super laid-back, love meeting new people, and am very respectful of privacy and space. I also love going out to dinner, grabbing brunch and having a good time!
Professional looking to start a share house with one or two other people. Prefer 30+ and who are clean, tidy and trustworthy. I travel for work a bit so am not always home. Will be relocating to Canberra in Jan 17. Yes, I am in my 40's (insert sad face here) but I am very sociable and am down to earth and love to be able to have a laugh with my roomies. On the flip side am respectful of needing space and downtime. I stay fairly quiet during the week as I am an early starter for work, but do enjoy a wine and a chat, especially by the end of the week !! Love to cook and am happy to share a meal or go to the local ...
Hi all! My name is Laura, I am a postgraduate student obtaining my Masters in Globalisation at ANU. I am originally from the United States, but am quite familiar with Canberra as this will be my second year of uni. I am looking to move closer to the city as right now I feel I live too far, and my modes of transportation do not get me there and back fast enough. Ideally, a 10-minute bike ride is as far as I would have to go. I am clean, tidy, and friendly. I enjoy cooking, socialising, wine, game nights, and some down time. I am looking for a place to call home ideally with individuals who want to be more than just roommates and enjoy some chats and laughs! Looking to move in end of January/early February. Please contact me for this listing through message as I am out of the country until the new year! Thank you!
Hi! Im Bec, I'm a friendly, outgoing full-time public servant who has lived in Canberra since Jan 2016. I like being outdoors, busy and social, but also enjoy having some down time! Hoping to find housemates who want a social house. Happy to live with one person or a few, eager to live close to the city (north side preferably) and move in asap.
Hi I'm Karina, looking to rent a room in the inner north. I'm a full-time public servant working in media and communications. I'm easygoing, sociable and like to lead a relaxed and healthy lifestyle. Seeking likeminded housemates who are similarly friendly, tidy and responsible.
Hello! I'm a 28 year old male public servant looking for a room long-term in the Inner North. Looking to share with public servants/professionals/postgrads. I'm a friendly, easy-going sort of person who has lived in a couple of different share houses and knows the importance of keeping common areas clean and respecting other people's space. I'm fairly busy and am out and about a fair bit. But I definitely think it's important to get to know the people I'm sharing my home with and I'd be keen to live with people who like to hang out for a meal or a drink sometimes. Looking forward to hearing from you! Lawrence
I'm a very easy going student currently studying at UC and working a retail job. I'm easy to get along with, and looking forward to living in a nice group environment - I loved the last share house I was in! Happy to keep to myself if it's a quiet place, but I love to socialise. Always keen to play video games, board games, and just chill :)
Hi, I’m really excited to say that I’m finally moving to Canberra to study a MSc of Climate Change at ANU after spending the last 3yrs working as a geologist in Perth. I’ve lived in a lot of share houses over the last 10yrs and I’ve spent the last 2yrs living solo, so I can happily say that I’m independent, open minded and mature. I’d love to live with people who are more friends than strangers, and we can have a laugh, share a meal and a drink now and again, but also don’t mind if I spend some time alone. My interests are pretty broad, ranging from environmentalism and sustainability, to weight training, rugby, running and cycling, to yoga, theatre and the arts. I’m vegan but I’m completely open minded and respectful that everyone lives their life differently. I’m moving to Canberra in February so yeah this is early but I want to start getting organised soon. Look forward to hearing from you :)
I'm a recent graduate (and hopefully a soon-to-be honours student) from ANU. I'm really clean and am keen for to take part in the cleaning roster or anything as such. I can be quite sociable but I also love personal space for some down time. I work part-time in Civic so will have a steady income to pay fortnightly/monthly rent.
i'm a geographer from melbourne starting a phd in sociology at anu. i come with a bike named nimbus. i have no musical ability whatsoever, but i like listening to those who do. i also like films and i'm currently making a documentary of my own. i speak german and mandarin. i enjoy baking, but don't think i'm very good at it. if you've got one, i would love to be involved in a veggie garden!
Moving to Canberra from Newcastle to start a full time public service position. I'm a laid-back person who likes warm food and chilling out with some good TV. I enjoy a cold cider after a long day and am sociable but also am happy to have my own space.
Hi my name is Michele (Italian for Michael!) and I will be moving to Canberra in January from Melbourne to commence a Graduate Program within the APS. I am an easygoing, friendly, and considerate person who respects privacy. I enjoy chats about politics, science, and global affairs. I enjoy playing sport, especially soccer. Finding a running or swimming partner would be a bonus! I am a Seinfeld and X-Files nerd so I look forward to discussing how George and Scully are two of the best characters in TV. In terms of contributing furniture, I would have a couch/sofa set, tv and some other items if needed. I am looking to live with 1 or 2 housemates if possible, or to also start a teamup for anyone else willing to start a new sharehouse. I am looking to move towards the end of January 2017.
Current landlord has decided to sell their house, so looking for somewhere new to live. I am a 23-year-old Law student at UC; I also work part time. So busy during the semester, but have a tendency always to find the time for a drink and chat. I am hoping to move into a house with good people who enjoy each others company, but at the same time don't live on top of each other.
I am a 27 year old working professional who recently moved from Sydney. I am someone who enjoys a good conversation with housemates but is also someone who likes a bit of downtime to relax. I am a tidy, clean and considerate person who enjoys spending time with friends, traveling and playing tennis.
I like to keep my house clean and uplifting. This also means I'm looking for people with a good sense of the estate, respect, care and humour. Apart from this, I've got a car and an ample amount of living room furniture.
Hey my name's Luke and I'm 19, studying Pharmacy full-time at UC and working on the side. I play guitar and skateboard in my spare time also. However my main hobby is my car. Overall I'm a fun-loving, easy-going and hard-working guy and I'm sure I'll be easy to get along with whoever I end up living with. It might be worthwhile to note that I would prefer a place to park my car if possible.
Hey future flatmate! I'm Noora, a 21-year-old girl from Finland. I'm currently looking for a room close to Civic at least for the next six months, probably even longer. I would also be willing to start a share house or flat if you happen to be looking for a place as well. I work quite long hours as a full time chef in a restaurant located in city. Needless to say, I love cooking and good food and this is something to share with my flatmates as well. Outside work I enjoy training aikido, yoga and other exercise, as well as just hanging out at home sometimes. My other big interest is travelling. I would describe myself as a tidy and respectful housemate and fairly relaxed person who enjoys good company and occasionally having a drink with friends. If you'd like to know more about me, feel free to ask and if this sounds like something you 'd like to live with I would love to meet you in person. Cheers, Noora
Hi, I'm Chris, a 22 year old student from Sydney whose moving to Canberra to commence a Bachelor of Nursing. I formerly lived in a 40 person Housing Co-operative in Sydney called Stucco. Stucco has taught me the value of living in communal spaces, so I very interested in finding somewhere that is lively and homely.
Moving to Canberra from Victoria to work full time. Looking for a place to share. Anything that is reasonably priced and close to Watson where I will be working would be great. I'm clean, cool, fun and hoping to hear from someone soon. I will need a place from January 7. I am particularly interested in teaming up with 1 (maybe 2 max) other person (s) to find a place to share together. Chuck us a message!
