I'm a third-year ANU student. I love great chats but also personal space. I'm really tidy and am keen for to take part in the cleaning roster or anything like that. I'm a department officer at the ANU Students Association so will have a steady income to pay fortnightly/monthly rent.
Hello! My name is Allan Sko and I'm the Publisher of local entertainment guide BMA Magazine, which keeps me out of trouble (or in trouble, as the case may be). I'm a second generation Canberran (my Mum was born here in 1944, back when this was nothing but pastures and fields) but I spent my formative years (10 - 18) in England and thus have an amusing twang to my accent. I'm an easy-going, flexible kind of fella who is equally happy hanging out with fellow flatmates watching films/shows, playing games be they of the board or computer variety and simply shooting the breeze, or allowing people their personal space unbothered. I have a degree in house cleaning with majors in vacuuming and toilet cleaning. I enjoy going out to catch gigs, theatre shows and movies, as well as staying in binge-watching shows and reading. Also, being the BMA Publisher gives you the keys to the city in a sense of scoring free tickets, so I would be more than happy to take anyone along for a jaunt. I am also a divorcee and proud father of two children, but this won't factor into the space. Don't hesitate to ask any questions you may have. In the meantime, I hope this finds this well, I look forward to potentially meeting you, and best of luck with the search!
I'm a 24yr old guy, working full time as a carpenter, easy going, will pull my weight around the house. I'm always up for a chat, drink or board games, but i am respectful of peoples privacy and time to them self and will expect the same in return.
Hello! I am a student at ANU in my final year of study in Sustainability and Enviro Science. I have just relocated to Canberra after some time in Perth and Melbourne. I have lived in share-houses before and am very considerate of others, clean up after myself and always do my share of household tasks. I love adventures in nature, playing/listening to music (don't worry, its quiet), and supporting social and environmental justice causes. I am hoping to find a house with heating (this Canberra winter is a killer), friendly people in their 20s who are reasonably social- I would love a cuppa tea or a glass of wine and chats every now and then, or the occasional shared meal etc. I do tend to get busy and need my time at home to recharge but still love some social times, and am interested in living in more of a "Home" than just a room in a house. Can move in late July but I am pretty flexible for the right place and absolutely happy to pay rent earlier if needed, or move in a bit later (August 1st would be the latest).
Hi future housemates, My name is Richard, I'm 29 and working full-time in the APS. I'm very laid back and sociable so get along with just about anyone. I keep pretty active, used to be a keen rower and now have a go at just about anything to stop going stir crazy! I've lived in share houses before so I'm happy living with housemates, doing my bit around the house, chilling out at home and respecting each other's space. I am neat and tidy, non smoker, social drinker but definitely not a huge party animal. Looking for a larger room as I have a King sized bed to accommodate my height.
I love to binge watch TV shows, stay in and read. I enoy tidying up and keeping things organised, although cooking is not my strongest suite. I'm open minded in all matters and I like helping out others in their social/personal matters. Simply looking for a stable, cordial life at my time away from University.
I am moving from Melbourne to Canberra to buckle down and finish my degree in computing after taking some time off. Ideally looking for somewhere to call home, although I'm happy with temporary arrangements as well. I've been filling out 1form applications for almost five years now, so needless to say that I'm fully house trained. I am incredibly easy-going and am respectful of others' space and privacy. I recently ruptured my PCL so my interests have recently become a lot more sedentary. In my spare time, I like eating, cross-stitching, playing board games, exploring the city, and binging on Netflix. I'm a bit of a green thumb and am big on sustainable living. I'm also an advocate for mindfulness and have been trying to live life more deliberately. I try to keep active, although lately that's been mostly limited to the gym and cycling as of late. I tend to keep busy, but am more than keen for a chat with an occasional glass of wine. P.S. I can and will happily cook for you! P.P.S I can also come with an xbox one with kinect and apple TV
I'm an international student coming to ANU for my post-graduation. I'm a punctual, clean and well organised person. I respect others privacy. Also I'm a vegetarian and I don't drink or smoke. That's pretty much about me.
Seeking a large room, in a warm friendly house in Canberra! Also interested in teaming up with others to find a nice place. I'm an experienced house-sharer, work full time, considerate of others, clean, respectful, social / independent. I'm a creative type, enjoy a good conversation, playing guitar, photography / videography, and getting out into nature for a decent walk. Currently in a one bedroom apartment paying a silly amount of rent on my own. Want to reduce my living costs, and join some other likeminded folk in a warm, comfortable, spacious place that's homely. Open to teaming up with a few others and getting a place, if the personalities all work. What i need is a large unfurnished room to fit my queen sized bed, shelving and large desk, or a seperate area / room / study for shelving / desk. Also have a car, so will need a space to park that. Have a small bunch of furniture - queen sized bed, couch x2, fridge, microwave, bookshelves, 46" TV, stereo, bookshelves, etc... can be used if needed, otherwise will be put into storage / sold. If you think we'd be a good fit get in touch! Anthony.
I have just graduated from ANU. I am an international student from Singapore. I love watching comedy shows , my favourite being Brooklyn- nine nine. I love chocolate and dancing. I studied psychology and management at ANU . I like my own time but happy to hang out as well! I am a tidy person and like to keep my surroundings clean.
Hey there guys, My name is Matt and I've recently made the move to Canberra from Adelaide. I'm a young professional working in an engineering services consultancy newly established in the ACT. I'm looking for some like-minded, laid back young professionals or students who are keen for a chat, hang out together on the weekends, but respectful to the commitments of others. I'm an easy going, considerate and a country boy who's lived in shared accommodation / rental environments for the previous 9 years. I love spending time outside, working out at the gym, cooking up a storm and the occasional Netflix binge. My work weeks are typically high energy early morning starts and late nights. My weekends are usually quiet but social. Internet and off-street carparking are preferred. I'm pretty open to teaming up with others to start a new house in the inner suburbs. So if you're interested, hit me up!
Hello! I'm Lilian and I am moving to Canberra from Sydney for work so I'm looking for a place to move into. I tidy up after myself, am considerate of others, and enjoy socialising and having a laugh as well as having some downtime on my own. I also love going for walks, especially around the bush or somewhere aesthetically pleasing, doing some reading and trying my hand at cooking new recipes.
I've recently moved to Canberra from Darwin to start a graduate position in government. I'll be reasonably busy during the week, but I'm looking forward getting out to explore Canberra (which might involve having a drink) on weekends! I enjoy cooking, playing/watching sport and camping, I'm friendly, easy going, all round great person etc etc.. Pretty keen to start a new share house so get in touch if you might be interested!
Hi, my name is Ben. I'm in my late 20's and I'm moving back to Canberra (early July) after a year in Sydney. I'll be starting a new role at ANU working on their strategy for the prevention of sexual assault and sexual harassment. I expect it will be pretty full on, though I'm excited to be focusing on something so important. Outside of work I really enjoy cooking (though heads up, I'm vegan), yoga, hiking and the outdoors, wine, reading and movies. I also enjoy the occasional Netflix binge, chats about world issues and or the future and playing boardgames. Ideally looking for a chilled house, with people who appreciate the need for time alone, though also enjoy the occasional hang or meal together.
Hi, I am a recent engineering graduate from the Australian National University who is moving to Melbourne for work. I am a bubbly girl, a shopping addict and and an Electronics engineer. I like tea, dancing, meal prepping, going to the gym and chatting over cocktails every now and then. I will be working full time and studying for post graduate law school (yeah it's a career change from engineering :P). I am not a party animal and I am a clean freak who has been living in share-houses in Canberra. I respect everyone's personal space and privacy but I am always down for a chat. Oh also, I study a lot so I am very quiet and nerdy. I am looking for a room that fits a double bed and a study desk. I am also looking for clean respectable housemates who are preferably working professionals like me. I am looking to move in as soon as possible.
Hey there, from Sydney originally but have lived in the ACT for 5.5yrs. I am a full time venue manager for a delish restaurant/bar in Canberra. Few things about me, am very easy going and always up for a laugh. I enjoy listening to music, eating/drinking, puzzles, the odd hike here or there and much more. Appreciate a good balance between quiet time and socialising. As a housemate, I never leave a mess behind (except for my own bedroom) and understand the boundaries of a share house.
I’m looking for a room/teamup starting any time from July (although this is somewhat flexible). Looking to move into somewhere for the longer term if it’s the right fit. A bit about me: I enjoy travelling, architecture, keeping fit, doggos. Minor Chinese reality TV personality in a past life. Pretty easy going sort of guy at home, do most of my socialising outside the house but happy to do stuff with housemates too. Have some pretty nice furniture to contribute as well! I’ve lived in multiple sharehouses through uni and am now looking to save some money (currently paying $390/week). I’m a full time public servant and have never missed any sort of rent payment. I’m clean but not super pedantic about it - happy to adjust to suit others’ preferences/go on to rosters etc. Message me if it sounds like we’d be a good fit!
Hello! I'm moving from Flagstaff, Arizona to Canberra in September to start a post doc at ANU researching eucalyptus genomics. I'm looking forward to exploring Aus and plan on doing a lot of backpacking, camping, and beach time on the weekends. I appreciate a fairly quiet and clutter free space, but I'm not a neat freak. Ideally I'd love to find a small house or granny flat biking distance to ANU, near a good yoga studio, and with backyard space for sipping morning coffee, gardening, and the occasional dinner party. I love to cook, so a decent sized kitchen would be a big plus. I'm easy going, friendly, and respectful of personal space. I don't smoke and I don't drink regularly, but I appreciate good conversation over a glass of wine now and then. I'll be in Canberra for ~3 years and am flexible on shorter or longer term rentals. I plan to arrive in early September, but if the perfect place came up in August, I'd be willing to pay an extra month's rent to secure a great long-term lease. Message me if you're interested!
I am 27 years old and I will be starting a PhD at UNSW Canberra this July. Born and raised in India, I have had some experience travelling and living in foreign countries, but I will be in Australia for the very first time. I am very excited about moving to Australia for my higher studies. What would make me a good tenant to have and an easy person to live with? I am hardworking, kind, polite, and agreeable. Additionally, I am a literature student, a strict adherent of the dictum 'cleanliness is godliness', a yoga-enthusiast, non-smoker, non-allergic to animals, and greatly appreciative of foreign cultures.
I live in Melbourne, but I am moving to Canberra to study at ANU. I move out of my current place on the 6th of July and Uni starts the 23rd, so looking to move in during that period, but flexible with dates, though the earlier the better. I finished a BSc in Psychology last year and will be studying Law at ANU. I like to read, write, play music, travel, and get chatty over a drink. I mostly get around by bike, occasionally go indoor bouldering. Good in the kitchen, plenty of experience in sharehouses. Non-smoker, don't own pets, but happy to live with them. Looking for somewhere not too far from ANU.
I'd rather not bore you with why I'd be great to live with because I'm a clean person, friendly, etc etc.. but in all honesty I love food and if we end up being flatmates, you will never go hungry :-) If you have any questions feel free to shoot me a message, I'd be happy to have a chat!
