Well howdy, Sheena's the name and making friends is the game. The main things I have been told are that I'm smart, generous, wise, and honest. I would describe myself as a person who adores meeting new people and respects everyone regardless of their differences. The qualities I possess which make me a great housemate include, but aren't limited to: clean, sociable, respectful, private, and I make some mean food (you’d die for my fudge.) I’m 18 years of age and moved out of home nearly 2 years ago, currently live in NSW with a housemate, and I plan to move to Melbourne after Christmas. I work two jobs as a waitress and I will find another one as soon as I move in. I also have my license. What do I do for fun? Well, simultaneously nothing and many things. Mostly I hang out on my phone like the majority of people nowadays, but when I put it down I play video games, draw, read, and of course, go to my local café nearly every day for a coffee. I also adore going for scenic walks and being in the present moment. I love going for a few drinks with friends on the weekends and I hate wine but respect those who can stomach it. If you’d like to know more, please shoot me a message, as I won’t bite :)
Hey there! I'm Lila, 27, vegan, a musician/piano tutor, studying childcare, and working at a Steiner School. I’m a reliable and clean housemate who values mindfulness in my home. Looking for a room in the inner-northern suburbs mid-late January 2019.
I'm a 25 year old British backpacker, looking to relocate to Melbourne from Brisbane this coming weekend. I've just finished working down in Victoria on a solar farm and looking forward to being back in civilisation! I'm incredibly laid back and easy going, love to socialise, going down to the local, sports, music, and having a few on the weekend! I'm ideally looking for a place with a good atmosphere, as its the people you live with that make the experience. I'm not limited on a 3 month stay, as it very much depends on how things go. I may decide I never want to leave!
I work at Max Watts live music venue serving the bar in the evening and working with production crew during the day. I love my job and share in the passion with some of my closest friends - we have a great crew and have the most fun. I’m often writing tunes and playing gigs with my band, heading out to the suburbs to see my family, listening to records, enjoying some solitude relaxing, or in good company chilling and sharing stories (and beers). I'm no master chef but I can cook, even if not that well, well enough to survive :)
My name is Jade and I grew up at an international school in Singapore, with South African, American, Australia and Chinese cultural backgrounds. I am starting my Masters of Teaching (Primary) at Melbourne University next year and will get a job in childcare while I study. I'm moving from Sydney where I just finished my undergraduate at Sydney University. I enjoy playing basketball/running, listening to music, reading, playing boardgames, having a drink with friends. Would consider myself a clean, tidy, organised and considerate flatmate. Hope to hear from you soon! :)
Hello, me and my partner have recently moved to Melbourne. We're looking for somewhere to stay for the short term up until we go away for Christmas. We're easy going, tidy and respectful people. We enjoy meeting people but also do our own stuff. We love food - eating out and cooking and are interested in nutrition and health. Both like to swim and do yoga sometimes :)
Hey! 😊 I’m 26 from England. Currently working in a cafe but looking for a more permanent job in mental health. I’m clean, tidy and respectful. Enjoy chilled nights in watching movies but also love socialising and seeing my friends. I’m flexible on how long I stay - my current visa expires at the end of November 2019 so would be maximum a year at this point but minimum probably 3 months. Really looking forward to meeting new people and having my own room/space 😁 Thanks for reading!
Hey! I'm Sasha:) currently studying full time so pretty busy with contact hours but in my spare time I love to hang out with friends, read, write, watch films, go on adventures. I have lived out of home for the most part of 4 years and really enjoy getting to know people whilst remaining independent and respectful of the living environment. Would love to be in, and contribute to a supportive home in which everyone feels like family. Thanks !!
Are you the cool people in a stressfree home I'm looking to share with? :) Moved to Melbourne years ago from Brisbane, Love where I live and have for a year, and my housemates! But the lease is ending, housemates moving overseas so I'm moving too. Work full time, like to keep fit, Always pay bills & rent on time. Even know how to clean up, change a toilet roll and take a bin out :)
Namaste everyone 🙏🏾(sounds pretty spiritual right but I’m not that spiritual) I am looking for a place around Brunswick, Coburg area. Please read my story. Since one of my house mate decide to go crazy, not paying rent, stay up all night drinking and making holes in wall with his fist, we all have be asked to move out from this awesome share house in Brunswick west by December 2nd. This is the second time in past 6 months I am ending up in similar situation coz of a house mate. I have almost lost my faith in share housing in Melbourne from these incidents. As a last attempt I’m here searching for a decent place to call my home. I am looking for a room around brunswic or Coburg. I have been share housing in Melbourne for past 4 years and have a good track record. I got a decent job which pays bills (I’m a toolmaker), love cooking and sharing meals, always happy for a chat. If you love spicy food you want me as a house mate, I love cooking and sharing food. I like quiet weekdays and little bit of fun on weekends. I can’t handle party house anymore. My budget is around 700$ per month. Let me know if you got something for me That attached photo is my current bedroom.
Hey guys, I'm Jake, and I'm moving to Melbourne (from Vancouver, Canada) for a working holiday in November. My company has a WeWork space that I'll try to go to most days, but I work remotely, so a place with decent wifi would be ideal! I'm super clean and easy going, and looking to meet people to explore the city with. Some things I like to do are: - Drink beer - Bike (around the city or on mountains) - Snowboard/Longboard - Play guitar/make music - Hang out at the beach - Play sports Shoot me a message if it sounds like we'd be a good fit!
I'm from the UK, currently living in Melbourne and wanting to find a home and also a group of friends! I enjoy wine (most alcohol really), food, music, glitter and having a good chat. I am looking for a house with a good atemosphere, cooking, watching films and drinking together!
Hi! My name is Charlotte, I'm 22 and from the rainy UK. I'm looking for somewhere a bit more homey than a hostel whilst travelling and working in Australia. I'm hoping to move in as soon as possible and will be in Melbourne for 2 months. When I'm at home I like to chill and watch movies etc, I enjoy hanging out with flatmates but respectful if you want to do your own thing. I like to cook at home and happy to share a meal with others. I keep my living space clean and tidy but not fussy about writing labels on everything.
27 y.o musician who loves having some beers and a socialise, pretty chilled guy looking for some like minded people. any musical related things im doing are always kept to a respectable volume. Dont hesitate to contact about any vacancies or questions you may have, cheers ps says 6 months stay time but happy to go longer than that in the right place 🤙🏽
Hi there! My name is Jasmine, and I’m in a bit of a jam. Due to unforeseen circumstances my current housemate has to move to Sydney in a month, which leaves me with the delightful task of finding a new home! Ideally I’m looking for someone to apply for and sign onto the lease of a new place with me. So if you’re looking for a new home and don’t have anyone to share with, I’m your girl! Why you should choose me as your next flatmate: ⭐️ I have all the requirements to furnish an apartment already so no need to buy couches etc! ⭐️ Have epic quantities of rad kitchen stuff including a pasta maker ⭐️ Can cook and share meals ⭐️ Will frequently buy you random snacks/chocolate from the supermarket because who doesn’t love snacks? ⭐️ Expert cleaner and tidier ✌🏼 ⭐️ Bookworm aka all of my hobbies are quiet 😉 ⭐️ I also come with a rabbit who is adorable and always up for cuddles A little about me: I am a 25yo masters student, studying teaching. I’m a quiet, introverted, bookworm-y kind of person for the most part, but I do like to have wine-induced chats and fun as well. I tend to be a bit of a homebody - I keep things neat and clean, I like to share home-cooked meals, and just generally do all the things that make a ‘house’ a ‘home.’ I also have a pet rabbit who is precious and precocious and non-negotiable as I love her more than life itself. 😛 I’ve lived in quite a few share houses in my time, and at this stage in my life I’d really like to find someone who can be a friend as well as just a housemate. Someone with whom I can share meals, chats, movies, brunch, gossip, and invite out to join my other friends too. So if that sounds like the kind of house you’d like to life in then please do hit me up!
I’m 21 years old, working in the Hospitality Industry! I’m usually out and about during the daytime working, however do go out of a nighttime a lot too! Always love to have a chat and hangout, but do really value my downtime :)
Hi, I’m Becky (35) I'm a disability support worker, study media and communication at La Trobe and every now and then I present children's activities and make balloon animals. My main hobby/interest is comedy. I go out to see stand-up a lot and like comedy tv shows and movies. I also watch documentaries, follow the news and read non-fiction books. Mostly I do my own thing, but I like to socialise with my housemates a bit and have the occasional house dinners or drink. I have all my bedroom furniture and my great grandparent's small table and four chairs. I also have a big painting that can go up in the shared area or my room. I will need somewhere to park my car. I don't care if it is on or off street.
Hey! My name is Eefke, 27 years old and I'm from Germany. I love traveling and getting to know new cultures and meeting new people! After just having finished my bachelors degree in architecture at the beginning of this year, I started traveling and would love to continue this great opportunity with the working holiday visa I just received and get to know Australia! I chose Melbourne as a starting point with its grand variety in culture and city life and the ocean nearby. I love nature and exploring outside, cooking together and am into music, dance and art. Growing up with four siblings and a cat, I love company and value a good community! Nevertheless, I respect that everyone needs to take time to themselves and that a clean environment is important for an easy going living together. I am looking forward to meeting you!
Hello! I'm looking for a new home! I'm 29, vegetarian, love craft beer, music festivals, bass music, meditating, running and cleaning ;) I'm looking for a calm and happy household, I tend to be out the house a lot, but when I'm home I really value knowing my housemates and getting along. I work full time 9-5, happy with long or short term & happy to go on the lease. Ideally I would like to move in the first week of October but I'm flexible for the right place. I look forward to meeting you! :)
Hi, my boyfriend Camilo and I are looking for a place for the next 6 months at least. We are looking for a cozy place that feels like home, love potplants, places for sitting, reading and drinking tea or wine on our own or with our flatmates. We are fine with pets. We are not looking for a party house. We are neat and tidy and used to and happy to share in cleaning duties. I am studying art and photography and work part-time as waitress while also doing a bit of freelancing on the side. Camilo is studying project management and works as barista, cook and soccer coach. We have to move out of our current house on the 15th December latest, but would ideally be looking for a move-in date from the 10th of December. We'd love to hear from you if you think that we'd fit in well in your house.
