I'm an international student from the US studying engineering at the University of Melbourne, starting July 2017. At that point I'll have been on the road for 10 months, through Europe and some of Africa, so after that adventure I'm very looking forward to having a place to call my own. Never ready to stop the excitement though! Always new things to be done, seen, tasted, heard, wherever you are, and I'm just looking for some good people to share the journey with.
Zac:: Freelance graphic designer, also doing an online sociology degree at uni full time (currently first year). I like to make art, grow veggies, hike, binge watch whatever shows I'm currently addicted to. Bit of an introvert / extrovert hybrid, depending on the mood I can either be up for long chats and random adventures, or just keen to stay in and chillout with some music or movies. Ra:: Black kitty who likes to chase toys and catch mice. Bit of a weirdo who wags his tail like a dog (not kidding), can't meow (never learned to or something??) and makes a chirping sound at meal times kinda like a velociraptor... He's fully toilet trained (ie. there's not even kitty litter in the house because he only ever toilets outside) and he's very low maintenance – not attention seeking, doesn't shed hair etc.
Beth: Very relaxed, very nerdy, bad at cooking, good at baking, bad at general social interaction. That's the general gist of me I suppose! I'm a creative person, predominantly skilled in film making but can do a whole range of things. I'm easygoing, passive and quiet. Jarrod: super chill, mega nerd, good at cooking and baking, I think I can make friends with almost anyone. dreams of one day being a world renowned musician, pretty good bartender, so good for parties and such. and yeah. We have two cats as well, Bruce and Pumpkin. Bruce is well... not very nice. He likes to bite. Probably best to not try and make friends with him. He is very large (half Maine Coon) and very floppy (Half Ragdoll). Pumpkin on the other hand, she looves pats and friends and is the most adorable little thing. She is smaller than your average cat, she loves to just hang out. We are currently living in an apartment but have recently had a big change to our circumstances so need somewhere cheaper to live. Our lease runs out June 15th so we're looking to move in the week before that when we'll be able to afford to pay rent and bond for another place. We have lots of furniture, most of which we are happy to sell if there's no room but a couple pieces we'd like to keep if possible. Generally we're just a chill couple that likes to hang out with people sometimes and are very creative... Feel free to contact me and ask any questions or whatever. Cheers!
Hey there! My name is Shaek (pronounced shake) and I am a 20 year old currently residing in Sydney however moving to Melbourne for approx 1 year for work and to also experience life away from the bubble of my current city. Im not the best at selling myself, but here it goes. Being the eldest of 5 children, I have a strong understanding of personal space as well as overall cleanliness and am very responsible and dependable. Majority of the time I like to keep to myself but am always up for a laugh and love listening to people talk. I am known to be an extremely relaxed and laid back person so I can assure you that there will be no conflict over mundane issues. I am an avid reader and often tend to lock myself in the room, so some days you may not even hear a peep. Fishing is another hobby I seriously enjoy as well as eating at places with great reviews, socialising with friends, having a drink or 10, watching movies and other things. Although I am only 20, I believe I am able to get on with people of all ages and back grounds as I like to think I am quite open minded and have been told by many that I have great mannerisms and professionalism. Thanks for reading and let me know if you'd be interested in me being a new member of your home.
Hospitality professional, moving to Melbourne from Sydney for a change of pace. Will be working full time, and am a very respectful housemate. Clean, easy going and mostly organised. I am vegetarian and like cooking, not worried if you eat meat. I play music and would like to live with other creative people. Have a few friends that are also looking for a place, would much rather go into a new lease, but would also consider a existing flat share.
Hey! I currently work shift work full-time as a nurse and am looking for a private room somewhere close to Parkville. Hoping for a 6 month - 1 year lease but am open to whatever is on offer. I'm easy going and sociable but also enjoy my own downtime. I'm tidy and will always clean up after myself! Hope to hear from you soon!
Hi! I'm 22 and originally from Scotland. I have been living in Melbourne for almost 2 years now on a sponsored working visa. I work full time in an architecture practice in North Fitzroy and keep myself pretty busy in the evenings and weekends. I enjoy outdoor activities, running and hiking. I am a clean, tidy and respectful flatmate, having lived in share houses the past 5+ years. Please feel free to get in touch!
Hi my name is Courtney! Currently living in Melbourne in a share house but have to move out by early July. Pride myself on keeping a clean home and being easy going. I'm pretty much always chilled, very hard to piss off and try to make life easier for everyone by trying to get along no matter what :) Please don't hesitate to send me a message! Hopefully, with your help, I can find my new home!
I've recently done the Adelaide to Melbourne move, getting my masters in art curatorship at Melbourne Uni, and i'll be interning and working throughout the rest of the year alongside that course, with aims of sticking around longer. V interested in places in the inner north. Thanks v much!
Im an easy going up for a chat chiller kind of girl. Im respectful around the house when it comes to cleaning and general housey stuff.... I like good music, dancing and the bush and beach, I'm currently studying environmental science and enviro social science . I have a dog and he is with me most of the time so i need a pooh loving house he is the best and his name is magic.
I’m a relaxed, clean and happy 26 year old who has recently moved down from Canberra. I work full time as a Primary School teacher. I’m pretty chilled during the week and a lover of cheese, wine and socialising on the weekends. I often spend my spare time fawning over sloths on the Internet. I’m looking a place that is happy to have our own space but also keen to hang out - I love making friends! Exercise (a bit), weekend adventures (a lot), Netflix binging (all the time), too much red wine (sometimes), going to music festivals/gigs and going out to try new cafes/restaurants/bars are some of my loves! I’m a terrible singer and you will hear my efforts in the shower sometimes (sorry)…but what I lack in singing ability I make up for in enthusiastic dance moves, always having cheese in the fridge, having some kitchen things (if needed), enjoying a weekend cleaning session and always paying rent/bills on time. I have teamed up with someone through here, and we're looking for one or two more housemates to join our awesome house family! We're already looking to inspect and apply for places. Looking forward to hearing from you!
Hello I'm a single male looking for a nice place to call home. I like living in a clean space. I'm respectful of personal space but at the same time enjoy a good chat. I clean up after myself and would expect the same from my future room mates. I grew up in Brisbane and have been travelling and working as a cellar hand in wineries throughout Australia for the last 3 years. I have lived in Melbourne for one year. I have commenced a Bachelor of Agriculture at The University of Melbourne with the intention to major in Wine Science. I like hiking, travelling and good vibes with quality people, food and drinks.
Hi I'm Holly. 27 years old and working full time as a teacher, however am considering changing industries. I'm looking for a share house with the perfect balance of spending time together but also having respect for one anothers privacy. I have lived overseas and lived in sharehouses for nearly 3 years. I am domesticated, enjoy cooking and understand the financial responsibilities of paying rent and all that comes with it. I am a social person but also cherish my down time. I enjoy meeting people from all walks of life but I feel like I have a tendency to be a little left of centre, so I tend to bond most with like minded souls. I am very laid back, just like to have a mutual respect policy. More than anything I like to laugh, its very important for my sanity to not take life too seriously. That being said, I do have a serious side and am very interested in current affairs, politics etc.
I am a 27 years old Software Engineer working full time in Fitzroy. I am not a party animal at home, but I love to go to dance Salsa and other Latin rhythms very often. Also, you will find me Sundays singing (in English and in my native language Spanish) and playing the guitar on the open mics on grumpy's on Smith St. I am friendly, tidy and respectful. I don't smoke. I am not vegetarian, but I never eat meat at home. I am usually busy with work but I am always keen to any social activity, shared dinner, outdoor activity, movie, etc. Looking forward to hearing back from you.
Good vibes, easy to get along with, love a good laugh, creative/entrepreneurial spirit, love to get out there and have a bit of a dance, meet new people and immerse myself into different cultures. Looking to team up with a room mate or room mate(s) and create an uplifting home.
I am a full time student and would like to find a place that I can call home. Love to hang out with fellow flatmates but fully respect to other people privacy. Respect differences in culture, religion and ways of life. I am a social smoker but never inside the house (Big no no).
I am a fun and outgoing guy and just moved over from across the ditch (New Zealand) to start a full time job in the CBD. I enjoy going out, socialising having a drink (or 6) with mates/future flatmates in the weekend but also enjoy having downtime to relax/netflix at home! New to Australia I would love to explore the city and what it has to offer! I enjoy people's company and I would like to think (and hope) people enjoy mine too! I think I would make a great flatmate to live with! My hobbies include playing sports such as tennis, badminton and cricket socially and I do like to stay fit by either playing these sports or going for runs/gym (gains). I like to live with clean surroundings, enjoy cooking and cleaning up after myself. If this doesn't sound like the perfect flatmate then I don't know what does
Hello all you lovely people :) I have recently moved to Melbourne from England and am looking for a place to live! I'm a friendly person who loves getting to know people! Hey! I've recently moved here from New Zealand, and I'm looking for a great flat to settled into life in Melbourne. I work full-time Monday to Friday in Southbank so I'm pretty busy during the week, but I'm always keen to do something over the weekend. In my spare time, I like playing soccer, going out for coffee and cooking. I'm a tidy, easy going person who is always keen to lend a hand around the flat!
