Hi, I'm Miriam I'm a friendly and reliable type of person interested in finding a housemate/s to live with. I have a good sense of humour and like to chat about the day over a glass of wine and watch movies, but also enjoy time on my own and am respectful of peoples' space. I like to cook, do crafty things, go to dance classes and visit places around Victoria in weekends. I'm a bit of a sci-fi nerd, enjoy reading, music and going to art galleries and the theatre. Love animals but am allergic to cats :-(
I consider myself a good flatmate. Reliable, clean and considerate, like to make a home a home, enjoy both quiet time and social time. Currently self employed designing and fitting interior of restaurants. Originally from Sydney, have been in Melbourne for a little over a year now.
33yr old Professional. ( Horologist ) Moving to Melbourne in late October for a new job and starting all over again. I'm pretty neat and tidy, Great sense of humor ,value mine and others privacy, love to cook, social but like to do my own thing from time to time, got to the gym a few times a week, home is my place to unwind and relax after work so don't mind a social drink every now and then, would be great to have housemates that could become friends and show me all the great local spots. Ideally i'd like to be a half an hour from the CBD via tram, train or bus. I love Melbourne but not too familiar with suburbs i may have overlooked so let me know! I Love the outdoors so any excuse to get away for a spot of fishing and I'm all in! Recently got my firearms license so do a bit of sport shooting too Love animals so if you have a social dog or cat i don't mind at all :) Just got myself a new car so undercover or off street parking would be great!
I'm a sociable person and I'm easy to get along with. I've lived in share houses before so I'm considerate of others and respect their privacy. I work from 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday and I am out most weekends so I wouldn't be home a lot.
I'm a 29 year old videographer and video editor with a passion for music, food, gardening and good movies. I work at a social research call centre part time in addition to my video work, so I feel as though I spend a reasonably equal amount of time both in and out of the house. I also travel a bit for work, once every few months, either to country Victoria or out to remote Aboriginal communities where I run video workshops with children. I'm partial to a good cup of tea (I make really good chai) and a book, and I love a good selection of tunes whilst around the house. I play futsal (indoor soccer) twice a week and like keeping as healthy as I can manage :) I do enjoy sharing a bottle of wine and I like having friends around every so often for a meal and catch-ups. I come with furniture for the house (shelves, futon daybed etc) if necessary (including white goods) but I can just as easily get rid of them if there’s no space. I also have many houseplants and troughs with herbs, greens and other living plant life that I am more than happy to share!
Hi! My name is Sofia, 21 years old from Sweden. I just moved to Melbourne from Perth, to a room in a sharehouse that was not at all like the pictures and descriptions I had gotten before arriving. Old food on the tables, mice in the kitchen and a broken from door are just some of the things that got be back to looking for a new room. I used to work as an au pair, so taking care of the house by cleaning, cooking and doing laundry was something I did just about everyday. I´m a calm and organized person who also enjoys a good party. For fun I like to hang out with friends, go on trips and watch netflix! Something I love very much is animals, and I also really enjoy baking. I'm available to come look at rooms and move in ASAP. Hope to hear from you soon!
My name is Ilya, I am 24 years old. I am originally from Miami but I have lived In New York and Los Angeles. The last year and a half I have been living in Thailand, working as a teacher, and traveling. Upon quitting my job I then went traveling. After 3 months of the backpacking/pirate life I have moved to Melbourne. I am here to have a good time and save money. But most importantly I am trying to get back into the arts, (I used to work in film and act in Los Angeles). I plan on staying in Melbourne for the foreseeable future too so Im really trying to build a life here. Furthermore, I am working on a book that I will try to sell around February (if you're nice to me ill let you read it). As for me, I love to read, write, and take aimless walks. I'm currently working in construction. I arrived in Melbourne 3 weeks and I would love to come check out the place, whenever. If you think we would be a good fit please send me a message. Ilya
Hello! I'm Yu-Chi Huang, a 27 year-old Taiwanese girl coming to Australia on a Working Holiday Visa to embark on a voluntary research internship and to gain some international experiences. I have an educational background in psychology and currently work as a research assistant in Taiwan. Upon relocating to Australia, I hope to find some casual/part-time work in addition to my voluntary internship to support myself. Therefore, I'm still unsure of my working hours yet. For leisure, I like to read, exercise a bit, socialize, and learn random things that catch my interests. As a person, I'm open-minded, respectful of others, and neat (but not obsessively). While doing my graduate studies in the UK, I shared a flat in harmony with 5 others from different parts of the world. So, I would consider my flatshare record fairly clean! I also love to cook and have meals with flatmates from time to time and give them a helping hand whenever needed. However, I can respect personal boundaries if they need their own space.
Hi, I'm Magdalena. I am 26 years old polish girl who lives in Melbourne. I work full time as an interior designer/architectural visualiser. I came to Melbourne a 1,5 year ago. Before that I have lived for one year in Valencia, Spain and the rest of my life I have spent in Cracow, Poland. I love my city but I have a constant need to discover new places and cultures. My daily routine is pretty standard - work from 9.30 till 5.30, free weekends. In my free time I usually spend a lot of time outside but also I need some private time to relax in my bedroom and watch some movies or listen to music. I am looking for a quiet and friendly place to live. I really like to keep my home tidy and organised. I like socializing with my flatmates too. I like walks in the nature, design (product, interior, architecture), painting (oil paints), meeting new people and going out for a drink with friends. I speak fluently English, Spanish, a bit of German and of course Polish. My other interests consist cooking and baking polish cakes, pilates, travels, live music gigs/festivals and coffee :) (can't live without a morning cup of coffee). I'm a tidy, calm and respectful. I'm friendly person and I am known as someone who is pleasant to be around. I can make people laugh but sometimes I need to spend some time alone. I like to keep the apartment in order. Occasionally I like to have a drink or a meal together at home. I am looking for a peaceful place to live with a friendly flatmates.
Hey Im Ethan, I moved here from New Zealand as a chef about 5 months ago and currently work in fitzroy. I'm quiet but easy to get along with and down to earth. I like to spin a good yarn and am keen to make friends in Melbourne. Im currently living in a 3 month sublet which runs out on the first of October so would be looking to move in by then.
Hello! After living with a group of great friends in Rosanna for a few years, it's time for a change (aka they're moving back in with the 'rents so they can save for a house deposit #millenialcurse). The silver lining here is that I'm taking this opportunity to move closer to work! I work at Melbourne Uni full-time, and will also be studying there part-time next semester. I have a Masters degree in Literature, so will come with a solid (if not eclectic) collection of books and can provide hours of conversation if books/film/tv is your thing. I love gin, makeup, eating food that I don't have to cook, and buying different editions of books I already own because the cover art is pretty. I'm looking for 2-3 housemates around my age, who work full-time, and who are as friendly as I am but who also understand the need for quiet/Netflix time every now and again. I love to socialise and hang with friends, but rarely bring the party back to my place, so your sleep is almost guaranteed to be uninterrupted. Having said that my goodness I flipping love house parties so would be totally fine if you wanted to host one on the odd occasion. I've also gotten used to the glorious invention that is a dishwasher, so would be keen on a relatively new place that has schmick, modern ammenities. For fun I take pole dancing lessons, go to the movies, spend time with friends, and have performed in the odd amateur musical from time to time. You can expect sweet shower-renditions of showtunes if I'm feeling brave. I don't have very much house stuff beyond the furniture in my current bedroom, and I'm keen to avoid having to buy anything, so ideally one or more of my future housies will be able to provide luxury items like a washing machine and a fridge. My current lease is up in early November, so I'd be keen on having a place locked in by mid-late October. Anywhere in/close to Parkville would be amazing - I'm determined to find somewhere walking-distance to work so I can ditch my monthly Myki fee! If any of this sounds appealing to you, get in touch! I'm so excited to welcome a new bunch of awesome people into my life and hope you feel likewise after reading this very long explanation of who I am. Speak soon!
I am an easy going, friendly 25 year old from Perth. I am working full time in Carlton and am looking for a house that is reasonably close to work with a fun bunch of people. I have lived in sharehouses in the past and am clean, considerate, and respectful of other peoples space. I am always up for a good chat or laugh, and would like to live with people that are fairly social and who I can call friends as well as housemates. My interests include travel, socialising, bad jokes, hiking/exploring, cooking/baking, movies, yoga, and going out for food/drinks.
I'm a 21, androgynous male, who loves to express their feminine looks more than masculine. I'm studying full time doing a diploma in beauty therapy at Elly Lukas. I'm also a promoter at two nightclubs called Poof Doof and Trill. Originally from NSW Wollongong and moved to Melbourne with my mother and siblings in 2000 and been here ever since. I'm shy and quiet at first but then I become more friendly, flirty, energetic, caring, playful, child at heart and random at times when I'm get comfortable with you.
I am 19 years old at La Trobe University studying Secondary Education. Need to find a place over the summer as I'm working two summer jobs until Uni starts again. Really tidy, go to the gym a lot and social but calmed down with the partying after living 2 years on campus college. I visit my boyfriend on weekends, so I won't be around much anyways. Have never been late with rent.
My name is Esther and I’m a 26 year-old PhD student, currently studying at Durham University in the UK. I’m visiting Melbourne University for 3 months as part of my PhD (beginning of October – end of December) and am looking for somewhere to rent. I will be at the Parkville campus, so am looking for a place within walking distance of this area. I’m chilled-out, but tidy and someone who does their chores! I’m a person that likes to be outside and exploring the city. I love being active, listening to live music, reading and love a good chat! I’m looking to make friends while I’m in Melbourne, so looking for a house/flat with other people :)
Positive, outgoing and honest makes for a great energy to live with! Clean, courteous and respectful of others' space. I'm pretty social, enjoy wine, dance, dining, yoga and exploring Melbourne but also appreciate downtime and having a peaceful space to kick off the trainers, relax and watch a little Netflix. From the States, work in hospitality and a big time animal lover! Flexible with length of stay but ideally would love to find a flatmate or two who I hit it off with to stay the duration of my visa (1-2 years). Look forward to hearing from you!
A little about myself: my name is Jesse, I’m 24. I work part time in the bar at pancake parlour (I don’t make the pancakes but I do make them when I’m at home). I study full time at ACU doing Paramedicine. I’m currently in Coburg, but looking to move back closer to the city where all the fun is. I drive, so if anyone ever needs a lift to or from the airport, I’m your guy! I love to cook! Love cooking up big feasts for everyone now and then, can turn anything vegan if need be! Vegan gnocchi is pretty dang good. Do enjoy myself a red wine or craft beer when deserved, grown past the days where getting wasted was fun, only on the hunt for the tastiest brew! Plus coffee, I always have a pot of coffee going round and happy to share it in the morning/night for those late night studies cramming seshs. I am a very tidy person, perhaps the annoying kind of tidiness when it comes to certain things. I‘m also gay, though it doesn’t really matter, just so it’s out there. I like to play dodgeball competitively (got a couple medals up and out). I love photography, need to get back into doing film photography again. I’d also like to sign up to a crossfit to stay fit. I’m not the kind of housemate that will lock myself in my room, I like to be out in the house and procrastinate by talking with peeps about their far more exciting lives. And hopefully have a few brunch buddies to find cute little cafes to eat at and wish I worked there. I also do have a cat, her name is Zelda, and she has been by my side for 8 years. She just spends her time sitting with me when I’m home. Or waiting by the window for me to come back. I understand if she’s not allowed to come with, I can find somewhere suitable for her to go. But would love to have her around. Thank you for your time!!! Enjoy going through all the applications! Would love to hear back from you soon!! Kind Regards, Jesse.

I have been living in Auckland for the past year; now coming back to Australia for university at RMIT and will be going into a BA of Photography. I'd say I'm a fairly chilled person. I also play the clarinet and have been for ten years, that'll be coming with me. I don't smoke or have any pets, just myself, clarinet and small collection of cameras. I am not the go out and party ever night kind, I'd rather say in or go out somewhere nice with a couple of friends. So I won't be throwing any huge parties. I am looking for a room in Melbourne with fantastic flatmates. Only visited Melbourne a few times so I don't know my way around but am ready for a new city and new people.
