Hi there, 23 year old male originally from Perth but now call Canberra home. Originally I moved for an APS job and have been here since the start of this year. I am looking to move more central from my current unit in Woden. If you are new to town, I can show you around and introduce you to some hidden gems! As a housemate I typically work long hours during the week but love having fun with friends on weekend. In winter you will find me on the slopes whilst in summer you will find me playing cricket or soccer. I also enjoy just hanging out with friends and watching the big game over a couple of beers. I am someone who can be quite chatty but at the same time recognise that often after a long day of work (or a big night) it is best for everyone to have their own space. As I am from Perth I don't get to home often so you will find me in Canberra most weekends. As a housemate I come with nearly new fridge, couch, dining table, and TV cabinet. I can also supply a TV and xbox along with netflix and foxtel subscription if that is more your interest. Looking to live with 1-2 similarly like minded, tidy people who are at a similar stage in life.
Hi, I'm Harrison although most people call me Harry. I'm 24, currently living in Melbourne and moving the Canberra (ideally early December) as I start a job in the private sector in 2020. I'm an easy-going, social guy that enjoys having a quiet beer and a good conversation but I'm equally happy to just binge Netflix on the couch. I'd say I'm quite neat and I've lived with other people in the past and understand housemate etiquette. My main hobby is athletics, I'm a 400m runner, and I spend most of my afternoons either at the track or in the gym. I'm also into my music, with a small record collection and a couple of guitars. I'm looking for a room (ideally with a separate bathroom but I am fine to share) and ideally a covered car space (although I'm flexible with the parking). I'd prefer to be living with other professionals.
Currently in my mid-twenties, I will be relocating to Canberra in January 2020 for work reasons. A clean, friendly and easy-going individual from Melbourne, I like to stay active after work and unwind at home with a good book, wine, or over trashy reality shows. I drink socially, but do not smoke.
I'm a 30 year old professional. I have my own place in the outer north but I would like to move to somewhere close to the city. I'm a firefighter and a cabinetmaker on my days off. I also train a lot so I don't spend much time at home. I am also very social but I like my down time at home. I love meeting new people and get along with everyone well-meaning.
I would consider myself to be clean, respectful and houseproud. I will be in Canberra for 6 months on a contract in the APS, full-time. Not looking for a party house, somewhere with parking (on or off street) with people preferably around the same age as me, likeminded and fun but mature. Suburbs I’m interested in are mostly around Parliament House/Manuka. Flexible with length of stay, even short term is fine for now. Please reach out if you think you have a room that would suit x
Hi there, This is Raju, I'm a doctor at Canberra Hospital. A little bit about myself, I usually leave early for work and occasionally have late/night shifts. I prefer housemates who are clean and tidy. I enjoy outdoor activities and play tennis once a week. I often read and keen to go out for brunch/coffee when I've time. I'm a big fan of stand up comedy and watch a lot of TV shows. I would like to move in next month if possible. I'm keen to find a new home. Cheers.
Hi folks, I'm Eddy and having lived in Melbourne all my life, I'm finally branching out a bit! I'll be working full time as a public servant but also be studying at the same time at Canberra Institute of Tech. I'd say I'm an agreeable person who makes sure to keep a clean space. I love to meet new people and am always down for a nice hang out, but I also make sure everyone has their own time, space and privacy as that is something I value as well. As for things I like to do, I'm a fan of fast cars, motorcycles and stretching that cardio on some great runs while some of my more sedate hobbies are writing stories and going stargazing.
I'm coming to Canberra from Melbourne, leaving an academic career for a research job at Parliament House. That job starts on 6/1/20. I'm married, with a grown up family. My wife will likely come to stay weekends several times/year. I'm quiet, but not a recluse. I’m house trained, and am looking to be part of a well organised and tidy household. I go to bed fairly early, get up early. I like getting regular exercise - Pilates, yoga, etc. (In fact, I’m a recently qualified Pilates instructor.) I ride a bike. I like to go for long walks. I don't drink much, I eat simple/clean food.
I am relocating from the Gold Coast to Canberra in mid November to start full-time work. A couple of years ago I moved over from Colombia and I recently finished my Masters in Accounting at Bond University. I’m a clean and friendly person that respects each other’s space. In my spare time, I enjoy walking along the beach (which I will miss), going on hikes, spending time with friends and family, and exploring new places.
I'm a 24-year old moving to Canberra from Adelaide in January for an APS grad job. I'm looking for a new home (room in an existing place or team-up) with social, respectful and easy-going housemates! I'm flexible on the move-in date, suburb, and number of housemates. I have been living in a share-house for several years so am well house-trained. I am generally out quite a bit in the evenings, but also enjoy getting to know my housemates and having relaxed nights in. I am friendly, easy-going, and respectful of privacy and space. My typical weekend is spent checking out bars, live music and brunch-spots, soaking up some vitty D, spending time with friends in the great outdoors, and watching AFL. If any like-minded people have a room or would like to team-up to find a place please feel free to shoot me a message!
I'm 22, moving from Brisbane to Canberra for a new job in government. I love reading, sport, a good brunch out (and the chance to explore new cafes, of which I'm hoping Canberra has many!). I've just finished up a dual degree while also working at an eco friendly store called Biome for 5 years, and am keen to move to Canberra, make some friends, and work hard. I enjoy having a good chat, but also like a bit of time to myself to recharge, so I reckon I could find a good balance with my fellow flatmates based on their needs as well as mine.
Hi there, I'm a nice, sensible, clean, healthy living, fit and active gay guy. I drink rarely and don't smoke. I am a healthcare professional and moving to Canberra from living my whole life in Perth and wanting a sea change and to live in a new city. I might be living in Canberra for 3-6 months or longer, I'm not sure at this stage. I'm a great cook and eat a predominantly plant-based diet. I'm looking for a room of my own as I like my quiet space, preferably furnished, and with a place to park my car. I'm sociable, I like unique genuine people, and like to laugh and chat over coffee, but I'm not a partier and can't deal with lots of loud music or obnoxious behaviour. If I sound like the kind of person you'd like in your house/flat please say hello! :-)
