I have my own home in Castlemaine so I like to take care. I'm looking for somewhere beautiful to live, that I can feel at home in, rather than feeling transient. I'm from Melbourne but have lived extensively overseas. I returned back to Melbourne in August 2017 and still finding my feet again in a town that's changed so much. I have had a couple of parking fines recently so settling back into the big smoke quite nicely thank you. I'm an Ayurvedic practitioner (Indian holistic medicine), do my own yoga thing so although I've learned how to balance it out with being a normal human, I keep a pretty moderate lifestyle comparatively - means I have a drink now and then but it's not my M.O. I'm a home vegetarian but not bothered by what others choose. I'm definitely not a smoker and would prefer a non smoker house mate. I haven't been doing it much lately but would like to get back into more adventurous cooking mode in the spirit of living a balance life. I'd love a great kitchen with space for spices and stuff. I have a dog so I keep things clean. But again, being a reasonable human always takes precendence. Bella is 9, I've had her 2 years from the RSPCA. She's amazing indoors, really chilled out. She's a kelpie/staffy cross so she just needs me to walk her everyday or she gets sooky. :) She's good with all other dogs except other kelpies (weird). And incredible with kids and a total suck to other adults. She's well mannered and I adore her. I am spending time writing for my online presence. I earn money doing odd jobs, with rental income, enough to keep the coffers available to make a living. My goal here is to create an online business and slowly work towards helping women in small creative businesses become more sustainable. It's a little bit pipe dreamy but I'm in love with it. I'd like to live with one other, preferably around my age or at least lifestyle, or a granny flat/studio set up. Thank you Sandra
Hi my name is Damian. My day job is a full-time office support role within the CBD. Outside of work I play in a couple of local (original) bands. If I practise at home I usually play with ear phones in order to be respectful to other housemates. Even though I don't own a pet, I'm quite friendly towards felines or canines and most creatures great & small. Other interests include going to the Nova cinema, a couple of evenings at the gym or soon to be yoga. Also catching up with friends over a beer or a coffee, or taking a day trip out to the country. Having lived in share housing on and off I'm quite respectful of ones space, but also communicative, a general sense of tidiness and a general good sense of humour doesn't go astray.
I'm Patricia, a spanish student working in hospitality. I've been In Melbourne since October, living in North Melbourne and now I'm looking for a single or share room, not too far from CBD (no more that 30 min by bike) where to live long time if it's possible. More about me... I'm 27 years old, vegetarian, non-smoker, quiet, friendly, responsible with payments, totally respectful with private space, easy going, clean and tidy. I love music, animals, Netflix, reading, traveling and climbing. In Spain I worked as therapist massage and osteopath. I would like to live with LGBT friendly people and house mates to talk and share some time would be nice.
Helloooooo!! First up, the boring stuff: I'm a uni student studying languages and development studies, and I work in hospo so rent and bills etc are not a problem. I clean up after myself, do my fair share of housework, I've got my own furniture, and also some kitchen appliances to contribute to the household. I'm kinda sporty (I play hockey for Melbourne Uni, and I enjoy a bit of orienteering too), but I don't go for freakishly long runs every other day. On the fun side, I quite enjoy a beer or glass of wine over dinner, whether its at home or at the pub (love a good pub and beer garden), and I go to gigs and festivals whenever I can afford it. I enjoy the outdoors (although being in Melbourne without a car, that generally just means sitting in the back yard or walking along the Merri Creek Trail). I will happily re-watch GoT or HIMYM at any time and have a long list of tv shows I need to watch. Not the best dinner chef, but will happily supply homemade cakes, cookies and pickled veg! Also more than happy to live with any furry friends that you may have, especially if they're cuddly. Preferably 9 months to a year and happy to go on the lease if need be (would actually prefer it). I'm also flexible with move in date, doesn't have to be the end of March.
Sociable kiwi couple who have just moved here after spending the summer at home and a few years in London prior to that. Enjoy travelling, sports, good food and good people around us. I am a Nurse and my partner is a scientist. I am starting at the Royal Children's hospital this week. As I am a shift worker we would prefer a quiet house with considerate flatmates. We are neat and tidy, laid back and enjoy staying at home as well as getting out and about exploring new places when we are off work. Please get in touch if you think we may be a good fit at your place. Ideally we would like to live within 20 mins cycling distance to the Childrens hospital. Thanks for reading G & G :)
We are a family of three looking for an acommodation for a short time. We are ordered and neat. Also honest, easy people and responsibles.
Hey I'm Alex. I am a kiwi living in Melbourne and working full time as an electrician. I love to chill out and watch Netflix or work on my car. I am funny and friendly and easy to get along with. Would love flatmates that I can go out for a drink with. Loves a good tequila
Mature, easy-going, and CLEAN. I’m working full time in St. Kilda and will be leaving Australia in mid-August. I grew up in California and I love film, music, and travel.
Hey guys, My name is Heidi. I am 32. I study full time doing my Bachelors in Fashion Design and I work part time. I am financially stable and I come with a cat. She’s the kind that just does her own thing. There is nothing needy about her. She went missing for five months and everyone convinced me she was gone. Then one day I got the call. She was crazy under weight and far from her ‘princess’ self. But we were reunited.. so she isn’t negotiable.. she’s a must :) I’m super chilled and cruisy. I LOVE a clean home and would love to live with someone that shares this value and helps clean up. I’m always down for a laugh and a glass of red. Every so often I need to go out for a dance but I’m more of a homebody that is working on her career. I train five days a week, I LOVE my fitness and it would be cool to live with someone like minded in that regard too. I have house shared a lot and whilst I don’t need mothering and I’m happy to do my own thing, I also think it really helps if you click with the person you are living with. Just makes it more of a harmonious environment to come home too. I’m moving from NSW, so, I’ll be super new down there and not 100% where places are, but totally ready for the change. Given that I’m in fashion, I need a built in robe.. I have a decent amount of clothing. Chat soon x Heidi
I'm just wonderful! Haha but seriously I am clean & respectful, love to have dinner/hang out with flat mates but also enjoy having my own space. Don't let my ripe age of 23 fool you, I am very mature, I am the Manager of a cafe on Collins st, so I do have early mornings where I open up shop around 6:15am, but I do work Monday to Friday, so no early starts on the weekends! I'm never home much during the day, & I like to try get out & do things on the weekend, but can also be the occasional couch potato with the Netflix sessions. Love to socialise & go for a few beverages, I'm basically your typical kiwi chick (:
Hello! I'll be living in Melbourne from 6th March (originally from Brisbane but bit of an international mut) to start full time work as a consultant in the city. I love to read, cook, spend time with friends, tend to my pot plants (I love them like children), go for walks and hikes, attempt yoga, and throw the occasional cheese and wine appreciation night. I love creating a homey environment and am looking for a place where everyone is friendly, social, considerate and on the same page. I consider myself well housetrained, and really enjoy clean and tidy spaces – although I understand that we can’t all be neatfreaks, 100% of the time. I also have an impeccable rental history (have lived in my current place for 2+ years) and will always pay rent on time! I understand how stressful finding a good housemate is and am looking to stay somewhere for at least 6-12 months to give me stability while I find my feet in a new city. I am looking to share with between 2 and 3 people ideally, so message me if you think we'll get along!
I'm very easy to get along with. I love all kinds of people and am very sociable. I have just moved to Melbourne from a small town in NSW so I'm still exploring. Work full time for the NAB from 9-6 Monday to Friday. I do enjoy drinking so love to have fun but also like down time. Love tennis and soccer, big NBA fan. But yeah, that's me in a nutshell.
My partner Maya and I, Jeroen, are looking for a nice place to live in Melbourne. We're two young people (29) and we're friendly, easy-going and clean. Maya is working for a Taiwanese magazine, for which she writes about Melbourne. I myself am a freelance translator and copywriter currently looking for work in Melbourne as well. I'm Belgian and Maya is Taiwanese. We love movies and art (yes, that's the reason why we chose to come to Melbourne) and also we are very responsible in paying bills and other such practical things.
Hi there, my name is Melissa! I'm from Montréal, Canada, and I'm a 28 year-old, independent, nature/animal-loving individual. I am typically out of the house; chasing the next adventure, hiking a new trail, riding my bike, and café hopping! In the house, I am tidy and am pretty quiet - I don't "party", drink, use drugs or smoke. I enjoy anything fitness related, and testing out new smoothie concoctions. During my down-time you'll find me nose-in-a-book, or napping in a patch of grass. I am currently preparing my upcoming move to Australia in August on a Working Holiday Visa! I'm looking to rent a room in a clean, cozy, friendly, affordable home with like-minded individuals, so feel free to contact me if you believe us to be a good fit :)
Hi! I’m Dannica, and I’m a Melbournian working full time in HR. I love live music, fitness and enjoying good food/coffee/wine with friends. I’m relaxed, clean and respectful. I'm friendly and social, but also enjoy my own downtime. Always down for good chat over wine and a cheese platter!
Hello! My name is Annie. I am back in Melbourne after working a stint in the country doing Agronomy work. Looking for an open minded house to share! I returned to the city to knock over the last 3 subjects for my Masters Of Agriculture degree. So I’m studying at Melbourne Uni and working on the side. Paying rent is no issue. I play music locally and enjoy the share house lifestyle. I am independent and reliable and enjoy a wide array of hobbies including music, art, cooking, sports and anything else that’s going! I enjoy people’s company and getting to know people. I also enjoy my own space and so am respectful of those i Live with as well. Give me a message if you’re keen to learn more. Look forward to meeting you! Annie
I've been renting and sharing houses for over 10 years and so I'd say I'm pretty experienced at being a good housemate by now. I'm clean and tidy, respectful of others and their things, and although I'll be pretty busy, I like to be social and take an interest in the people I'm living with when the opportunities present. I'm working at the national science agency as a science communicator, which means I get to turn the science into interesting stories, and I'm also studying public health part-time at Uni of Melbourne. I've got lots of travel stories, I speak Spanish reasonably well, I like to be pretty active and to get out and about in Melbourne.
I am a Canadian working in Melbourne in solar and renewable energy. I'm a traveller at heart and love to meet people and make new friends. I'm a very easy person to live with, I like to keep things tidy, hang out with the people in the house, but also respect personal space. I'm not a huge partier, but do enjoy some fun. I also love to cook and bake!
Hello everyone! We are Álvaro and Alexandra, and we are a mid-twenties couple who've recently moved to Melbourne! We arrived a few days ago from Barcelona (Spain), our natal city. We’ve come to Australia as students to do an intensive English course and obtain the Cambridge English Advance. Alvaro is a nautical engineer and I’m a technical architect and artist, specialized in design and photography. For both, sport has an important place in our lives. Alvaro has been a professional waterpolo player since he was 8 years old and I was athlete during a lot of years in my live. But in general we like all kind of sports. We live together in Barcelona, and we like keeping the house clean and having good relationships with our flatmates. During free time we like going out with our friends and we really enjoy listening to music at home, festivals or wherever! As students we can work part-time, and although we have saved money to come to Australia, we want to find a job in the next days. We are a very active people and we want to know what it’s like to work in Australia! We need to find a place to live as soon as possible. For now, we will stay in Melbourne during 4 months, but our idea is to stay here at least 1 year. If you think that we can fit with you, let us know! Hoping to see you soon! Álvaro & Alexandra
Hello there. I am seeking a home to share with community minded, creative beings who are interested in co-creating a peaceful, harmonious, easy-going, tidy, respectful, loving and nurturing space together. I am currently undertaking a Graduate Diploma in Psychology and as well completing my Kundalini Yoga training program. My hobbies and interests are in : spirituality, philosophy, healing, well-being (meditation, yoga, nutrition, kirtan, natural therapies, etc..), conscious dance, sacred music, films, art, reading, being in nature, eating out, travel, singing and pretty much any workshop or book on self-development that allows me to learn more about myself, others and improve who I am as a person. I am honest, mature and respectful of others space, and also seeking the same from others. I am also drug and alcohol free, and would prefer a home of open, authentic, conscious connections and communication with one another. I am not fussed about living with others who enjoy a wine over a meal, but definitely not interested in a party house. I am interested in a quiet space where I can study, as well as, re-charge and unwind. I would enjoy a conversation, meal or outing with fun-loving housemates every so often. As well as a tidy space, where we all contribute in keeping the environment clean and tidy for all. A home near public transport services is a necessity, preferably train and tram services. An unfurnished room and additional storage space would be ideal. I am vegan and would prefer a vegan and/or vegetarian household. I have lived with meat-eaters before though that are respectful and understanding. I also volunteer in assisting with and marketing events within the conscious Melbourne community, as well as activism for the welfare and rights of animals. I am more than happy to live with cats, and the more the merrier :)
Hi! I'm a French 23yo student from Paris, open-minded, clean and easy-going. I'm coming to Melbourne for a job (with a working-holiday visa) as research assistant at the University of Melbourne. I grew as a cross-cultural kid (British-French) so I speak both languages fluently, I love to travel and recent places I've lived in are Montreal, Paris and Grenoble. I have been sharing flats over the past five years with different people from different backgrounds, and all of them went really well. I'm eco-friendly, I dance and play music, enjoy hiking, running and outdoorsy stuff, relaxing & tea or going out for beers & partying!
Hi, my name's Lachlan - studying full-time at La Trobe University and have just moved from Perth. I'm into sport, music, reading, movies/documentaries and keeping fit/outdoors. A bit of everything really (and can cook!). Open to new interests and experiences, or just anything fun. I'm easy-going, respectful and kind, and will help people out wherever I can. Also Like the odd drink or social occasion but balance that with time to myself for studying and relaxing. Happy to fit with whatever vibe suits the place. I'll do my fair share in keeping a place clean and maintained, and will respect any rules. So that's me! Look forward to meeting future room-mates.
