While looking for work and waiting to study Vet nursing I mostly spend my time volunteering at various animal organisations to further my knowledge. I guess I am a down to earth, open, honest person. I love to laugh, smile, read and sketch.. Im a bit of a geek when it comes to games, although I don't play as much anymore. Creating things is my hobby, whether its a planting something just to watch it grow or a painting some furniture, small or big I am always actively doing something. Im a bit of a klutz and air head at times *forgetful* but very adaptable. I love to see others happy and believe honesty is the best way when living with anyone. I like constructive criticism, to discuss, Im always looking to better myself. I love to get to know any person.. but I would like to live with people that I can maybe collaborate with. Oh, I have a heap of furniture that is in storage. This huge double door fridge, a 1 door fridge probably suited for outdoors, an 8 seater beautiful oak table, bookshelves, a washing machine and a few other cute bits and bobs. It would be great to get them out but if they aren't needed its no biggie. As I mentioned, I love to get to know people but I also love it when people take the time to know me. Please feel free to send me a message with any questions :)
Hi! We're a couple who are new to Melbourne. We're hoping to find a room to share for 2-3 months while we get settled. I'm studying winemaking while also working in wine retail. Oliver is studying software engineering and is a bartender at a music venue. We've both lived in share houses for 9-10 years so we're very well house-trained. We're clean, tidy and never have any trouble paying bills on time. We're equally happy to hang out with housemates or do our own thing. We're not party animals - we're much more into enjoying good food and wine than getting rowdy. I have a lot of diverse interests - cooking, sport (especially cricket), cinema (especially foreign and independent films), music, camping and hiking, history, learning new languages, etc. I'm a bit of a trivia buff and will never say no to a pub trivia night. I'm also very open to meeting new people and trying new things. Oliver's into sports (particularly cricket and AFL), fitness, music, web dev and puppies.
Hi all, I'm from the UK and start my new consulting job in Melbourne on 28th August (with a 2 year visa). I've booked my flights and will be available to meet from 20th August. I have some temporary accommodation sorted until I find somewhere more permanent, so moving in dates for Sept would work. I'm easy going, tidy, and enjoy running, gym, yoga, swimming. I like to spend time with friends, eating out, watching movies. I'd be interested to create a new house share or join an existing one :)
So a little bit about myself , I moved here permanently over two years ago from Ireland , I was living in brisbane for eight months when I came out and been down here in Melbourne since ,working full time mon-Friday day shift and the occasional weekend too ,I'm a social very easy going ,respectful and well house trained lad ,as for activities going to the gym or a jog after work ,and going hiking camping and going on the occasional road trip most weekends ,Love to watch a good movie or doco when I get the chance ,I'm a massive Attenborough fan and as for game of thrones I can't get enough of it ,if I sound like your new house mate drop me a line and we can meet up for a beer or a coffee over a convo . Thanks Joe ✌️
My name is Mel and I work full time in Early Childhood. I am a clean and tidy person who likes to bake, watch movies and eat snacks. I play Roller Derby in my spare time and like to keep fit and active. My favourite things to do on the weekend is to find cute little vintage stores, skate and hang out with friends. Thanks!
Hi there! I'm Héloïse, a 22-year-old Master student studying Communications and Marketing in Paris :). I just moved to Melbourne for the whole year: I'm studying a semester at University of Melbourne and then I want to do an internship here to have a professional experience in an english speaking country. I'm looking for a 12 months accommodation. I'm a joyful and tidy person who loves travelling, running, watching good films as well as Harry Potter, Lord of the Ring, GOT, going out with my friends, socializing... I always have a smile on my face and laugh a lot (you will soon discover that I have the most funny laugh on earth ahaha!). I like to do my own things but I also search housemates I can be friends with and do what friends usually do: drink a glass of wine in the evening (or maybe more like four or five glasses #frenchpeoplestyle), share meals, cook together and go out together on the weekends. Hope to hear from you very soon!

Hi I'm Kellie, I'm newly single and looking for a place to call home. I'm really easy going, personable and always up for a wine or a cup of tea if it's going. I'm clean, tidy and respectful of personal space. I work in Finance for a Fashion house in Carlton so would like to find somewhere preferably North side. I like to keep it pretty quiet and routine during the week but on weekends I'm usually out and about or at home chilling. I like music, sport, dancing, wine, fashion, cooking and lots of laughs. Cheers Kellie
Hiya, I'm moving to Melbourne from Perth to come study Interior Design at RMIT Uni. ideally, looking for my own small unit ...partly furnished with white goods would be even better! Will also consider house shares but no room shares. Up to $200pw is what id be looking at spending (ahh the life of a student) I'm 34 years old, so my partying days are quite behind me. Much prefer quiet nights in reading, listening to music- huuuuge music lover...though don't ask me what i listen to because i have a huge range of tastes ranging from ska, rocksteady, Old R&B, rockabilly, to old funky hip hop and old school metal... coming from a family with musicians i was always taught to keep my music tastes open! Love watching documentaries- mainly true crime, paranormal, Nat Geo, and environmental. Drinking tea, health & wellbeing, aromatherapy, cooking, drawing and potting plants makes me happy...but then so does the occasional social drink and going out to a good gig and dinner with friends from time to time. I would consider myself respectful to others ,easy to get along with and very clean and tidy. Though i'am quite a private person, i get along with all walks of life. Also will be looking for a casual job 2 days or 3 nights a week.. Please feel free to get in touch if you'd like to know more.
Hello! After living with a group of great friends in Rosanna for a few years, it's time for a change (aka they're moving back in with the 'rents so they can save for a house deposit #millenialcurse). The silver lining here is that I'm taking this opportunity to move closer to work! I work at Melbourne Uni full-time, and will also be studying there part-time next semester. I have a Masters degree in Literature, so will come with a solid (if not eclectic) collection of books and can provide hours of conversation if books/film/tv is your thing. I love gin, makeup, eating food that I don't have to cook, and buying different editions of books I already own because the cover art is pretty. I love my current living situation, so would be keen on replicating that as closely as possible. That means becoming fast friends with my potential housemates (that's you!) and being able to come home to a group of people that I adore. We share food staples (milk, eggs, flour, sugar, etc, etc) and cleaning products, but everything else we keep separate. I think this system works a treat, so ideally my new housemates would agree. I'm looking for 3-4 housemates around my age, who work full-time, and who are as friendly as I am but who also understand the need for quiet/Netflix time every now and again. I love to socialise and hang with friends, but rarely bring the party back to my place, so your sleep is almost guaranteed to be uninterrupted. Having said that my goodness I flipping love house parties so would be totally fine if you wanted to host one on the odd occasion. I've also gotten used to the glorious invention that is a dishwasher, so would be keen on a relatively new place that has schmick, modern ammenities. I'm all for gender balance too! Having grown up in a house full of women, living with men is a genuine novelty for me. If the stars align, our new household will have 2 lovely ladies and two gentlemen occupying it. I'm a cis woman, but I'm also LGBTQI+ friendly (I hope I got the acronym right). I'm not opposed to sharing with a couple, as long as I have another single buddy to keep the balance. For fun I take pole dancing lessons, go to the movies, spend time with friends, and have performed in the odd amateur musical from time to time. You can expect sweet shower-renditions of showtunes if I'm feeling brave. I don't have very much house stuff beyond the furniture in my current bedroom, and I'm keen to avoid having to buy anything, so ideally one or more of my future housies will be able to provide luxury items like a washing machine and a fridge. My current lease is up in early November, so I'd be keen on having a place locked in by mid-late October. Anywhere in/close to Parkville would be amazing - I'm determined to find somewhere walking-distance to work so I can ditch my monthly Myki fee! If any of this sounds appealing to you, get in touch! I'm so excited to welcome a new bunch of awesome people into my life and hope you feel likewise after reading this very long explanation of who I am. Speak soon!
34 years old and work as a freelance photographer and an arts therapist. At the moment, I work from home about 3 days a week (editing and planning) and 2-3 days out on location. I'm into sharing meals, wine, heart to heart chats and all that good stuff to get to know the people I'm living with. I value people and open communication. I would like to live in a multi cultural home or with open minded people that are open to cultural differences, after all diversity is the spice of life. I'm interested in permaculture, but yet to gain the skills, willing to put the hours into the garden to get my thumbs green. I'm quirky and creative. I enjoy gatherings and being social and every now and again I'll go off on a silent retreat when I need a little zen time and clarity. I love all kinds of music from around the world. Other loves... nature, dancing (african and latin), yoga (I gotta get back on that bike ;) ), travel, movies, documentaries, food, talks that scratch the surface, acting like a kitty cat and putting on random accents. If I sound like your hommie to be, feel free to contact me :) Also, I'm looking to move by late August, but if I find a suitable place, I can move sooner. I live in the South side but much prefer the creative and diverse flow of the North folk. Marlène (aka Marz)
I'm an exchange student from Japan to UoM. I love cooking, so I'm so glad if we can share what we make. I can cook Japanese food and teach how to cook, so it's so nice to make their country's food and share each other. and I play jazz trumpet. If anyone like jazz, it is so nice for me.
Hi! I'm Anamaria :) a masters student from Colombia. I'm an open minded, easygoing, organized and responsible girl. I love cooking and eating, listening to music, dance a little and talk about life. I also enjoy my privacy, some Sundays are just perfect in my own bed.
A clean, friendly, film loving & environmentally conscious media student.
I'm looking for a place to call home. I enjoying sitting with a glass of wine and a convo after work/over dinner but also know when to keep to myself. I am a preschool teacher by day so during the week is usually quiet. Like to get out for a few drinks and catching up with friends on the weekend. I am a smoker however this is always done outside. Hope to hear from you soon
We are two easy going people, who care about humans and are compassionate and respectful. We love going for walks and enjoying the nature. We like to get together with others and share a good meal and chat, possibly with a little wine/beer and a board game. We've both rented for the last 5 years, so we are reliable with our pay and tidy up after ourselves. We understand others need for downtime, as we need it too. If we catch your interest, write a message and we can chat over Skype. (Required since we currently live in Denmark) Cheers, Rune & April.
My name is Laura Cortes.I'm Colombian, I'm 27, studying and working in Melbourne since one year ago, I'm looking for a room ASAP!!, the reason is because the lease of the place where i'm living will finish soon. I'm easygoing, clean and tidy, like to share and have good talks, but also have my on space, love music and beer. Thanks, looking foward to hearing from you
Hello! We moved to Melbourne this week along with a cute wee cat! :) I am a Social Media Manager and Brendon is a Music Tutor. We are relaxed, tidy, and creative. We enjoy good movies, playing boardgames and are very excited to explore and enjoy living in Melbourne.
Hey! I'm a student in the UK and moving to Aus in Sept 2017 whilst studying Public Health. I'm looking to meet easygoing housemates that may be willing to show me a bit of the area, or explore together if you're also new! I love the outdoors, hiking, cycling, yoga and surfing, but also down for a dance and a drink. I'm vegan and really enjoy cooking and learning new things. Would love to meet similar people, with a laid back approach to life. Hoping to stay at least 6 months but very flexible, as I may move around depending on what's available :)
Hi guys, We're Chris (26) and Kay (25), a couple from London who have decided to move to Melbourne for a new experience and way of life. We've both lived and worked in London for the past 4 years. Chris is a digital marketing manager and Kay works in PR/Comms. In our spare time we love exploring the city we're living in, checking out the latest restaurant and bars. We enjoy getting along to a gig every now and again and Chris is fairly into sports (cricket, tennis, golf). We're looking for a sweet place to settle down in Melbourne for the foreseeable future and are open to where we live. If you have anything that could be suitable then please drop us a line!
Looking for a house near Thornbury where I am about to begin a new full time job as a Project Manager. I am in my final stages of an environmental engineering/science degree so study at nights. I'm quiet, clean, love to cook and enjoy a glass of wine and cheese at the end of the week. Originally from the country, I am very active and enjoy being outside. Moving in with me will be my little silky terrier x jack russel. She is a very well behaved little dog who spends her days in the yard and night time inside. Don't mind what gender I move in with, looking for a friendly housemate who will enjoy chats and a laugh.
Hey guys, My name's Chris, and I work full time in the city as a Recruitment Consultant. A bit about myself, well I'm completely drama free, enjoy relaxing and also socialising too. I clean up after myself (currently living with 2 girls so I've learned well), I've been told if I was anymore laidback, I'd be falling over, so if you're after a chill house mate, who pays on time (no excuses), I'm game.
Hi there, my name's Toby. Apart from working 9-5 in South Melbourne, I'm learning a new language. At the end of a long day I'm definitely an introvert. If you enjoy a bit of cooking and TV after work, I'm sure we'll get along fine; extrovert housemates expecting hours of conversation may be left wanting more. Previous housemates have described me as tidy, and that's also high on my list. I don't smoke, and have lived and filed tax returns in four different countries. I've set the length of stay to 3 months, because I think that's a good period to get to know your flatmates, but I'm staying in Melbourne long-term!
