Hi future flat mates! I am a busy honours student studying pharmaceutical sciences full time. Most of the time (Monday to Friday) I am at uni studying long hours. I am friendly, easy going with a smile on my face and I tend to get along with all kinds of people!!I am not really a party person anymore xD, I really appreciate quiet during night hours and I respect the privacy of others! In my free time, I enjoy cycling/working out and watching movies/series. I enjoy cooking but normally I pre-cook all my meals for the entire week in one day to save time xD. I am looking for a private room in a quiet and tidy apartment (not OCD) with no smokers.
A full time uni student attending RMIT Fashion school in Brunswick, preferably looking for something long term (6 months - 1 year). I am a laid back and easy going guy with loads of experience living in share houses. I have good social skills and will comfortably get along with almost everyone. Do like to go out from time to time but not huge on partying and much rather go to a pub for a drink or 2. Very clean and well kept when it comes to sharing kitchen and toilet. Will respect the privacy of other housemates and expect the same in return :) Move in date would be the start of February 2017.
HI there! My husband and I are moving to Melbourne from Texas, USA on 24 January and are looking for a furnished apartment/share. I currently work in architecture designing schools and will be researching with the University of Melbourne for the year. My husband will look for work and/or travel around the country. We are avid travelers (Australia will be continent #7!) who love good food and good coffee - both of which Melbourne is known for! We have both lived in shared houses in the past and love meeting new people. We are flexible with term and would like to stay in one place at least 3 months up to 11 months or a year. We prefer a private bathroom and keep our rent and bills to less than $300pw
Hey all, Im a non smoker, not partier and very tidy. I respect everyone including my housemates and their guests. I work full time in Northcote, I enjoy eating out, travelling the world, playing and watching all sports and also enjoy latin dancing. I dont cook a great deal but if I do is generally a great roast or pasta dish. Im looking for housemates that respect each others possessions and privacy but also enjoy socialising and having a chat or chill out together. (I will share my wine stash with you). I also have a big tv and ps4, and love video games. (prefer to keep in my own room) Ideally id love a private room with ensuite. But it isnt a dealbreaker. Message me soon! Brad
Hi, I'm looking for nice flatmates rather than a fancy place. Just sharing the bills is not what I'm looking for. Having a beer or eat together from time to time would be nice. I'm 32 and open to share a flat with people from all ages. I'm a clean, considerate person and hope you're as well. I'm easy going, like sports, and doing outdoor trips to beaches, waterfalls... I have a car, so free parking on street or on side would be good. I'm working 4 days a week in the CBD and study part-time. Thus I need a desk in my room or another place to study. Would be great to find some cool flatmates or team up with you! Cheers, Franz ps: German, in Australia since 2015, new to Melbourne, like cold beer, football and bad jokes ;)
I am looking for friendly share house, my current lease expires early March so I'm looking for somewhere for late feb/early March. I like to catch up and have a drink or dinner and a chat at the end of the day, so social housemates would be preferable. I work full time in the public service and study part time, so I'm not looking to move into a crazy party house. If there's anyone out there keen to help me stay fitness-motivated, that would also be a massive benefit! In general I am looking for a hygienic house, happy people, wireless internet and good ju-ju are a must. I'm looking for either an established share house or happy to also set up one from scratch with others.
I’m an engineer who recently graduated university and starting fulltime work in the CBD. I'm looking for a place closer to the city with friendly sociable people. I’m a friendly, neat and reliable person who enjoys other’s company but also respects people's privacy. I enjoy reading, video games and anything outdoors.
Hi my name is Elise. I am currently working in hospitality and going back to study next year to finish my Masters of Occupational Therapy Practice. I am looking for a place closer to my current work and future University placement and job opportunities. I like an equal amount of quiet time and socialising. I am friendly, easy-going and hard-working. Looking forward to hearing from you :)
Very easy going and organised guy working at local firm whilst doing masters of architecture. Have been in share houses since moving from country NSW so pretty well trained that way and everything gets paid on time. Complimentary white goods and furniture if there's a hole where the washing machine or couch was. (They can go elsewhere if not) Up for making a good time of things, Drop me a line !
I am from Pakistan. I recently graduated from high school and will now be studying at the University of Melbourne. My hobbies include working out, watching movies, listening to music and last but not least, obsessing over cars. I also like to play sports such as football, volleyball and cricket, as well as track/field. I can be flexible when it comes to sharing a place with someone. I don't drink or smoke, but I don't mind if others around me do either. I am not a vegetarian (for those whom it may concern), and I don't despise vegetarians either haha. I'm also cool with pets. I think the only thing I can be guilty of is taking too long to brush my teeth in the morning, so if we're sharing a bathroom we'll have to work around that. Also, I am a firm believer in personal space. I wouldn't want to intrude anyone's set boundaries of personal space and would prefer likewise in return.
Hey hey :) Im a friendly, easy going chick that enjoys working and living a simple life. I've got a pretty wicked sense of humour and tend to joke around once you get to know me. I see the positive side in the majority of things. Also having an understanding and respect of privacy as well as each individuals life styles is really important. So living with a like minded person is a must. I'm currently living in Pascoe Vale and looking for a change. I do have a tv, with a cabinet that it sits on as well as a couple of bed side tables and looking to buy a new queen sized bed. So I'd prefer a room that could accommodate that furniture. I tend to keep to myself after work as I get pretty tired, though im easy to have a chat with. Im a traffic controller so I usually work big hours Monday to Friday and some weekends. Im happy to clean up after myself and keep a tidy lifestyle as well as participating in the household chores so long as its deligated between the housemates equally :) Im preferably looking to find a place that's got the rent and utilities included together. I've grown up being efficient with my usage so I don't see it fair to pay for others wastage and I will give you peace of mind with that :) Looking forward to meeting the right housemate and answering any questions you might have :)
Hi everyone! I'm here in Melbourne for one more semester so need a room until about June, (move in and out dates are flexible). I study molecular biology, like being outdoors for a climb a hike or just gardening in the veggie patch (sun and temperatures over 18 degrees is a luxury to be taken advantage of if you're from Sweden). Really like to do things myself like making marmalade and pickles or sewing, really keen to learn how to brew beer and dye stuff in shibori style! I haven't got any furniture so a room with a bed would be great. Apart from that, how the room is is not that important to me, more hoping to share the house with some fun and interesting people! Feel free to message me if you have questions. Cheers!
Hi there Im Francesca, Im almost 23 years old about to start my final year of masters. I'm a very easy going, friendly person and get a long with practically everyone. Im very tidy and respectable and am looking to find a place closer to my uni (RMIT Brunswick) as i actually live near mornington! I am not a smoker nor much of a drinker and would love to find a place as soon as possible :)
Hey! My name is Melita, I'm 22 years old and about to move down to study composing at the University of Melbourne. I am essentially the aloe vera plant of housemates - zero drama. So if you're looking for someone who pays the bills on time but is also a good ear and a solid friend, swing me a message. I love: writing music for film, going to gigs, steamed pork buns, getting lost in books, cheeky beers, new stationary, earl grey tea, midnight maccas runs, people who are unapologetically themselves. (Don't worry I write music electronically, so you won't have to listen to my B grade playing haha). Not too fussed about: country music. I'm looking for a homely, relaxed place to live and make some quality friends, so if you think I'd suit your vibe, please let me know ;)
Exercise and health fanatic! Absolutely love animals - I have a little puppy who is well trained and is an indoor and outdoor dog. I work as a personal trainer. Love camping, hikes, dancing, socialising, reading, photographing, yoga, music and travelling amongst other things. I'm generally quite a neat person, but not OCD about it. Life has its busy moments! Super friendly and bubbly!
Work full-time, currently living in an apparent by myself, getting a bit sick of it, lease is going month to month so I can move anytime. Good rental history, already own sofa, fridge, chairs, washing machine, coffee table, tv and a bed. I can sell these if they're not needed. I play guitar and sing every day but I am always considerate of others about times about level of noise. I play footy over winter, love watching live music and like a good drink every now and then.
Hi there! I'm an outgoing American, who works in a cafe full time and is planning on being in the city until December. I'm looking to live in a laid back place with a social roomie or two. I love going to the cinema, going for hikes/adventures on days off and a nice glass of wine or two! I love a good chat, but enjoy my personal space as well. Hoping to find a place asap!
Hi there 🙂 My name is Johanna, 26 years old, from Marseille (France). I am looking for an ensuite or a room + own bathroom in this area. I am restaurant Supervisor at N35 Sofitel Collins street. I work full time. I am a happy and friendly person, very clean, tidy and respectful. I like to have some time on my own but also, love to share a bottle of wine with my flatmates 🍷 I am a vegetarian, healthy lifestyle, animal lovers, do some meditation and.... Love to meet my friends outside. I would need to move by the middle/end of February. Thank you so much. Have a lovely day Xx
I've lived with a lot of housemates over the years at my place in Carlton but am now looking to change it up a bit and move a bit further north or something quieter in the area. I work quite a bit and volunteer at 3RRR as a radio broadcaster. I work as a strategy manager for a branding firm, we do a lot of food and beverage stuff so potentially free drinks on me? I watch a lot of movies, like to exercise and travel around when I can. I grew up in New York but have been in Aus since 2006.
Hi, I'm a full-time philosophy student from Tasmania, relocating to Melbourne this year. I've lived in a couple of share houses over the past few years, and I am a reliable and considerate roommate. My interests are fairly lowkey (my studies, other reading, hiking and running), so I value a clean, quiet, and amicable home environment. Always up for a good conversation or a trip for fresh veg.
I moving down to Melbourne in Feb to start Masters in Development Studies at Melb Uni. I've been living overseas for two years in South Africa & Nepal for work and just returned back down under. My bachelors is in visual arts and used to work as a video editor so I'm a big media and art lover. I am a big traveller and love talking about where I want to go next. I like to think i'm a pretty chill roomie and share house trained. Clean, friendly and I go with the flow. I come with some great share house stories too. I'm a vego if that sways any votes but otherwise I don't really care what you eat. I'm love being active, especially love my weekend hikes and swims. I am looking for a great group of people to live with who are social and love having a beer after work and who can became good pals but with a nice balance of quiet time. It's crunch time and gotta hit the books for uni! My budget is around $200 a week. I'm definitely looking for somewhere long term and a place to call home. Flexible with move in dates, hopefully between 2 - 10 Feb.
Hi guys! I'm a 23 year old part time hospitality worker (Brother Alec in Thornbury) and part time office worker (finance in Moonee Ponds) so paying rent and having all of life's expenses covered has never been an issue. I'd describe myself as chilled out and would be looking for housemates who are the same. I'm not a big drinker but in the interest of full honesty I would just like to mention that I do enjoy the occasional joint before bed. I have shared houses with people before and do of course find personal space and cleanliness incredibly important. On weekend nights I try to get out to gigs to film bands, as I'm an aspiring videographer. Given this a creative house would be amazing but definitely not essential. If you think I'd fit the vibe of your share house I'd love the opportunity to come and see the room and meet my potential future house mates! Thanks, Jackson.
Two 26 year old British creative designers just landed to live and work full time in Melbourne. Looking for two separate rooms in a share house or renting a whole two bedroom property. We share similar interests: photography, creating short films, healthy lifestyle, entrepreneurship, gym, yoga, philosophy, vegetarian, creating electronic music (with headphones don't worry), travel, graphic design and generally always keen to have a few beers and discuss how wildly novel it is to be alive and exploring this planet. So, drop me a message to discuss.
Hey, Looking for a private room, furnished or unfurnished is fine. I've just moved here from Sydney, I work full time in the city. I'm a friendly, happy person. Very clean, and pay bills on time!
I am a 27 year-old interior designer working the usual 9-5 in Collingwood. Looking for a decent sized room long term closer to work in a friendly household, preferably a location close to public transport. I have a budget of up to $270pw incl bills and hoping to move ASAP. I am easy-going, clean and respectful of peoples space, I'm also fun-loving, and always up for a laugh, hang out etc. Work keeps me busy & i often have soccer and other activities lined up for the evenings & weekends, so i wont be sitting at home all day getting in your way. If you feel I'd be a good fit in your home, please dont hesitate to send me a message :)
Hi! My name is Anna, I am a full-time masters of architecture student at the University of Melbourne. I would enjoy a fun, social house - with some shared meals and cooking (I'm vegetarian). I like to focus on study during the week, but also do yoga, go for walks, drink cups of tea and chat, see friends - and I like to go out on the weekends for some beers. I like to keep things very clean and keep rent and bills all happening on time.
(note - I don't own dog per the pic above; we're just good friends...) G'day, I'm Max. I'm 29 and work as a professional in the CBD (9-5 M-F). Have been living in Melbourne for 5 years since migrating across from Adelaide. I enjoy my sport (namely soccer, AFL (go the crows) cricket, tennis, whatever is on...) Home for me is a place for chilling out, whether via some quiet time or a casual chat on the couch with whoever is around. I tend to get addicted to one TV show at a time - currently I'm on WestWorld - and totally endorse sharing such addictions with those I live with. Weekends are variable depending on the season, from being busy with friends, to random travel, to simply sitting on the back porch. I keep fairly active, with bike riding my primary form of transport and exercise. I also tend to play social sports a couple of times a week, and participate in a few fun runs over the year but nothing serious; we're talking 5.40k's here. Have done my fair share of travelling - studied in the UK in an early life for six months and also backpacked around Europe, NZ and Thailand. Plus I drove from Uluru to Darwin with a swag last year!
Super clean, respectful and easy going. I enjoy a relaxed and free environment for all involved parties. Please be smart and like music, we'll get along fine. Prefer living with females, it's just easier. Large record collection.
Chloe - Studying photography at RMIT, working part-time Valentin - Studying international development at RMIT, working part time Interests - travel, cooking and wine Clean, tidy, laidback people who enjoy cooking and having a beer/glass of wine at the end of the day. Not party people but enjoy catching up with friends for dinner/drinks and checking out good food spots around melbourne
Hey there, My name’s Anthony (or as my friends and colleagues have adopted me, "Tony"). I'm a 26 year old Software Engineer and I’ve been living by myself for the last six months but I’m kinda looking to get back into a somewhat social sharehouse that does things (but isn’t too extreme) In my spare time I usually drink coffee/beer and go to gigs, although I’ve just bought a dremel and am wanting to try to get into DIY stuff and probably a bit more into music (i’m a terrible musician). I also try and listen to podcasts and read a bit and just got back from a month in Europe/Russia/Mongolia/China. And I can cook reasonably well too. As an added bonus, I have a half-decent record collection/player and a whole heap of stuff/furnished apartment. I’m planning on culling/selling a fair bit of it but am open to bringing some stuff if necessary.
I'm a laid back and friendly Kiwi! I'm passionate about my creative projects and I have a steady income which keeps me busy. I'm tidy, courteous and hope to add a positive energy to anywhere I move in to! Feel free to message me with any questions you may have!
I'm a 21 year old moving from Perth to start a new full time job with a pharmaceutical company. I enjoy living an active life through sport such as Rugby Union. I enjoy cooking regularly and being social, however do enjoy relaxing watching netflix as well. I am moving to Melbourne on the 1st of Feb and am looking for a long term stay
HI, we 're Elisa and Flavio, two Italian friends looking for a nice spot in Melbourne for max 3 months. We'll both work or study (WHV), so we'll prob spend most of the time outside, but we'd love to have great moments with our flatmates and have fun together. Last but not least , as Italian we adore to cook, so it would be normal to you always find a yummy meal on the table for dinner! Looking forward to meet our futures flatmates. Elisa and Flavio
We're a young professional couple with two dogs. We're looking for someone who's interested in saving money or getting debt free to help us do the same and the long term team/friendship that comes with it. We have good taste in music, food and people, but I guess everyone thinks that they do... We moved to Melbourne in October and want to team up to get a nice place as close to the city as possible for the best price possible - with a yard for the dogs (Tell him he's dreamin'). Steve: A Canadian Engineer working in Southbank and master of the meme, Steve's pretty stereotypical Canada in a lot of ways. He's an outdoorsman and fly-fisherman that does engineering as a necessity to fund his addiction to chasing fish. Also an aspiring ninja that hasn't reconciled the fact that his luminary childhood dreams of world domination will most likely never come to fruition. Sometimes prone to write SJW stuff online. Mic: Mic is an Australian that works in retail management for a national chocolatier. She's keen on live music, animals (her Facebook feed is literally about 75% raccoons, dogs and otters), a major foodie and Beatles fan. If you don't understand or empathise with the plight of women in the modern world, swipe left - or whatever you do on Flatmates... Mana and Mocha: Mana is a 4 year old brindle staffy X who has mastered the art of the guilt trip. Having easily the most expressive dog's face you'll ever see, she likes to lounge around or run around or do anything fun really. Her favourite place to be is snuggled with someone - or the park, or... y'know what? She just likes to be Mana, wherever that is. She does fart a bit, though. Mocha is a 4 year old tan kelpie with OCD. Whilst waiting for her food or begging for yours, she can be easily fooled into chasing a ball instead, which can then be used to your advantage to eat in peace or get her to go outside, etc. She's a snuggle magnet with a turkey neck. Great for winters in front of Netflix, but sometimes she gives you this really judgmental look, like "What are you doing with your life? Stop watching Mad Men and go outside for a bit."
Hey team So I've been living the dream over in Canada for the past two years. Doing a bunch of cool things like skiing, horse riding, travelling around, drinking etc etc. I'm studying Youth Work full time this year at RMIT so looking for somewhere to rest my head every night. I will most likely be working as well cause I'll need to afford life. I can assure that rent will always be paid, even if I don't eat for a week... I'm 26 and I've been waitressing, travelling and ski instructing around the world since I left high school and now keen for something new. The music scene/ creative and chill vibe of Melbourne has definitely attracted me to this city. I'm down to earth, social, very much into gigs and live music- music in general and being around people but also love my down time and respect people's personal space. I've been living in staff housing and share houses throughout my travels so I totally respect different lifestyles, living arrangements, personal boundaries and the big one... being tidy 🙂 I've also been known to have killer dance moves and I can show you my ways if you would like. I am pretty flexi with moving in dates etc as I have somewhere to chill until I find a more permanent home. I have references as well if my blurb didn't satisfy you at all!!! Thanks so much!!! Look forward to hearing from some people! Aimee
Me (Marcelle), I'm a 24 year old fine art student at RMIT majoring in photography and will be going into 3rd year. Also work as a bartender in Footscray . Love to have a drink with some mates and nice chats, we are both pretty laid back. All about house family vibes and getting on. Love to cook too. Not very good at writing about myself let alone selling myself haha. Anika (my girlfriend), 22, German, is a musician, just graduated from uni in London and works for Milk! Records. Loves to travel and chill out and tell really lame dad jokes.
Hi There! I'm Jess, an American expat from Austin, TX living in Melbourne on a work & holiday visa. I've been here for going on four months & work as an independent contractor in the entertainment industry; just wrapped up a gig with Beyond the Valley festival & will begin working with Cirque du Soleil later this month. I also pet / house sit so sometimes I'm gone for several days at a time. I am a music junkie so I usually always have my speaker going. In my free time I like to enjoy the great outdoors, go to shows, grab beers with friends, try new restaurants & spend a ridiculous amount of money on food from QVM. At home I love to cook, open a bottle of vino & Netflix it up. I do thoroughly enjoy my alone time but love to socialize as well so I can gel with whatever you like :) Currently seeking a furnished bedroom north of the river for a 4-week stay, move-in Feb 6th (slightly flexible) & I'd be out by March 6th. Look forward to chatting with you about your place!
I’m moving from Canberra to Melbourne in early February to start an Arts degree at Melbourne University. I’ve been living in share housing for the last 3 years so I understand the importance of respecting your housemates and their privacy, but I am a very chatty and friendly person and love spending time with housemates. I am very respectful, clean and friendly. I love cooking and am happy to make meals for the house the share, I'm also always up for a talk and a drink. Please let me know if you have any questions about me, looking forward to hearing from you soon :) Sophie
Hi my name is Lauren. I'm 27 and working full time in government, in a role with varied and sometimes long hours so will be out and about a bit. When I'm not working I like to get outdoors as much as possible, whether it be the beach, hiking or riding, I just generally like being outdoors! I like to also go to whatever sporting event is on in Melbourne, and check out gigs where I can. I'm an easy going and energetic person, who loves a chat and a drink with th people I live with, but am also respectful of space having lived in a couple of share houses. I am ideally trying to look for a place that can also accomodate my little 6 year old Jack Russell Emma (I did not name her haha). She's a little dog who loves a snuggle, isn't a barker and generally chills during the day when she's not begging for a walk, and likes sitting outside watching for possums at night. She can sleep in or outside.
I'm a country girl who's starting her first year of university at Victoria University in the city campus. I love to cook and I'm mature for my age, as well as being a workaholic, I'm quiet and neat. At the moment, I'm working for a catering company and cleaning houses
Outgoing and friendly, exited to meet new people. I’m very respectful of other’s personal space, also I’m tidy and clean but not an OCD. I am quiet and calm and I enjoy hanging out and chat over a glass of wine.
I'm a friendly and clean person who loves photography, creating short films, healthy lifestyle, blogging, entrepreneurship, gym, yoga, philosophy, vegetarian food, creating electronic music (with headphones haha), travel, design and generally always keen to cook nice food, enjoy a few beers and discuss how wildly novel it is to be alive and exploring this planet! I work in a restaurant in Fitzroy and pursue all sorts of creative freelance opportunities in my spare time.
I am neat, quiet, easy to get along with and love to have a laugh. I'm studying a masters in writing and publishing and enjoy reading, playing with my dog and listening to music. I currently live on my family farm in regional Victoria and I'm really excited about moving to the city.
Hey! My boyfriend and I are here in Melbourne until around April time, we both have jobs in hospitality, myself in CBD and Adam works on Chapel street (play your cards right and you will get some cheap ass meatballs). We will be out of the house most of the time, but when we are around it would be great to hang out, drink beer, wine or anything else that's going and maybe eat some cheese? We are looking for somewhere fun and sociable, we are keen to meet new people and have a laugh! We are looking for a move in date of around the 20th Jan, so willing to move fast if you are. I hope you can consider us, I promise we are good eggs and will cause you no issues. Thanks for reading, hope to hear from you soon!
I'm a quiet middle-aged professional - I teach mathematics at university - and I'm recently separated. I can cook adequately and clean. I'm not a party animal; I play music (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Viol - it's soft, you wouldn't hear it through closed doors), my favorite drink is tea, I'm mostly a homebody. I don't have a pet but I like animals, and I'm happy to live with cats and dogs. I have children but they wouldn't be moving with me, although they'd visit. My favorite social interaction is chatting over cups of tea, and other than music I like reading and writing.

Financially reliable, clean and tidy, respectful, light hearted, open-minded, outgoing and down to earth Norwegian female who have spent the last five years in Australia. I have one semester left of my master of Urban Planning at RMIT and I work 20-35 hours in a cafe in Southbank. When I am not busy with work or uni I like to go for a hike, walk or run, be out and about with friends or at home relaxing. I always try to contribute to a good living environment through sharing food, home-cooked meals and snacks and I always try to leave a place better than how I found it, whether that is by putting away the dishes and taking out the trash or with one of my terrible jokes to lighten the mood.
Hi, I'm Marti, a recent graduate moving to Melbourne from Sydney to start full-time work. I'm very friendly and easy to get along with. I enjoy being social and going out but I also like to stay in and binge watch TV shows on Netflix. I eat all kinds of food and am keen to visit as many restaurants and bars as I can. I love art and culture and I'm interested in seeing what Melbourne has to offer. Feel free to send me a message :)
Hey I'm English girl, moved over early December for work so been living in Melbourne for around 6 weeks and really enjoy the urban grungy feel Brunswick East has to offer, I am also open to the suburbs close by. Looking for a place which has a homely vibe ... no food labeling or separate toilet rolls pleaseeeeee!!!!
