Hi! We're a couple who are new to Melbourne. We're hoping to find a room to share for 2-3 months while we get settled. I'm studying winemaking while also working in wine retail. Oliver is studying software engineering and is a bartender at a music venue. We've both lived in share houses for 9-10 years so we're very well house-trained. We're clean, tidy and never have any trouble paying bills on time. We're equally happy to hang out with housemates or do our own thing. We're not party animals - we're much more into enjoying good food and wine than getting rowdy. I have a lot of diverse interests - cooking, sport (especially cricket), cinema (especially foreign and independent films), music, camping and hiking, history, learning new languages, etc. I'm a bit of a trivia buff and will never say no to a pub trivia night. I'm also very open to meeting new people and trying new things. Oliver's into sports (particularly cricket and AFL), fitness, music, web dev and puppies.
We are two easy going people, who care about humans and are compassionate and respectful. We love going for walks and enjoying the nature. We like to get together with others and share a good meal and chat, possibly with a little wine/beer and a board game. We've both rented for the last 5 years are reliable with our pay and tidy up after ourselves. We understand others need for downtime, as we need it too. If we catch your interest, write a message and we can chat over Skype. (Required since we currently live in Denmark) Cheers, Rune & April.
Hey! I'm a student in the UK and moving to Aus in Sept 2017 whilst studying Public Health. I'm looking to meet easygoing housemates that may be willing to show me a bit of the area, or explore together if you're also new! I love the outdoors, hiking, cycling, yoga and surfing, but also down for a dance and a drink. I'm vegan and really enjoy cooking and learning new things. Would love to meet similar people, with a laid back approach to life. Hoping to stay at least 6 months but very flexible, as I may move around depending on what's available :)
Hi guys, We're Chris (26) and Kay (25), a couple from London who have decided to move to Melbourne for a new experience and way of life. We've both lived and worked in London for the past 4 years. Chris is a digital marketing manager and Kay works in PR/Comms. In our spare time we love exploring the city we're living in, checking out the latest restaurant and bars. We enjoy getting along to a gig every now and again and Chris is fairly into sports (cricket, tennis, golf). We're looking for a sweet place to settle down in Melbourne for the foreseeable future and are open to where we live. If you have anything that could be suitable then please drop us a line!
Looking for a house near Thornbury where I am about to begin a new full time job as a Project Manager. I am in my final stages of an environmental engineering/science degree so study at nights. I'm quiet, clean, love to cook and enjoy a glass of wine and cheese at the end of the week. Originally from the country, I am very active and enjoy being outside. Moving in with me will be my little silky terrier x jack russel. She is a very well behaved little dog who spends her days in the yard and night time inside. Don't mind what gender I move in with, looking for a friendly housemate who will enjoy chats and a laugh.
Hey guys, My name's Chris, and I work full time in the city as a Recruitment Consultant. A bit about myself, well I'm completely drama free, enjoy relaxing and also socialising too. I clean up after myself (currently living with 2 girls so I've learned well), I've been told if I was anymore laidback, I'd be falling over, so if you're after a chill house mate, who pays on time (no excuses), I'm game.
Hi there, my name's Toby. Apart from working 9-5 in South Melbourne, I'm learning a new language. At the end of a long day I'm definitely an introvert. If you enjoy a bit of cooking and TV after work, I'm sure we'll get along fine; extrovert housemates expecting hours of conversation may be left wanting more. Previous housemates have described me as tidy, and that's also high on my list. I don't smoke, and have lived and filed tax returns in four different countries. I've set the length of stay to 3 months, because I think that's a good period to get to know your flatmates, but I'm staying in Melbourne long-term!
I am currently in the process of moving from Sydney to Melbourne for a 10 month secondment role at my workplace starting in the first week of August. I'd like to be moved into Melbs and be settled into a new place to call home by the end of August. I am employed as a full time manager. I work hard, so I can be exhausted after a long day but I don't mind sharing a meal, a story or two with a drink, before retreating to my room either to work or for some well deserved, quiet "me time" Whilst my family is based in Melbourne, my friends are in Sydney. So I plan to make new friends, check out the sights and some social scenes on weekends. Of course, hang out with the folks. Whilst I wouldn't mind a good friend over to chill occasionally, I'm not the type to invite a party over. I am reliable, respectful, house trained and excellent at paying my bills on time. I've been renting and maintaining a two storey townhouse for the last 8 years on my own. So I will be honest, it's been a while since I've shared...But have a squeaky clean payment history. I am looking for a place with my own unfurnished large room for my things, my own off street parking (pref undercover) for my car and ensuite bathroom. Looking for a place that is clean, modern and in a well built up bustling area. Water pressure will be tested upon inspection ;) Any room with my own outdoor access will be a bonus and highly considered! Internet access is simply a must. If you think you have the place for me in the areas that I've mentioned or similar areas, please contact me with the suburb, the room specs and the cost of living. Thanks, Dee
A full-time student living in Melbourne for nearly three years. I love watching TV shows, but I've never watched Game of Thrones (I know, please, don't judge me). I also like to go out sometimes with friends and I really love music!!! Oh! I almost forgot to mention that I am Brazilian, so It's a great opportunity for you learn a bit more about new cultures :)
My name is Lizzy, I'm from the Netherlands, 22 years old. In Melbourne for an Internship at Peter MacCallum. I love to meet new people, exploring, having a drink and cooking. Also I'm learning how to run. Because I'm not very good yet. Cheeers! :)
Hello! I'm Tulsi, 23, and I'm looking for a room to rent in a house with like-minded people around Fitzroy, Fitzroy North, Brunswick, Northcote and Thornbury. I'm a lifelong vego now vegan originally from northern NSW. I have just graduated from my journalism degree, and I work in a cafe. I love to travel solo, trek, be in nature, do yoga, read books, write freelance articles, play ukulele, and chill with friends. I'm looking for a place with mature, worldly and grounded people where I can be myself, and this involves spending time alone but also having real connections with my housemates, and having the freedom to have friends sleep over, and occasionally enjoy 420. I feel that it is very important to maintain positive energy in the house so I value having open dialogue face to face. If you choose to live with me, I will bring spontaneous kitchen yoga sessions, homemade coffee face scrub, passionate discussions about world politics and books, jazz, red wine, and incorrect tarot readings. I can't wait to meet you, future housemates x
Hi, Hey and hello, I'm looking for unfurnished room in a friendly share house. I'm 25 and currently living in Prahran and I'm about to start a new full time job as Cabin crew for Virgin Australia so with the new role I would like to move slightly closer to the airport but still live in a cool area. I'm down to earth, clean, soical, enjoy my own space and love a nice glass of wine......all the normal things you would hope to expect. If you have a place that you think matches flick me a message and we can have a meet and greet.
Seeing all that this great city has to offer! Interests include cycling, rock climbing, gigs, beer, wine & cheese. Grew up in Canada & lived in California for a bit before moving to Melbourne.
34 years old and work as a freelance photographer and an arts therapist. At the moment, I work from home about 3 days a week (editing and planning) and 2-3 days out on location. I'm into sharing meals, wine, heart to heart chats and all that good stuff to get to know the people I'm living with. I value people and open communication. I would like to live in a multi cultural home, as diversity is the spice of life. I'm interested in permaculture, but yet to gain the skills, willing to put the hours into the garden to get my thumbs green. I'm quirky and creative. I enjoy gatherings and being social and every now and again I'll go off on a silent retreat when I need a little zen time and clarity. I love all kinds of music from around the world. Other loves... nature, dancing (african and latin), yoga (I gotta get back on that bike ;) ), travel, movies, documentaries, food, talks that scratch the surface, acting like a kitty cat and putting on random accents. If I sound like your hommie to be, feel free to contact me :) Also, I'm looking to move by late August, but if I find a suitable place, I can move sooner. I live in the South side but much prefer the creative and diverse flow of the North folk. Marlène (aka Marz)
Hey there, I just moved to Melbourne from Austria and I am looking for a place to call home for a while. I will be starting my PhD studies at RMIT in August, which means I am working full time and have a steady income. I am a quiet person in general who looks after himself and keeps things things tidy and clean. However, I do enjoy chats and get-togethers for meals or whatever. I respect the privacy of others if they want to keep to themselves. However, I would like to call people I live with day-in and day-out friends at some point and not just strangers you live with. Since I am still new to Melbourne, I like to explore the city and surroundings if time permits. Other activities I enjoy are watching some TV shows or the occasional movie. Although I've only listed a few suburbs it doesn't really matter to me where exactly I'll be settling down as long as CBD can be reached within reasonable time. Also the length of 6 months is more or less irrelevant. If it feels right I am open to stay for longer. If you feel like I would fit in with your current household, I'd be happy to receive a message from you. Cheers.
Hi guys, I'm relocating from Brisbane to Melbourne in August/September and looking to share a house with someone that is easy going, clean and respectful. Furnished room would be preferred but not essential if the right opportunity came along. I'm an outgoing, workaholic that loves to travel, be outdoors, go to live gigs / festivals, binge watch Netflix and have a few beers and talk nonsense. Hoping to meet some awesome people that can show me the local 'hot-spots' and to get back into a fitness regime - so any new gym buddies would be a bonus :D I'm currently travelling around America at the moment so message through the website is easiest :)
Hello! Laid-back 'extroverted introvert' here looking for a place to stay for 6 months before I go travelling to EU in February 2018. I'm being moved on out my current apartment so the owner's son can move in, which is really bad timing for me! Help! I'm looking for a sharehouse but not looking for a second family, if you know what I mean! I work fulltime doing IT during the day, and after hours I'll either be drawing, gaming, or out with mates somewhere. I'm friendly and always down for a drink or coffee. Respectful, creative, relatively clean, and on-time with the bills. Cheers! Clint
Hey guys I'm Andrew, 23, and currently studying Comm Design/Business and working in retail. Pretty laid-back kinda guy, with most of my time spent either studying or working, but do love going out for the occasional drink/boogie with mates or just staying at home endlessly watching Netflix comedy specials. Other exciting interests include cooking (am veg so basically just add truffle oil to everything and it comes out pretty decent; just waiting for the day that stroke takes me down), reading, travelling and music. I've lived in share-housing previously so am respectful of any and all living expectations you may have! I've also been living by myself for the past couple of years so I'm pretty used to cleaning/tiding up on a regular basis. I'm only at uni once or twice a week but then usually work the remaining days or catch up with mates so wouldn't be home a whole lot during the day, except when I have folios due, then I will transform into an unidentifiable land mammal that lives solely off of grain waves and vino, its genuinely fascinating how I survive through it. I'm not too fussed about the people I'd be living with, besides the usual trustworthy and reliable qualities anyone would want! Being hilarious is a bonus but even just the occasional good tv quote will be sufficient (if its from Veep then there's soul mate potential right there). Pretty terrible with these descriptions so feel free to message if you've got any other questions !
Hello, I'm a 33 year old professional who works in Heath Care. I'm hoping to find a house with beautiful people who appreciate simplicity, kindness and generosity. I've been in Melbourne for about 5 years now and keep discovering new things about this city. I work a regular 9-5 shift and like to relax at home most weekdays. This includes indulging in conversation about the world, bingeing on an interesting TV show or cooking up some ethnic food. My interests include world cinema, I'm always looking forward to different film festivals. Multi culture, we have to consider us lucky to be in a city that offers so much diversity, this includes trying different restaurants and cuisines. I'm guilty of traveling hours to sample new foods (Afghan in Dandenong). I don't drink and party as I much as i used to but more then happy to socializes with my housemates as i find myself more comfortable in intimate group settings. I'm not a big fan of sports and would rather spend my time reading, gardening or traveling Ideally I'm looking for a house/ apartment in the inner north (I fell in love with this area a few years back) Northcote, Thornbury, Clifton Hill, Westgarth, Brunswick East with 1/2 people. I offer my future housemates respect, kindness and consideration, I'm fairly low maintenance and pull my weight when it comes to tidying up or contributing to group dynamics. I would like to write more about myself but i rather meet over coffee/chai to tell you more about my life. This feels like a dating profile without the actual dating :) Please feel free to contact me for more details Peace Saqib
I'm a musician and a creative guy. I'm a freelance editor. I like to go out in Fitzroy in particular. I've just moved from Sydney to Melbourne. I need a place to stay by early August as my sublet in Brunswick West expires then.
Hi! I am an open-minded student who has just moved to Melbourne from London. I am a tidy person who likes silence during the week and does not mind having someone over on the weekends. I am looking for a fully furnished room to which I could move on 18th August within 20minutes of travel to Parkville. If you have a room like that do not hesitate to contact me ! Looking forward to hearing from you Jacob
