Hi my name is Stella and I'm looking to move to Canberra in the immediate future. I'm hoping to study at UC or ANU. I have a great work ethic with jobs lined up in canberra for the move. I'm a tidy person that has a diverse range of interests including reading sport, outdoor leisure activities, games, movies, tv shows and am willing to learn about your interests.
Hi there, i am a 31 year old non smoking Aussie. I have TWO INDOOR BURMESE CATS who i love and adore. I am relocating to Canberra from Darwin and will arrive on Monday 11th November at 11:00pm (my two cats will be with me). I currently work in an admin type role for a federal disability department. Though am looking to change jobs when I arrive in Canberra (most likely to a different government department. I like to get outdoors, am active, love a few drinks with friends on the weekends (out in town not at home), love to travel and like to eat well. I also love having a little veggie and herb garden where possible :) Given my ripe old age, I like to keep a quiet home and don't like having parties in my house. I love a happy safe home and am seeking to find another female or house trained male around my age to move out with. I will be selling my car in Darwin so would like to be close to public transport as possible in order to travel to the city while I am car shopping. **** Will consider any suburb near public transport for short term *****
I just moved to Canberra from Seattle, USA, to start a PhD program in Information/Computer Science at the ANU. In my free time, I enjoy playing tennis, going on day trips, camping, painting landscapes, and watching comedy shows. Looking for a place that has great community and is clean. Looking to live with other students or young professionals. Love dogs and am okay with having a friendly one around.
Hi, I'm Andrew. I am currently in Melbourne, but am moving to Canberra for a new job in early November and looking for a room to rent/share with a friendly household, hopefully for up to 6 months. Happy to consider an apartment or a house. My lifestyle is pretty laidback. I appreciate my own space but also enjoy socialising over a drink or a meal. I like to cook, exercise, see the odd film or socialise on weekends.
Very busy professional looking for a quiet, clean, tidy and well organised household. I do travel a lot and get along well with a majority of human population :) Looking for a place that doesn't mind some social gatherings, while also respecting my personal space due to the demanding nature of my work. Although chats over fine wine and cheese platter are always welcome :) I am a house owner in another state and relocating to Canberra for work. I shared houses and rented the properties in the past, so I know the drill :p I would prefer the place to be close to Govt circle or public transport, but this is not a deal breaker. I will likely head down to Melbourne every three to four weekends.
Hi! I'm an ANU student, going into my 3rd year of engineering and science. While that keeps me busy, as well as being involved with plenty on campus and working - I am looking for a cosy home and a nice group of people to move in with. Like everyone on here apparently I am clean and easy going; and respectful of personal space. But I would like housemates who are keen for a night in (or out) together once in a while. I currently have 1 roommate up my sleeve and I'm looking for 1 more! Look forward to hearing from you!
I work full-time, and have been in Canberra for 6 years. I moved to Canberra to study, and should have had the foresight to realise that I'd end up in the public service. I try and keep my weekends busy - I enjoy playing board games, going on bike rides and cooking. I am a quiet housemate, a believer in cleaning rosters, and have gotten along with a range of housemates over the past few years. I am flexible with move-in dates in November or December.
Hi there! I'm moving down to Canberra from Brisbane at the beginning of next year to start full-time work. I'm a positive, friendly and active person who loves to explore in my spare time, whether that's a new food joint, a hiking spot or some local markets and music. I would love to move in with like-minded individuals who would also enjoy adventuring throughout Canberra on the weekends or bonding over some wine, cheese and the latest netflix episode. However, I can definitely respect the balance between socialising and alone time. I am a clean and respectful person who takes pride in their home. Ideally, I'm looking to move sometime at the beginning of January.
I'll be moving from Brisbane to Canberra for a government job, and I'd love to be in a sharehouse with people who are happy to spend time together and also appreciate individual down time when life calls for it. I love music and I love exploring the streets of the city I live in. I also enjoy time outdoors with nature. One of my favourite things to do is hearing people's stories - I love learning about an individual's culture and values so I'm all ears! I'm looking to find a place by December and hopefully move in January but I'm flexible.
Hello, I'm Ben. I consider myself to be a fairly regular 26 year old male. Love getting along with people and open minded. Canberra born and bred. Bit of a Jack of all trades. Trying to get back into keeping active after joining the public service. Do a bit of gaming (Won't chew up too much bandwidth though). I also enjoy a drink and being social, although I'm usually the quiet one in a group. Clean and tidy around the house especially in shared areas. More of a 'clean up after myself' type rather than 'everyone has their turn' but I'm flexible and will fit in with established practices. Not much of a cook but willing to learn. Will do my fair share of housework. Would love to find a place with flat mates that appreciate a really friendly vibe. Would prefer to have a 'trial period' but would love to find the right place to stay at for longer. Cheers,
Hey, I'm Josh! Looking for a room in a share-house in Canberra for next year when I start a graduate position with a APS agency. I think I'm pretty laid-back, love getting outdoors and hiking etc. I'm looking forward to heading down to Canberra and getting settled into my new home. Don't mind a beer or two - but nothing too crazy! And don't worry, I agree, the Raiders were robbed!
