Hi. I'm an easy-going, tidy, reliable, respectful, and responsible flatmate. I'm looking for a room, preferably furnished and with own ensuite/bathroom, for six months. I have a great job - I'm a UX Designer - and sometimes travel for work. I'm renovating a house in Orange, so I head back there at least one weekend a month. I enjoy travel, trivia, board games, movies (especially foreign and arthouse), TV/Netflix, cooking, swimming and reading.
Hi Flatmates, Joss H (housemate 2015/2016) said I am "Fun, easy going and relaxed. Love to laugh but also very responsible and well mannered". 2015/16 I was living back home in Western Australia working as an Events Manager but have made the move back to the east coast to attend Canberra University and work part -time in HR. I have been staying with family in Murrumbateman while I found my feet here in the ACT but the commute is starting to take its toll. In Wa I was living with some married friends one of which works in Brazil so one minute it was a girls house and for every second month its a mixed house (I'm adaptable). After growing up in Margaret River I enjoy a good vino instead of a night out.My old housemate Emma D always calls me up for a laugh and a good dance around the house when I'm home. I love cooking dinners to catch up with my housemates but also enjoy a good balanced household where everyone does their own thing. If you think you could live with an outgoing, caring human, send me a message. Looking forward to hearing from you. *I have plenty of references if needed.
Work full time, like to head out some weekends, also enjoy staying in on the occasion with a movie or game. Like to stay entertained with people, music, sport, books, television, movies, walks, shopping, eating. I keep a pretty clean place but definitely not obsessive. I am very respectful of everyone and am pretty relaxed and friendly. Mostly non smoker but I can be guilty of the occasional cigarette or two. Been known to cook the best bolognese in town!
Tidy, clean, organised, lived with housemates for many years, enjoy cooking. Pretty relaxed with bathroom usage. Christian, tries to live those values. I'll be starting my PhD in Philosophy, but am currently a full time teacher, living in WA. Just wanted to see if I could organise accommodation in advance :) I love to dance (tango and flamenco) and come complete with multiple teapots and a tea collection. I have a habit of adding wine to almost everything I cook ... wine not?
Hello! I'm a friendly full time public servant looking for a new place to call home. I've lived in a few share houses over the years so I'm good with keeping communal areas clean and tidy as well as respecting personal space. I'm easy going, considerate, quite into music, enjoy catching up on a few tv shows (the expanse, and doctor who amongst others) and a good hike. When i'm home I'm generally happy to share a meal, socialise or just shoot the breeze about life and stuff.
Hi, I am a quiet, clean friendly girl who likes company and a chat but also really likes coming home at the end of day and spending time alone. I enjoy playing a bit of sport, relaxing with a wine and trashy tv and going out with friends. Whilst I enjoy being social but tend not to have friends over too regularly. I am clean and respectful, open and happy to chat about any concerns or requirements that you may have in regards to being housemates.
I'll be moving to Canberra for a role in the public service. I'm pretty relaxed and respectful of personal space. I'd also like to live someone who is reasonably tidy. I'm not overly talkative, but I think I'm a good listener. i enjoy playing and watching sport, watching TV shows, reading, playing board games and exploring the city.
Hi, I'm a student from the Netherlands and I'm going to work at the Dutch embassy for 6 months. Therefor I'm looking for a nice place to stay in Canberra. I'm a social guy who likes to hang out, grab a beer, or do something active together. I myself are an enthousiastic speed skater and cyclist and I love movies!
I'm a fourth year uni student in Canberra, studying Chinese language and history. I'm tidy and pretty quiet, though I'm always up for a chat over a cup of tea. I'm looking for a tidy, friendly household (if you've got any cooking/cleaning rosters I'm keen to join). I love pets and I'd help walk dogs if you have them.
Just moved back to Canberra at the start of this year permanently. I'm 40 years old, work fulltime in signage sales Mon - Friday and also part own a kids sporting club which runs three nights a week and Sundays. I like to think I'm clean, honest, reliable with rent and low maintenance. Hoping to share with someone like minded who is also a good communicator when it comes to respecting each other. Looking for a 6 month term with the option of extending if things go well.
I'm starting a new job within the APS from September. I'm a friendly and easy going guy from Sydney who enjoys the outdoors, hanging out with friends over a meal or drinks and exploring around town. I'm very tidy and clean and will respect personal spaces. Currently, I'm looking for a furnished room, preferably with all bills and wifi included and I'm not too fussy with the location in Canberra for now. :)
Hi :) I'm 25 and moving to Canberra for the first time on a temp contract on the 6th of August and need all the help I can get. I am looking for a short term to start off with and if I get extended, hopefully, longer term rental. As I don't know my way around yet, I am looking for something very close to work - Acton, Reid, Braddon and Turner would be ideal. However you have an apartment/house that is close to busses, and a short bus ride away, I'm definitely interested. Thanking you all in advance if you have read this and if you can help!! Lana
I'm quiet, clean, love a mix of time to myself and keeping company. I love boardgames and will probably Lok to explore some of the nature reserves whilst I'm in Canberra (moving from Sydney for work) :). Moving from Sydney I have a load of kitchen gear (including appliances), a couch, a tv, a coffee table, table and chairs to contribute to setting up a place.
I'm Barry, I was a student, taking a break from uni to work. Currently working part time, looking to go full time in the near future. I have lived in a share house before and the recommendation i got from the owner helped me rent my own place. I am now looking to get back into share housing. I enjoy having a clean place, and would be more than happy to help around the house. I have my own car and furniture (bed, desk, chair, etc) so an unfurnished room is highly preferred. I also have a sofa, coffee table, TV stand, fridge and washing machine if any of these are needed. In my spare time, i enjoy video games and am looking to get back into biking. Would be awesome if we could bike together!
Hi I'm Ash I moved to Canberra from Bathurst in 2012, straight after finishing High School. In April I graduated from the University of Canberra with a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Communication and Media Studies. For the past year and a half, I have worked full-time at a small law firm on London Circuit and I am currently completing my admissions course and expect to be admitted as a solicitor in October. I am looking for a place within walking distance of the city and hope to join a house with roomies who will become pals. Titbits about me: - I am a vegetarian, but I am not preachy about it; - I currently live with family; - I love New Girl and yes I do probably have unrealistic housemate / shared living expectations (also I am honestly probably a lot Schmidt and a little bit Winston); - I work out pretty regularly and would love a roomy who'd like to go for walks and talks; - I have some nice pieces of furniture; - You can have a little stalk of me on Instagram and you'll soon discover that I love The Cupping Room and that I drink a lot of coffee; - I was a bartender for five years before starting my legal career; - I consider myself to be funny, honest and very loyal; - I am bloody excellent at time management; - I don't leave a mess; and - I will cook delicious vegetarian meals, but I am rubbish at baking cakes and cookies (sorry). If you think we could be housemates/pals then please get in touch. Ash
I am such an easy-going, enthusiastic, bubbly person who loves meeting new people. I am generous, dedicated and giving. I am studying Development Studies at ANU; to be able to help people who don't have the resources to help themselves. I have a passion for bringing out the best in people. I am really looking forward to moving out of student accomodation and living with some cool people that love to chat and hang out together in this gorgeous city.
Hi guys, my names Alicia, I'm 19 and work full time. Looking to move into a flat that's a fun environment, everyone gets along well but also respects each others privacy and space. I'm a very neat and organised person and I've lived in flat share situations before so I know what it's like to respect other as well as maintain a great relationship with them. I'm more of a people person, I love to go out on the weekend, hang out with my friends, take photos (of myself) but also love my own down time as well. I love animals, so if you have animals (especially dogs) that is not a problem. Would love to hear from you if you think you have room for one more xoxo
Hey there, I am Thomas. I grew up in Paris and studied Earth Sciences in both Paris and Zürich (five months). For the next three to four years I will be studying at the Research School of Earth Sciences of the ANU as a PhD candidate. I am definitely easy-going, love listening to music, enjoy meeting up and partying with friends as well as watching movies or playing games. Not the best cook, expect me to try, but success is not always there ! Most importantly I would say, always paying attention to others and ready to give a hand ! I am up for a Skype if you consider it helpful, just send me a message.
Hi everyone! I'm a Registered Nurse at the Canberra Hospital, looking for a room in a share house. I'm also currently studying a post grad so am very busy, but also quite social. When I'm not studying or working I'm either binging on TV shows or hanging out with friends.
Hey, I am a student completing my hospitality internship at The Hotel Kurrajong. Therefore, would be working part time. I am very easy going and fairly adjustable. I like to socialize but at the same time do my own thing. Really love to cook, play a few sports (cricket, football) and learning to play the guitar (New hobby :p). Would preferably look for an accommodation in south Canberra or city center as I do not have a vehicle or near a public transport stop for easy access. Cheers, Arvind
I'm a 23-year-old soon to be public health grad from Melbourne who will be working full-time from March 2018. I'm looking for housemates/share-house close to Forrest so I can cycle/walk/take public transport. Peter is 24, an audiologist who will be working on Northbourne Avenue. You can expect us to keep our area tidy and clean, contribute to our fair share of the housework and pay rent and bills on time. I love going to musicals, concerts, visiting art galleries and planning future holiday trips. I also enjoy visiting the cinema, exploring the bush/going on road trips whenever I can and spending quality time with friends and family. I plan to visit home often on weekends.
